I Want To Know You

I know you send me cards every year 

But they’re nothing but ink and regret 

I don’t know you’re name well

However, thank god I know how its spelt 

Do you know my favorite color?

Or that I changed my name?

I graduated highschool last year 

Tell me you know that at least

I’m sorry we aren’t close

Lets blame it on my dad 

My chest aches when I think of us

Please know I have lots of regrets 

I know that you’re dying.

And that breaks my heart

I can’t remember what it’s like to hug you 

So do I cry when you’re done?
