Open invite to gush about Kellam :D (also I wanna know what the fandom might get wrong)

Hello hello!

I really have such a love/hate relationship with the Fire Emblem Awakening fandom because while it's a fun thing to interact with, I hate so much how it treats some characters, Kellam being one of them.

I love Kellam so much. He's honestly so sweet and he really does care about the well-being of his teammates and friends, even if he's rarely ever noticed because of his lack of presence. He acts like he's not bothered with never being noticed or seen, but it's really obvious how much happier he is when he does have people who are with him and spend time with him. He wasn't my first spouse in the game, but I can't bring myself to marry anyone else now because I love him so much.......

Now when it comes to the way the majority of the fandom treats him, it's frustrates me to no end. The fandom reduces him to 'haha he's invisible' and do shit like intentionally leave him out of content or when there is art of him there are people like 'why did you post a blank picture'.

He's so much more than that, and also the reason he is perceived as invisible is really sad. People either don't care enough to learn why or just don't care because 'haha meme' and it just makes me sad and mad.

Kellam is a wonderful character and deserves better than this fandom, and I love him so very much.

That page of sketches is super cute, and it was super nice seeing Patty Mattson's Cameo talking about Omellas (I know it's an old post at this point but I'm just glad someone like Sylvanas is able to bring you so much joy.) :D

Thanks! @sarenhale did a really good job with it! I chose the dancing and wall poses and left the others up to their creative freedom. I legit teared up a bit when I saw the finished product, it’s just so good and soft and delightfully sapphic!  And that cameo made me sob for days. Even now, after having watched it countless times, my heart still skips a beat when I hear Sylvanas calling Omellas “dalah’surfal” and I get so giggly... Patty could be reading my shopping list and I’d still be in love, to be honest. Blizzard might be trying hard to butcher Sylvanas, but they’ll never take her away from me!

if there’s any around, he’ll have at least one, but he won’t go looking for them. sweets in the morning may not be his favorite, but he wouldn’t turn you away if you offer some へ(｡•ิ‿ -〃)

gladio’s definitely a morning person, and i’m… the exact opposite lol

the only real pick me up i have is breakfast; even going somewhere i don’t like is better after i’ve eaten. until then, i can be… kinda grouchy (‾ε‾“)

…unless he actually picks me up and takes me wherever. he’s tried that a couple times ｡ﾟ(TヮT)ﾟ｡

Pasensiya na kung medyo naoffend kita pero 'di ako nagsisi sa nasabi ko. Someone told me that I was wearing the same wardrobe I wore yesterday. Like eew!! why would I wear the same outfit for the next day. So I speak up for myself and told the guy "Duh... look at this picture if I'm wearing the same wardrobe. I wore a black blazer yesterday and today ... I'm wearing a varsity jacket and you're looking at it right now. Obvious?!" then he replied"Oh yeah, sorry." BUT OOPS! Didn't notice that Mr Blue is right beside me 'cause I told the guy "Don't say anything like that 'cause I have lots of clothes... di katulad ng iba jan minsan lang nagpapalit" then Mr Blue didn't speak to me for two periods.
