John quietly stepped into the womans home.  “Ah...  Um.  Hello.”  He said looking about.  “I’m here to try and adopt a cat.”  He said as he looked around.  “I was told you are the woman in charge?”  He paused.  “Where are you anyways?”

the sign on the window catches her eye, with its bright colors and swirling patterns. she can’t read the whole thing, though apparently, whatever’s happening, it’s only for today. at least she’s pretty sure that’s what it’s trying to convey. maybe it’s a music thing. so, curiosity winning over caution, she pushes the door open, entering the shop.

it’s pretty quickly clear that there’s no music thing happening, but there’s a decent sized group gathered around a young woman. she can’t really figure out what they’re doing, from the distance, so she moves closer to watch. she wanted to figure out... whatever this is, that the poster was advertising.

most of the time!! I tend to listen to music while doing anything hglksd especially art (i listened to so much early lady gaga while drawing that bitch shirt picture), and sometimes the music will fit the theme of whatever i’m doing but sometimes it’ll just be a certain song or album or artist that i’m suddenly really into. like for a while there all i was listening to was panic!’s pray for the wicked, regardless of what i did

“Y’think?”

She’s a little out of breath, her chest rising and falling noticeably with every inhale. She’s never been run out of someone’s apartment from a reading before and she swears she saw a shoe fly at them before they managed to close the door shut. Today is a day of firsts for the usually solo fortune teller, she thinks as she looks at the other with an incredulous sparkle to her eyes. Why did she agreed to this?

“INDEED,” he manages to offer between pants, “I think it went remarkably well.”

 Considering how badly some of his other sessions had ended in the past, this one was practically smooth-sailing. Sure, things were tossed at them and words yelled about them, but at least they had the foresight to ask for half the payment upfront and the thought of that money-filled envelope nestled in his coat pocket is enough to make him laugh. He does start laughing and almost immediately his ribs send a sharp stab through his body in protest. That stops him immediately there’s a limit to how much physical activity a body sustained on a diet of mostly pizza will tolerate and their brisk departure from their client’s flat means his quota for this month is just about all used up.

“P-perhaps we should take a seat somewhere to regroup?” he is bending forward in an attempt to get rid of the stitch in his side, “I’m certain they’ve quit following us now.”

♫ - Do you listen to music when you write? If yes, what kind of music, if no, why not?

(sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.I usually prefer to not play music but if I play stuff it's not really anything out of my usual music tastes. I don’t like playing music just bc I have a really hard time focusing if there’s auditory stimuli.Some days it’s easier than others so on those days- I don’t mind listening to music while I write but for the most part it just hurts my brain if I try to listen to music and write at the same time. I need complete silence.)

Sakura quirked a brow a frown on her face.

“Nooo?” She replied, “My hands have been in my pockets this entire time. I told you I don’t scare easy, and It’s not funny.” Maybe getting in a bet with the fortune teller wasn’t a good idea, but here they were, staying the night in a supposedly haunted house, the bet being on who got scared first. Sakura mentally cursed her pride, for accepting the stupid bet, but there wasn’t really any danger here. She wasn’t going to be scared. It was a rickety old house that, sure, someone had died in, but it wasn’t really haunted. At least Sakura hoped? And if not, she’s dealt with ghosts, it shouldn’t be a problem.

she doesn’t look up, at first. her attention is totally focused on the strand of hair she’s wrapping around and around one of her fingers. winding, and unwinding, until it finally snaps. it’s almost as if she isn’t listening at all.

her mind is racing at a hundred miles an hour, though. it happens, sometimes, when the nightmares catch up with her. it’s hard, in the moments like this, to remember how far she’s come. she certainly doesn’t feel strong. she feels like everything her father told her she was.

how much does lulu know? there’s the bits danielle shares, whenever their paths intersect, but there’s her visions, too. maybe there’s no point to the secrets she holds tight to her chest, but force of habit keeps her from explaining. it’s easier to just run away, again. sometimes it feels like the only thing she knows how to do.

07.14.2018. today marks a VERY SPECIAL day for this blog & ashton’s character. it is the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of my son !!!!! i wanted to give a massive thank you to each and every one of you. whether we’re mutuals or not, whether we’ve never written with each other or if we write every day of our lives. just a HUGE thank you. i never really expected ashton to grow as much as he did ? this is the first oc i’ve really written out on tumblr ! and can i just say that you all make me feel so proud of the young man i’ve made. as you write with him, ask him questions, test him, make him grow -- i get proud of this character as if he’s my own child ? because in a lot of ways, he really is. i’ve put so much work into developing him, and y’all are the ones who strive for me to be better and for me to improve him ! and nine times out of ten, the reason he is how he is !!!! is because of the interactions he has with YOUR characters !!!!!!! and if that’s not dope, idk what is. 

i’ve made a lot of friends on ashton in this past year. some of them have come and gone, but others have been around for a long, LONG time. for those new to this blog, i hope you don’t leave me sometime soon !!! i love seeing each and every one of you on my dashboard, regardless of how often we write. you all mean the world to me.
