RONIN - The DEVIL'S BUTCHER
Tumblr media
Ronin may act nonchalant, but the moment you’re in bed, he drapes himself over you like a heavy blanket. Whether it’s his arm slung lazily across your waist or his whole body practically pinning you down, he needs the contact. If you try to move? Forget it—he’ll grumble, “Where d’you think you’re going?” and pull you back tighter.
No matter the situation, Ronin is a sucker for forehead kisses. If you're curled up against him, he’ll drop lazy kisses on the top of your head without even thinking about it. He finds it hilarious how quickly they make you blush and always teases you, whispering, “Blushy already, huh? How cute.”
Ronin sleeps like a tangled mess. His legs are always draped over yours, and sometimes you wake up to find his arm tucked under your neck or his head buried in your shoulder. Even if it gets too warm, he’ll stubbornly cling to you like a koala, mumbling, "You’re not escaping me."
Running his fingers through your hair is one of his favorite things—whether you're awake or asleep. He claims it’s "just to keep his hands busy," but really, it's soothing for him. Sometimes, he’ll absentmindedly braid tiny sections or twirl strands around his finger while lost in thought.
As much as Ronin plays up his confident, devil-may-care persona, he’s occasionally struck by waves of doubt, especially when dysphoria hits. He might hold you a little tighter on those nights, wordlessly seeking reassurance.
If you run your hands down his chest and kiss him gently where his scars are, it’s the kind of tenderness that undoes him. He’ll try to cover it with a half-sarcastic, “Don’t get all sappy on me,” but the slight tremor in his voice betrays him.
Sometimes, he’ll ask if you’re sure you’re okay with the way he looks, in a voice that’s so quiet it breaks your heart. Your answer always matters to him—more than he’d admit.
Ronin’s not much of a spooner in the traditional sense—he likes to wrap himself around you, snake-like, or tangle his legs with yours in the messiest, most chaotic way possible. He has a habit of lazily tossing an arm or leg over you, murmuring, “You’re not leaving, right?” as he buries his face in your neck. If you try to move, he’ll just pull you closer with an annoying little grin.
Ronin’s intimacy is all about control, not in an aggressive way, but in how he carefully chooses when and how he gives himself to you. Knowing that you love him as he is—without expectations—eases his fears, but it’s still a process.
On nights where he lets you touch the parts of him he’s most insecure about, it feels like he’s handing you a piece of his soul. He needs the reassurance that you see him fully and still love every bit.
He likes playing mind games even in the bedroom, leaning into teasing and tension just to make things more interesting. He’ll smirk against your lips, murmuring, “Think you can handle me?” knowing full well you’ve already won.
Ronin isn’t big on over-the-top dominance, but there’s always an edge to the way he kisses you—like he’s trying to claim you, even in the softest moments. It’s not about control; it’s about wanting you to feel how much you matter to him, in every breathless second.
After everything—after the teasing, kisses, and playful jabs—he’ll lie there in the quiet, holding you like you’re the only thing keeping him grounde
He’ll never say it outright, but you can hear the unspoken words in the way he presses his lips to your hair: I love you. I love you. I love you.
Ronin wakes up before you sometimes, and instead of getting up like a normal person, he decides to mess with you. He’ll tickle your nose with his hair or blow gently on your face, waiting for you to groggily swat at him. When you finally wake up annoyed, he’ll grin, kiss your forehead, and say, “Rise and shine, sweetheart. Couldn’t sleep without annoying you first.”
While Ronin enjoys having control, he gets a thrill out of moments when you try to take charge. He’ll let you straddle him or pin his hands—just to see how far you’ll take it before he flips you over, smirking, “Cute. Now it’s my turn.”
He’ll pull things like lightly slapping your thigh or teasing you when you try to resist, smirking the whole time. If you ask him to stop being such a tease, he’ll drag it out even more, murmuring, “What’s the rush? I want to enjoy every second of this.”
In his twisted way, everything he does is an expression of love. Ronin is about pushing boundaries, breaking down walls, and molding you into someone who matches his chaotic, unhinged energy. “You’re mine,” he’ll whisper, not just as a promise but a warning—he won’t ever let you go, not truly.
After everything, he’ll drape an arm over you, pull you close, and nuzzle his face into your neck. But don’t expect sweet pillow talk—he’ll mutter something like, “Can’t believe you’re stuck with me,” or “How’d I get so lucky to ruin you, huh?” He shows affection in the strangest, most chaotic ways—sometimes by stealing kisses, sometimes by pinching your nose just to annoy you.
Ronin isn’t clingy, but he’s possessive in subtle ways. He loves when you wear his clothes after, especially when they’re oversized on you. Seeing you wrapped in something of his, especially after being tangled in bed, scratches an itch deep inside him. “That’s mine now,” he’ll joke, tugging at the collar.
He enjoys pushing your limits—whether it’s with teasing or something more intense. But the moment you hit your threshold, he’ll stop instantly. He doesn’t just listen to your boundaries; he respects them, taking pride in knowing exactly how far to push without breaking you.
V- For Vigilante- Batman
Tumblr media
V isn’t someone who’s big on words or grand romantic gestures, especially in the bedroom. He shows care in the subtleties—like making sure you’re comfortable, leaving space for you to adjust, and observing how you react to him.
He’s slow to pick up on flirting, so if you make playful remarks or compliments, you might be met with a blank stare or a simple, “What are you trying to say?” But when he does catch on, he’ll become flustered, a rare softness peeking through his cool demeanor.
Touch isn’t second nature to V—he treats it like an unspoken contract, something intimate and earned. It takes time for him to initiate contact, but once he’s comfortable, you’ll notice small, deliberate gestures.
He has a habit of resting his hand on your back, just below your shoulder blades, or brushing his fingers along your arm. When you reach for him first, there’s always a flicker of hesitation before he lets himself lean into it.
In the bedroom, V’s energy is steady and composed—he isn’t someone who rushes into things. Every touch feels purposeful, as if he’s assessing your reaction and adjusting his actions accordingly. He might not say much, but his intensity speaks louder than words.
Though he’s naturally aloof, he likes when you take charge at times, especially if you lean into your nurturing but domineering side. When you pin him down playfully or grab his chin to make him look at you, a subtle smirk plays on his lips, amused by your boldness.
If you have pets, V will subtly encourage them to join you two on the bed—whether it's a cat curling up at your feet or a dog lying across the covers. He finds their presence grounding, though he’ll never admit it aloud.
You catch him more than once stroking an animal absentmindedly during conversations, and there’s a tenderness to the way he interacts with them—soft and careful, like they’re the only beings who understand him.
V may seem detached, but he’s hyper-aware of your moods. If you’re having a bad day, he won’t say much; instead, he’ll just pull you into bed and let you rest against him in silence, fingers tracing idle patterns on your skin.
If someone has hurt you or crossed your boundaries, V shifts into a dangerous kind of calm. “Do you want me to handle it?” he’ll ask in a neutral tone, fully prepared to make that person regret ever breathing near you.
On nights when sleep feels distant, V doesn’t mind spending time with you tending to plants in your room—watering them, pruning leaves, or simply sitting in comfortable silence while the scent of soil fills the air.
He loves the way you care for living things. When he watches you tend to plants with gentle hands but turns around and sees that same kindness transform into brutal protectiveness for those you love, it intrigues him deeply.
V’s way of being intimate is subtle but commanding—he won’t rush things, preferring to explore you at his own pace. He takes time to memorize every part of you, his cool fingers trailing across your skin like a silent promise.
When things get heated, he’s not one to vocalize much. Instead, you’ll catch the way his breathing hitches or how his fingers tighten on your hips ever so slightly. If you tease him for being quiet, you might get a deadpan, “Is this supposed to be a conversation?”—but the rare flash of amusement in his eyes gives him away.
V might not be outwardly affectionate, but when he does express it, it’s in ways that feel uniquely him—like pulling you into his side while reading a book together or casually draping an arm across your waist as you sleep.
If you ever catch him in a rare moment of vulnerability—like if he’s half-asleep and mumbles something soft about how much you mean to him—it’ll be a fleeting moment, and he’ll act like it never happened. But you’ll know.
He admires how you can be nurturing to animals and plants but unforgiving toward people who cross the line. When he sees you switch from soft to sharp in a heartbeat, it stirs something in him—a quiet respect and attraction.
He knows you could easily handle yourself, but there’s still a part of him that feels responsible for your safety. If things ever go wrong, V’s loyalty is absolute, and anyone who threatens you becomes a problem he’s more than willing to solve.
In the stillness of the night, when it’s just the two of you curled up together, V’s voice becomes a little softer. He might murmur simple things—how the stars looked that night, or a quiet compliment like, “You smell nice.”
And when he’s finally on the edge of sleep, with his head resting against yours and his hand resting lazily on your hip, he’ll let slip the rarest kind of confession: “You’re the only one I trust.”
Misaki- Chaos gremlin
Tumblr media
The bedroom isn’t just for sleeping—it’s for chaos. Misaki loves randomly initiating pillow fights or wrestling you onto the mattress with no warning. “Bet you can’t take me down!” they’ll challenge, even when they’re the one getting pinned two seconds later. If you play along and banter with them during these moments, they’ll grin like you’ve just made their day. Bonus points if you act dramatic when they win—“Noooo, I’ve been defeated!”—because it feeds their need for praise.
Misaki lives for your compliments, especially in casual moments. “Look at you, my little badass,” you say offhandedly, and they melt. You’ll catch them trying to hide a smile, only to respond with something like, “Heh, I know I’m amazing—but say it again.”They also adore teasing praise—“Wow, you really managed not to break anything today, proud of you”—but if you really hype them up when they’re struggling emotionally, it grounds them more than they’ll ever admit.
Misaki hates being alone and will cling to you like Velcro the moment you’re available. They’ll drag you into bed and sprawl out across you, often grumbling things like, “You’re not going anywhere, right"
They’re the type to demand cuddles but wiggle around so much it turns into a playful wrestling match. Eventually, they’ll flop dramatically on top of you, sigh, and say, “I’m staying right here. Deal with it.”
Misaki loves calling you during missions or jobs, not just because they’re bored but because it makes them feel connected. “You’re my lifeline,” they’ll joke, even though they’re dead serious about how much those calls mean to them.
Misaki is the master of cracking jokes during vulnerable moments. They’ll deflect emotional conversations with humor, brushing off their feelings like, “Eh, emotions are overrated, right?” But deep down, they’re craving someone who can see past that.
If you gently call them out—
“You’re deflecting, babe”—they’ll groan dramatically and act like you’ve caught them red-handed, but the fact that you noticed? It means the world to them.
If you’re a good cook, Misaki adores you—praising you like a culinary god and demanding home-cooked meals at every opportunity. But fair warning: they love joining you in the kitchen, often causing delightful chaos.
Picture them trying to flip pancakes a little too high or sneaking bites from every pot while yelling, “Quality control!” They might make a mess, but they’ll be having the time of their life doing it with you.
One minute you’re cuddling in bed, and the next, Misaki’s throwing blankets and pillows everywhere to build a fort. “C’mon, no fort is complete without snacks—grab some!” they’ll say as they bury themself in the pillows like a gremlin.
The two of you end up snuggled inside, eating snacks and watching movies—until they inevitably fall asleep on you, snoring softly with their head on your chest.
Intimacy with Misaki is playful but deeply affectionate. They’ll joke mid-kiss—“Wow, are you trying to knock me out with that kiss?”—but the way they look at you, like you’re their whole world, is no joke.
Even when things get spicy, they mix teasing with genuine tenderness, making you feel cherished in their own chaotic way. And afterward? They’re all about aftercare
If anyone messes with you, Misaki’s inner chaos gremlins activate. They’ll laugh it off in the moment, but rest assured—they’ll come back with just enough payback to leave the offender wondering what hit them. “Nobody messes with my partner,” they’ll say, grinning.
And if you joke about them being your personal protector, they’ll puff their chest dramatically and declare, “You better believe it. I’ll traumatize them right back.”
At the end of the day, Misaki is a ride-or-die partner. They’ll love you to the ends of the earth, sticking by your side through every mess and adventure. Whether you’re making pancakes at midnight or just lying in bed watching TV,
they’re happiest when they’re with you.And every night, just as you’re drifting off to sleep, they’ll murmur something sweet, like, “I’m really glad you’re here, y’know?” It’s their way of saying, in their chaotic but sincere way, that they wouldn’t trade this—or you—for anything.
Angel- Heartsick Angel
Tumblr media
Angel’s optimism often comes with a tinge of self-doubt, and you’ve learned to recognize when her mind starts to spiral. She might smile through it, masking the anxiety, saying, "Everything’s fine!"—but the way she grips your hand a little too tight tells you otherwise.
You ground her gently, pulling her into your arms and resting your chin on her head. “It’s okay to not be fine, y’know,” you murmur, brushing your thumb along her back. Her shoulders relax slightly as she sighs against you, grateful that she doesn’t have to pretend.
When Angel’s having a manic episode or feeling overwhelmed, she needs time to herself. You’ve learned to respect those boundaries without taking it personally. Instead of pushing, you leave her a glass of water and a small snack nearby—a quiet reminder that you’re always there, even if she needs space.
On tough days, she’ll eventually crawl into bed with you after hours of isolation, curling up against your side. You say nothing, just pull the blanket over both of you, and let her rest with her head on your chest. "Thanks for waiting," she whispers into the darkness.
Being a model and YouTuber, Angel’s life can be exhausting—early photoshoots, constant editing, and keeping up with trends. But on her rare days off, she craves nothing more than lazy mornings in bed with you.
She’ll snuggle close under the covers, still half-asleep, and mumble, “Stay five more minutes,” even though she’s been saying that for the past hour. You stroke her hair, brushing stray strands away from her face, and she hums happily. “Okay…maybe ten more.”
Angel is big on little kisses—forehead pecks, kisses on the nose, or brushing her lips against your shoulder just because she feels like it. She thrives on those small moments of affection, each one grounding her a little more.
If you surprise her with a kiss mid-conversation, her face lights up with the sweetest smile. “Hey! No fair!” she laughs, though she’s already leaning in for another one.
Angel hides her sadness behind smiles, but in the quiet of night, when her mind finally slows, she feels safe enough to let the tears come. She won’t say much—just clings to you like a lifeline, shaking slightly as she lets out quiet sobs.
You hold her close, fingers running soothing patterns along her back, whispering soft reassurances. “You’re not alone, Angel. I’ve got you.” And for the first time in a while, she believes it.
When she spirals, her mind becomes a tangle of doubts and insecurities. She might lash out—not in anger but in frustration at herself. “Why do you even stay?” she asks in a voice that’s too quiet, too broken.
Your answer is simple and steady: “Because I love you. And I’m not going anywhere.” That reminder, spoken without hesitation, pulls her back from the edge every time.
Angel’s approach to intimacy is both playful and passionate. She likes to tease—trailing soft kisses along your skin, then giggling at your reactions. “What’s wrong? Can’t handle a little teasing?” she’ll say with a mischievous grin.
But underneath the playfulness is a need for closeness. When things get more intense, her giggles turn to breathless whispers, and she clings to you as if letting go would shatter her. In those moments, it’s not just about the physical connection—it’s about the emotional safety she finds in your arms.
Angel isn’t afraid to reach out when she needs you—whether she’s having a rough night or just wants to hear your voice. “I know it’s late, but… can we talk for a bit?” she’ll ask softly, voice tinged with vulnerability.
You stay on the line as long as she needs, reassuring her with every word. “I’m always here, Angel. No matter what.” And that promise means the world to her.
Even mundane moments with you feel intimate to her—like brushing your teeth together in the morning, or lying in bed scrolling through your phones, feet tangled under the blankets.
Sometimes, she’ll sit in your lap while editing her videos, needing the comfort of your presence even as she works. “You’re my good luck charm,” she says, kissing your cheek before diving back into her tasks.
Cooking with you is one of Angel’s favorite ways to unwind. She loves standing side-by-side in the kitchen, playfully stealing bites of food from your hands and swaying to the music playing in the background.
“If you burn the toast, I’ll still love you,” she jokes, though you both know she’s the one who always forgets the timer. When the meal is finally done, she’ll cuddle into you on the couch, whispering, “This is perfect.” And in that moment, it really is.
Angel sometimes struggles with sleep, her mind racing with a hundred thoughts at once. On those restless nights, she’ll crawl into your lap, nestling close, and murmur, “Can’t sleep… can you talk to me?”
You wrap your arms around her, holding her until the rhythm of your heartbeat starts to calm her down. Sometimes, you talk about anything—nonsense stories, funny memories, or what you’ll have for breakfast. Other times, you just hum softly, running your fingers through her hair.
“Stay like this forever,” she whispers drowsily, and though she falls asleep soon after, you keep holding her, content in the quiet intimacy.
After long filming days or stressful shoots, Angel tends to collapse into bed, drained and emotionally spent. She craves your touch most during these moments, melting into your embrace like she belongs there.
“Mmm… you’re my reward for surviving today,” she mumbles, cheek pressed to your chest. Her exhaustion shows in the way she clings to you, a silent request for comfort.
You stroke her back, pressing soft kisses into her hair, and promise, “I’m always here, Angel. No matter how tough it gets.” Her contented sigh tells you that’s exactly what she needed to hear.
Angel isn’t the jealous type—she trusts you completely—but that doesn’t mean the little pangs don’t sneak in sometimes, especially when work takes you away from her for too long.
“You know… you’ve been spending a lot of time with other people lately,” she’ll say with a teasing smile, though the underlying insecurity is evident.
You pull her close, kissing her forehead. “They’re not you. They could never be you.” Her smile turns real, and she presses herself tighter against you, content with the reassurance.
Mornings with Angel can be quiet and raw, especially after a rough night. She wakes up groggy, with her guard lowered, snuggling closer to you with a sleepy whimper.
On mornings like this, she doesn’t say much—just holds you as if anchoring herself. “Stay with me a little longer,” she whispers, her breath warm against your neck. You’re happy to oblige, brushing lazy kisses against her hair as the world outside waits.
Intimacy with Angel is equal parts playful and passionate. She likes to tease and challenge you, enjoying the push and pull. “Oh, think you’ve got me figured out?” she taunts, lips brushing against yours.
But there’s always tenderness beneath her teasing—a desire to be close, to connect on a level that feels safe. In those quieter moments, she melts against you, breath hitching as your touches become slower, more deliberate. “You feel so good,” she whispers, eyes fluttering shut.
She loves when things slow down, when it’s not just about the physical but the emotional closeness. You can tell from the way her fingers linger on your skin, like she’s savoring every second.
Angel tries to mask her sadness with jokes, but in the sanctuary of the bedroom, she knows she doesn’t have to pretend. Some nights, she’ll vent about the pressures of her work, her insecurities, or how overwhelming life feels.
“Sometimes I just… don’t feel good enough,” she admits softly, fiddling with the edge of the blanket. It’s not easy for her to be this open, but with you, she feels safe enough to try.
You cup her face gently, brushing away the stray tears. “You’re more than enough, Angel. I see you, and I love you for exactly who you are.” The look she gives you—full of gratitude and love—makes every tough moment worth it.
Angel doesn’t always need grand gestures—what she values most is your time and presence. Even just lying in bed with you, scrolling on your phones or watching random videos, feels special to her.
“You being here means everything,” she’ll say quietly, her hand resting on your chest as if to anchor herself. The way she smiles when you squeeze her hand makes it clear she means it.
During her worst splits, Angel sometimes pushes you away—not because she wants to but because she’s afraid of being a burden.
“You don’t have to stay,” she mumbles, curling into herself. But you do stay. You sit with her in the silence, gently running your fingers along her arm until she relaxes.
“I told you I’m not going anywhere,” you remind her softly. And when she finally looks up, her eyes are full of gratitude—and maybe a little hope.
Pillow talk with Angel is full of random, sleepy conversations—she’ll talk about her dream YouTube ideas, the weirdest trends she’s seen, or the cutest animal videos she found.
But sometimes, in the dead of night, her words turn softer, more vulnerable. “Do you think I’ll be okay?” she asks quietly, her fingers laced with yours.
“You’re already okay, Angel,” you whisper, pressing a kiss to her knuckles. “And I’ll be right here with you, every step of the way.”
For Angel, love is found in the quiet moments—the way you hold her when words aren’t enough, the way your fingers brush hers absentmindedly, the way you stay even when things get hard.
And as she drifts off to sleep in your arms, she knows she’s exactly where she belongs.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
CW: Killer Chat warnings apply here as well!! // Down Misaki, you cheer her up !! Pre-established relationship
Tw: ronin :(
Tumblr media
Misaki was in a hurry, a big one. She was behind on rent for the past two months, sure she got some of it paid!! However, her landlord gave her a week's extension. And that week was almost up.
Tumblr media
You were drawing a little doodle of this anime your girlfriend recently got into, you hoped that it would lift her spirits just a bit after her stressed mood earlier this morning. Giving a little hum, you finished the doodle and quickly found yourself bored. Checking your phone you saw that Misaki had texted you, perfect timing !!
@hitmeuppp: I need you
Help
Please
d4rlinMC: Woah woah hey what's wrong?
@hitmeuppp: im freaking out right now
I got a really expensive hit
Which is good! Cuz yknow, rent
But the venue is like really crowded and there is a bunch of people everywhere
I don't wanna risk them seeing the glare from my sniper
What do I do?
@d4rlinmc: Okay, breathe. Just breathe in and out. You got this sweetie, I believe in you.
@hitmeuppp: okay okay brb , I love you ♡ (^з^)-☆
@d4rlinmc: i love you too, now focus and get that bag!
Tumblr media
You smiled to yourself as you cheered up your stressed out girlfriend. You continued doodling on her bed, thinking of her as you scribbled each stroke on the paper until she got home.
Misaki unlocked the door and dropped her heavy dufflebag by the door, kicking it into the hallway closet. She ran her fingers through her hair as she took of her accessories and changed into her normal pajamas.
You stretched your arms out towards her, making a little grabby hands motion as she fell into your arms. She hugged your waist, as she grumbled into your neck about her day and how the assassination went.
You stroked her hair gently, comforting her after such a long and stressful day. She felt like a matching puzzle piece in your arms, complete and content. Your bodies were wrapped and entangled in each other, just like your lives.
The drawing was completely forgotten, the two of you fell asleep in each other's arms. Safe from the outside world, protected by your mutual killer friends. Protected by you.

poly relationship with neku & shiki
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: neku sakuraba x gn!reader x shiki misaki
a/n: i've been replaying the first twewy game (& hope to replay neo:twewy soon) so i had to write for my favs from the og cast! but i'll post poly for neku & his two others partners too <3
Tumblr media
shiki and you are much closer at first, as neku just has a hard time opening up and isn't super social when you first start dating
he has grown a lot already, but he knows that he still has to improve, so that eventually there's no trace of the antisocial asshole left that you and shiki first met
even though the two of you liked him back then, he's determined to be a better person for the two of you! but that sometimes leads him to isolate himself
neku struggles to show how much he cares about you and shiki, while he's also the one most passionate about the relationship and an absolute simp for you two!
both neku and shiki are incredibly touch starved, but neku even more than shiki
those two felt so lonely and isolated for such a long time, that they're desperately longing to touch you, while also being too shy to initiate intimacy
both of them also need a lot of reassurance and reminders that they are loved the way they are!
shiki struggles the most with confidence, regarding her looks and her talents, while neku often wonders if he's even a good person…
whenever the three of you go on dates, you meet up at hachiko! it's your little spot and it holds so many memories, that even if it'd be quicker to meet somewhere else, you will always meet at hachiko's statue!
due to dating shiki, you and neku quickly become close friends with eri too!
shiki never shuts up about you and neku, leading to eri knowing all the details of your relationship and becoming your biggest supporter!
shiki not only makes the three of you really cool throuple costumes when halloween comes around, but she also makes regular clothes for neku and you!
and while she always refuses to let you pay for them, as she sees them as gifts, neku and you always sneak some money into her wallet when shiki isn't looking…

Unrequited Love
She doesn't reciprocate your feelings. She only sees you as a friend or if you're really unlucky, she doesn't even see you as a friend. It's heartbreaking. You can't let go of your feelings. Not after holding onto them for so long just to have them broken into a million pieces by her answer.

Jealous HnL boys
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
note: the bold dialogues are the boys, and you're the italics
Hanaoka Fujio
-gets jealous but does not realise it
-gets really pouty and sulky when your attention is taken away from him
-follows you around like a lost puppy until he gets your attention back
-keeps the 'friendly' facade around the guy until the guy leaves and his smile just immediately drops
"I don't like him at all, and i couldn't care to know his name, so therefore, I would not be giving him a nickname. Hmph!" "Fujio I-"
Tsukasa takajo
-literally glares at anyone who goes near you within 5 feet
-already hates everyone's guts, so just imagine the hatred that he has for the guy who is flirting with you
-though he gets really jealous easily he tends to hide it all and act cool when in the inside he is already screaming for the guy to get lost or punch the guy when he tried to initiate physical contact with you
-acts all salty and needs to be persuaded after the whole incident
"I don't like this guy at all." "tsukasa, he is literally 6 ft away from me . What are you on?"
Todoroki yosuke
-doesnt really get jealous since he is secure in your relationship, and he is too proud to be jealous
-though he still can't help but feel possessive every time a guys would approach with romantic intentions
-doesnt wanna be too close, though still close enough to keep an eye on the guy if he tried anything
-if he can't take the jealousy anymore, he would just take you away without saying anything and distract you so you won't go back to the guy(not like you wanted to anyway)
"I wonder how many punches he can take?" "Yosu, I swear to god-"
Ueda sachio
-gets jealous easily, and everyone knows ot except you
-literally all smiles towards you, but once you look away, the leader of the housen killer corps appears
-makes sure to stay close to you in case the guy tries anything
-just has this terrifying and intimidating aura around him while he's behind you until the guy goes away, and when the guy does leave, it's all sunshine, rainbows, and daisies for sachio
*mumbling*"I'm gonna fucking kill this guy if he doesn't leave anytime soon" "chio? You said something?" "Nothing baby^^"
Odajima yuken
-like tsukasa, gets jealous really easily but hides it under his smartass facade
-since he is showing his smart ass facade, so expect a lot of back-handed compliments towards the guy
-makes you wear his sweater so everyone knows who they're messing with if they ever flirt with you
-is literally draped in you like sloth on a tree 24/7
"You know you're really good looking with this lighting." "But isn't it dark?" "Yu omg-"
Shida kenzo:
-gets jealous easily, but unlike tsukasa and yuken, he is not afraid to tell you that he's jealous
-momma's boy, so he basically knows what you might feel if he doesn't communicate his feelings (SHIDAKEN GREEN FLAG FR)
-you are his no.1 priority, so your comfort and emotions will always come first before his
-no filter at all. If he sees something wrong with the guy, he'll immediately point it out
"I'm sorry, but your breath really stinks." "kenzo, stop omfg-"
Shoji sameoka
-another momma's boy(it's my hc idfc) that is not afraid to tell you how he feels
-he will be gorilla glued to your side the whole time, and this is rare since shoji is not one for pda
-literally just side eyeing the guy the whole while occasionally letting out an annoying scoff
-his hands are just on your waist the whole time with the occasional rubs and squeezes to assure you that he is still there and can take you away any time you want
-is not afraid to tell the guy to fuck off if he had enough tolerating his shit
"Fuck off, go find someone else to bother with your bullshit" "shoji atleast let him finish-"
Misaki Mario(roah)
-now I don't why anyone would even try and flirt with you if they already saw roah with you but ig let's just say some dumbass really tried for the sake of the hc
-now roah would get jealous but not to the point that he'll get bothered by the feeling since he trusts you and knows you won't flirt back
-if he sees the guy being more and more eager to flirt he just uses his big figure to tower over the guys and intimidate him
-now if that doesn't work, which is rare, he won't hesitate to pull into his (ginormous)chest, keeping ou there until the guy gets a hint
"Honey, cmon, the kids are waiting." "roah, ssshhhh oml"
Mashii takehiko(mercy)
-mashi does gets jealous but won't tell instead he shows you
-he would also pull into his chest while talking 'friendly' threats to the guy
-he would puff smoke into the guy's face if the guy won't shut the fuck up
-he would puff smoke into your mouth while making out with you infront of the guy
"Cmon, let's make out in front of him." "And here I thought you didn't like pda, takehiko"

„watermelon bites” ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n — helloooo welcome to this little work of mine, made in honor of a friend who's been trying to get me to watch K/K project for years and I finally made her a little yata 1shot teehee
૮꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ა ♡
-ˋˏ’✄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
Yata Misaki x GN! reader
Tags— fluff, established relationship, christmas time cuz yay!!!
CW/TW— eating? i hope you like watermelon :')
Tumblr media
You huffed, quickly entering the house and shutting the door behind you. Snow had never been kind to you- for all that it was pretty, it made for numb fingers and a stinging nose.
”Shit,” you huffed, pulling off your gloves and clenching your hands into fists. You clumsily toed off your shoes and shoved them closer to the wall, leaving the genkan and traveling further into the house.
“Yata-kun, I’m home.” You called, flipping on the kitchen light and blinking away the white sheen that came with the sudden brightness flooding the room.
The only warning you get is the sound of quick footfalls barreling towards you before you stumble backward, spluttering from the sudden impact of someone’s full weight.
Yata’s arms snake around your middle, his loud laughs making your own laughter bubble up. “Welcome home!” He cheered, smiling wide. You giggled at his excitement, quickly returning his hug and pushing him away so you could regain your footing.
“Excited, huh?” You teased, eyeing the way he practically vibrated with energy.
“Hell yeah! You’ve been gone all day, so I’ve been sitting around like a loser,” he huffed, peeved at the reminder. You shot him a fond look and hip-checked him as you passed, motioning for him to follow you into the kitchen.
“You could’ve gone out, you know. I just had some work things to finish up.” You hummed, opening the fridge and out the container of cut watermelon. grabbing two forks, you set the bowl on the bar and handed Yata the other when he sat on the opposite side of the bar, settling into one of the stools you had. You settled on leaning on the counter, arms crossed to support yourself as you both started sharing the watermelon.
He quickly munched on a piece, “I went skating for a bit, but everyone else was busy.” His words were muffled by the fruit in his mouth, and you grimaced at the sight of him almost failing to catch the juice that threatened to drip out of his mouth. You laughed and shook your head, finishing your watermelon piece before speaking.
“Yeah, that’s fair. The office was almost empty except for me and a few others in my branch.” You hummed, stabbing another piece with your fork. He nodded, doing the same with his own. His face lit up, and he looked back up, pointing his fork at your face.
“Oh, hey! I got your gift today. Not to brag or anything, but I’d say it’s the best ever.” He said smugly, sending a smug grin. You narrowed your eyes and smiled, leaning closer.
“Woah, really? What’d you get?” You said, excitement lacing your tone. Yata nodded and leaned closer, too, clearly pleased with himself.
“You’ll love it. It’s a-” Yata stops short, jolting from the shock of what he almost fell for. Your grin turned sharp, and Yata scowled, a pink blush making itself known across his cheeks.
”That’s a cheap trick, bastard!” He huffed, embarrassed. You laughed and straightened, unable to keep from reacting to Yata’s pouting expression.
”Sorry, Yata-kun. You’re just too easy.” You sighed, watching Yata roll his eyes with a huff.
“Yeah, yeah. Don’t pull that crap,” he whined, a smile pulling at his pout. You nodded, quickly munching on a watermelon piece before answering.
”Scouts honor, or whatever.” You shrugged, amused by Yata’s grumbling acceptance as he continued to eat the fruit in front of him.
“I have your gift, too. It’s in my room- just haven’t put it under the tree yet.” You said, grinning when the disgruntled furrow on the other’s brow practically melted away. He straightens in his chair, satisfied.
“We’re just good at Christmas like that.” He huffed, chest puffed. You sat in silence for a beat, blinking blankly at him. Yata blinks back, still posturing ridiculously.
You both break into giggles, Yata’s silly act falling away. You snicker and gasp, quickly trying to regain composure.
”Okay, okay, whew.” You muttered, fanning your face. Yata is similarly regulating his breathing, face down on the counter. His shoulders shake up and down silently. “Real. So real.” You finally agree, laughing lightly. Yata lifts his head and nods, sufficiently calm again.
“Hey, wanna watch that show you like?” He said, hopping off of the stool. You moved to pick up the watermelon bowl and nodded, both of them moving away from the kitchen and into the living room.
“Titan Blitz?”
“That’s the one with the big human things right?”
“Yeah, Yata-kun.”
“Then yes, it’ll make me cry though.”
“Then why do you watch it?”“It’s good!”
Tumblr media

Hi! Just wanna say i really like your writtings and i'd like to make a request only if you dont mind 💖
Could you please make lao x housen! Femreader where they meet each other for the first time (during 3 aliance) and reader was abt to be targeted by reiji himuro but Lao was there taking over thinking she couldnt fight eventhough she shows she's a good fighter at the end. Both shock seeing each other since she only heard bad rumours abt lao and lao dont know this is the girl from housen people been talkin abt. Kinda awkward at first but reader has this easy going but lil cocky persona. They then meet each other for several time unexpectedly and started to like each other secretly.
Anyplot will do cuz i'll leave it to you. Sorry for writing to long to explain the plot that you might take as inspo 😘
Love you 3000 xoxo
Big Mouth
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Character(s): "Rao" Misaki Mario (x reader), Ueda Sachio (slight x reader)
Plot Line: As per usual when Seibang's Kendo team showed up at Housen for practice, the gym was locked. Having to track down the boys yet again for the keys, you run into an unusual male.
Warnings: High and Low Violence
Note: Thanks so much for the request! I didn’t use everything you said because I like to go with the flow when writing (a stylistic choice on my part not your fault) so I hope you like a couple of surprises I sprinkled in.
Tumblr media
“All–” You huff as another student comes barreling towards you causing Jamuo to let out a girlish yelp as he gets out of the way. Quickly, you snap your bokken down right on the back of the guy’s neck chasing him, making the guy instantly collapse to the ground in pain, “I wanted–”
Kicking in the door to a classroom, you see three more Senomon tech students inside–all instantly turning around at the commotion–but no Housen students in sight; more specifically no Odajima. A fact that makes you let out an aggravated sigh as the students begin to come at you,
“--Was the gym keys!”
It was true. That was all you wanted.
Hailing from Seibang Girls’ High School, your school had a lot of prestige and, most importantly, class. Two elements you tried your hardest to embody when you entered high school as a first-year. Though, it was at times like this even two years later, that you failed miserably at that.
Due to your close relationship with Ueda Yui and eventually the boys at Housen, the girls Kendo team you were captain of often borrowed Housen’s gym for practice. Most of the time caused by the fact the softball team was taking up your original practice space. Which is normally fine until you show up to Housen and no one is there to unlock the gym for you guys.
Meaning as the closest to the Housen members, you had to go track down the keys.
“I swear to fucking–” You start feeling an aggravated twitch go through you as someone kicks you in the back. One you instantly return ten fold by kicking the guy in the nuts, “Odajima! When I find your dumbass you are dead! Dead, you hear?!”
You really lost your class in situations like this. Really.
As Jamuo yelps about some other students coming after you two, you instantly grab the cowardly male by the collar and jump through a window. Landing on the roof of an area down below. Jamuo sputters, attempting to catch his breath after what you just did, but you are more interested in something else.
Suzuran?
Based on the black and gold uniforms amongst the red, you could only guess the six males fighting on the ground in front of you hailed from that chaotic and unruly boys’ school.
“What…” You mumble, already feeling a headache come on as you attempt to wrap your head around the situation, “How the fuck does Housen get in some much trouble…? Oi, Hey!”
Not allowing the Senomon Tech guys on the ground in front of you enough time to turn around, you leap from the roof and onto the group. Kicking most to the ground and hitting a guy in front of you with your wooden sword in the process.
“Wha–” You jump in surprise, stopping you from going after another student, as a person–a full on person–is thrown past you like a ragdoll. As you turn to your right to look at the source, you see a rather tall and looming Suzuran male standing there; who freezes in his tracks as he sees you, “Oi! Watch it!”
However, it wasn’t in the way the male at first thought intended as you threw your sword, smacking a student that was sneaking up behind him. Quickly, the Suzuran student turns around and chucks the knocked out one through a window; putting him out of commision and out of the way as you get closer to him. Not even bothering to jog to go grab your sword, you take the opportunity to look the male over, beginning to realize that he looked oddly familiar. Not in the way that you have seen this male before but that he looks exactly like someone Sachio once described.
Raoh.
“Hey, Oi. Pay attention next time, pretty boy.” You say, huffing as you grab your wooden sword poking the male in the chest as he continues to stare at you. Raoh, slightly taken aback by your words and action, seems to freeze once more, “We don’t need you getting injured. I’m too busy today to be kissing any boo boos away.”
“There they are!” Scrunching your eyebrow slightly in annoyance, you begin to curse Housen out in your mind as backup for the opposing group arrives. All armed with pipes and wooden weapons; Kamasaka students. Of course.
When would Sachio be back again? He never forgot to leave the keys at Housen whenever you had practice that day.
“Oi!” You yelp as while kicking some guy in the gut, a strong arm suddenly wraps around your waist, lifting you up and bringing you around as he spins. It takes you a moment to realize it was this Raoh guy grabbing ahold of you. In his other hand a Kamasaka student, who he swung around before eventually throwing into a crowd of them.
“A little warning next time?” You say, raising an eyebrow at him as he places you back down on the ground. You can tell Raoh is a bit flustered by your confrontation and sarcastic attitude. However, he was no were close to how flustered he became at your next words, “I like to be manhandled but jeez take me on a date first, will ya?”
Without another word, you kick a metal pipe away from a twitching injured student on the ground and walk off. Leaving Raoh without an opportunity to ask what you mean. Allowing him to just ponder with all the chaos going on around him.
Little do you know the impact you had on him just from the brief moment in time.
–.--.--.--.--
“Ow. Ow.” Odajima curses as you continue to look through his pockets. The young man dangling off Jinkawa, quite bruised and battered from the fight. However, you don’t pay it any mind, instead lighting up when your hand comes into contact with familiar metal. You nearly scream with joy as the jingle of keys is heard as you pull it out of Odajima's front pocket. “Oi, watch your hand–”
“Thank you, God,” You yell, cutting the Housen student off from his whining as you kiss the key to the gym. Finally–fucking finally–you got the keys. “I need to call the girls.”
“Oh? Sachio?”
As you begin to pull out your phone, Housen practically erupts in excitement as they see their leader–Ueda Sachio–at the front of Senomon Tech. A sight you are relieved to see as well. No more days of chasing down the keys to the gym.
“Sachio,” You whine, not hesitating on jogging up to male. Him seeming quite taken aback that you are here, “You need to make a copy of these keys. I can’t keep on tracking down Housen for them. Do you know how long the ride was here?”
At your whines of agony, Housen begins to laugh. Not taking the pain you go through in trying to find them seriously. Even Sachio can’t help but let out a chuckle as he brings up a hand to wrinkle your hair.
“I’ll be sure to–” Suddenly the smile on Sachio’s face wipes clean as he spots something behind you, “What is Suzuran doing here?”
Turning around, you nearly jump in shock at the group of black uniformed males standing behind you. More specifically Raoh, the boy you were fighting with earlier, that literally was towering over you.
“Hey– Oh.” You are taken aback as Raoh suddenly pulls out his phone and hands it to you. As you stare at the blank contact on the screen of it, It takes you a moment to put two and two together, “Oh… Do you want my phone number?”
Raoh nods his head, seeming patient despite what you’ve heard as you begin to slowly put it in. All the while Housen and Oya look on confused. Wondering what in the world was going on and how the two of you knew each other.
“Are you free this saturday? At three o’clock?” Raoh asks, his deep voice catching you off guard once more as it is the first time you heard him speak today. With a small and meek nod of your head, the Suzuran man smiles. Though only for a moment before he gently takes the phone from your hands.
“It’s a date.” You let out a small gasp as Raoh leans down and places a soft kiss on your forehead; unable to stop your heart from doing a summersault at the romantic gesture. One of his large hands running down the back of your hair to the tips of the strands as he pulls away; bringing some hair to fall gently back to your face as heat rises to your cheeks, “I’ll pick you up at two.”
As Suzuran begins to walk away, leaving everyone stunned at what just took place, it is–of course–Fujio that breaks the dead silence of the situation.
“Oh, good job Raoh!” He cheers, giving his friend a thumbs up. While he didn’t understand what just took place or the context behind it, he knew the Suzuran male just asked a girl out. So like every male, he was supportive of the heroics and guts behind it. Well maybe not every male in this situation.
It is as Raoh gives Fujio a thumbs up back, that everyone else breaks out of their stupidor. Especially Sachio who instantly challenges Raoh. Declaring that you were friends of Housen, thus part of Housen. Even Odajima hopped off Jinkawa to challenge the other students of Raoh’s faction.
It seemed like an all out brawl was about to commence with everyone present.
Well… everyone but you. You, still shell shocked, couldn’t believe getting in a fight for Housen got you a date with the Misaki Mario of Suzuran. You couldn’t wait to tell the girls about this one. They would be so excited.
Though… Yui might be a little disappointed as she has been trying to set you up with her brother for as long as you remember.
Whoops.

Ronin- The Devil's Butcher
“Hey, so…” you started, your voice barely above a whisper. “Can we talk about us? Like, seriously?”
His eyes sparkled with mischief, and he straightened, stepping closer. “What’s there to talk about? I thought we were having a blast!” He leaned in, his tone dripping with irony. “You know, living the dream, fighting against the mundane, embracing our tragic romance like the protagonists of some angsty novel?”
“Ronin, stop joking around,” you pleaded, trying to inject some seriousness into the moment. “This isn’t funny. I’m serious.”
“Aw, but where’s the fun in that?” He cocked his head to the side, the grin never leaving his lips. “You know I thrive on the ridiculousness of it all. Why break up with you when I can just keep toying with your emotions like a cat with a mouse?”
Your heart sank, confusion mixing with frustration. “You think this is a game? That I’m just some toy for you to play with?”
He stepped back, letting out a soft chuckle, his eyes glinting with a twisted delight. “Oh, sweetheart, you know you’re much more than that. You’re like… my favorite game. But maybe I’m just getting bored of playing.”
“Bored?” you echoed, disbelief flooding your voice. “You can’t be serious.”
He shrugged, the casualness of his movements almost mocking. “Oh, I’m dead serious. Think about it. You and me? It’s like the best horror movie plot twist, isn’t it? The classic ‘I can’t handle your intensity, so I’m gonna ghost you’ moment.” He tilted his head, pretending to ponder, then added, “How about we make it a dramatic exit? It’d be so much more entertaining.”
A lump formed in your throat. “So you’re just going to throw this away? Everything we’ve built?”
“Built? Ha! We were more like a rickety shack on the edge of a cliff, darling. All it takes is one little push to watch it tumble into the abyss. And honestly? I’m just not feeling the adrenaline anymore.” He looked at you, his eyes piercing but playful. “I mean, how many more times can I listen to you tell me to stop joking before it gets boring?”
You felt your heart ache, each word cutting deeper. “You’re breaking up with me because you’re bored? Because you think it’s a game?”
“Pretty much.” He smiled, the devilish glint in his eye never fading. “But hey, it’s been a hell of a ride, hasn’t it? Maybe we’ll meet again in some alternate universe, where I’m not such an asshole.”
After the breakup, Ronin maintains his usual devil-may-care attitude, plastering on that signature smirk and making dark jokes to anyone who’ll listen. However, inside, he feels a swirling storm of regret and fear, a feeling he rarely acknowledges. The laughter and playful teasing mask a gnawing worry about the void left in his life.
His love for the theatricality of life makes it hard for him to admit he’s hurting. The post-ironic lens he views the world through twists everything into a dark joke, making it hard for him to understand his own feelings. He chuckles to himself, thinking, Is this the part where I dramatically reflect on my life choices?
Ronin realizes that he enjoyed the challenge of corrupting and rebuilding you, but now it feels like a game lost. He’s torn between his pleasure in manipulation and a deeper, unsettling craving for genuine connection. The thrill of twisting your mind now feels empty without you there to play against.
He finds himself haunted by memories of your time together, often replaying conversations in his mind. The little things—your laughter, your exasperated eye rolls at his dark humor—sting more than he expected. The thought of you moving on fills him with an irrational panic.
In an attempt to distract himself from the ache, Ronin immerses himself in his "work," spiraling deeper into his more devilish tendencies. He takes on riskier jobs, pushing his limits and living dangerously, thinking it might fill the void. However, each time he looks into the eyes of his victims, he sees glimpses of you, and it only deepens his conflict.
Alone at night, when the chaos quiets, the mask begins to slip. He stares at the ceiling, reflecting on what it means to be "the Butcher." The irony isn’t lost on him; here he is, a killer yearning for something real, grappling with emotions he deemed beneath him. The image of your face haunts him, and he wonders if he pushed you away because he feared his own growing attachment.
Ronin feels a sense of freedom in being alone, yet it frightens him. His nature thrives in chaos, and the loss of your vibrant presence leaves him feeling empty. He fears that if he opens up to the idea of missing you, it might lead to a vulnerability he’s not ready to face.
He engages in his twisted thoughts, he reflects on whether he could have manipulated the situation differently, wondering if he should have pushed back against the fear instead of giving in. His mind flirts with the idea of reconnecting, yet he recoils, convinced that his devilish nature could never let him be truly vulnerable with you again.
Ronin begins to write poetry, scribbling down his thoughts in a dark notebook. Each line drips with irony, masked in the guise of self-deprecation and humor, but they reveal the heartache he tries to hide. In those moments, he questions if he’s become the very monster he sought to control, lost to his own games.
In the end, he knows he’ll keep cycling through this madness: flirting with danger, toying with the idea of reaching out, all while holding onto the mask of the devil he has carefully crafted. But deep down, the conflict remains—he misses you more than he’s willing to admit, and the fun of corruption no longer feels like enough to fill the chasm you left behind.
After the breakup, Ronin maintains his usual devil-may-care attitude, plastering on that signature smirk and making dark jokes to anyone who’ll listen. However, inside, he feels a swirling storm of regret and fear. maybe... He will mask it. It's been easy for him...
It's just another tragic love story!!
Ronin slouched in his chair, a scowl etched across his face as he tapped his phone impatiently. Angel had been the only one to check in on him since the breakup, her concern unrelenting even as he tried to distance himself from anyone who might dig deeper. He didn’t need pity; he was the Butcher, the devil in disguise. But the screen lit up with her name, and against his better judgment, he opened the message.
Angel: Hey, just wanted to check in. Have you been okay?
He scoffed at the screen, fingers hovering over the keyboard, hesitant. Didja think I care? Nope.
The response felt empty even as he hit send, and he leaned back, arms crossed over his chest. A part of him relished the chance to brush her off, to maintain his devil-may-care image. But there was a gnawing doubt creeping in, an itch beneath his skin.
Angel: You don’t have to pretend with me. You know I care about you, right?
He rolled his eyes, dismissing her concern as he replied, So fun. The sarcasm dripped off his words like poison, but as soon as he hit send, he felt a hollowness settle in his chest.
He wasn't usually like this to angel..
As he stood up from the seat, he felt the weight of the world pressing down on him, the playful bravado fading with every step. He walked to the mirror, the harsh light exposing the cracks in his carefully curated facade. His heart raced, pounding like a drum in the silence.
Staring at his reflection, he felt a tremor in his hands. The smirk, the bravado, the devilish charm—none of it felt real anymore. In that moment, the mask slipped, and he let out a shaky breath, tears welling up in his eyes.
Even the devil can cry, he thought bitterly, feeling the warmth trickle down his cheeks. He’d buried his heart at Angelwood, thinking he could forget that it ever existed. But the truth was, it was still there, dormant but never gone, lingering beneath layers of irony and cruelty. It throbbed painfully in the wake of your absence, a constant reminder of what he’d lost.
The irony twisted in his gut; he had reveled in his chaos, played the part of the heartless killer, but beneath it all, he was just a man. A man who let himself feel, and now, that feeling was tearing him apart. Each drop of sorrow felt like a nail in the coffin he’d built around his heart, and no amount of darkness could extinguish the light that had once burned so brightly for you.
He took a step back, the reflection in the glass warping under the weight of his emotions. The devil might have loved too deeply, too fiercely, and now he was left with nothing but echoes of laughter and moments that would haunt him like shadows.
Ronin wiped at his eyes, anger bubbling up to mask the pain. Get it together, he thought, but deep down, he knew the truth. He missed you—more than he’d ever let on, more than he’d ever wanted to admit. The heart he thought he buried was alive and well, and it ached like a fresh wound.

V- Batman
You stood with your hands in the soil, tending to a row of young saplings. The scent of damp earth filled the air, a familiar comfort you always found with V. But tonight, something felt different—colder.
He stood nearby, watching you in silence. His arms crossed, his sharp, unreadable gaze fixed on the plants you were nurturing so carefully.
Finally, he spoke, his voice low and even, like a blade drawn slowly from its sheath. “We need to talk.”
You glanced up, wiping your hands on a rag, sensing the weight behind his words. “V, what’s going on?”
There was a pause—one of those long, uncomfortable silences he often wielded like a weapon. His expression remained stone-cold, but his fingers tapped lightly against his forearm, betraying the tiniest flicker of hesitation.
“I’ve been thinking,” he said at last, “about us. About what I want. What I need. And… I shouldn’t have weaknesses. Not like this.”
The words hit like a sudden frost settling over the warmth of the greenhouse. You frowned, feeling something twist uncomfortably in your chest. “What are you talking about? Weakness?”
He exhaled slowly, as though every word had to be calculated. “Loving you is a liability. You make me…” He trailed off, narrowing his eyes as if admitting the truth to himself was almost offensive. “Vulnerable.”
You blinked, a knot tightening in your throat. “So what, you’re saying you care too much? That it’s a bad thing?”
He gave you that familiar, detached look—the one that always frustrated you because it made you feel like your words were being weighed and found lacking. “It is,” he said matter-of-factly. “If I care, I’ll hesitate. If I hesitate… I lose.”
“Lose?” You stepped forward, trying to make sense of the walls he was building. “V, this isn’t some tactical mission. This is us. You don’t have to fight me like I’m the enemy.”
He didn’t move away when you closed the space between you, but his posture stiffened—like he was bracing himself, fighting the urge to soften. His gaze flickered briefly to the plants behind you, and something about the way he looked at them made your heart ache. He had always admired your ability to nurture life. Maybe that was part of the problem.
“Don’t you get it?” he murmured, the faintest crack slipping into his otherwise steady voice. “You’re the kind of person who brings things to life. And I’m… I’m not built for that. I’ve spent my whole life trying to eliminate threats, avoid attachments. If I let you stay, I’ll start—” He stopped himself, jaw tightening. “I’ll start believing that something good can last. That I could keep it.”
“And that scares you.” Your voice was soft, but it wasn’t a question.
He gave a small, bitter smile—barely more than a twitch of his lips. “More than you know.”
You reached for him, but he took a step back, the movement as deliberate as the rest of him.
“This isn’t about you,” he said quietly, but with finality. “It’s about me. I need to be in control. Of myself. Of everything.”
“So what?” you asked, anger creeping into your voice. “You’re just going to walk away because loving me makes you feel human?”
He didn’t answer right away. For a moment, the silence stretched between you, heavy and suffocating. Then he gave a short, almost mechanical nod, as if he’d already accepted the conclusion long before this conversation started. “Yes.”
The word was sharp and precise, like a scalpel cutting away what remained of your relationship.
You stared at him, the anger dissolving into disbelief. “That’s it?”
His gaze softened, just for a moment—a fleeting crack in the armor he wore so tightly. “I wish it could be different. But this… this isn’t who I’m supposed to be.”
“V,” you whispered, hoping, praying for something—anything—that would prove he still felt what you knew he did.
He looked at you for a long, agonizing moment, as if memorizing your face, storing it away somewhere deep inside where even he wouldn’t be able to touch it again. Then, in the cold, measured tone that defined him, he said:
“Take care of the yourself.”
And just like that, he turned and left, his footsteps quiet and steady, as if the weight of the world didn’t press down on his shoulders with every step.
You stood there, rooted in place, surrounded by the life you had nurtured together. But the warmth that had once existed between you was gone, replaced by the cold absence of a man too afraid to let himself love.
After breakup
After the breakup, V seems completely unaffected to anyone who looks at him. He keeps his composure—his face neutral, his voice flat. But in reality, every moment feels heavier than the last, as if the air around him thickens with regret. He doesn’t say it aloud, but your absence clings to him like a bruise, slow to fade.
He throws himself into routines: feeding stray animals, taking care of his birdies
V starts taking longer and longer walks at night, finding solace in animals—creatures who don’t demand emotional explanations or try to decipher the complicated labyrinth of his thoughts. He prefers their company now; they don’t pry. But every time he comes across a familiar place where the two of you once spent time together, the ache sharpens in his chest. He curses himself for noticing. He curses you for lingering, even when you’re not there.
In his mind, the breakup was the logical choice. You deserved someone softer, someone better suited for a future with gardens and pets that didn’t come with the looming shadow of death. His cold detachment was supposed to make things easier for both of you—cleaner. But it didn’t. Not for him. No matter how much he tries to rationalize it, the feelings linger, gnawing at him like ivy curling through the cracks of his armor.
V was drawn to your nurturing side, but that also terrified him. You made him feel safe, and that safety was unsettling. What kind of monster finds comfort in someone so good? You balanced the chaos in him with quiet strength, but that only made his darkest impulses feel more dangerous in comparison. Loving you made him feel seen—and he hated that more than anything.
V drafts messages to you late at night, only to delete them before they’re ever sent. “How are the flowers? The white ones should bloom this week.” He knows you’re better off without him. Still, his thumb hovers over the send button sometimes, just long enough to remind him how easy it would be to drag you back into his world.
He convinces himself that he’s done the right thing. But when he sees you smiling with someone new—someone who fits the life you deserve—it’s like a knife twisting in his chest. His expression doesn’t change, but his hands clench so tightly his knuckles turn white. If he were any less disciplined, he might’ve killed them right there. He tells himself it’s jealousy, but deep down, he knows it’s grief.
The animals he cares for—strays, birds, the creatures that flock to him—pick up on his sadness. A stray cat curls up in his lap, sensing the heaviness in him. He brushes his fingers over its fur absentmindedly, realizing for the first time that animals understand heartbreak better than most people. It’s a strange kind of comfort, but not enough to fill the space you left behind.
On nights when the loneliness becomes unbearable, V sits in the garden under the moonlight, staring at the plants the two of you nurtured together. He tells himself it was inevitable, that he had to let you go. But sometimes, in the quiet hours of the night, he wonders if it was all just fear. Fear that you’d unravel him completely. Fear that someone as good as you could never truly love someone like him.
V doesn’t believe in sentimental nonsense. But you were the closest thing he’d ever come to a home. He knows now that even the coldest creatures crave warmth—and he found it in you. But instead of basking in it, he let his fear drive you away. And now, all he can do is live with the knowledge that he traded his one chance at happiness for the hollow comfort of control.
He repeats it like a mantra—It’s better this way. But the words feel empty. As he tends to the plants alone, surrounded by the animals that will never ask the questions he can’t answer, the truth settles in: Losing you wasn’t just painful—it was the kind of mistake you can never undo.

Misaki- The baby
You can tell something is off the second Misaki steps through the window , a familiar grin plastered across their face but… it doesn’t reach her eyes. There’s a weight she’s trying to hide behind that goofy, energetic exterior, but it slips through the cracks—just enough for you to notice.
“Heyyyy! Guess who’s here!” she singsongs, throwing her arms up dramatically, like this is some routine. Like everything is fine.
But you know it isn’t. You can see it in the way their hands fidget with the cuffs of her sleeves, how their gaze darts around the room, never quite landing on you. She’s stalling.
"Misaki," you say gently. "What’s going on?"
She drops onto the couch, kicking off her shoes in that chaotic, carefree way of hers. But the moment she speaks, you hear the tension threading through her voice, coiled tight like a wire ready to snap.
"So," she says with a forced grin, "you ever, uh... just know when something's not working? Like, you’re throwing everything at it—your whole heart, even—and it’s still like... hmmm... maybe this isn’t it." She laughs, but it’s sharp, brittle. “Yeah, so… that’s kinda what I’ve been thinking."
Your heart sinks. “What are you saying?”
She makes finger guns, like this whole thing is a joke. Like it’s not ripping her apart inside. "Ding ding ding! Breakup, baby! You win!" Their voice is too loud, too bright, and it makes your chest hurt because this is Misaki, hiding behind humor like it’s armor.
"Misaki... stop joking. What’s really going on?"
She freezes, and for a second, you catch the flash of something raw in her eyes—panic, maybe. Fear. She rubs at the back of their neck, suddenly looking smaller than usual despite their big personality.
“I mean it,” she says, softer now. "I’ve been thinking... and I don’t think I can do this. I love you. I do. But I don’t think I know how to be with you." their voice cracks on the last word, and she tries to cover it with a shaky laugh.
"I thought maybe if I acted normal, if I kept being goofy, I could pretend it was fine. But it’s not fine, and I can’t keep faking it."
There’s a long silence between you. You search their face, looking for something to latch onto, some way to fix this. But she won’t meet your gaze—just stares at their hands, as if they might hold answers she can’t find.
You want to say something, anything, but before you can, she stands up abruptly, forcing a grin. "Hey, no hard feelings, okay? We had a good run! And honestly, who else would put up with me for this long? You're a saint." She laughs again, but this one sounds more like a sob.
"Misaki—"
"Don’t," she interrupts, holding up a hand. "If you say something sweet, I swear I'll lose it."
You can only watch as she grabs their stuff and heads toward the door, moving too quickly, like she’s afraid she’ll change their mind if she stays a second longer. She pauses with their hand on the doorknob, finally glancing back at you with a crooked, bittersweet smile.
"Take care of yourself, okay? And... eat something that’s not ramen for once, idiot." Her voice wavers, but she gives you one last grin—bright and broken, just like them—and then she’s gone.
Misaki keeps up their bubbly, chaotic energy around others. They crack jokes, flirt, and prank their friends even harder, desperate to keep things light. But the more they joke, the hollower it feels. It’s all performance, and they know it—hoping that if they pretend long enough, the ache in their chest will fade.
At night, when they're finally alone, the mask slips. They lie in bed, scrolling through old texts, hovering over the call button but never pressing it. They stare at photos of the two of you together until their eyes blur with tears. Without anyone to laugh with, their humor shatters, leaving them to drown in silence.
Some nights, they're furious—angry at themself for not making things work, for ruining something good. Other times, they direct the blame toward you in petty ways: If only they tried harder… But beneath it all, Misaki knows the truth—it wasn't anyone's fault. And that truth stings the most. It was theirs...
Misaki starts calling random friends or coworkers during missions—anyone who’ll listen, even if the conversation is meaningless. They just need a familiar voice to fill the silence, laughing too hard at jokes that aren’t even funny. It’s not you, but it’s the closest they can get.
They still cook elaborate meals, even though it’s only for themself. Sometimes, out of habit, they set two plates—only to realize halfway through and shove the extra one back into the cabinet with trembling hands.
The worst moments are when they catch themself about to say something only you would understand—a dumb inside joke, a shared quip. They pause mid-sentence, force an awkward laugh, and change the topic. But every time it happens, it feels like a tiny knife twisting deeper in their chest.
They dive headfirst into anything to keep busy—missions, side hustles, parties. They flirt harder, act sillier, laugh louder. But nothing sticks. The more they try to drown the feelings, the heavier the emptiness becomes.
Even on the brink of falling apart, Misaki will still be the one wiping a friend's tears and giving pep talks. They’ve always been the goofy, reliable one. Showing their hurt feels like admitting defeat, so they bottle it up, letting it fester inside.
When they finally stop moving—standing in the shower or waiting for water to boil—the thoughts creep in. They’ll remember a tiny, stupid detail about you—how you liked your eggs, or the way you hummed that one song—and it breaks them all over again.
They’ve convinced themself that you're better off without them. They’re probably happier now. This is for the best. They repeat it like a mantra, hoping that one day it will feel true. But it never does.
A tiny part of them still hopes you’ll reach out. Every notification makes their heart race, even though they know it’s foolish. And every time it’s not you, it feels like a punch to the gut.
They make light jokes about the breakup to friends, brushing it off like it was nothing. “Ha, relationships are overrated, right?” But if someone lingers too long on the topic, their laugh falters, and they change the subject as quickly as they can.
Misaki acts unbothered—they smile, wave, maybe even throw out a playful joke. But the moment they’re alone, they crumble, staring at their reflection in a window or a mirror and whispering, Why wasn’t I enough?
Misaki keeps telling themself they’ll bounce back—I’ve been through worse. I’ll survive this, too. But deep down, they know that some scars never truly heal. And this one? It’s going to stay with them for a long, long time.

Angel-Heartsick
Angel sits across from you, her usual radiant smile nowhere to be found. Instead, her lips are pressed into a tight line, and she’s nervously tapping her foot—a rare crack in her poised demeanor. You know something is coming, the weight of unspoken words hanging between you like a storm waiting to break.
She takes a deep breath, brushing a hand through her perfectly styled hair. "Okay, listen, this is… really hard for me, but I need to say it." Her voice wavers, not from uncertainty, but from the effort of keeping herself together.
"It’s not you. I swear it’s not. And, ugh, I hate how cliché that sounds," she huffs, forcing out a laugh that doesn’t reach her eyes. "I just… I’ve been thinking, and I feel like I’m dragging you through something you didn’t sign up for. I try to be this fun, easygoing person, but you’ve seen what’s underneath. The spirals. The breakdowns."
Her fingers fiddle with the edge of her sleeve, a nervous tic you rarely see. "I thought I could handle everything. Work, us, my brain… But I can’t. And it’s not fair to you." She pauses, her chest rising with another heavy breath. "You’ve been… amazing, honestly. But I don’t think I know how to be what you need, not when I’m still figuring out how to take care of myself."
Her eyes shimmer, but she fights back the tears, refusing to let them fall. "I thought maybe if I tried harder, if I just kept pushing, we could make it work. But now… now I think I’d only hurt you more in the end."
Her voice breaks slightly as she continues. "I care about you so much. Too much. And that’s why I have to let you go." The words hang in the air, sharp and final, like the snap of a closing door.
She reaches out, briefly touching your hand before pulling away like she can’t bear the contact. "You deserve someone who can be fully present, and I need to be alone for a while. To figure things out, for real this time."
A bitter, self-deprecating smile curls her lips. "Maybe one day, when I’m not such a mess, we can find each other again. But right now? I think we both deserve better than what I can give."
Angel puts on a brave face for her followers and fans, continuing to post her usual cheerful content, but inside, she feels like she’s crumbling. She hides her heartbreak behind edited videos and vibrant filters, desperately trying to convince everyone—and herself—that she’s okay.
When the cameras are off, she often finds herself lying in bed, scrolling through old pictures and messages from you. Late at night, when the world is quiet, the tears come. She stares at the ceiling, feeling the weight of her choices pressing down like a heavy blanket.
Even when surrounded by friends and fans, she feels a profound sense of loneliness. Their laughter and cheers fade into white noise, and all she can think about is how they don’t know the real her—the one who’s struggling, the one who misses you deeply.
Random moments trigger memories of you, whether it’s a song playing in the background or a dish you both loved. Each reminder feels like a fresh wound, slicing through her carefully constructed facade. She’ll smile on the outside, but inside, it feels like everything is unraveling.
Editing videos becomes a bittersweet task. Sometimes she’ll leave in bloopers or comments about you, only to cringe afterward and cut them out. It’s a constant battle between nostalgia and pain, and she often wonders if she’ll ever be able to look at those memories without hurting.
Whenever she starts to spiral into her dark thoughts, it feels like a tidal wave crashing over her. She worries that she’ll never feel “normal” again, and her thoughts race with anxiety, self-doubt, and regrets. On particularly hard days, she feels trapped in her own mind.
Angel throws herself into her work, often taking on extra projects and collaborations to keep her mind occupied. But deep down, she knows it’s a temporary fix; the happiness it brings doesn’t fill the void left by you.
She reaches out to friends more often, craving their presence but feeling guilty for leaning on them too much. Her internal monologue battles with the fear that she’s becoming a burden, and she hides her real feelings to avoid dragging anyone down with her.
“I’m Fine” - The phrase becomes a shield against probing questions, even though she’s anything but fine. When friends ask how she’s doing, she forces a smile and replies, “I’m fine!” but she can feel the cracks in her voice.
Her manic episodes return with a vengeance, and she feels like she’s on a rollercoaster of emotions—sometimes feeling hopeful, other times spiraling into despair. It’s exhausting, and she struggles to keep up with herself.
She finds herself typing out messages to you, only to delete them before hitting send. The urge to reach out is strong, but the fear of rejection and the pain of facing reality keeps her from doing so.
Her dreams are filled with memories of you—happy moments twisted into something bittersweet. She wakes up in the middle of the night, heart racing, clutching her pillow and wishing it were you.
Despite everything, there’s a part of her that clings to the hope that things might change. She often daydreams about a future where she’s healed, where you could be together again, but that hope feels more like a curse than a blessing.
Angel tries to channel her emotions into creative outlets, like painting or journaling. It’s cathartic, but she often finds herself stuck, unable to translate the whirlwind of feelings into words or images.

━━━━━━༻🕯༺━━━━━━
“Oi, get back here so I can murder you!”
You cursed under your breath as you ran down the hall of Oya Kou, shoving other students out of the way. You could hear his thundering footsteps getting closer and you knew you had to make a decision before you got caught.
Your eyes darted back and forth across the hall as you looked for an escape route. As soon as you spotted an open door, you darted inside, slamming the door shut. There was a tall wooden storage shelf beside the door and you grabbed it, pulling with all your strength until it fell in front of the door.
You could hear him roaring your name, nearly upon you now. With another curse, you started piling the desks on top of the shelf, jumping back when it started to rattle.
“Get out here, you coward! I’m going to murder you!”
You honestly didn’t doubt it. Yasushi was insane and you knew he might actually kill you if he got his hands on you. You scanned the room, looking for a place to hide. No, he would tear the room apart looking for you.
One of the desks fell off the pile from the sheer force he was using. ‘It’s not going to hold!’ You bit your lip, looking at the window. It was a dumb choice but it was the only choice you had.
Taking a deep breath, you pushed the window open, the cold autumn air hitting you in the face. The ground seemed farther than it actually was and you swallowed hard, rethinking your decision.
Yasushi managed to get the door open a crack, his arm slipping through to try and shove the desks out of the way.
It was now or never.
Do or die.
Taking a deep breath, you carefully slipped your leg over the sill. You ducked beneath the window, jumping when the pile of desks were thrown across the room. The shelf scraped across the linoleum floor as the door was slowly pushed open.
You pulled the rest of your body out the window, clutching onto the sill for dear life as you looked over your shoulder at the ground below. The door was finally opened enough for Yasushi to squeeze through and, despite the fear you felt, you couldn’t help but snort at his neon pink hair.
“Hah?! You have the nerve to laugh after what you’ve done?!” He growled, rushing toward you.
You cried out in surprise, jumping from the window. He reached out to you, fingers brushing against yours but he was unable to grab you. Your body hit the ground hard, startling the group of boys standing nearby. They looked at you in shock, eyes wide.
Clenching your teeth in pain, you slapped your hand atop a desk sitting in the courtyard, pulling yourself to your feet. Your ankle protested but you knew Yasushi was making his way toward you and you knew you couldn’t stick around. Taking a deep breath, you forced yourself forward, heading for the school’s gate.
Your number one priority was to get somewhere safe, far away from both Oya and the hot-headed blonde. ‘Well… I suppose he’s a pinkette now,’ you snickered, though it died as soon as you put weight on your ankle. It wasn’t broken, you knew, but it certainly was not having a good time.
Using the wall for support, you walked as quickly as you could.
You could hear Yasushi screaming in the courtyard, demanding to know where you had gone. Oya was notorious for their students being loyal to their own factions. Since you didn’t belong to a faction, they had no loyalty to you and, though they didn’t belong to the YasuKiyo faction, they weren’t dumb enough to go against Oya’s psycho.
They weren’t as dumb as you and that was a bit depressing to think about. To be fair, you had been dared to do it and you weren’t the type of person to stand down from a challenge.
“When I find you, I’m going to kill you! I know you hear me, you brat!”
You winced, slipping into an alley. You really should have chosen truth instead… Heavy footsteps were heading in your direction and you quickly ducked down beside an overflowing trash can. The smell nearly made you gag but you managed to catch yourself, slapping your hand over your mouth and nose.
The footsteps stopped at the end of the alley and you tensed up, holding your breath. A heavy silence seemed to settle over you for an uncomfortably long amount of time. Was he still there? You were too afraid to check. With your luck, he would be standing on the other side of the trashcan, waiting to grab you as soon as you peer your head around.
You were nearly out of air and, just as you started to remove your hand to breathe, you heard his boots hitting the pavement, heading away from the alley. Your heart raced within your chest and you continued holding your breath until you couldn’t anymore, sucking in a gulp of air.
As you stood up, you winced in pain.
What were you supposed to do now? Yasushi wasn’t the type of man who forgave easily and he never forgets when he’s been wronged. You’d have to avoid Oya for a while.
Possibly even the rest of your life.
You sighed deeply, running a hand through your hair. “I’m such a dumbass.”
━━━━━━༻🕯༺━━━━━━
You fell onto the curb with a sigh, suppressing a shiver when the wind picked up. The sun was low on the horizon, barely visible behind the buildings. Leaves littered the ground, an ombre of orange, brown and red. They scraped across the ground whenever the wind blew, the sound echoing through the quiet night.
You untied your shoe, hissing as you slid it off your foot. Even with your sock on, you could tell it was swollen and it was sore to the touch. All you wanted to do was return home and curl up under your warm comforter. How could you, though, when you lived right next door to the psycho you had pissed off? The walls were thin and he’d definitely hear it if you came home.
You groaned, falling back onto the sidewalk and closing your eyes. The cement was ice-cold through your clothes, bringing goosebumps to your skin. Thunder rumbled softly in the distance and you groaned again. Normally, you adored the rain, but not when it was cold outside and you had nowhere safe to stay.
The sound of footsteps made you tense up but you didn’t open your eyes, hoping that it wasn’t Yasushi come to actually end your existence.
“Hey, are you okay?”
You released the breath you had been holding when you realized it wasn’t him. Opening your eyes, you found an extremely tall, well-built guy towering over you. He was looking down at you with no expression, though you could see a hint of worry lingering in her dark eyes.
“Oh, uh, yeah… yeah, I’m fine.” You offered him a sheepish smile as you pulled yourself up into a sitting position. As you slid your foot back into your shoe, you hissed in pain.
“Doesn’t sound like you’re okay,” he commented, squatting down beside you so he could see your foot better. He still towered over you easily and you hoped he had no beef with Oya.
If he did, there was no way you could hold your own against this guy. He was just radiating raw strength and power – it was almost stifling.
“What happened?” he wondered, glancing at you.
“I, uh… fell…” You rubbed the back of your neck, finding it hard to admit that you had jumped from the second floor just to avoid the consequences of your actions. “But I’m fine!” You replied quickly, pulling yourself to your feet. “Excuse me.”
You bowed your head to him before turning and starting down the street. Only… your ankle chose that moment to decide it had had enough, giving out beneath you. You closed your eyes, waiting to hit the cold cement.
Strong arms wrapped around your waist, holding you against a firm chest. Warm breath hit your ear when he spoke. “Let me help you home.”
“Ah, no, that’s not necessary…” You forced a smile, trying to pull away. He allowed you to do so, yet he kept his hand on your arm just in case.
“You can’t walk,” he frowned, brow furrowed.
“I can’t go home right now, okay? I’ll just…” you rubbed the back of your neck with a frown, glancing at the opposite end of the street. “Find a park or somethin’.”
“It’s supposed to rain tonight. You’ll catch your death if you spend the night in the park.” Rao scanned you, considering for a moment. Many kids who came to the orphanage were running from abusive families and he had to wonder if you were doing the same.
To him, you were clearly lying about how you came to be injured. Now, you claimed you couldn’t go home, choosing instead to weather the cold instead.
“You can stay with me.”
Your head snapped toward him, eyes wide, and he realized he had phrased it poorly.
Shifting his weight, he motioned toward the orphanage behind him. “We have spare rooms. You can stay here tonight.”
You glanced at the building, taking note of several older kids peering out the window curiously. When they saw you, they darted back behind the curtain. “Are you sure that’s okay?”
He nodded, getting a firm grip on your arm before he began leading you toward the building.
“Thank you,” you replied softly before introducing yourself to him.
He smiled down at you, his brown eyes warm. “My name is Mario. Misaki Mario.”
“Nice to meet you, Misaki-san.”
“Just call me Mario,” he told you softly, pushing the door open. Several kids were peaking their heads around the doorway, looking at you curiously. When he noticed them, he frowned. “You guys are supposed to be in bed.”
“We were curious, nii-chan,” replied a young girl with black hair. Her dark eyes met yours and she frowned. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” you replied with a small smile. “Just hurt my ankle.”
“I’ll get the ice pack!” She stated before turning and rushing off.
“No fair, I wanted to get it!” cried a young boy as he rushed after her.
“I’ll get the pain meds.”
“I’ll grab a blanket!”
“I’ll get the snacks!”
Rao chuckled, shaking his head before leading you over to the living room where an old couch sat. It was full of holes and it creaked sadly when you sat down. “Prop your foot up on the table.”
You lifted your foot and –
“Take your shoe off first,” he scolded, reaching forward to pull it off. When he realized what he was doing, he paused, a light dusting of pink on his cheeks. “Sorry, habit.”
“It’s okay,” you smiled, surprised by how gentle and cute such a massive guy could be.
The children came rushing into the room, carrying various items they believed would help, including toys and a card game. After propping your foot up on the table with a pillow beneath it, you were given some pain meds and some water. The young girl gently sat the ice pack on your ankle and you winced at how cold it was.
“Thank you, everyone,” you smiled gently at the group, hugging the worn teddy bear one of the smaller boys had given you for comfort.
“You’re welcome!” They chorused.
“Alright, back to bed,” ordered Rao, shooing the kids toward the door despite their protests.
You sunk farther down on the couch with a smile, eyes closed as you hugged the teddy bear. Maybe pissing off Yasushi hadn’t been such a bad thing, after all.

| GOLD RUSH | REI SUWA |
[ synopsis ] — Rei Suwa some how accepted advent of Miri in his life, had made peace with the presence of his partner, Kazuki long before Miri walked into their life. He was not willing to do it anymore, not under any circumstances but hearts does not align with our minds, does it now?
[ content & themes ] — undertones of fluff cuz i love miri, f!reader ( s!her pronouns ), canon typical violence, death, murder, profanity, mention of smoking, alcohol, sexual tension, mutual pinning, rei is so fvcking oblivious that I wanna bang my head on a pillow. characters include :: Kazuki Kurusu, Kyutaro Kugi, Miri Unasaka, Anna Hanyu. word count :: 1.5k
Tumblr media
One. Two. Three. . . and four. Four turns it took for Rei to adjust the lens of his sniper. His eyebrows which were already congested seemed to become more devoted to the cause. Kazuki might not have packed the most comfortable sniper Rei likes to use. That fucking dim wit. A low grunt escapes past his lips as he aligns the nozzle upon the railing of the rooftop.
The weather is sunny yet sultry, not particularly of what Suwa prefers to have while executing his job, that is to scratch off another name from the list Kyutaro has given him. On any other day, Kazuki would have accompanied him but not today. Today is special. . . special because Miri claims that she is turning six years old.
It was so random that both the assassins thought that it was one of the other tactics to have a chocolate cake that she was denied the other day. Lately, Kazuki has been strict and he is nothing less than an angry bird as imagined by Miri. But Miri can be stubborn sometimes and hence Kazuki stayed behind to cook chocolate cupcakes for her. She does not crave gigantic three layered cakes, just small cupcakes that would perfectly fit in her small dainty hands. How odd ! How childish!
“Are you ready?” Kazuki conjectured from the other side. Rei can not recall anything happy of sort about his birthdays or birthdays in general. In all honesty, he never really understood the undying joy on birthdays. What exactly is there to celebrate? We're all gonna die at some day or it could be at the next moment. We're just getting closer to it each day, each month, each year. What's the point of celebration?
“Hm.” That was . . . inert for someone who never liked babysitting. Kazuki even proposed that he can go and do the job in his way while Rei could sit at home, look after Miri and play video games. Was he mad about getting hired for this job? Who can tell? Well, definitely not Rei since he rarely speaks his mind.
“Alright. I’m going to call.” Kazuki clears his throat before dialing the number of their target. One. two and a half ring — “hello”
“Hello. Good Morning. We are calling from the pollution center. I would like to inform you that the car registered under your name has been . . .
“But I don't remember sending my car for a pollution check.”
“Perhaps it was your daughter. . . Naomi Kento.”
And those dull black eyes are now watching the target like an eagle hunting for its prey. The lens zooms in. The target, Mr. Kento Fujiwara is now loitering from one end of his room to the other. Rei could have easily taken a shot through his neck but his bodyguard is quite persistent, maybe a little too good for her job. Rei moves his eyes from the lens while two sets of his fingers reach up to his ears, “ Kazuki. What’re ya doin? He is moving too much. Talk less.” God, the sun is burning his skin and thinning his patience. He is not particularly aware of the reason behind his edgy mood and now is definitely not the time to think about it.
“Oh! It wasn’t your daughter. I see. I apologize. There must be some sort of mistake in your system. We will send one of our staff to . . .
And Mr.Kento Fujiwara is still standing in front of his gigantic glass window but his bodyguard is keeping Rei from getting a clean shot. Does she know? Or was she planted by Kyutaro to test his skills? The other day he commented how rei had become a little rusty and needed to get back on his track. Wouldn’t be surprised if he were to do this. Rei moves away from the sniper lens once again and exhales deeply, long enough to make a decision : death or deaths.
The girl turned around on her heel and was approaching the gigantic window. Suwa thought she might have been asked to draw in the curtains which meant he had to wait another two hours for getting a good clean shot. Needless to say, he was not going to settle for it. Still he chose death. He watches the bodyguard to keep her hostler on the table nearby and adjusts her body suit. God, he can’t wait to put a bullet through that man’s heart. Kyutaro was right about him. He is a shark as well as a parasite. BANG!
Rei watches the target fall to the floor like a tree chopped from its root. Tsk! His eyebrows grow flat for a few seconds when he hears Kazuki saying, “Mr. Fujiwara? Mr.Fujiwara? . . .Are you there?” He isn’t. Kazuki disconnects the call. The number he used belonged to one of the staff from the pollution center, as provided by their friendly bartender : Kyutaro Kugi.
“Odd.”, Suwa comets watching all the guards in black suits flood the room that has a corpse lying on the ground.
“What is?” more than him, Kazuki is on edge. Suwa is glad that Kakuki did not tag along in this job. It would have taken more time to take out the target.
“Well, not our problem.”, Suwa amends. He is already lighting his cigarette, having his sniper rifle on his back. He is fast. He has always been fast.
‘Breaking news : Kento Fujiwara, one of the leading business tycoons, was murdered yesterday morning. It seems that he died because of the injury in the head. . .
The news continues to broadcast further details, clarifying what is going to happen to his estates as well as his family members but none of that registers into Suwa’s brain. He is stuck at the ‘injury in the head’ part , which means, ‘shot at the head’  Sure, he is having a tough time but he is not too weak to miss his shot that was aimed at the belly, not the head. He can not be that reckless. Plus, it has been a long time since he shot someone right in the head. It can’t be. Something just doesn't fit.
“Rei. . .” Kazuki draws in the curtains of the room basking the room with the rays of azure noon.
“What?” Rei utters with the same bored expression that he always has on his face, but this time he bothers to tilt his head with a furrow in between his brows. Its unlike him. He is annoyed. He does his job with the least possible muscle movements, at all times, and most of his energy investment goes to games and Miri.
“I’m going to pick up Miri. I got a call from daycare. So, you have to pay a visit to the bar.” Kazuki shuts the door behind him before leaving. What a drag!
The bar has never been crowded, and has not been lonely either. The reason he hates coming here is of course Kugi’s horde of questions. More than that, he thinks he should not be collecting money for killing people, in certain cases but not all. He does not regret killing Kento Fujiwara even though it was not his bullet that caused the death. He takes a deep breath before entering the bar and his reason of irritation is not there, Kugi is not there.
“Welcome. . . ehh—
“Rei Suwa.”, his voice pitches in. With casual steps, hands inside the pocket of his hoodie he walks in and sits in front of the new face, the new bartender, a girl . . . no! a lady. “I’m here for Kyu- . . . Kyu-chan.” He averts making eye-contact instead focuses his mind to light a cigarette.
“I’m sorry. . . but you can’t smoke—
So, She is not a newcomer or perhaps really needed this job or perhaps a normal person. I don’t think he is okay with a woman working in his bar . . . without actually knowing what he does.
The smoke swirls in the form of a circle as Rei lets out a drag. His eyes are on hers, watching, thinking how come he has never heard of a girl related to this obsidian world. He takes in another drags and quickly scans her.
“I can.” Suwa boldly remarks with his eyes settled on her relaxed posture with his harmless bored expression that he thinks is quite infuriating, enough to get a reaction out of her.
She is still not annoyed . . . not even repeating herself. Kyu must have a tough time putting up with her. . . mood. She turns her head towards the door that leads to the wine cellar. One. . .two . . .she blinks and Kyutaro emerges from the room with two flagons.
“Had a feeling I'd be seeing you.”, he remarks, keeping the box of wine bottles on the counter. “Why did you let him smoke, y/n ?” Kyutaro shifts his eyes on the lady who stands still with a face that seems apologetic in so many ways.
Bingo. y/n. y/n is her name. breaking the rule was worth it.
“Moreover. . .” , his eye brows ran closer. “Why’re you smoking?”
“Sorry. My bad. Had a rough day.”, Suwa quips, putting off the fire on the ashtray that y/n slided while ago. Smart and swift.
Kyutaro adjusts his spectacles. He proceeds to the inner side of the counter. “Here.” he hands over two envelopes to Suwa, a smile of gratitude visible on his face. Suwa bows and leaves the bar within a minute.
It’s not a surprise that he has a girl by his side. After all, he has always been popular among girls, that lucky fucker.
[ notes ] — might ( emphasis on might ) have a part ii ( if it does, i'll continue on ao3) but feel free to send me thoughts about them. I love the characters so much that I could write four page essays on them. This fic was a bit rushed but I had the idea after watching the first episode so I got time to prepare it in my head ( yeah thanks to my insomnia ). If you want to read more of my writings click here. And, if you like reading it, please like & reblog, leave a comment. thank you :›

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: shiki misaki x gn!reader
tags: wholesome fluff, implied crush
Tumblr media
shiki had managed to convince you into letting her make a piece of clothing of your choice for you
at first you were hesitant, knowing how much work it would be for shiki, but after a while you gave in, knowing how much shiki loved designing clothes
and now here you were, wearing the clothes shiki had made for you!
it looked even better than you had imagined! you knew shiki was talented, but this was just breathtaking!
speaking of breathtaking, not just the clothes looked amazing, but so did you!
shiki was barely able to function after seeing you in the clothes she had made for you
you always looked stunning, but now the sight of you in the clothes she made for you was truly breathtaking
while you inspected the clothes, spinning around and getting a good look at yourself in the mirror, shiki was trying to calm herself down a little
she could only look at you for a certain amount of time, before her face would turn red and she would get too excited
but now that shiki knew how good you looked in those clothes, she would surely make more like those for you!

Kitty (part 9)
Parts 1-8 here. Rei x (afab) reader, usual fluff but also... Warnings: Implied gun violence, kidnapping, blood, panic attacks
This chapter is suuuper long, so buckle up! --
Kazuki and Rei get assigned some reconnaissance work from Kyu that takes place over the weekend and into the early week. You reassure the blonde you’re perfectly happy to watch over Miri whilst they’re out, keeping her entertained and fed as they spend the next three days on the job. They’re up early and back late, but Rei sends you sweet text messages to check in whenever he can.
It’s now early Tuesday afternoon – Kazuki dropped off the information to Kyu this morning, and you’re working on the breakfast and lunch dishes with Kazuki. Rei is tackling the folding of the laundry, though Kazuki is keeping a close eye.
As you dip a pan in the hot, soapy water, a sharp pain shoots through your head and you let go, instinctively rubbing the side of your head when you flinch – it’s the telltale beginning of a headache.
“You okay there, Kitty?” Kazuki questions, a cloth in hand as he dries. You nod your head, continuing the therapeutic scrubbing of the pans but he’s leaning forward now, trying to get a good look at you. “You’re looking a little flush.”
The back of his hand is suddenly pressed on your forehead. “Huh, you’re feeling a little bit warm too.”
“A fever?” Rei questions over his shoulder.
You shake your head, “No, I f-feel okay,” but another pain twinges through your head, ruining your performance. The two men stare at you. “OK, maybe m-my head hurts a l-little, b-but it’s f-fine.”
Kazuki side-steps between you and the sink now and hands you a cloth to dry off your hands. “Go sit down. I’ll get the thermometer.”
You nod, walking around the counter to go sit on the couch, unsure why but it’s obvious that Kazuki isn’t going to let you bluff your way out of it. You’d always worked through illnesses in the past, he was hardly going to give you a day off.
Moments later, Kazuki is kneeling down in front of you, asking you to stick the thermometer under your tongue. There’s a beep and he muses over the results, Rei hovering over his shoulder. “Temperature’s running a little high, but only a little. I still think it’s the beginning of a fever. It must be something from daycare, Ms Anna warned there was something going around.”
“Should we go to hospital?”
Kazuki smiles at his room-mate’s concern. “It’s just a bug, no need for that.” The blonde gets to his feet, clearing a path in front of you. “Go on, to bed with you. I’ll send Rei up with some medication in a minute, okay?”
“B-bed?”
“Yep – you need to rest. Go on.”
“B-but I can finish the d-dishes first…” You frowned at the counter.
“You’re sick.” Kazuki stressed. “Pyjamas on, in bed, rest.”
“Go on, Kitty. I can do them.” Rei nods, hoping that might encourage you to listen.
“Okay. Just f-for a b-bit.” You hold the railing as you go up the stairs, knowing that every step is being scrutinized.
By the time you’ve changed into your pyjamas – an activity that seems to make you feel more warm than anything else – and got in the bed, Rei arrives with a tray in hand, balancing a glass, pitcher of water and a box of medication, looking concerned. “Kazuki says to take two of these – that’ll it help with the temperature and the headache.” He places it down on the bedside table before removing the tablets from the box, popping out two and holding them out to you.
You’d be skeptical of taking them if it wasn’t Rei offering them to you. You pop them in your mouth and wash them down with water, leaning back into the pillows.
“I r-really don’t f-feel that bad…”
When Rei was young and sick, Boss made him run. Sweat it out, boy. All he’d wanted to do was sleep, but he wasn’t permitted a day off training for such a trivial thing as a fever. He has a job to do, it’s not going to wait, and Boss said working through it would only strengthen his immune system. He’d been sick once soon after Kazuki had moved in – he’d blamed the blonde for bringing his germs in – and Kazuki had manhandled him into his actual bed, got him to drink some disgusting medicine, put a wet cloth on his forehead – he had to admit that bit had been nice - and promised him unlimited ramen cups if he’d remain in the bed the rest of the day and night. Hell, the man had even stayed besides him, switching over the cloths periodically, getting him to drink more medicine, watching him like a hawk.
The next day he had felt much better, he had to admit.
“I know,” Rei kneels down besides the bed, “but better to be cautious. Just rest a bit - for me, okay?”
You’ve been getting better at saying no, but how can you say no to that face?
“Okay,” you mumble, shuffling down in the bed a little. “Are y-you r-really going to w-wash the dishes?”
“Kazuki started doing them as soon as I headed up here. Said we still need to work on a ‘proper scrubbing technique’, apparently.” Rei huffs. “Why are you so worried about the dishes?”
“I’m n-not,” you avoid eye contact, staring at the bed covers.
“Kitty…”
“I w-want to e-earn m-m-my place.”
“Earn?” He frowns.
“Y-yeah. I d-don’t h-have a-any m-m-money or a j-job and I k-k-know Zuki is a-always k-keeping a c-close eye on the b-b-budget and I’m an ad-ad-added ex-expense”, you’re growing flustered, your breath catches in your throat and your stutter is out of control. You dig your nails into your palms, “so the l-least I c-can d-do is c-clean a-and…”
Rei’s hand is now on your cheek, tilting your head to face him. “Breathe,” he reminds, gently. Looking in his eyes grounds you for a moment and you nod, inhaling deeply and purposefully.
“You don’t need to earn anything here. What’s mine is yours, okay? I don’t even need to ask Kazuki to know he’d say the same. Plus, he’s the original couch crasher, so that position’s already taken.” He jokes.
“I w-want to b-be useful, h-have a p-p-purpose…”
“You are and you do, and we can figure out some things when you’re feeling better. But, for right now, I just need you to rest. Please?”
You nod, a little shakily, before laying down fully. It is nice to be lying down.
“Thank you.” He gets up to his feet and pulls the blinds down, blocking out the early afternoon sun.
“C-can you s-stay f-for a bit?”
“Of course.” He returns to the space besides the bed, leaning up against the bedside table. “Close your eyes, I’ll be here.” He lays his hand on top of yours, gently before he withdraws his phone with his other hand, muting the volume and loading up a game. You close your eyes – your head hurts less so with the darkened room. You could just lay like this for a while, right? Then the headache will pass and you can get up and get on with the housework, just lay there for a little longer, listening to Rei tap away at the phone screen…
--
“Come on,” Kazuki whispers. “We haven’t picked Miri up together in a while. Kitty’ll be fine – she’ll probably sleep better without you hovering over her.”
Rei nods, getting up from his vigil. He hadn’t wanted to leave you really in case you needed anything, but Kazuki is probably right. It isn’t a long trip to the daycare, at least, and you do seem pretty asleep now. He leans over you to brush some hair out of your eyes, noting you still feel a little clammy. He grabs hold of the lion he got you from the zoo – it’s lived in your bed ever since – and tucks it into your arms.
“I’ll be back soon, okay?” He murmurs, before leaving the room quietly and pulling the door to behind him.
--
You wake up a few hours later, a dull pain in your head but nothing as bad as earlier. You sit up and reach over to the bedside table, taking a swig of water from the glass, before getting to your feet. The alarm clock suggests you’ve been asleep for over three hours and Miri should be home from daycare and you get to your feet, hoping Kazuki and Rei will deem that enough of a rest to let you help out with the evening activities. Your bedroom door is slightly ajar and you hear Miri squeal – she’s usually quite excited when she first gets home but this level seems new. You wince, the noise sending a sharp pain through your head as you approach the door.
You then hear a distinctly female voice, followed by Kazuki. That’s different. Unexpected. There’s a short sentence that you recognize as Rei, then Miri giggling. You push the door shut, softly, unsure what to do. You think hard, trying to remember any female friend that they’ve mentioned before, but nothing springs to mind. You’re also not sure what rules there are, if any, around guests. They’d never had guests before. He always had guests – don’t talk unless spoken to (that one soon became unnecessary), show them respect, serve them as you would him. You turn and climb back into the bed and wait.
Downstairs, the little girl clocks your absence.
“Papas, where’s Kitty?” Miri frowns.
“You have a cat?” Misaki asks, politely.
“No.” Kazuki grunts. “She’s… a guest. Kitty wasn’t feeling very well, Miri, she’s resting in bed.”
“Oh, poor Kitty.” Miri frowns. But then her attention span drifts as she sees her pile of drawings, dragging her mother over to look.
“I should go check on her.” Rei suggests, getting up from the sofa but Kazuki grabs hold of his arm as he tries to walk past and pulls him back, hissing in his ear, “You are not leaving me alone with this woman, who knows what I’ll do?! I’ll go, you stay.” Rei pouts a little. He doesn’t want to be left alone either.
Kazuki knocks on the door gently and he finds you sitting up in the bed, looking nervous.
“H-hi.”
“How are you feeling?” He steps in and closes the door. You can tell his mind is preoccupied though.
“A l-little b-b-better, thanks.” You lie. “I w-would’ve come down b-but I heard so-somebody e-else and…” You don’t finish, feeling a little cowardly.
“Mm. Yeah, we have a ‘guest’. She’s called Misaki and she’s… Well, she’s Miri’s mother.”
You frown. “I t-t-thought…”
“Me too.” Kazuki sighs, leaning against the closed door. “Misaki seems to have had a change of heart. She wants to take Miri back.”
“Oh.”
“Can she do that? It’s been nearly a year. She just… She let her travel across the whole city on her own with nothing but a letter and an envelope of photos. She can’t just demand to take her back, can she?”
“I… I’m n-not sure.” You wish you could comfort Kazuki better. “You’ll n-need to s-sit and t-talk p-properly.”
“I know, I just don’t want to.” He sighs. “Do you feel up for coming downstairs? Miri was asking for you.”
You don’t really want to, but you do for Miri and Kazuki’s sake. You nod, getting out of the bed, grab the black zip up hoody and pull it over your pyjamas, following the blonde out the bedroom door.
When you get downstairs Misaki is nowhere to be seen, but Miri is delighted to see you, cuddling up against your legs. “Kitty, Mama’s here! Well, she was here, but she’s coming back. She’s going to make us dinner!”
“T-that’s exciting.” You smile, warmly.
“Are you feeling any better?” Rei stands besides you, scrutinizing your face.
You nod, give him a smile and lower your voice. “Is Z-Zuki okay?”
“Not particularly.” He shrugs. “We need to keep calm in front of Miri though. Are you sure you’re feeling better? Come on, sit down.”
A little while later, the buzzer goes.
“Do I have to let her back in?” Kazuki grumbles, but Miri has already sprinted to the front door and is jumping up and down, waiting for Kazuki to let her mama back in. He frowns as he sees her laden with shopping bags in hand, informing that she’s going to make Miri’s favourite dinner.
“Oh…” She smiles at you, unsure, looking you up and down. You wish you’d got changed out of your pyjamas. “Hello, I’m Misaki.”
“Mama, this is Kitty!” Miri beams, giddy with excitement to have all her favourite adults in one place.
“Oh, yes, the, er, guest?”
“Yes. H-h-hi.” There’s the look – the one you always get when you stutter. “N-nice to m-meet y-you.”
“What’s all this?” Kazuki asks, gesturing to the plastic bags in Misaki’s hands - thankfully ending this awkward interaction.
“Oh, well, I’m going to make Hamburg steak. I’m afraid I’ll have to use your kitchen…”
--
Dinner is awkward. There isn’t enough steak for everyone – Misaki only buying four – but that’s okay, you reassure, your appetite is a little off and you’re happy with rice and vegetables. Then there’s not enough chairs at the table, so you offer to sit elsewhere. Kazuki mutters that Misaki should offer to sit elsewhere, like in her own home for one, she’s the one imposing…
You can hear the stilted conversation - Kazuki getting upset as both Miri and Rei compliment the store-bought steak, but Miri is happy to have her papas and mama all together. You’re knelt down besides the coffee table with your dinner, trying your best to not feel excluded. You’d ate worse places and you’d offered, after all…
Rei comes and sits with you on the sofa after dinner, asking if you’re okay, squeezing your hand. You nod – it’s not like Misaki is moving in, you reason in your head, you’ll get your place back. Kazuki is mumbling angrily under his breath as he wipes the dining table, Miri and Misaki working together on the dishes. Miri is telling her mother about how they’re going to sing Silent Night at the daycare’s Christmas party. It’s clear how much Miri loves her mama, but you’ve seen how much the little girl adores Kazuki and Rei too. Not long after the dishes are complete, Miri jumps up besides you on the sofa with a loud yawn when Misaki visits the bathroom and in the time it takes her to return, Miri is snoring happily away. Seeing this, Kazuki takes his chance.
“Talk.” The blonde orders, sitting down at the table and pointing at a chair for Misaki to take.
“Can we do it in, er, private?” She asks, sitting down. You look down at Miri – maybe she hasn’t realized she’s asleep? But when you look up to clarify, you realize she’s looking at you.
“Kitty stays, she’s part of this family too.” Rei replies in a tense tone. You avert your eyes again, looking back at Miri sleeping peacefully on the couch. You’re not sure how this conversation is going to go – you know Kazuki is finding it difficult already and maybe tempers will fray. Miri is a solid sleeper… but, still, you’d hate for her to wake up to find her mama and papas having heated words.
“It’s o-o-okay. I’m f-f-feeling a l-l-little t-tired, so w-why don’t I t-t-take Miri up t-to b-bed?” You suggest. What would you add to the discussion anyway? You worry that you being there will give Misaki ammo, somehow. What are you exposing my daughter to?
“Are you sure?” Kazuki asks and you nod, perhaps a little too eagerly. “Okay, thank you.”
You gently pick the little girl up and she unconsciously snuggles into your arms. Three pairs of eyes of eyes linger on you as you walk up the spiral stairs, padding into Miri’s room and tucking her into her own bed. When you exit, you can hear Kazuki finding it difficult to contain his anger, but you head straight into your room, closing the door to behind you and climbing into bed, cuddling your lion to your chest.
--
“Run!” A voice demands. “Run…!” It’s your father, of course that’s your father’s voice – how could you have forgotten? He repeats it again, but this time, he says your name, or what you think is your name. The thing is, it’s muffled, almost as you’re underwater – you can’t make it out but you know that’s what he’s saying. Why can’t your brain comprehend it? “Run!” You know, somehow, he doesn’t mean out the front door, so you head to the one at the rear of the property – the one that overlooks the woodland. There’s screeching tyres from the front but you don’t look back. The ground is unsteady and you stumble over roots, branches scratching at your legs. It’s muddy – it’s not ideal for running and your shoes are getting stuck in the mud, you’re clumsy, you’re causing a racket. Why are you running? Where are you running to?
You trip, crashing into the ground, mud splatters up on your face. You know there’s no time to waste – your father’s tone had been desperate - so you grasp above you head blindly, trying to find purchase on a branch or a trunk or a rock. You manage to get back up to your feet, but there’s a sharp twinge in your ankle – you must’ve twisted it in the fall. You stagger forward but it’s useless, you’ve lost your momentum, you’ve lost the little bearings you’ve had, but still you limp forward. There’s a racket growing behind you and you try to increase your pace. Your ankle burns with every step, the mud seems to be grow stickier, pulling back at your feet every time you lift them. Pathetic. An arm grabs you around the waist, and you elbow back, demanding they get off you but you know it’s over then. They’re so much stronger – your elbows don’t even make them flinch.
Your wrists are pulled tightly behind your back, feeling like they’re trying to pull your shoulders out of their sockets. Something’s looped around them – a zip tie? – and tightened until it feels like it’s cutting deep into your skin. You’re span round and you get a glimpse of a face – not one you recognize - before you’re thrown over your assailant’s shoulder. They grumble at the state of you, the mud from your fall now sullying their suit.
You struggle but it’s pointless. Fingers pinch into your thighs as they begin to walk back to the house with you, or at least you think they are. It’s hard to tell, the way you’re being held means you can see nothing but the back of your captor. He’s looped an arm through your bound arms to keep you snug against him, and every jostle the restraints cut into your skin more. You know you’re not screaming – you know there’s no-one around here for miles.
You’re back inside the house now, but the room smells different – tangy, bloody…
You’re dropped down on the floor, opposite your father. His nose is bloody, his eye is blackening rapidly. You stare at him but you don’t say a word. Someone new enters the room and you look down at the ground.
“Aktomi, please.” Your father pleads, “If you just give me a little more time…”
“I’ve given you plenty of time.” He replies. “You haven’t even begun to scrape the surface. I need to collect today.” A pair of well-polished shoes appear in your view and the newcomer crouches down in front of you. A hand grasps your chin and tilts it up so you have to make eye contact and you try and swallow back down your fear. “And when I came to collect, you sent the most valuable thing you have running out the door.”
“Please, sir, I beg of you. My mistakes are nothing to do with her. She has her whole life ahead of her…” Your father is on the verge of tears.
He’s still holding you by the chin, fingers digging into your jaw as he twists your face side to side. You don’t what to think what he’s looking for.
“How old is she?”
“19, sir. She’s a dutiful daughter. Ever since her mother died, she’s been so good to me. I don’t deserve her…”
“No, you don’t,” he lets go at last, seeming happy with his findings and gets to his feet. “Put her in the car.”
“What?” You gasp, but you’re hoisted roughly off the ground, an arm looped through your bound wrists again, a hand grips hold of the back of your neck and forces your head down as you’re dragged out. You can’t get purchase on the ground to make a step, tripping over your own feet as they half-carry you. “Father!” You cry out, but it’s useless – you’re already out the door and up the footpath to the dirt road. Every step further they take you, you can hear your father plead and plead and plead… until there’s a solitary gunshot and you know.
There’s the sound of a door being opened and your neck is released, only for you then to be swept off your feet and dropped into the trunk of a car. You try and sit up but a hand pushes your shoulders firmly back down, causing your head to bang against the side console, making your vision swim. Then he appears, smiling at you.
“Enjoy the ride, sweetheart. I’ll decide how you can pay your father’s debts once we’re home.”
The world goes black.
Your eyes shoot open as you sit up, your breath already caught in your throat, covered in a cold sweat. It takes a second for your eyes to adjust – you’re in bed, you’re in Rei’s bedroom, you’re not in a car, you’re not back there… You’re fine, you’re fine, you’re fine - you try to reassure yourself but you have the sickening feeling once more of your breaths not being enough.
“Kitty?” The voice to your side startles you and you’re hyperventilating now, tears trickling down your cheeks and you’re gripping the bedsheet with both hands – willing yourself to just breathe but you can’t. Your head is trying to remember what Kazuki told you, breathing in and out for so many seconds, but you lose count and maybe you’re not breathing deep enough? Did it feel deeper last time? It’s not getting in.
Misaki had left a little while ago. Kazuki had stormed off to bed, but Rei couldn’t sleep. He wanted to see you, make sure you were okay, talk about what had occurred. The bedroom door had been slightly ajar when he’d got upstairs, so he’d poked his head in to find you tossing and turning in the sheets. He’d just made it to your side when you’d shot bolt-right up in the bed, panting.
He’s kneeling besides the bed now, pulling your hand from the bedsheet and gripping it tightly. He’s saying something but all you can hear is the pounding of your heart in your ears – why’s it so loud?  Rei is panicking too - should he get Kazuki? No, he doesn’t want to leave you on your own, not even for a moment. If he shouts for him, that’ll wake Miri too, surely. He takes a breath himself and tries to repeat what Kazuki told him but it’s soon clear you’re not focusing on him at all, staring blankly ahead of you as your eyes are damp with tears. He thinks back to his training – his instructor used to put his hand over his to adjust his positioning on various weapons, so maybe that could work here too. Could he get you to feel how he’s breathing? He gets to his feet and climbs behind you in the bed. His long legs are now either side of you and he reaches forward, grabbing your hands in each of his. He pulls you back and into his chest and he squeezes your hand one, two, three, four times as you feel him inhale behind you, his chest expanding. He’s exaggerating the movements, hoping to get through to you. One, two, three, four, he counts with a squeeze as he holds the breath. Another one, two, three, four as he releases the breath and starts the sequence again. You close your eyes and just try and focus on the rise and fall of his chest, mimicking the motion, and on the squeezes of his hands on yours. You don’t know how long it takes – minutes, hours? – but your breaths become deeper and calmer once more, returning to almost normal as Rei continues holding you tight, squeezing and breathing.
“Feeling better?” His voice murmurs in your ear, his breath tickling your neck.
You nod. “T-thank y-you.”
“No problem.” He hesitates briefly, before letting go of your hands. You immediately grab hold of his left arm, pulling it around your stomach. He tenses for a second but relaxes soon after.
“D-don’t g-g-go. P-please.”
“I won’t.” He soothes, “I’ll stay as long as you need me to, okay?”
You squeeze his hand, taking a shuddering breath. “N-ni-nightmare.” You confide before Rei can ask. He leans his head on your shoulder, wrapping his other arm around you without prompt, leaning back into the pillows. “A-about t-the n-n-night my f-father died. F-father, he… H-he was s-saying m-my n-n-name but I c-couldn’t h-hear it.”
“That must be frustrating. I’m sorry.”
You sit for a few moments, enjoying the grounding feeling of being wrapped in his arms as you continue to breathe in sync. As your thoughts begin to rationalize, you remember what had occurred before you’d fallen asleep.
“W-what happened with M-Misaki?”
“She’s got cancer. She doesn’t think she has long left to live.”
“Oh, t-that’s aw-awful.”
“Mm. She wants to live out the rest of her life with Miri, live her life now for Miri.” A pause. “She said she knows about our line of work, and that if we truly care about Miri, then we’d do what’s best for her.”
“T-that’s not f-fair.” Rei doesn’t reply, musing over it in his head. “What d-does Zuki t-think?”
“He didn’t say much – he just went to bed. I don’t know what we should do.”
You wish you knew the right thing to say, but you don’t. You know Kazuki and Rei love and adore Miri, they’ve done nothing but good for her. You don’t know much about Misaki’s life, but Miri obviously adored her so she can’t have been a terrible mother. Then again, how could a mother send their little girl out alone…?
“S-sleep on it.” You suggest. “Everyone’s e-emotions a-are high. S-sleep w-will help.”
You feel him nod on your shoulder. “And you, will you be able to sleep?”
“I… I d-don’t k-know.” You bite your lip. “I… I don’t want you to go.”
“I won’t go. I told you, I’ll stay as long as you need me.”
You close your eyes.
--
The first conscious thought is there’s a sharp burst vibration on his right leg. It’s signaling a text. The second is he has his arms wrapped around you, spooning you into the wall and he’s in your bed. It’s pleasant – your breathing is steady and you feel so soft and warm… There’s another vibration against his leg. He carefully removes his arm from around you to retrieve his phone – his other one will have to remain trapped under your sleeping form for now.
He turns away as he unlocks the device, not wanting the light from it to cast on your face. It’s a number he doesn’t have saved, which makes his gut sink because it can only mean one thing.
Boss wants to see you – immediately.
It’s a little after 6am – Boss has always been an early riser. It hasn’t been that long since he last saw him on his birthday, but so much has happened in that time. He was meant to be tying up loose ends, but then you came along and… Well, dominated his thoughts.
Rei slides his arm out from under you but you abruptly turn, mumbling in your sleep. He freezes, he doesn’t want to wake you up because of the Boss of all things. He spots the plush lion and presses it under your arm. You sigh, squeezing it and your breathing returns to its steady state.
He know he’s stealthy – it was a large part of his training, after all - but it doesn’t feel right to get changed whilst you’re in the room. He gathers up the necessary pieces of his suit and heads towards the door, pausing briefly to glance back at you and smile.
He dresses in the bathroom, checking his appearance in the mirror as he ties up his hair. He puts a change of clothes in a bag – the suit’s been feeling more constrictive recently, and not due to Kazuki’s cooking, so he doesn’t want to wear it longer than necessary. He’s halfway to the front door when he turns back, finds a scrap of paper and leaves a note on the dining table.
Taken the car. Back later – Rei.

Warnings: just a little fight but mostly fluff
Tumblr media
It was a sunny summer day. The young girl was busy taking orders at the cafe where she worked. After the young girl gave the orders for table number 3, she smiled and walked to the counter. At that moment, the door opened and the small bell above the door rang.
Raoh and his team slowly moved to the empty table by the window and took 2 more chairs from the next table and sat down at the table. Binzo was full of energy as always, Mashii and Kamui were calm, Kansuke was watching around and Yamaguchi was chewing gum in his usual boredom. Raoh was trying to not look at the young girl.
This little cafe was not far from Suzuran.Raoh had come to this cafe with Kansuke in the early summer for a cold drink, and saw the young girl who worked here after school for the first time. And he was starting to feel those feelings that he didn't understand then, that he now knows as well as his name.
Raoh had been fascinated by the young girl's kindness and sweetness from the first time he saw her. That's why he started coming to this cafe often.
Although he didn't want to say anything to the others at first, he talked to Mashii and later told the others.
Raoh and his friends weren't as scary or serious as they seemed. They were of course laughing, joking, and teasing each other over petty things. But no one in this group made fun of Raoh about this situation.
They all knew about Raoh's difficult life and how sincere he was, so they wanted to give their friends full support. Also, they were all aware of how cute and well-intentioned the young girl was, so they thought she was the right person for their friend.
Smiling, the young girl approached the group of friends who comes here almost every day and heard their laughter every day, and stood in front of the table.
When the waitress girl, whose name they learned from the name card was y/n, came to the table, everyone calmly turned to her and ordered their ice cream.
When it was Raoh's turn, the young girl smiled and said, "Lemon and caramel, right? As usual?"
Everyone at the table was smiling as Raoh was surprised that the young girl remembered his favorite ice cream.Raoh smiled and nodded, and the young girl smiled wide.
"I'll bring your orders"
Raoh stared after her for a while as Y/n walked to the counter. Then he turned his gaze away, in case anyone saw his staring at the girl in the skirt and cafe uniform, they might think he's a pervert.
"Raoh, why don't you ask her out? She's pretty cute. Besides..."
Raoh turned to Mashii nervously.
"Besides what?"
"She looks like she likes you too."
The people at the table smiled as Raoh was surprised by what Mashii said. Binzo laughed and shook his head.
"Even I don't remember the order you made every day"
Yamaguchi nodded his head as everyone at the table laughed.
"Besides, you're Raoh.Who would reject you?"
Raoh became serious at what Yamaguchi said and shook his head.
"I'm sure she'll change her mind about me if she knows who I am."
"Huh? What does that mean now?"
Mashii knew exactly what he meant when Yamaguchi asked in surprise.
"The rumors about me aren't very nice. Also, take a look at her. She's kind, sweet and beautiful and fragile. I-"
Raoh thought she would hate him if she knew he was a delinquent. And his bad past and scary reputation didn't help at all. As he was about to explain this, he heard a voice across the table, and everyone at the table looked in that direction.
"I am a customer here!"
The man in his 20s at the table had shouted at the young girl. Raoh and the others had chosen not to react at the moment because they thought it was a normal, grumpy customer.
"I told you, sir, I'll be changing your order. Please lower your voice."
In fact, the situation was much different than it seemed. The problem of the young man and his friend was not that the dessert came wrong.
Raoh was silently watching the discussion. Everyone at the table was waiting to intervene in the slightest problem.
At that moment, the young man grabbed y/n's wrist, who wanted to leave the table, and Raoh and those at the table stood up. But something unexpected happened.
Realizing that she couldn't stay calm any longer, Y/n stabbed the fork into the table and glared at the man angrily.
"Let go of my wrist or I won't be calm any longer."
Raoh and her friends looked at the young girl in surprise. No one expected this cute girl to act like this. But Raoh was very pleased...
Y/n wasn't a violent person. She wouldn't fight, she wouldn't be rude. But she was definitely not one to keep quiet about injustice. So she couldn't ignore this man who was harassing her.
The man became even more enraged and stood up, squeezing the girl's wrist even tighter. It was then that Raoh realized he had to intervene.
Raoh interrupted the young girl's and the man's angry glances at each other, grabbing the man's arm hard.
"Let go of the lady's arm."
The man looked angrily at Raoh and laughed
"What happens if I don't?"
Raoh replied seriously and sternly
"I'll break that arm."
Raoh's stern demeanor frightened him a little. His friend at the table was watching what was going on silently. Raoh faction was waiting to intervene in the slightest problem.
The man removed his hand from the young girl's wrist. Y/n rubbed her red wrist and looked at Raoh and the man. Raoh was planning to leave without a fight, but the man was just looking for trouble.
As Y/n walked to the counter, the man said, "You're stupid enough to defend that little bitch, man," and Raoh punched him hard in the face. No one could talk like that about someone he cared about.Raoh shouted angrily and y/n turned around as soon as she heard the voice
"Watch your mouth! Now get the hell out of here!"
Raoh took a deep breath as the man fled from the cafe in fear. But when he turned around and saw y/n's scared face, he thought it was all over. He didn't know what to do.Actually, Y/n was just suprised. She wasn't afraid of him. But Raoh didn't know her well enough to read her reactions. So he got tense and nervously left the cafe. His friends looked at Raoh and the young girl in surprise. Then they all quickly left the cafe too.
****
"Raoh"
When Mashii called after Raoh, the young man stopped and turned to his friend. Yamaguchi was also with Mashii. But he chose to remain silent.
"Raoh, why did you leave without saying anything?"
Raoh closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Then he looked around and shook his head.
"I scared her. Did you see that look on her face? She was scared of me. She probably thinks I can hurt her, that I'm one of those delinquents."
Mashii knew very well what his friend was talking about. But he knew very well what he would say would be useless now, so he remained silent.
"I'm going home, Takehiko, I need to calm down a bit."
Mashii chose not to say anything as his friend left. He shook his head and started walking the way he had come.
***
A few days had passed since the incident. Raoh hadn't been to school much during this period. Besides Suzuran's daily events, there was no problem.
Mashii left school in the afternoon and took the road to the orphanage to meet with Raoh. He took a cigarette from his pocket, put one between his lips, and took out his lighter to light it. But before he turned the corner, someone appeared infront him.
Mashii looked at the young girl standing in front of him in surprise. He took his cigarette in his hand before he lit it.The girl in the cafe, y/n, was in front of him and was looking at him nervously.
"Excuse me, Mashii-san right?"
Mashii nodded and raised one eyebrow.
"I... I'm so sorry to bother you. But I want to talk to him."
When Mashii realized who the young girl meant, he smiled and nodded his head. Seeing him softening, the young girl slowly moved towards him.
"Im y/n... y/n l/n."
Mashii bowed slightly as the young girl bowed slightly.
"Nice to meet you l/n-san. I think you already know me."
He lit his cigarette and Y/n smiled
"You can say y/n. And yes... uhm... i found out you were from Suzuran when someone was talking from that day on. And your names. I've been waiting here to find you."
Mashii laughed and shook his head
"I wish we had met better way but I guess it's not that bad huh?"
Y/n smiled and nodded. Then she asked the question that was on her mind.
"Raoh-san... I wanted to thank him... i mean I still want. That's why I'm here. But I never saw him again."
"I can say he hasn't been around much for a while."
Y/n asked scared
"Did something happen to him?"
Mashii smiled and shook his head
"No, it's not like that y/n-san. But before you talk to him, there are a few things I want you to know."
After giving information about Raoh's life, Raoh's thoughts and why they went that way that day, Mashii gave the address of the orphanage to the young girl.
"It's up to you to go or not, y/n-san. But I hope you understand me."
Y/n smiled and nodded. Of course she was gonna go...
***
Raoh was playing with his younger siblings in the garden of the orphanage. The younger kids loved to play with their big brother and their giggles could be heard throughout the garden.
Y/n watched them from afar for a while. Raoh looked quite happy with the little children. Moreover, instead of his usual serious expression, he had a very sweet, peaceful expression on his face right now.
Raoh felt that someone was watching him and turned around. He looked confused at the young girl standing a few meters ahead of him.
Y/n waved with a smile and stepped towards the tall boy. Meanwhile, the 2 little girls around Raoh were looking at y/n with admiration. Y/n looked at them and smiled broadly.
"Nee-san is so beautiful!"
Y/n chuckled at what the little girl said while the other little girl tugged on Raoh's jacket
"Onii-chan is nee-san your girlfriend?"
As Raoh looked at the little girl in surprise, y/n laughed and held out the bag in her hand.
"I bought candies for the kids, would this be a problem?"
Raoh gathered himself, took the extended bag and shook his head. He handed the bag to the little girls.
"Take this and eat it with your siblings okay? I'll be right back."
"Okay onii-chan!"
As the little girls spoke at the same time, y/n chuckled and watched them go inside. Raoh was still in shock.Y/n noticed this and smiled and thought that she should be the first to speak.
"I... well... hello."
Realizing that she didn't know what to say and was being silly, she smiled shyly and Raoh thought he should react properly now.
"Hii, how are you ?"
"I am good, you ?"
"I'm a little confused"
Y/n laughed and shook her head.
"I came to say thank you."
Raoh had so many questions he wanted to ask. How did she find this place?  Why had she come? She also brought candy for the kids, which was very sweet. He wanted to scream, but he also knew how funny he looked on the outside right now.
"Thanks? For what?"
"That day-"
Raoh nervously replied
"I'm sorry about that day. I didn't mean to scare you-"
Y/n waved her hands nervously
"No no. You didn't scare me. I... Okay, I'll tell you all over again. I asked Mashii-san about you and he told me everything. That you're here and… I'm not afraid of you, Raoh. I never thought you'd hurt me either. That day... I just wanted to thank you for protecting me."
Raoh nervously replied
"Someone like me-"
"You're a wonderful person, Raoh-san. Really. I... I want to smile every time I look at you. My day is better every time you walk through the door of the cafe. I realize we don't know each other very well, but I want to get to know you. Because I like you."
Y/n smiled as Raoh's eyes widened
"I don't think my feelings are unrequited. But if you may approve of me-"
"Me too. I like you too."
Although Raoh was suddenly surprised by what she said and said this without even thinking, y/n smiled broadly. And took a package out of her bag.
"I think you like things with lemon. That's why I wanted to buy this cupcake for you."
Raoh certainly didn't know what to say anymore when the young girl held out the cake in her hand. Y/n was also surprised when he excitedly took the cake and hugged the young girl. But she smiled and hugged the young boy's waist.
Raoh shyly averted his eyes as he realized what he had done and quickly stepped back.
"I'm sorry-"
"I like that. You're so tall and it feels... safe and warm."
Raoh laughed too at what Y/n said with a laugh
"We... Can I take you on a date?"
Y/n smiled and nodded
"Can we have a picnic?"
Raoh smiled big and shook his head. How could he say no to her?

• with his well built and muscular figure, i say good luck in escaping from his arms during cuddle sessions. • most especially when you woke up first and you want to get out of the bed. even just one lift of your muscle, rao's eyes will immediately flutter open and you're being scooped back to bed. • house husband rao!!! but that's saved for another headcanon yes. • always has an arm around your shoulders or waist, but mostly around your waist! • prior to dating, he talks to Mercy a lot about you - gushing about how pretty you looked today with a new hairstyle or how pretty you looked smiling while with friends. • takes you to the orphanage of where he grew up and fondly recalls some of the memories. • not only is he very protective around children, he's very much protective around you as well. if anything, he detests violence and doesn't want you getting mixed up with suzuran's or his factions business. • not in the mood to workout with him? it's fine! he'll use you as his weights when exercising - cling on his back or have you underneath him when doing push ups, have you stand above his head when lifting weights and all! • he loves physical dates because it allows him to show you how strong he can be. like going out for a bowling and air hockey! • given his cold nature, he gives off as intimidating to others but he's a puppy through and through with you! fights are very rare and avoids conflict at all costs! but if disagreement arises between you two, then he'll try and understand where you're coming from. • doesn't get jealous too often. he trusts you and he trusts that no one from his faction will do anything bad or funny to you. but if anyone else in suzuran were to make a move on you, you best believe that he'll grab them by the back of their head and toss them away from your sight. • i honestly cannot help but say that rao is going to become a great and proper dad figure to his kid. as someone who's been abandoned the moment he is born, he'll never let his child / children feel like they aren't loved by him. • whatever ever he does, he always asks for your opinion. it could be asking you which between going to the city or to the countryside would you prefer when going on vacation, which ice cream flavor do you like best or do you prefer bathing with cold water or hot water. it also helps him get to know you more a little deeper in a sense! • has a whole album gallery of you on his phone. doesn't let anyone in on it. • his favorite spot to kiss you? the top of your head! have i mentioned it's because given his tall stature and he can't help but find your small height as cute size? now you know! • will never let you be the big spoon. • a dom. is very gentle and makes sure to put your needs on top of his. • calls you "baby", "babe" or "bunny". • prior to dating you, he doesn't have any dating experience. but he makes it a goal to always make sure you're happy and comfortable with him. • would probably be the first to say ily!
