Its... comforting to know my experience is similar to someone else’s. I also grew up obsessing over growing up and being a woman and finally having boobs and such. But now THOSE THINGS are what I hate about myself 😭 am I NB? Am I trans? I have no clue but I know for sure I ain’t a woman (exclusively.....?) I decided to really put thought in to how a few of my characters would feel about Teldrasil, so if anyone cares I’ll have the how and a bit of why underneath~

Doneth, Nightborne Rogue: SUPER not happy about all of this. After everything that happened in Surumar, and the fact that the alliance had just as much of a hand in saving it as the Horde did, it feels very deeply wrong to have set the world tree on fire and killing so many innocent people. Even if he thinks Tyrande is a bitch, mass killing civilians in intolerable

Riavorin, Night elf Mage: Absolutely devastated by the burning of Teldrasil and the loss of life. Fire has taken away a LOT of things in his life. His family and now Teldrasil, all gone. The only things really keeping him from throwing himself in to the Alliance military is his crippling depression, laziness, and his adopted son (Rast). He’s always been a fire mage ic, but I think after all the loss of life to fire he’s probably ready to give it up and become frost... not sure on that yet though.

Rastarian, Blood elf Paladin: HORRIFIED. He’s a healer who’s helped the Alliance many times before. He saved Ria many years ago, healed a few stray Alliance soldiers in Warlords, and offered his abilities to help save lives on the Broken Shore. He ran himself ragid in Legion to help both Alliance and Horde and can’t imagine why they’d be fighting now. He met enough Alliance to know they’re not terrible people.

Mirodis, High elf Death Knight: Absolutely pissed. Under the control of the lich king he killed a LOT of innocent people, he’s seen the Horde and Alliance work together so many times before, and just on a moral level he hates the Alliance vs Horde bullshit. He wants more for the Horde than this.

I know a lot of this is just me hating the Alliance vs Horde narrative personally, and I am happy to admit that. The only one of these characters who became a thing after the announcement of BFA was Doneth, so his is 100% just me being not okay with it. The other characters are around 3 years old by now and never liked the conflict to begin with, so it’s not me changing them with the new expansion.

I'm pretty sure the male:female gamer ratio is pretty close to balanced these days, which honestly makes the fact that we still deal with this bullshit even more depressing

i always feel like it’s getting that way but then i remember that i pretty much exclusively stick to RP communities which tend to be a lot more balanced with women being the more vocal community members. 

the male:female ratio of gaming in general is pretty 50:50 these days but MMOs, MOBAs and FPS games are still a sausagefest outside of their RP communities, with women tending to favor single-player games (i wonder why lmao)

oof wow!! i can’t believe 2018 is coming to an end. it’s been just over a year now since i started this blog, and tbh it’s been such a life changing experience. so i wanted to take the time, before the year is over ( for me anyway, i’m sure it’s already 2019 for some of you!! ) to really say thank you. i’ve meet so many amazing people and i feel so, so blessed to just.. be a part of this fandom. i’ve never felt so at home.

Meet Chloe Jaqardi. She’s an African American police officer who just turned 30, is a little pudgy, wears her hair in a twist-out, and she recently saw some very weird shit. She’s the main character in a novella I’m currently writing (meaning I think about it a lot), and the setting is modern fantasy, titled Unintended Consequences. She’ll wind up being recruited to track down magical items that are being misused by normal humans who acquired them because they’re backfiring, or from members of the secret world of magic who are planning some serious evil. She’s an exciting project that I wish I had more time for.

28. What kind of nervous habits do they have? Do they stim? Do they have any kinds of addictions?

Mirodis has a few nervous habbits, actually. He mimics what other people are doing or repeat what they’re saying when he’s nervous or just meeting them. He also straightens his eyebrow sometimes. When he’s by himself and feeling nervous he’ll tap on his armor hard so he can hear the sound of his gloves hitting the metal. Overall he’s got the most nervous habits of all of my characters tbh. I’m not sure about addictions though.

29. If they could choose their epitaph for their grave, what would they choose?

This is a fun one because he actually HAS a grave. His mom had one made for him a number of years after he went missing. It says:

“Here lies Mirodis Starseeker.

Though his body was never found, may his soul rest in peace.”

But if he did die again, like, for really real not coming back a third time he’d want something that talks about how much he enjoyed his second chance at life and getting a chance to meet his brother, met the love of his life, and build a new life he could be proud of, and how he fought with every ounce of his being to protect his family and their planet.
