I have this little hc in my head that Dazai loves saying Chuuya's name and says it at every opportunity he gets. He loves teasing him just so he can go "Chuuuuya" in the end and smirk as Chuuya get's red in the face with anger. Because he wouldn't for the life of him say something that would make their relationship real, all he can do is tip toe around that line with insults and quips in the hopes of staying close enough to say his name with a certain degree of familiarity but not so close should his name consume Dazai entirely. But every time he says it, his heart feels that alien light hearted joy in knowing that he has a someone whose name he can call and someone he knows will respond no matter what. No matter what ridiculous stunt he pulls or enraging quip he makes at the red head, repeating his name reminds him of why he chooses to stay alive every day.
