in Courtney Milan's novel The Duke Who Didn't (link goes to author's website, which has links to purchase), the plot involves the heroine's father making a delicious sauce. There's a scene where the father talks about how since the sauce is fermented, that specific sauce can only be made in that specific location, and the same sauce made in a different place would taste different:
