This is what I gathered during my first watch. Hopefully, I'll be able to upload the audio bits like I did for seasons 1-7 eventually! I'll catch all the little details then 💛

Let me get this out of the way. They did not answer the most important question of all.

In the past, Doc and Jackson have said that what they say in the commentary isn't necessarily canon. What is canon is what's in the actual show, not what they explore outside of the show because they're always changing their minds. Sometimes they disagreed while answering questions. Take that as you'd like.

Jonas didn’t abandon The Monarch after the plane crash intentionally. He assumed he died or he ran away before he got there. They hinted that Jonas downed the plane himself.

When asked if Jonas loved Rusty they say he’s a bad person, the villain of the show, and a monster. Jackson thinks he might have been a boy adventurer himself. They compare him to baby boomers forcing their children to live the lives they wanted themselves.

Does Rusty have the other twin killed when only one dies? Jackson says only when they witness the death. He referenced Ice Station Impossible. Brock has done it before.

Ritchie Valens refused to join The Guild and Red Mantle and Dragoon’s (Buddy Holly and The Big Bopper) initiation was to kill him so he wouldn’t tattle.

Doc says the second sons are the ones who succeed in The Guild, not the first sons, because they’re most likely to become evil and that’s why Dean was chosen as The Guild’s successor.

Doc described two episodes he would like to do: 1. "Heads in the water." Which is the heads of characters bobbing in the water after a crash for the entire episode. An all dialog bottle episode. 2. An episode that starts off like a regular Venture Bros episode. Then a henchman dies and everything pivots. 21 calls his wife and says “Real sorry but your husband died in service” (Doc put on his 21 voice here). We then see the wife and daughter (from another marriage) and follow them in their lives.

What is The Monarch's favorite ABBA song? Doc thinks Waterloo and Jackson thinks Take a Chance. They riff as Monarch and Dr. Girlfriend for a few seconds.

Gary's a big Sneaker Pimps fan.

Rusty doesn't have a middle name. If you ask Rusty he'll say the S stands for sexy or science or SUPER science. Rusty’s favorite musical is Starlight Express or RENT (Jackson disagreed). He's never actually watched them but he likes the advertisements.

Brock Frog is the guy that "brings in bagels". A 3rd generation Italian American from "bricklayer stock." He fell out with his dad because he wanted to bring bricks into the future. He teamed up with Professor Vigo Dale, who screwed him out of half of the company after Brick Frog gave him all of his brick ideas.

Mantilla has the ability to make things invisible by touching them but claimed it was teleportation. “It’s all bullshit…and she had money from her past”

Mantilla has been "garbage picking" from The Monarch’s trash, such as Dr. Mrs.'s costume ideas in season 3 that she had thrown away and their wedding invitation.

The guys in the warehouse with Jefferson were all roommates in the 90s.

We would have had a full episode of Force Majeure and Jonas Venture's rivalry.

We would have had another episode of Billy and Colonel Gentleman "John Wicking" after Mischa was found dead right before a doggy costume contest.

Matt Berry was supposed to voice Force Majeure.

Why does The Monarch hate Doc so much? Jackson says “Obviously it (the thought that Debra left him for Rusty) bothers him a little more than he said.”

They called Gary's hair “the popular millennial cut” and made him "half Glen Danzig half Wolverine."

Doc has drunk his own urine multiple times because they pee in bottles in the Astrobase. "Recently".

During the last scene in the movie when everyone is talking, Gary and Hatred were talking about a loofah. Hatred asked Gary "Ah...you use a loofah?". Dr. O was talking about intermittent fasting.

24 made a guest appearance in the "Fan Questions" extra for a few seconds.

They refused to answer the questions about Scare Bear and what Rusty and Billy were doing in the time machine in case they're able to continue the story.

They made a joke about telling people just enough in the commentary to get them excited and want more. (A “joke” haha)

During Prom, Pete and Billy would have studied the Push It video extensively. Pete would’ve entered the dance floor and “boxed it out” to make space. Billy would’ve walked in the circle nonchalantly. Then they would have recreated the entire dance.

Hi Ray! Using the opportunity, I want to say that i adore your performance and love you as an actor. Thank you for your work. As a Ukrainian, Misha means a lot to me, but due to the musical being originally written in 2008, a lot of nuances about Ukraine were written extremely wrong and those are very important to me and all Ukrainian fans I've met. His name is wrong. He is not Mischa Bachinski, but Misha (full name Mykhailo) Bachynskyi.Although spelling may not seem like a big deal, it does matter, especially with his surname. Mischa is incorrect spelling, but not harmful, but Bachinski is a russian spelling and similiar to Kiev, Odessa Chernobyl and "The Ukraine" (as opposed to correct spellings, Kyiv, Odesa, Chornobyl and Ukraine) which are still (for some reason) used in official Broadway script, is a remnant of russification and using russian spellings is very harmful, especially in context of a full-scale invasion happening right now. It's very important to me that you, as one of my favorite Misha actors, know that. Happy late birthday Misha Bachynskyi!💙💛

things I loved about Phoenix College's performance of rtc

(In no particular order) 1. Virgil had a bitten ear2. He skittered around like the rat he is before the play started3. In the bg there were roller coaster and screaming sounds4. Noel painted his nails 5. Virgil brought out the prizes 6. Everybody was exploring the set7. The flashbacks of life were on a crystal ball on the set (I'll send drawings later) 8. Mischa had 'Talia' tattooed ❤️9. Noel was xtremely dramatic (he's just like me fr) 10. Noel and Ocean (mortal enemies btw) held hands and then were like "EEEWWWW!!!"11. noel twerked... 12. Virgil played the bass during space age bachelor man13. Noel had a green boa for his song when he was Monique14. He also did a roundhouse kick ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤(so girliepop) 15. After Ocean's speech everyone slow clapped16. "... Huntys." -Mischa17. Noel clappee after Jane's catch phrase (he supported all of the girlies except ocean) 18. 💛 Jonathan Wesley 💛: A blue rank Bobby who used to patrol around Nick Lightbearer's home before Nick went on holiday. Now he works under Horus at the Broadcasting Tower. He is recovering from coming off his Joy.

💚 Audrey Wesley 💚: A Wastrel woman who was never able to take Joy and is fighting to make everyone come to their senses before they starve. Jonathan Wesley's little sister, whom he forgot about.

💙 Billy Morris 💙: Was one of the few children to escape the trains. He now runs errands for the citizens of Wellington Wells in exchange for food, board, or war memorabilia. He is also a pickpocket and is Vincent Morris's little brother.

🩵 Ophelia Springs 🩵: Used to be a musical duo with her lover Anette before they were discovered. Ophelia is now on Joy and has been forced to work at the Reform Club.

💜 Anette Thompsin 💜: A Wastrel who used to be a musical duo with her lover. When they were discovered, Anette was given Joy but couldn't stomach it, so she is being kept at the Labs with the Plague victims and is being researched.

🤍 Raphael Alexandre 🤍: A red rank Bobby who attempts to hide his French descent. He is very anxious and prone to anxiety attacks.

🖤 Michael (Mischa) Avelin 🖤: A blue rank Jewish Bobby who fled with his family from Russia during the war. He was shot in the knee by German soldiers when he was younger and now wears a leg brace and occasionally limps.

Ricky: pansexual, hyper, teases and makes snarky comments to show affection, gets snippy with ocean too easily, very sexual person in general, craves and requires physical affection, becomes absolutely overjoyed when anyone includes him in anything

Constance: allergic to cats, lesbian but refuses to label herself because she thinks lesbian is a bad word, burns herself on the café kitchen appliances, lips are often swollen due to biting, has gotten a lot quieter and more reserved over time since ocean made the choir

Gretchen: will put up with anything from Regina as long as she gets praise from her, very easily manipulated, "straight" but will fold for anyone with authority over her, acts sexual to fit in with Regina but doesn’t really like sex in general, will literally be raped by whoever is in charge of her and thank them afterwards

Karen: is actually just having fun, has no idea how she got in the clique, she’s just being silly, no clue where she is most of the time, likes dogs, she’s a pretty sexual person but she switches between owning it and being embarrassed of if, confident in her abilities to do anything which actually makes her really great at picking up new hobbies

Cady: observing animals has given her an insatiable desire to lead a pack, really likes monkeys, very autistic, makes jokes that no one fucking understands because she sounds like this🤓, is also abusive to Gretchen when she’s in charge of her but a lot less than Regina (she doesn’t rape her is basically the only difference)

Noel Gruber

Noel didn't really have to 'come out' as much, everyone could already sort of...sense it in him.

There's even a part in the musical when it says his mum knew from a young age and that he was told to 'dial it back' so we can assume everyone always knew.

Ricky Potts

I feel like Ricky would be very open with his sexuality and wouldn't see it as something to be concerned about people knowing, especially his friends.

"It's just who I am"

I cant see anyone being extremely shocked over Ricky coming out, he was already extremely open regarding his romantic self (when people listen to him).

It was probably when he was around 14-15 when he found the term pansexual and was like "...yeah that's me." And subsequently told everyone the next day.

He was quite calm about it.

"Hey I'm pansexual guys"

Penny Lamb

Penny again is quite the blunt person I like to think. If she thinks something is right she will just downright tell you.

Hers came as more of a shock to the choir (mostly because hey forgot she was behind them)

She started looking into it after Ricly came put to everyone and subsequently found out that gay and straight aren't aren't only ones (so she was probably 15).

After a bit of digging and a bit of time for self-reflection, she blurts out an "I'm bisexual" in the middle of choir warm-up.

Mischa Bachinski

Everything changed when same love dropped for mischa. Suddenly homopobia was no more for him.

Ukraine (and most Eastern European countries) tend to be quite homophobic, so he always sort of hid his feelings regarding men when he was home. After coming to Canada however, he was more able to express and understand himself.

He felt sort of scared when he realised he was bisexual and poly , sure he had Penny but they never really talked.

It took a while for him to finally come out to the choir, but they were all there to support him.

Mischa: "I don't think I just like women, men are cool too...maybe I'm just a really big ally?"

Noel: "Mischa no"

Constance Blackwood

I feel like Constance would have realised when she was younger (I headcannon her as pansexual) but due to the environment of Uranium, she was...hesitant.

She quickly realised that she had a crush on Ocean, and that was terrifying. She saw how Ocean would look away awkwardly when Mischa or Noel would talk about their celebrity crushes.

It made her feel...shitty, and really hesitant.

Eventually, however, It just became too much to keep to herself. So when she got home after a long day of school, she just dropped a quick "I'm pansexual" in the choir group chat, turned her phone on silent and went to go and help her parents un the cafe.

When she got home later in the evening, she looked through her phone anxiously only to see the top message from ocean being.

"I'm happy for you, Connie. I love you 💛💖💙"

And she subsequently cried that night (of joy).

Ocean O'connell Rosenberg

Enternalised homophobia goes hard with this one.

She grew up with an open family, however the need to be like other kids made her become very...conservative to be likeable.

She always knew she was a lesbian, but she was sort of scared..of herself?

Literally scared of being gay because she already felt different and isolated, she just wants to be excepted by everyone.

Everyone already knows when she comes out, she sitts them all down, unfolds her peice of paper and sniffles out a

"I've known this for a long time now, and I'm sorry for treating you all the way I did. I'm a lesbian." And brakes down crying

Immediately hugs from everyone and reassurance that it's okay and that they knew she was gay already so they never took it to heart.

An instant "wait what?"

Noel: 'did you think we didn't know? The closet is glass, Ocean. We all waste how you look at Constance anyways😒"

Ocean:"I DONT LIKE CONSTANCE-well, I mean YEAH I do but not like that!-"
