You were sitting in your room by your lonesome as you quietly sipped your tea. You wore an elegant kimono draped over your white one, as you rested on your bedding. The candle was the only light source in the darkened room. You sighed to yourself, as you soaked in the gentle aroma of your tea.
Your strength has come back, and you’ve been able to manage around the castle on your own, but you preferred Kohaku’s ever-sweet presents with you. You smiled as you thought of him, he was such a sweet boy. The sound of a light knocking against the shogi doors brought you from your thoughts, and you looked over at them. “Come in.” You said.
The gentle voice of Kohaku sounded through and your smile spread. He slid open the doors and you smiled sweetly at him. He smiled in return as he placed a tray with food on the floor of your room, before he moved to close the door behind him. “Good evening, Kohaku. How are you?” You kindly asked him. He smiled as he walked to you with the tray. “I’ve been well, Miss (Y/N). I’ve just been busy around the castle is all.” He answered kindly as he moved to sit before you. You smiled at his answer, as you watched him place your tray before you. “I’m pleased to hear that. Thank you, Kohaku.” You kindly said.
“It’s no problem at all, Miss (Y/N).” He replied as he sat with his knees tucked under him. You smiled at him before you looked down at your food, it wasn’t anything special, just a bowl of rice, a grilled fish, and two boiled eggs. You looked up at him in question. “Are you hungry, Kohaku?” You asked him. His eyes widen some at your question. “Umm, I am a little hungry, but I’ll eat later.” He said with a sheepish smile. You gave him a concerned look before you picked up a boiled egg and you offered it to him.
“Here, eat this, and once you’re done you can have some rice too.” You said. He shook his head as he held his hand up. “Oh no, I can’t. That’s for you Miss (Y/N).” He said. Your face went stern as you pushed the boiled egg toward his hand. “I understand that, but you work so hard around here, you deserve a well-earned break, so please eat.” You pleaded with a stern voice. He stared at you with a worried look before he looked down at the egg and he sighed in defeat before he took the egg.
You smiled in triumph as you picked up the bowl of rice. “Once you’ve finished your egg, you may eat some rice too.” You said. He nodded as he took a bite from the egg. You smiled tenderly at him, happy to see him eating. He devoured his egg quickly before he greedily picked up the bowl of rice and he began shoving it down his throat. You smiled fondly at him as you picked up your tea cup and you moved to hand it to him. “Here, drink something before you choke.” You said with a slight chuckle.
He stopped eating the rice, as his face flushed red with embarrassment. He placed the bowl down and he took the cup of tea. You smiled sweetly at him as you watched him eat your whole meal. But you didn’t mind. ‘He’s such a hard worker, he takes his job so seriously till he doesn’t even eat much.’ You thought. You smiled to yourself in thought as you looked down at your lap. ‘He’s such a sweet boy, he reminds me of Inuyasha when he was a young boy.’ You thought.
Your eyes suddenly flashed worriedly as you looked off to your side. ‘I hope he's fairing well. I know he's strong but I can't but worry.' You thought. Your cheeks suddenly warmed as you thought of the young lord of the castle. 'It’ll come as an unwelcoming surprise if he finds out that I’ve fallen in love with the young lord of this house.’ You thought worriedly. ‘But maybe he won’t mind so much, after all, he’s a half-demon just like himself.’ You thought hopefully.
The sound of wooden dishes being placed down made you snap from your thoughts and you smiled at Kohaku as he let out a contented sigh. “Ah! That hit the spot.” He said as he rubbed his stomach. You chuckled at him sweetly. “I’m glad that you enjoyed it, I hope you eat more often like this, Kohaku. I worry for you.” You said. He smiled at you. “I’ll try, Miss (Y/N).” He promised. You smiled as you nodded at him.

Inuyasha and the group were moving quickly through the woods. Inuyasha had recently caught the scent of Oak Trees and Miasma, and he immediately jumped into action and everyone followed. Kagome was forced to ride on Kirara since Inuyasha just suddenly took off, but she couldn’t blame him, his mom was in danger. If her mom was in the same predicament, she'd do the same thing. It was a pretty silent chase, not much could be said about the situation at hand.
Inuyasha’s solid focus was on keeping the scent as he ran and glided through the forest. ‘Don’t worry Mom, I’m coming to save you.’ He determinedly thought. He blinked in shock and confusion when a familiar scent rolled through. He looked towards his right, and he looked towards his left, but he didn’t see anything. ‘Why do I smell Sesshomaru nearby?’ He thought in confusion as he continued his chase.
Sango, Miroku, Kagome, and Shippo all sat in silence as they followed Inuyasha from above on Kirara. Kirara suddenly growled in warning as she looked back causing everyone else to react. “What’s the matter, Kirara?” Sango asked in concern as she looked at her companion. “What’s wrong, Sango?” Miroku asked as he looked around at Sango.
She looked back at him in confusion and worry. “I don’t know, but Kirara is reacting to something.” She explained worriedly, her eyes trailed passed everyone and her eyes widen. “Huh? What’s he doing here?” She asked in confusion. Everyone looked at her in question before they all followed her gaze behind them. Their eyes widen when they noticed that they were being trailed.
“What in the world?” Miroku asked in shock. “It’s Sesshomaru!?” Kagome called out loudly in confusion. Her voice caused Inuyasha to look back and he narrowed his sight on Sesshomaru. 'There he is. I knew I smelled him.' Inuyasha thought. Sesshomaru was flying behind the group, his impassive face dead set as he shot through the sky like a comet. “What’s he doing here?” Shippo asked in a frightened voice. “I’m not sure, but it probably has something to do with (Y/N).” Mirkou said.
“He must be following the same scent as Inuyasha.” Kagome said. Sesshomaru paid them no mind as he sped past them, the speed at which he traveled caused a whipping wind to pass by the group. They all closed their eyes as they hung on tightly to one another so as to not be blown away. Kirara growled in struggle as she fought against the powerful winds that pushed her back causing her to fall back some. “KIRARA!! ARE YOU OKAY!?” Sango yelled in worried as she felt Kirara give slightly under the wind.
Inuyasha growled in worry as he watched his friends struggle against the winds before he glared over at Sesshomaru. “What the hell are you doing, Sesshomaru? If it’s anyone who's going to take out Naraku, it’s going to be me.” He declared as he ran, keeping up with Sesshomaru's speed. Sesshomaru said nothing, as he kept focus on the sight in front of him. His eyes were glossed over with rage as he practically ignored Inuyasha. Inuyasha’s annoyed stare turned into a confused one before his glare softened some before he looked ahead of himself once more.
“Listen, I get it, you’re upset about Mom getting taken by that creep, but we’ll get her back.” Inuyasha said, trying to comfort Sesshomaru while also reassuring himself. He was feeling rather antsy, he was honestly nervous about it all. Sesshomaru glanced over at Inuyasha for a second before he looked back ahead. “Hmph, that woman is of no concern to me. I am simply here to defeat Naraku.” He scoffed. Inuyasha scoffed in return. “Huun, don’t give me that load of crap, you’re just as worried as I am, face it Sesshomaru, you’re here to save mom just like I am.” Inuyasha said. Sesshomaru scowled but he didn’t say anything in return.
The group flew behind the brothers, listening to the two as they conversed. “So, Sesshomaru knows of (Y/N)’s abduction.” Miroku noted. Sango nodded before she looked back at him. “Yes, but I’m not sure how, unless Kagura spoke to him just as she did to us.” She said. Miroku nodded. “Yes, that would make the most sense. Kagura needs as many people as she can get to help her obtain her freedom.” He said.
Sango nodded in agreement. Kagome looked down at the brothers with a thoughtful look. “Yeah, but how did Kagura know that she had any kind of connections to Sesshomaru?” She asked. They both looked back at her in shock. “That’s a good question.” Sango said. Miroku nodded. “It is, it does hold some concern. I now wonder how much of what Kagura told us was true.” He said as he thought over what Kagura told them a few nights ago.
“Yes, like if this Kusho Pearl even exists.” Sango agreed. Kagome spoke up. “I think it does.” She said. They both looked back at her in question. “Oh? How do you figure?” Sango asked. “Well, if she was lying, she wouldn’t of have sounded so hopeful. Don’t forget, she wants Naraku dead just as much as we do.” She said. Miroku nodded. “That’s true, she would have no reason to lie about the Pearl then.” He confirmed. “The question that now remains, is how did she know that (Y/N) even had any sort of connections to Sesshomaru.” Sango said. Everyone grew silent as they thought it over to themselves.

In the rocky mountains, a group of wolves could be seen running along with Ginta and Hakkaku, they were all breathing heavily as they ran through the mountains that lead towards the woods. “KOGA!!” Ginta yelled in exhaustion. “WAIT...FOR US!!!” Hakkaku yelled as they both tiredly jogged. They could see a twister that was a few yards away from them before it vanished into the woods.
They came to a stop, as they leaned over, their hands on their knees as they caught their breaths. “What’s got him… so wired up?” Hakkaku panted. “I don’t know… something about Naraku maybe.” Ginta panted. Koga ran ahead, a determined glare on his face as he charged through the forest. ‘Naraku, you bastard. I’ve finally caught a whiff of your disgusting scent. You’re mine this time.’ He thought as he raced through the forest. In the sky,
Kagura floated on her feather, as she stared down in wonder. ‘So Koga is in on the hunt too is he? I wasn’t expecting this, but the more the merrier as they say. With Naraku’s sudden change in plan, this is perfect.’ She thought, pleased with the outcome. ‘I was about to change tactics, but this should work out just fine.’ She thought before she flew off in the same direction that Koga was heading in. ‘With this amount of people, we might just have a chance to actually defeat Naraku.’ She thought as her eyes gleamed in unpromised triumph.

In Naraku’s castle, the Kusho Pearl gleamed a dark purple aura, the Jewel shard reacting in kind as it shined its own pure aura. Elsewhere in the castle, Kohaku walked with you down the many halls of the castle. “This castle is ever so gloomy.” You suddenly stated. Kohaku nodded in agreement. “It truly is.” He said. You sighed as you stared at the darkened hall before you. “I wonder, if perhaps the young lord will allow me to decorate the walls with some life?” You pondered aloud.
Kohaku looked over at you with a kind smile. “It’s hard to say, but it doesn’t hurt to ask him.” He said, as he encouraged you. You smiled over at him. “Ask me what?” Came Naraku's smooth voice. You both looked forward, seeing Naraku walking down the hall towards you both, Kanna walked behind him silently, her mirror shining a white light before it went back to being a reflective surface.
Kohaku straightened up in slight nervousness while your cheeks warmed and you bowed your head bashfully. “Oh, um..well my Lord. I was wondering...” You said shyly before you tailed off. Naraku stared at you for a moment before he walked forward toward you. He stopped before you, his socks coming into your field of vision but you didn’t look up. “I’m sorry, but I can’t quite hear you. You’ll have to speak up some, Milady.” He said politely.
You slowly looked up at him bashfully. “Well… I was just speaking to Kohaku, and I wanted to know if that, I perhaps could decorate the castle some.” You said shyly. He stared down at you, his eyes studied you with question before he smiled kindly. “You may, but what did you have in mind?” He asked. He honestly could care less, but he had to make your heart swoon for him completely.
You beamed up at him happily before you began to give him a list of ideas. He watched you intensely, not really focusing on what you were saying. He focused on the familiar aura of Onigumo’s aura that was leaking from you. It grew some since he last saw you. ‘Ah, so my plan is working after all, is it? I thought that perhaps it wouldn’t take hold, but alas, her half-human heart soaked in that ridiculous emotion like a sponge.”
He gave a small smirk in triumph as he ‘listened’ to your ideas for the castle. ‘Inuyasha will be most ‘pleasantly’ surprised when he discovers that his mother is loyal to me. Her heart beats for me, just as strongly as it does for him.’ He thought, as he placed his hand gently against the small of your back, leading you along with him as he nodded to your silly ideas. Kohaku stared after the two of your figures in concern for your well-being.
Kanna walked slowly pass him, as she kept up with Naraku. Kohaku looked over at her, watching as she slowly passed by him. He sighed before he decided to follow as well. The darkness of the castle swallowed you all, as your happy voice carried out through the darkness of the castle.

Hello! If requests are open, can I get Mirko with a shy gn reader that has an eldritch horror quirk? Basically the “he asked for no pickles” meme but with this giant abyss creature hiding trying to hide behind their bunny gf
This is an amazing idea
Mirkou x Reader With an Eldritch Horror Quirk
Tumblr media
When Mirkou first met you, you came off as someone very shy and unassuming
She found that endearing, it drew her to you
She was curious about your quirk, but didn't want to come off as pushy by asking about it constantly
Eventually, when you started dating, you finally showed her your quirk
While most people found it scary, she honestly found it cool
It made her admire her more
Though she also knew that despite you're powerful quirk, you were still very shy
So, when it came to most situations in your relationship, she would take the lead
She would often tease you about it, in a loving way of course
Mirkou adores you and your powerful quirk

Hello everyone, sorry that I have not been uploading lately. I was doing stories for the AU days of @inuvember event Inuvember 2023. This Industrial Age AU is a explanation of my MirSan week 2023 Iron entry featuring other Inuyasha characters such as Inuyasha and Kagome.
The county has enter a age of Industrial revolution, with farmers going to the cities to work in these factories for pay. Some parts of the countryside changed as hard working men left their families for the big cities, hoping to earn enough money to finance a better future for their loved ones. Our story begins in the home of these families, whose has been given a letter.
Kagome’s mother read the letter and, with a heavy heart, said to Kagome, “It’s your cousin Kikyo. She has sadly passed away two days ago. Her father, your uncle, has ask that you come for her funeral.”
On the train, Kagome sit down across a woman older than her by a few years dressed in purple and said, “I’m sorry, but it is okay if I sit here.” The woman have black hair in a ponytail and she reply, “It’s alright.” As Kagome sit down across the woman, the older woman ask, “First time?” Kagome nod, “Yes. Can you blame me?” The woman said, “Well, I understand. In the past years, I took the train with my father to deliver the food from our farm to sell on the markets. Now, I’m going to work in one of these cotton mills. I’m surprised that it is one of the works available for women in this day and age.” The woman introduced herself, “My name is Sango.” Kagome introduced herself, “Kagome. My name is Kagome Higurashi.”
Kagome step out of the train station and into the big city. She become taken in of the tall buildings and the crowd of people in the roads.
Kagome bump into a little boy with brown hair in a ponytail wearing a turquoise shirt and she said to the kid, “I’m sorry, young man. I should have been watching where I was going.” The boy seems nervous for some reason before he run off, which was odd for Kagome. Almost, for a moment, Kagome see that the boy have a fox tail. As Kagome reach into her pockets for her uncle address, she find that her pockets are empty. Kagome quickly realized that the boy pickpocket her. She then set off after the little thief, while Sango take a carriage to the cotton mill.
Kagome chase the small thief to a alleyway and to a gang of young men and women. As they gathered around Kagome, she understand right away that she made a mistake and start saying, “Hello.... sorry to bother you all, but I was just looking for my watch.” Kagome hope that she can talk her way out of this as she said, “I must be going now.” The gang however grab her and drag her away.
Elsewhere in the city, the steelworks of the cotton mill amazed Sango, as she never imagined such machines during her time in the countryside. Sango come to the big city to get a job in the cotton mill to support her family, and is being given a tour for the factory she will be working at. Haraiya, the woman whose is giving Sango the tour of the factory, walk up to her and said to Sango, “Hey! Get your head out of the clouds, girl! The foreman wouldn’t hire a girl that would her day looking around and not doing any work.” Sango said right away, “I’m sorry. I was lost in my own thoughts.”
Outside the factory, Sango see a crowd gather before a man in fine blue clothes on a stage calling out to them, “That’s right, folks! Mirkou’s miracle cure can help cure all of your illnesses!” Sango realized that he could be a seller man as he hold out a bottle for the crowd to see and continue, “My miracle cure can eliminate muscle pains, headaches, diseases, and even the plague! However, since this is a rare item among cures, I have to change it at a high price, folks!” The crowd groans ask Miroku said, “I know, I know, folks! But you must ask yourself this question, folks! The question is not would I afford to have it, but the question is would I afford to not have it?”
Just then, a voice among the crowd cry out, “You lie, Miroku!” The crowd disbursed to a big man whose look angry at Miroku as the man in blue clothes ask, “Good sir, what was that you just said? Who do you even think you are?” The big man walk in front of Miroku and said out loud for all to hear, “I’m just someone whose was foolish enough to buy his so call miracle cure. When my daughter was sick, I buy with all I have save for that miracle cure, only for her to die days later.” Upset about this while the crowd begins to talk among themselves, Miroku said to the man, “I.... I’m greatly sorry for your loss, sir. I.... I only wanted to sell my cure to workers....” and the big man shout, “NOW YOU ARE SORRY FOR YOUR LIES!” Taking the bottle from Miroku’s hand, the big man shout, “I TOOK YOUR MIRACLE CURE TO A DOCTOR AND HE TOLD ME THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR FALSE MIRACLE CURE! IT’S NOTHING! IT’S JUST TEA!” The man smash the bottle in the ground as the crowd become anger that they were almost tricked as Miroku said to the angry crowd gathering around her in a effort to defend himself, “True that it is actually tea, but it can help with the pain of working for hours....” before he is thrown on the ground and the men start kicking him. Despite her best judgment, Sango rush toward the crowd and shout, “Stop it!”
In this office, the owner of the cotton mill Kagewaki Hitomi look at the crowd as they start to disband. He now run this cotton mill to be in power, and the more time that the workers waste are more money he lost.
Back to Kagome, whose is bring by the gang to a building, possibly their hideout as there is a butch of them gathered. One of them said, “Hey, boss! This girl want to take on us!” Kagome look up and was surprise that the gang leader is a young man wearing a red vest with long white hair and dog ears. Looking at Kagome with the look of a unimpressive boy, the gang leader ask her, “Who the heck are you?” Kagome reply as she look at him, “My name is Kagome Higurashi. You stole some belongings of mine.” The young man turn to the boy and ask him, “Shippo? Did you steal from this girl?” The boy, Shippo, nervous said, “Y-Yes, Inuyasha. I did steal for her.” Kagome become worried for Shippo’s fate until Inuyasha simple yell, “Damn it, Shippo! I know your size make you our best pick pocket, but your clothes give yourself away!” Shippo reply, “These clothes are all I have to wear!”
Kagome left the gang territory as she wonder, ‘They were different from what I imagined thugs to be like. They were acting more like a dysfunctional family.’ Kagome shake her head and walk to her uncle’s address.
After some time, Kagome has finally arrived at her uncle place.
In another part of the city, A young woman with black hair enter a house and introduced herself to a old maid, “My name is Rin. I’m here for the help wanted ad for a new maid on the papers.” The old maid said, “Ah yes. Come in.” As Rin enter, the old maid introduced herself, “My name is Kaede. I’m the head maid of the house. The master has two sons who are young men, both for separate wives.”
As Kaede and Rin enter the study, the young woman is a bit surprised that two men in the study at the moment has white hair and golden eyes. The old maid said to the men, “Master Toga. Young master. This is Rin. She is here for the maid job.” The men look at Rin and the older man said, “Ah, I see you have arrived. I’m Toga, the master of the house.” Toga then introduced the other man in the room, “This is my older son, Sesshomaru.” Rin was awe that Sesshomaru look handsome.
As they walk in the hall, a young man just then burst inside the house and Rin can see that he has the same white hair and golden eyes as the masters and wearing a red vest. With a upset tone, Sesshomaru said to the man, “Ah, you are back home, brother.” Rin was surprised that this man is a member of the family as he don’t look rich as well he has dog ears. Kaede said to the young man, “Master Inuyasha, you know not to bring mud on the floor.” Inuyahsa said to Kaede, “I can do what I want, granny!” He give his family a look as she head upstairs.
In the kitchen, Kaede said to Rin, “Poor Inuyasha lost his mother when he was a boy. The tragic lost have place a huge impact on Inuyasha. He become something of a rebel as Master Toga try to educate his sons so that they would have a life in our preset society.”
As night falls, Kagome finish dressing in her pajamas and ready to call it a night, tired by what happened in her first day. Her meeting with Inuyasha does made Kagome wonder about the crooks of this city, like if they are like Inuyasha’s gang or different.
In a apartment room, Sango is helping Miroku with his injuries as she said to him, “You should have think twice of stealing from hard working men, sir.” Miroku groan as Sango put alcohol on a wound, “I only thought it was only fair, give that they have to work hard while those like me couldn’t find a simple job.” A bit annoyed at his answers, Sango ask Miroku, “Is it because you are lazy, sir?” Miroku didn’t reply to Sango’s question.

InuKag Week 7: Time
The Age of Love
Summary: Kagome worries over her ever growing age and beauty as the love of her life seems fruitful. This fic is based on the difficult design that Kagome can’t cross the well again and that she is a regular human.
Tumblr media
She could see it in her eyes. Fine lines at the ends and under her eyes. Her eyebrows furrowed but she quickly rubbed between them not wanting to promote anymore wrinkles.
Kagome sighed as she place down her handheld mirror. She looked around her hut. It was quite large, two extra rooms were added years go to hold her ever growing family. She was happy. Kagome never thought she’d be right where she is now before she met Inuyasha. Even after she had met him, destroyed the Sacred Jewel, and accepted that she fell in love with him, Kagome never thought that her life would be where it was at the very moment in time.
During her three years of high school and not being able to go down the well, Kagome wasn’t herself. She was happy to be back with her family. She was able to watch Souta grow taller than her and help him with girl troubles. She was able to study properly and pass her tests just as she would years before. She also cooked with her mother in the kitchen and help her grandfather around the shrine. Kagome should have been happy back in her regular time and she was, but she also wasn’t. Just as she had missed her friends from school while she was away, she missed her friends from the past even more. She spent months with them, traveling together and bonding as family does. As much as Kagome wanted to be back in Inuyasha’s arms, she wasn’t sure if she would ever be able to. Kagome avoided the topic of her ‘bad boy boyfriend’ with her present day friends as much as she could. She couldn’t bare not being able to see him and her friends were inadvertently rubbing salt in her wounded heart.
And then she felt it. The day the well, it had called to her, telling her now or never. That day she hugged her family for the last time. She kissed them and cried out of joy and sorrow. She wasn’t sure if she’d ever see them again just as her family on the other side. Her mother, the woman who was always there for her was there again. A small smile graced her face and Kagome knew it was okay. When Kagome jumped down that well and the beautiful light engulfed her, there was no turning back. Twenty-two years later, as her heart ached for her family after every child she had, never able to see their grandmother, uncle, or great grandfather, she would still not regret her decision.
Kagome tried her best to keep take of the days and months as time went by, but due to February and it’s shortened months and long months, she was sure to be off by some weeks. Also living in the rough Warring States Era didn’t help keep track of the calendar she grew up knowing. Moon phases and seasons aside,  Kagome was sure if it. Today was her birthday. On this day, twenty-five years ago, she had turned fifteen years old and met Inuyasha. So today and this ‘not so technical year’, she turned forty.
Kagome quickly dressed herself, not wanting to waste anymore daytime she had since she slept in from the last nights previous work. Wearing her traditional priestess garb of a red hamaka and white hoari.  and carrying her woven basket she set her destination towards her herbs in the garden behind her home. Since the season typically called for wet weather Kagome knew that the village people will be coming to her for colds and allergies pertaining to the new season.
“Oh, I also have to start planting my new herbs for the summer.” Kagome spoke to herself as she looked around her garden.
Inuyasha was already there, sweating as the sun's warm rays touched his forearms. His fire-rat haori out of sight while the sleeves to his kosode were non-traditionally tied behind him. Inuyasha’s long white hair was tied in a high ponytail to keep out of his days work as he held a shovel in both hands to dig away at the ground, ready to plant new crops for the season. Since it was springtime, the sun was able to shine its rays to warm the earth, but the wind still blew cold around them, producing a good mix of temperature.
“Good morning Inuyasha.” Kagome beamed at him, he turned around dropping his shovel.
“Good morning Kagome.” He said routinely. He quickly walked to her giving her a kiss on the lips. She kissed back, but shied away too fast for his liking.
“Why did you let me sleep in so much?” Kagome hit his chest playfully her eyes never leaving his.
Inuyasha smirked at her attempt.
“Come on Kagome, you had a sudden and late matter last night from a villager. You stayed up late making a remedy and making sure the kid’s fever went down. The least I could do was let you gain back the sleep you lost.” He heard Kagome sigh lowly and quickly give a short snort of a laugh.
“Yeah I guess you’re right.”
“Aren’t I always?” Inuyasha smirked notoriously as he reached back down to pick up his shovel. It may have been a little over twenty years since Kagome met the man, but he could always keep that same smile.
“Besides, you should be allowed to sleep in on your birthday regardless.” His back was to her as he went back to sowing the garden, but he could still see the smile that filled her face.
“Yes, thank you.” Was all she said.
Kagome took a few steps to the left of their miniature field towards the above ground herb garden she had Inuyasha make many years ago. She started humming absentmindedly as Inuyasha continued to strike the ground. Kagome’s hums along with the surrounding birds singing filled the air around them. It was peaceful and quaint, tranquility at its finest. A little too quiet for having four children.
“Oh!” She thought suddenly, “where are the kids?” Her cheeks flushed as she wondered why she didn’t think about her own children sooner.
“Ah,” Inuyasha still worked as he spoke, his voice louder than normal so she was sure to hear him over the grinding in the dirt. “They all went to Sango and Miroku’s.”  He stopped his maneuvers to turn and look at his wife. One eyebrow arched, she egged him on for more details.
Inuyasha sighed under his breath.
“Kyo and Izayoi went out with the twins to exterminate a demon in the east mountains, it’s not too far, they should be back by tomorrow morning.  And the other two are out training with Shippo since he’ll be leaving again soon. I’m pretty sure they’re teaching him how to write again. They’ve been addicted to it since you started teaching them since they were little.”
Kagome laughed. “Well it’s only reasonable that our children should know how to considering I do. Scholars are few during this age of war. I wish I could have taught Shippo while he was still young.” She turned back to her garden in front of her, tending to the herbs and carefully organizing them in her basket.
“What do you mean? He’s still young. The twerp still has a lot of learning to do.” Inuyasha grinned digging his shovel back into the ground.
“Well anyways, I was hoping to see them before they left for the day.” Kagome whined slightly to herself. Disappointed even more that she slept in. The couple continued to work in silence enjoying the crisp air after two days of rain. Kagome still hummed as she picked from her many herbs, but her mind was on her children.
Her first born, Izayoi. Kagome smiled sweetly at the thought of her. She remembered after the baby was born she told Inuyasha she wanted to name her after his mother and he was in shock. It took him some days to agree to the name, but he was very happy that he did. He wasn’t just a half demon who only had a mother he could truly call family anymore. Kagome chuckled outwardly and gained the attention of her husband.
“Hey, what’s so funny Kagome?” Inuyasha teased her. He dropped his shovel again and went to her side. Always looking for ways to get out of chores.
Kagome laughed again. “Oh nothing. I was just thinking about the children. I was thinking about when I gave birth to Izayoi, I was so mad because it was incredibly hot!” She placed a dirt covered hand near her mouth as she laughed at the now fond memory. Inuyasha chuckled along with her, watching her delicately pick her herbs.
“Yeah I remember that. You were screaming so loud. Why is it so fucking hot? It’s too hot for this! Why now?” Inuyasha mimicked remembering Kagome in labor. “You were screaming so loud that I thought something was wrong and Miroku and some other village women had to hold me down from bursting into Kaede’s hut.” Inuyasha chuckled at the now funny memory. He stood next to her and held on to her shoulder. She playfully nudged him with her hip.
“You wanna try giving birth mister?” She placed her basket down in her garden and faced the half demon.
Inuyasha snickered and leaned forward so he was eye level to her. “I would rather receive a thousand sits than ever have to birth a child.” Kagome laughed at his response and pecked his lips with hers. She turned back to her garden to continue working, but her husband has other plans as he wrapped his arms around her from behind.
“Oh Inuyasha,” Kagome sighed into him as he took her in for a tender hug, his chest to her back and his arms around her shoulders. She stopped her work yet again and held onto his forearm.“They are growing up so fast. Our youngest is already ten!” Inuyasha only chuckled lightly as he laid his chin lightly atop her head squeezing her a bit tighter.
“Yeah he is. They are all growing so fast. Even though it’s been seventeen years since Izayoi was born, I feel like it was not that long ago.” The wind around them blew cold against their faces and overcast started to fill the sky within their silent reminiscing. She heard Inuyasha sniff.
“Looks like there’s gonna be rain tonight.” Kagome nodded softly and slowly turned around to hug Inuyasha from the front. She wrapped her arms around him as he did the same to her. It was within that sincere moment that Inuyasha could smell it. Salt, it was in the air, but so feint. He pulled back a bit to look at his wife’s face.
“Kagome, are you crying?” He stared at her in confusion, wondering what he may have done...or didn’t do.
The woman in question absentmindedly shook her head and tried to go in for another hug, but Inuyasha wouldn’t allow it.
“Wait, Kagome, what’s wrong? Did I do something?”
“No Inuyasha you didn’t. Don’t worry about it.” She tried again for the hug wanting to ignore the ever growing tears filling her eyes.
“Don’t fuck with me Kagome. What’s wrong?” Again Inuyasha held her arms, away from his body, and looked her in her eyes. They swelled up more as she looked back at him.
Kagome dropped to her knees, forcing her husband down with her. She leaned against Inuyasha and cried.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen Inuyasha.”
“What do you mean Kagome?” He was beginning to sound frantic, uncertain of the sudden change in behavior of his wife.
“Inuyasha, don’t you see?” Kagome pulled back from him, her cheeks flushed as hot tears continued out of her eyes and down her face. “The children are growing up so fast. I’m getting old!”
“Wha? Kagome, you’re not that old! What are you talking about?” Inuyasha couldn’t help but to raise his voice at her and grip her shoulders as if to bring back her senses.
“Inuyasha,” Kagome’s voice shook with a plea as she wanted him to understand what she was trying to say without actually saying it. “Don’t you get it? I’m just a human. I’m not going to stay young looking forever. One day, I’ll look like Keade did.”
“Kagome-”
With a quick finger to his lips Kagome stopped him from continuing. She kept her finger lingering as her eyes rapidly looked at every part of his handsome face. She took a deep and shaky breath ready to say what was on her ever aging mind. “Don’t Inuyasha, let me finish.” Kagome offered, knowing what he was going to say. He lightly shook his head in agreement and Kagome took her finger from his lips. She rubbed her hands together and looked at the ground in nervousness.
“I know that you don’t care about my looks like that, as if it’s of the utmost importance. But being human isn’t just looking old because of aging. It’s dying too.” Kagome looked back at him to try and read his body language. She could see Inuyasha’s eyebrows come together, obviously displeased at the topic of her own demise.
“Inuyasha,” Kagome continued as she tried to fight off the sobs harboring her throat as she spoke. “I’m forty years old now, and however long I have left won’t ever feel long enough with you. With our children. With our friends. You’ll continue to live long after I’m gone, but I can’t stand the thought of leaving you. Of leaving our family!” Kagome heaved a cry as she reached for the comfort within Inuyasha’s arms around her, he obliged with a lovingly tight grip.
“Kagome how could you think like that?” He squeezed her as she cried onto his kosode, ignoring the musky scent of sweaty labor. Still on the floor, he adjusted his position and leaned against one of the legs of the above ground herb garden. He opened his legs to allow the mother of his children crawl into his lap, just like many times before.
“Inuyasha how could I not?” She wept onto his shoulder. “You may not think about it or notice it, but I’m the one who’s fully human. The time will come when that will happen.” She cried and squeezed his neck and shoulders, desperately trying to hide herself within him.
“Kagome.” Inuyasha paused, but continued to hold her to him and used his right hand to gently rung her back.
He took a breath and exhaled slowly.
“I’ve thought about it before.” Inuyasha started softly. “Well no, it was more like thrown to my face. Multiple times.” He could hear Kagome’s sniffling die down as he gently rubbed her back.
“I’ve thought about things like that when my mother died; when Kikyo and Kaede died, and to every damn demon or human that threatened our relationship.” Inuyasha stopped his comforting motion on her back and instead held her tightly with both arms.
“And unless I go first in some fight or whatever, I knew that I was going to lose you Kagome. I never ever liked thinking about it, but when I did, it only made me want to love you more. If I can’t share my love for you within my lifetime, I’ll just have to do it in yours.” He heard a pitched inhale of air and he squeezed her a bit tighter, lifting one hand to cradle her head and rub his fingers on her scalp.
“When my mother died, I was devastated and lost. I was angry and confused. She was my mother and I was still a kid technically. She wasn’t supposed to die.” Inuyasha paused again, his emotions getting the best of him. He needed to be strong, but he also needed Kagome to understand his feelings about the inevitable battle against time.
“Kagome, I would do anything to keep you by my side for the rest of my life, but I can’t. You are only human and as time goes on,” Inuyasha choked back his own silent sob, the words difficult to even say, “you eventually will leave me.” Inuyasha hid his face in the crook of her neck as she has did earlier. “I don’t….I don’t even wanna think about it Kagome. I hate thinking about it, but it is true and it’s unavoidable. But that’s why we have to make the most of it.” His words became soft as his eyes grew hot as pools of tears threatened to fall.
“Kagome.” He pulled her away from his frame to look at her in the eyes as he held her shoulders away from him. He stared at her and she could only stare back at his shiny pools of amber. Two tears shed from his eyes. Kagome’s face cried in response at the emotional distress she caused him.
“You were the one who taught me and showed me how to accept myself. That I don’t have to be only human or only demon, it’s okay to be both. To be me. And I’ve come to love you for who you are. I want you to be happy and death doesn’t make anyone happy.”
Inuyasha inhaled deeply and slowly released his shaky breath as he hugged her again. “Kagome, when you pass, I will be miserable. If we weren’t where we are now, I would probably hate myself again and become angry at the world for making me who I am. But look around us. We have this place that we call our home, we have four children who are going to do wonderful things with their lives because of you. And because of them, I won’t be able to hate myself. I’ll miss you terribly, and they will too; when I look at them or think of them, I’ll see you. You won’t leave me alone Kagome because you left me such wonderful gifts.” Inuyasha lightly chuckled to himself despite the situation. “Even though I’d hate to think about it, our children will leave me gifts as well.” He dropped his hands to pick up hers and squeezed them lightly, looking at them he continued.
“Our family will continue to grow far from our time, and it’s all because of you. Because you decided that I could be loved.” Inuyasha’s words hit Kagome hard as tears continued to roll down her cheeks. The white of her eyes were red and her eyebrows were forced towards one another as she struggled to hold back tears. “And if you really want to think about it, Sango and Miroku’s lives wouldn’t be where they are now if it wasn’t for you wanting to befriend everyone.” Inuyasha finished chuckling at the recollection the things that Kagome has done not only for him, but for their friends as well that has left a permanent impact within their lives.
“Inuyasha.” Kagome wiped her eyes, trying to dry up her tears and took a heavy sniff to clear her nose. “When did you become so wise?”
He chuckled as he took his thumb to wipe a fresh fallen tear from her eyes. “You’re not the only one who’s gotten older.” Inuyasha blinked back his own tears as Kagome laughed lightly and hugged him while adjusting more comfortably in his lap.
They stayed quiet, enjoying each other’s company with their chores the last thing on their mind. The silence brought new relief to Kagome as her lover’s words echoed in her head. Soon enough the emotional exhaustion took over Kagome and she fell asleep in Inuyasha’s lap, enjoying his comforting warmth. The sun that was high above them began drifting westbound to set for the day by the time Kagome had awoken from her sudden nap. She could feel continuous warmth on her chest, but a slight cool breeze on her back. As her eyes adjusted to her surroundings she concluded that she was traveling on Inuyasha’s back. His hair was still in its ponytail, but was placed over his shoulder so she wouldn’t lay on it; his fire-rat haori tucked into his hamaka as usual.
“Inuyasha? Where are we?” Kagome lazily looked around as they briskly passed by huts around the village. She noticed clouds beginning to cover the sky above them and the sun’s orange rays weakening as the day was coming to an end.
“Oh just to the monk’s place. I was sure you’d want to see the kids sometime today.” Inuyasha teased and jumped a final large leap in front of their friend’s hut. Kagome could hear slight chatter inside and see the glow of a fire around the reed door. He gently placed her back on her feet and watched her stretch herself awake.
“Oh I can’t wait to see my babies, but we can’t stay too long. I still have to make dinner.” Kagome said more to herself as a reminder. She walked towards the door with a smile on her face feeling rejuvenated after her sudden nap.
“Oh I wouldn’t worry about that Kagome.” Inuyasha said just as she pushed the reed door open. She looked back at him in confusion but quickly made her way inside.
Kagome could only gawk at the sight in front of her. Her friends and children spread out in the common area of Miroku and Sango’s home. Kagome smiled brightly at the scene before her. Her four children were there; Izayoi sitting between Sango’s beautiful twin girls as Shippo looked to be in the middle of telling them an exciting story. Kyo and the three youngest children sat in a circle with papers sprawled around them with writing characters written everywhere. Sango was over the fire mixing a pot of stew while Miroku assisted her. Kohaku also made a surprise visit keeping Rin company, she was petting Kirara absentmindedly as he appeared to be listening to Rin’s own stories.
Kagome’s voice was hitched in her throat as she absorbed the sight before her. “Wha, what's going on?” Cries of ‘happy birthday’ filled the room as everyone’s attention was suddenly brought to her. Kagome overwhelmed by everything looked behind her as Inuyasha gently touched her shoulder. He grinned playfully at her reaction. Kagome quickly brought her attention to the group in front of her. She smiled widely and looked at her children who were supposed to be out of the village. She swiftly made her way to her two oldest surprised to see them as the others started to surround her with overlapping declarations of ‘happy birthday Kagome’ and ‘I love you mom’.
Kagome smiled from ear to ear as she tried to hug everyone around her. “What's going on? I thought you guys left to slay a demon up the mountain?”
“Nah, that was just a little story so you don’t try to look for us while we set this up.” Izayoi smiled at her mother and motioned her arms around the room. Kagome’s eyes followed her wave of directions and finally absorbed the atmosphere of the room.
“Is this...is this some sort of party?” Kagome couldn't smile any wider than she already could as she walked to her best friend and gave her a hug.
“Well you always keep track of all of the kids birthdays and give them some sort of outing and gift. We know it was a custom of your time Kagome, so we decided to try it out for you.” Sango beamed at her dear friend and reached in for another hug. The children followed suit, Kyo making it first to his mother as the others formed a massive group hug. Shippo bounced his way in, no longer small enough to land on anyone’s shoulders, he hugged at Sango’s hips. Rin and Kohaku bounded for the ever growing hug as Kirara made herself comfortable on Kohaku’s shoulder.
“Yeah Kagome. Inuyasha said that every year you never fail to say ‘happy birthday’ during the yearly season of all your kid’s births, even though they’re already a grown up. It’s a tradition from your time.” Shippo explained happily to her.
“Yes Lady Kagome, it’s like a ‘Coming of Age’ ceremony, but for the same person every year right?.” Miroku said with a smile making his own way to his wife. “That is how you celebrated it in your time?” He  asked trying to make sense of ‘happy birthday’. In all honesty, it took all of them sometime to grasp the concept of Kagome’s future tradition of ‘happy birthday’.
Kagome laughed as she felt Inuyasha brush up beside her to include himself in the ridiculous group hug. “Well not exactly, but close enough I suppose. It is just to celebrate another year that you lived, and I am so happy to be spending this day with all of you here.” Kagome embraced Sango and Kyo tighter as she smiled, small tears at the edges of her eyes dared to fall. The others followed suit and hugged one another with a squeeze of radiating love.
“I love you all so much. I couldn’t be happier in this very moment, and I can’t wait for what tomorrow will bring us. Another day with my family.”
Tumblr media
A/N: So these are some notes I had made for myself to try and keep track of the ages for the kids. I’m not a math person, so please tell me if these are wrong based on the info I provided. InuKag, 4 kids, Izayoi-17, Kyo-15, last two are 12 and 10. I really don’t want to give them names because idk, I feel heartbroken thinking about naming their children when I’d rather see it done cannonly, haha. But I have always imagined their girl to be named after Inuyasha’s mom and I’ve always loved Kyo’s name and have been imaging that name for their child since I was little (yes, Kyo from Fruits Basket, but also from Kyo from King of Fighters lol).  Kagome was 23 when she had Izayoi, 5 years after passing the well (assuming she was 18 at that time, three years after meeting Inuyasha when she was 15), so that means MirSan twins would have been 8 (assuming they were 3 at this time) when Izayoi was born and their son  is 5-6 , so in this time frame the twins are 23 and the boy is 20-21. After doing the math for the ages I am shook at how old they are! I’m only a couple of years older than the twins!! Sango and Miroku are getting old too! I’m crying just thinking about it! I also decided not to name Sango’s kids since this is a one shot and idk, again I felt that naming them would make them my own characters rather than the cannon characters that they are (even though inukag kids are my characters, but I didn’t give them to much character even though I have daydreamed about them before. I felt that this wasn’t the story for it).

MHA at a CON or FEST
Hi, so over the last couple day I have been going to the local Fan-con in my state and I was curious while there what some of the MHA characters would be like as panel or meet and greet guests and you as a vendor.
Hawks- He is a fan favorite. For him I’d imagine the tickets to meet him would sell out almost immediately and if someone was lucky to catch one late, it would likely be from a peddler outside the stadium. He is so good with his fans very professional in his hero costume, taking pictures and signing things. (he kind of has to be.) As sort of a subliminal messaging thing, he’d keep some of your merch just strewn on his table, like it was just left there and would send feathers to you periodically throughout the day to let you know he’s thinking about you, or has some major tea about a crazed fan. You’ll know which depending on the frantic-ness of the delivery.
Mirkou- She is so unashamed about her nerdiness. You cannot convince me you two don’t ren and, "women with swords" is her aesthetic. So don’t expect her in her hero costume. Not the one she actually works in at least. Her meet and greet costume is a modified knight-core version with chainmail and leather. She had a special bit of her armor etched with a little symbol of your two’s design. like a crest of your love... lol... nerds.... Preferably she can see your table from where she is, so she can point you out as her (royal title). “for I am their knight, and they are my Queen/King” is what she says all Stokely. Don’t expect to much professionalism from her, she’s too excited.
Aizawa- How TF someone got him to do a meet and greet is beyond me, but he’s not happy about it. Its too loud, too crowded and he’s often asking himself why this big of an event is important to hero work and if its safe to have so many heroes in one place. (its a pretty big target.) But he’s amiable enough. He does it mostly because some of his students are there and so are you. At first he’s rather fitful, but when a little kid hands him a picture of a kitten drawn by them he softens. Its a complete coincidence he became the children's favorite. Parents wondering why their child chose a homely gremlin over Hawks. When he has any time free he’s watching you wow people with your own products just in awe of your passion, but behind that is a small excitement building for the epic sleep that yall are having tonight after such an involved day.
Bakugou- You cannot convince me he isn’t into this. For a couple reasons. One he gets to show off a little bit. I feel like the Bakugou that would get big enough to have a meet and greet is not the “I’m better than everyone,” guy we’re used to, but he does like the idea of seeing what kinds of people flock to him. It’s def not what he expected. Book nerds, and introverts. If you’d have told him that was his fan base, he’d have laughed in your face, but now that he’s seeing it with his own eyes the pieces start to click. its very “every Hufflepuff needs a Slytherin” vibe. (though I don’t think Bakugou is a Slytherin, different post different time.) He actually begins to enjoy the time. Its not as loud as the other panels despite the doubled mass at his stand. When he has any time away from the greet table he’s with you, checking out the food truck district. of course their is a radius so he’s not swarmed, but he does tip the staff really really well.
Midoryia- Despite going to so many cons for Allmight stuff when faced with his own booth, and seeing his own fan art, Midoryia becomes very, very overwhelmed. This results in a lot of check ins with you and sloppy smiled pictures. It’s not that he tries to be awkward, but people constantly telling him how much they love him makes him wonder if he ever became so overbearing to his mentor. After a while you make some arrangements to move your booth into veiw of his and after that, his demeanor completely changes. Not having to stare at the art booth with only his face in various mediums staring back at him, but you with your passion sprawled out across a table and your friendly smile. It gives him courage to relax a little. Overall he’ll only do those kinds of events if you are there. If you’re not public with your relationship, how long will it take the public to realize you’re always so close?
Ochako- Baby girl is eating it up! Not because of the crowd per say, but because of the smiles. She’s had to use her quirk to save lives so many times, I could see her floating peoples hair and floating up to make funny faces behind people in photos. Her and some of the other hero's decided to get in on a corner of the meet and greets together so they can interact with fans together. (photobombing each others pics and such.) When she has the time she’ll sneak off to you with a churro in each hand with a social battery check in and a mandatory water check. If you’re feeling drained she’ll ask one of her assistants to watch your booth while she floats you both somewhere to watch the crowd from above.
Mina- She is too hype for the occasion. Her and Ochako def got a space near each other. She goes above and beyond for her fans, decorating her whole booth in flower vines and twinkle lights. she did it for the gram for sure. She is great with her people and loves to ask them actual questions when they meet her. “how are you really babydoll?”, “tell me about your day.” and is the queen of complements. when she’s on break she’s with you hyping up your booth to anyone within hearing distance. “hey! have you all seen how amazing my love is?!” she def is out here to do the most in the best way.
Kirishima- Baby boy is nervous. He’ll never admit it if not forced, but he’s never been to an event like this, as a guest or greeter and the sheer magnitude of it all is.. daunting. It isn’t until he sits down and actually people watches the line of fans ready to meet him does he calm down. specifically a little boy with foam hands of his signature fist to fist in hardened mode. (Like the Thanos gauntlet you can buy at walmart) The kid was so excited to meet his favorite “shark” and it was that day that Kiri saw how far that comparison (him to a shark) actually went. He overall realizes his fan base is mostly made up of people like him. People who didn’t feel like they had the right bits in their bones to fit into society. He loved being that oddball for them. At lunch he sneaks away with you to eat junky foods hidden in an empty stage room or somewhere secluded. He’s got so many stories about so many cool people and keeps a copy of the pictures of his favorite fans for himself. to remind him why he does what he does.

Heya! Talking about Kakashi (and I agree with you 100%), can I add that he's one of the few "pervert" characters in manga that I love? Because I hate Jiraiya and M*neta, Sanji getz on my nerves sometimes lol the only one I love more is Lavi from D.Gray-Man (who's less of a pervert and more of a flirt)
In my opinion it’s because Kakashi might be a pervert but he’s a non-threatening pervert.  Kakashi’s “perversion” is mainly seen through him reading erotic novels (also note that erotic/romantic novels are a more typically feminine type of outlet of sexual expression/recreation) which is a victimless type of perversion as opposed to characters like Jiraiya and Mineta who actively victimize the objects of their perversion/lust by spying on them while bathing/changing and/or groping them when given the opportunity.  They are outright predatory in their appetites in a way that makes in universe women uncomfortable and a lot of that translates over to fans who can relate in real life.
Because Kakashi doesn’t victimize anyone by being a pervert that trait becomes amusing and even enjoyable instead of distasteful.
Another character that, in my opinion, falls into this category despite having a more overt sort of perversion is Miroku from InuYasha.  Miroku, despite the occasional bath time spying like Jiraiya and even groping like Mineta and the ever present “please have my children” spiel still comes across as more loveable than threatening through his other actions, back story, overall personality, and canon character growth.
In my opinion Kakashi and Mirkou are examples of how to write loveable and enjoyable “perverts” while Mineta in particular is an example of how to write a running joke of predatory perversion that stops being funny very very quickly.

Eclipsed (Jungkook FF) - Ch.1
Tumblr media
Discovering the kings biggest secret leads you into understanding the way he is, and how perhaps you have been just a bit too prejudice. After all, who are you to judge anyone.
pairing: Jungkook x Reader
genre: fantasy, fluff, inspired by the anime Inuyasha, slight e2l, the f2l, and some angst cuz why not, future smut.
warnings: TW - description / mentions of blood loss
word count: 1779
parts: 1 / next>?
a/n: I tried to get this out by Halloween last year but it was 2020 and life got in the way. A lot of stuff happened in my personal life so I just needed to cope with that first before I did anything. Also, since this is inspired somewhat by the anime Inuyasha, I wanted to give a moment and respect the passing of Kirby Morrow who is the english voice actor of Mirkou in the series as well as many other great characters. It felt like a piece of my childhood just left and while I know we can all still see and hear his work, it definitely did leave an impact on me as well as many other. Rest well Kirby. Aug. 28, 1973 - Nov. 18, 2020
Without further notice, hope you enjoy this.

“Come now darling, we need to hurry and head home before the sun sets.” A woman gently tugged on her child’s hand as she finished putting the last bit of herbs in her basket. The child’s eyes gleaming at every trinket that glistened in the rays of the setting sun. A certain fascination was held in the child’s eyes. Though, upon hearing what her mother said, she quickly drew her attention from the trinkets. Looking at her mother now as she was pulled through the crowd, a question laid heavy on her tongue.
“Mama, why do we always need to hurry home before the sun sets?” With a furrow of her brow the little girl couldn’t hide her disappointment. Despite being only eight, the little girl knew that it was an odd thing. Never really understanding the reasoning as to why one could not stay out past the sunset. “___ sweetheart, it’s a law that the king has set in place.” This answer did not seem to quell her curiosity.
“But why?” Her mother chuckles as she halts all her movements. She looks at her daughter before kneeling to her height and lifting her up. She scans around to ensure no one is paying attention before whispering in her daughters’ ear. “It’s to keep everyone safe.” You blink at her, owlishly so, that she lets a small giggle leave her lips. Squishing your cheek next to her, she places a kiss on it. “Safe? But doesn’t the king-”
Your mother simply smiles, “don’t believe everything people say ___.” Whispering ever so gently, she places you back onto the ground before taking your hand and leading you home. Where later into the night you lay up and think over your mother’s words.
Later that evening – once you are tucked into bed and in a deep sleep. Your mother looks out the window of the cabin, watching the glow of the barrier surround the entire kingdom. Just beyond that, she gazes up at the moon as it turns a striking blood red. It brings back a distant memory.
Entering the castle, she takes note at how dark it is inside, the curtains have been drawn and there are barely any candles lighting the corridors up. ‘Strange, the moon is full and bright tonight’ She isn’t allowed to think much of it any longer
“Your highness.” The man that sought her out for weeks – one of the kings’ advisors he informed – leads her into one of the many rooms in the enormous castle. She turns her gaze back to the front, where a man stood with his back faced towards them. There has been a demonic energy present since she passed the forest into the capital. And despite the darkness within the castle, she was able to distinct the horns that protruded through his head as he slightly turned it. ‘No doubt, he’s where all this demonic energy is coming from.’
“We have brought the priestess just as requested.” Surprisingly, his voice was soft, tone gentle. “You may leave us.” He remained facing the large window.
Nothing was said as they stayed in their spots. She didn’t know what to say or do, but by heavens is this a deafening silence. Just as she was gathering up all the courage to finally speak, he beat her to it.
“You were the high priestess of Faemma, were you not?” The mention of her past stuns her so much, that it takes her a full moment to compose herself. “Yes, your majesty.” She holds her head high, never allowing the blight to hinder her dignity. Another bout of silence engulfs them. A sudden shift in the air sends chills down her spine. Glancing at the king she is stunned in silence, lilac eyes shining in the dark room as they stare her down.
“If the rumors that proceed you are to be true, then I need you, to achieve something for me. In return, I will grant you asylum in Aurelia.” As though it never existed, his demonic aura disappeared along with the glow of his eyes.
That was over nine years ago. Just as the king promised, she was granted asylum and lived her life as much as she could. Starting her family of two in peace, no matter the consequences. One final look at the barrier, and she heads to bed.
‘I’ve done my part, the rest is up to you, my darling ___.’
“You will regret ever crossing paths with us priestess!” Another attack was thrown your way, all too quickly that you barely managed to escape it – the ray of lighting hitting your arm. Blood seeped out from the open gash at an alarmingly rapid pace. The effects after the blow caused shock waves through your entire body.
‘If I don’t get away soon, I’ll surely be killed. If not by them, then certainly by all the blood that I’m losing.’ Casting a look over the horizon you see that the sun is nearly set. ‘The sunset!’
If you lead them close enough to the village - the sun should have set by then, activating the barrier! They won’t be able to penetrate through! With your plan set, you act and try to run without tumbling over everything in your way. Holding on tightly to your arm, hand over the wound, you feel blood pour out as your heart raced and pumped the blood through your veins. Your hand and arm completely drenched that it dripped down and caused a trail on the foliage.
“Running is futile! We can hear your heart beating, smell the very life pouring out of you!” One of the demons growled out at you as you looked back. Eye narrowing as you could see that your blood has lured other demons out. You hasten your pace as you see the last ray of light go out.
‘Yes! Just a little further!’ You ran desperately, that you had closed your eyes thinking that it would somehow aid you in running faster – only this led you into running and tripping on an uprooted tree root.
“Die priestess!” Just as the demons lunged at your fallen body, you felt a shift in the air – a pulse – almost. Within a moment, the barrier had activated. The light flashing across the sky as it shielded the entire kingdom. Looking back, you see as the demons are stopped, those touching the barrier bursting into flames.
‘I made it in time… but barely.’ You watch as the demons retreat into the forest, but not without sending a vicious glare your way before leaving. Once there were none left in sight, you let a sigh out and lay back down against the grass, eyes closed as you regained your breath. Thoughts consuming you.
‘They’ll be back after tonight, and with more demons seeking revenge. I miscalculated, didn’t take the threat seriously and ended up with more than I could handle…’ You grab hold of your arm again and feel where the blood had started to dry and crust, but also how wet it continues to be. ‘I’ve lost so much blood… I’m surprised I haven’t – no, I won’t think about that, not now.’
Deciding it best, you let your mind go blank for the remainder of the time. Still, you lay there in the grass as the cool breeze sways around you. Carrying the scent of the river down (along with your blood, no doubt). However, there is another sudden shift in the air, another ‘pulse’ is felt. It’s the same strong pulse you feel every other time the barrier goes up. On instinct you sit up as best at you can with your injured arm and look up.
Blood.
The once silver moon, is now a vibrant blood red. How befitting, your blanched sleeve has also become vibrant with the shade of blood.
‘Wait, there was a second ‘pulse’.’ Staring intently at the moon as though it would give you the answers. In some way it did.
The barrier had formed before the blood moon emerged… could it be due to your injury? Did the rapid beating of your heart force the barrier to appear before it should have? Are you starting to lose control of that too now?
‘Great, if his majesty noticed, then he’s sure to send his advisor to interrogate me again.’ It’d be the fifth time this month alone if he does. Certain things have gotten out of your control, and his majesty has been a thorn in your side. You shudder at the mere thought of the royal advisor to come and question you.
“My, my, that certainly is a gruesome wound you’ve acquired yourself this time.” On second thought, perhaps you prefer the royal advisor as appose to the current pest.
Merely side glancing, you can see the fiend look of concern on his face. How he irritates you with his underlying derisive attitude.
“Oh now, don’t look at me like that. If someone were to see they might think I’m nothing but a nuisance to you.” His tone is patronizing, and to hide the smirk gracing his lips, he spreads the fan out and brings it close to him.
“Then they’d think right.” Your brow twitches with annoyance as you brace yourself to stand. It’s a tough feat, but you manage it. “Why are you here?” Though it was grumbled you know he heard you. He however, doesn’t answer right away. You give it a moment but when he still hasn’t answered you, you decide to not waste anymore time on him and leave.
Until he does speak, and with such conviction, that it leads you to shudder for a moment. “You are using too much power. At a rather hasty pace at that. Tonight’s incident is one of many within the past few weeks where you have lost your abilities within moments of engaging battle.” His usual carefree aura is replaced with sternness you only witnessed once.
The breeze gently flows around you two, trapping you in tense silence. “___,”
You don’t look at him, instead you opt to look at the moon and take in how red it is. “You are losing control.” He’s figured it out, chances are, he knew before even you.
Inhaling the cool air, you whisper, letting the wind carry your voice over to him. “I don’t know… but I’m frightened.” With no more energy left in you, you make way to your cabin, walking past him without so much as even sharing a glance at one another.
‘Seokjin, I know my mother asked you to help me, but I’m afraid that even this maybe out of your control…’

It’s been a few days since you’ve been bedridden, and during those few days, the sweet boy named Kohaku was always with you. He enjoyed talking to you and you enjoyed his company. Sometimes he’d aid you in walking around the castle, showing you around the dark maze. You once asked him why it was so dark, and his only answer. “Some of the demons within the walls have a hard time with sunlight.” He explained. You understood, being half-demon yourself, you knew of a few demons who preferred the dark. Kohaku always kept a good grip on you, helping you to walk, you couldn’t understand why you were feeling so weak lately.
You were more hungry, more weaker, and more restless. It was almost like your human side was stronger than your demonic side, you just couldn’t make sense of it. Your hearing wasn’t as good as it used to be, and neither was your sense of smell. You were worried that perhaps that maybe you were dying, but that wouldn’t make sense. Something was wrong. As you both walked down the hall, he stopped you from walking any further. The sudden stop pulled you from your thoughts, making you look over at him. “Kohaku? What’s wrong?” You asked him. He stared ahead of himself with a cautious look. You stared at him a bit longer, before you looked ahead. There, you saw Kanna.
“Oh, why hello there, Kanna.” You said kindly, as you smiled at her. She didn’t say anything, she just stood there, her little mirror snug in her wrist and hands. Seeing the mirror made you shiver, and your instincts told you to run, but you didn’t know why. You pushed the feeling down, but you kept a mental note of it. “Thank you for saving me from my own clumsiness from the fields. I’m usually more aware than that, I’m grateful for you and your sister.” You said, deep gratitude in your smile. She remained silent, you thought that she wouldn’t say anything, but you were shocked when she bowed her head very slightly. “You’re welcome.” She softly said. You gave her a smile. “Do you wish to walk with me and Kohaku?” You asked.
Kohaku looked over at you for a moment before he looked back over at Kanna. She remained stoic, her face held no emotion, and it reminded you of Sesshomaru when he was a boy. Your smile became fond before a confused look came upon your face. ‘I feel like I’ve met her before, and that I had that exact same thought… but from where?’ You thought, as a strong sense of Dija Vu came over you. You were pulled from your thoughts when soft footsteps sounded and you looked up. You saw Kanna walking slowly towards yourself and Kohaku, and the sense of panic filled you. ‘Why am I scared? Why do I want to run?’ You thought, as your eyes trailed down to her mirror. Panic filled you and you took a hesitant step back. Kohaku’s grip on you tightened and he looked back at you with a worried look.
“Miss (Y/N)? What’s wrong?” He asked worriedly as he saw the look of fear on your face. ‘I need to run… I need to make great distance.’ Your panic-filled mind thought as you took another step back. “Miss (Y/N)?” Kohaku questioned in worry, his face brightening in realization before he looked back at Kanna. ‘Is she afraid of Kanna?’ He thought as he watched her get closer. ‘No, because if she was she wouldn’t have offered her to walk with us.’ He thought as he examined Kanna. The feeling of you tugging back brought his attention back to you, and he could see your eyes were glued to Kanna, but you weren’t looking at her. He examined you for a bit, before he looked back at Kanna.
‘What is it that’s frightening her?’ He thought in confusion as he eyed Kanna. His eyes suddenly landed on the mirror and he gaped in understanding. ‘The mirror! It’s the mirror that’s making her so scared.’ He thought, as he looked back over at you. Your strength was slightly increasing, making Kohaku dig his heel into the floorboards. ‘Does she remember Kanna’s mirror?’ He thought. He was pulled from them when you gave a sudden strong tuck, and he cried out when he nearly went flying as you took off into a struggled jog, Kohaku’s added weight behind you made you slow, but you couldn’t care less. ‘I have to get away. That mirror is evil.’ You thought as you slightly jogged with a struggling Kohaku.
Kanna stopped her walking when she saw both you and Kohaku walk down the hall and around the corner. She stayed there for a moment, staring at where you both rounded at, before she looked down at her mirror. “Does she remember my mirror? That shouldn’t be possible. Unless it’s a deeply rooted fear.” She said in a soft voice.
Both you and Kohaku walked for a moment before you calmed down, and Kohaku was able to drag you to a stop. You panted in exhaustion as you leaned against the wall. Kohaku stared up at you in worry. “I’m sorry Miss (Y/N). I should’ve just let you walk away and not forced you to stay.” He said in an apologetic voice. You shook your head at his words. “Don’t apologize, Kohaku. You did nothing wrong. I just ran away was all.”
You said as you slowly regained your breath back. ‘Man, I haven’t been this out of breath in a long time.’ You thought tiredly as you focused on breathing. Kohaku stared at you in continued worry. “You should rest, you don’t sound too good.” He said. You smiled over at him, before you stood up straight. “No need, I’m already feeling better, come Kohaku, take me to another place in the castle, will you?” You kindly asked him as you shined him a sweet smile, calming his worries.
He stared at you for a moment before he nodded his head and he smiled back. “Okay, but tell me if you need to rest.” He said. You nodded at his words, and he once more lead you through the castle. Truth be told, you didn’t want to go back to your room just yet, you’ve been in there for days, and seeing the same walls over and over was making you claustrophobic. As you both walked, your mind wandered to Kanna.
‘Her Mirror, there’s something about it that makes it evil, but I can’t remember why. Why can’t I remember?’ You thought in slight annoyance. ‘I’ve been having a really hard time remembering certain things recently. Like Inuyasha’s friend… I can’t remember her name… I can’t even put a face to her. I remember Kagome, Shippo, Miroku, and even Kirara, ... but… I can’t remember the young woman. Why?’ You thought, as worry began to consume you.
‘Something isn’t right, I need to figure out what's happening to me.’ You though in determination as you and Kohaku faded into the darkness of the castle.

Kagura sat in a tree, her eyes like that of a predator as she stared down at Inuyasha and his friends resting around a campfire. It was a half moon tonight, no clouds could be seen in the night sky. She observed them for a moment, thinking of how she should approach them. ‘I want to form an alliance, not a deceleration of war.’ she thought as she calculated how to go about this. ‘Naraku wanted me to taunt Inuyasha about his mother’s whereabouts, but any mention of the woman might set him off wrongly.’ She thought as she tapped her fan lightly against her chin. ‘After all, I’m not even supposed to know of the woman’s existence.’ She thought, her mind racing for ways on how to approach. Her eyes widen in realization, before she smirked. ‘Yes, that shall do just fine.’ She thought smugly as she lowered her fan.
“My, my, my… Inuyasha and his band of heroes. Catching some Z's I see.” She said in a taunting manner. Inuyasha and everyone became on high alert immediately at the sound of her voice. Inuyasha stood in front of the group. ‘Their great protector.’ Kagura thought as she mentally rolled her eyes. ‘Spare me.’ She thought. She was pulled from her thoughts once Inuyasha spoke. “Kagura! The hell are you doing here!?” He asked in a defensive tone. She played her role and she smirked. “Calm down, dog boy, I’m not here for a fight.” She said. He seemed to back down some, and he stared up at her in question. “Then what the hell are you here for? Because I’m pretty sure it's nothing good.” He said in annoyance.
She chuckled at him. “My, don’t you just know me so well.” She taunted. Inuyasha bared his fangs at her, but before he could say anything, Miroku chimed in. “What business is it that you’ve come with today, Kagura? You said that you weren’t here for a fight, so why did you come?” Miroku asked. She smirked down at him. “Ever level-headed, Monk. More level-headed than that oversize mutt.” She said, amusement in her voice. Inuyasha growled at her in annoyance. “You wanna come down here and say that to my face, Kagura!?” He shouted in anger. She snatched her head off. “Please, and let you maul me? No thanks.” She scoffed. Inuyasha ticked with anger, but Miroku held his arm out in front of him, catching Inuyasha’s attention.
“Try not to let her rally you up, she’s just toying with you.” He said in a leveled voice. Inuyasha looked up at her with a heated glare before he huffed and he pushed Miroku’s hand away from him. “She’s not rallying anything up.” He said, but he calmed himself non the less. Kagura frowned in slight displeasure, as she enjoyed toying with Inuyasha, he was always so fun to mess with, but oh well, time for business.
“Hmph, no fun are you, monk. But no matter, I have a proposal to make with you lot.” She said in a serious matter. Everyone looked up at her in shock. “What did she just say?” Kagome asked. “A proposal of some kind.” Sango answered. Inuyasha glared up at her. “What kind of bullcrap are you trying to pull, Kagura?” Inuyasha growled out. She scoffed as she held her chin up at him. “There is no trickery this time. I’m here to ask for an alliance, a truce if you will.” She said.
Miroku spoke up. “If this isn’t a trick, then what kind of alliance is this? What will we get out of it?” He asked. She smirked. “Trust me, you’ll want to join forces with me once you learn of what we’ve captured. Or more like, who.” She said in an alluring tone. Everyone stared at her in confusion. “What are you on about, Kagura?” Miroku asked. She stared down at him with a serious look. “It’s simple really, Naraku has captured someone who he suspects has ties to you all, but I’m going to break her free, and kill Naraku once and for all.” She said as a determined glare came over her face. Everyone stared up at her in confused silence before Inuyasha spoke up. “So let me get this straight. You want us to help you bail this person out, who you claim has some kind of ties to us? Then you want to kill Naruaku? Somethings fishy about this.” Inuyasha said in a skeptical voice.
“Yeah, how can we trust you?” Kagome said. Kagura smirked, she wasn’t swayed by their questions. “Because you lot and I want the same thing. To see Naraku dead. And besides, you’ll have the jewel and you'll get back the woman too.” She said. Shippo jumped up on Kagome’s shoulder. “What woman?” He asked. “Yes, you said we know her.” Sango said.
Kagura leaned back against the tree as she stared at her nails with a faked uninterested in the topic of the woman. “Oh I don’t know, some random lowly half-demoness.” She said. A cold air blew over the group as a heavy silence waved through them all. “A half-demoness?” Miroku asked, dread in his voice. “You guys don’t think.” Kagome said in worry as she looked at Sango. “I hope not.” Sango said in equal worry. Inuyasha’s head was lowered and his shoulders shook, his fangs bared as he clenched his fists.
Everyone looked over at him in worry. “Inuyasha.” Kagome said in worry as she stared at his back. “What’s her name?” He asked in a low growl. Kagura looked down at him with an arched brow. “What was that?” She asked as she tilted her head some, as to act as if she didn’t hear him. He snatched his head up at her, the rage in his eyes causing her to slyly smirk. ‘Gotcha.’ She thought in success. “DON’T FUCK WITH ME, KAGURA!! I ASKED FOR HER DAMN NAME!!!” He shouted in rage as he glared daggers at her. She faked annoyance at his words. “Hmph, all you half-demons are alike. So human, with your sentimentalism.” She scoffed. His glare worsened and she gave under it. She crossed her arms and gave him an uninterested stare as she arched her brow. “From what Naraku told me, he said that her name was (Y/N).” She said.
Everyone’s eyes widen as their fears came true. Inuyasha’s glare loosened up into a shocked expression, as dread filled him replacing his anger. “Oh no, not (Y/N).” Shippo sadly said. “What could Naraku possibly want from her?” Sango asked. Everyone stayed silent for a moment before Inuyasha angrily spoke up. “Isn’t it obvious? He wants her because he’s trying to hurt me. That bastard Naraku. I hate his damn guts!!” Inuyasha yelled as he stared down at the ground in rage.
He was mad at everything right now. He was mad a Kagura for telling him, he was mad at his friends for wanting to leave for the stupid jewel, but most of all… he was angry with himself. He was blaming himself for his mom’s kidnapping. ‘If only I had been more cautious, then maybe… maybe...’ He thought as he wallowed in his self-hatred, but a heavy hand landed on his shoulder and he looked over.
Miroku was staring at him with a look of understanding. “Don’t beat yourself up, Inuyasha. Besides, we’re all angry and hurting for her involvement.” He comfortingly said. Inuyasha stared at him for a moment, before he looked back at his friends. He could see that they all had a mixture of saddness and rage on their faces as they blamed themselves for your safety. He stared at them a little longer before his glare returned and he turned towards Kagura.
He looked up at her with a determined gleam. “Alright Kagura, you got yourself an alliance!” He said. She smirked in victory, but he continued. “But don’t forget, just because we’re working together doesn’t make us a team! Ya got that!?” He said. She rolled her eyes at him. “Oh hush, don’t think so little of me. I wasn’t even expecting a friendship with you lot to begin with. I just want my freedom, and for Naraku to breathe his last miserable breath.” She said with venom in her voice.
“You said that if we freed (Y/N), then it will lead to Naraku’s death. What did you mean by that?” Miroku asked. Everyone looked up at her in question. “Simple. Naraku has obtained possession of the Kusho Pearl, and the only way to wield it, is with the power of the Shikon Jewel.” She explained. Everyone stared up at her in curiosity. “The Kusho Pearl?” Kagome asked. Sango shook her head. “I never hear of it.” She said. Miroku nodded. “Neither have I.” He admitted.
Inuyasha chimed in. “The hell is the Kusho Pearl?” He asked. “The Kusho Pearl is a powerful object. It’s said to harbor a hundred worlds in its black void.” She explained as she took a seat on the branch. Everyone marveled at the words she just spoke. “A hundred worlds?” Sango asked in disbelief. “That’s just as powerful as the Jewel itself.” Kagome said. “What the hell does that have to do with Mom!?” Inuyasha asked impatiently. “It has to do with her greatly.”Kagura said. Kagome spoke up. “What does that mean?” She asked.
“The Kusho Pearl is currently holding some of (Y/N)’s memories, as well as half of her soul.” She explained. Everyone gaped at her words, the air became heavy once more as they stared up at her silently. Kagura continued. “In order for Naraku to use the Kusho Pearl, he needs the power of the jewel to use it. He implanted a fragment of the jewel into her back, allowing him to connect the Kusho Pearl to her being.” Kagura explained. Inuyasha growled. “That Bastard, I’ll rip him to shreds. Messing with Kikyo was one thing, but my Mom is a whole new level.”
Inuyasha spoke in rage as he shook his head. Miroku looked over to Inuyasha for a moment before he looked back up at her. “How is freeing (Y/N) going to put an end to Naraku?” He asked. Kagura smirked. “Because without the shard in her back, Naraku will no longer have the proper connection to control the Kusho Pearl. Once we free her from Naraku’s grasp, the Kusho Pearl will turn on Naraku, sucking him into its inky depths as payment for trying to wield it.” She explained.
Everyone’s eyes widen at her words. “So in other words, Naraku has no real power over the Pearl, it has power over him?” Sango asked. Kagura’s smirk widens. “Bingo. The Kusho Pearl will kill Naraku, once the shard from (Y/N)’s back is removed.” She explained. Shippo chimed in. “Meaning that Naraku has no control over what the Kusho Pearl will absorb!!” He said. Everyone looked back at Shippo with a shocked face. He looked bewildered at everyone. “What?” He sheepishly yet confusingly asked.
Kagura stared down at him with a bemused look before she smirked once more as she closed her eyes in satisfaction. “I couldn’t have said it better myself.” She said before she stood up on the branch. Inuyasha looked up at her. “Where are you going, Kagura?” He asked. She looked over at him. “Where do you think? I’m going back to the castle. If I remain out for too long then Naraku will become suspicious.” She said in an annoyed voice.
Inuyasha glared at her, but he didn’t say anything else. With all of their silence, she took this as her time to leave. She snapped her fan open. “Oh, and one more thing.” She suddenly said. Everyone looked at her with expectancy. “The only one who can touch the Kusho Pearl is Kagome, so once Naraku is sealed within the Kusho Pearl it’ll be up to you to destroy it.” She said. Kagome’s eyes widen in slight panic. “But How am I supposed to break it?” She asked. Kagura shrugged. “Beats me, just do it how you broke the jewel.” She said carelessly before with an elegant swing of her arm she was surrounded by wind. Her voice however rang out through it. “I’ll be waiting for you lot at the castle, follow the scent of Oak Tress and Miasma.” She said before she completely vanished.
Everyone stared at the place where she was last seen before they were all pulled from their thoughts at Inuyasha. “Damn you, Naraku.” He said in a soft voice as he clenched his fists to his side. They all stared at him in worry, as they thought over what Kagura said.
✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝•͙͙✩ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ
Deep in the forest, not too far from where Inuyasha and his friends are camping for the night at, stood Sesshomaru. He was looking up at the half-moon, a thoughtless look on his face as he seemed to just bask in the light of the moon. Rin, Jaken, and A-Un were nowhere in sight, but they were at a camp not too far away. The wind blew by, and Sesshomaru looked over to his left. He watched as a tornado formed and the scent of Naraku filled the air. His eyes slightly narrowed but not with a threat. The tornado broke and Kagura was seen kneeling. ‘I have a bit more time to be out here, I might as well use it to try and convince Sesshomaru to aid me.’ She thought as she observed him.
He stared at her for a bit longer before he turned towards her. “What is it that you’ve come to bother this Sesshomaru with this time, Kagura?” He asked, his tone holding no expression, but she knew he was curious. She stood up straight, before she smirked. “I’m here for a proposal for you, Sesshomaru.” She said. He stared at her in silence and she continued. “I want to form an alliance with you, to kill Naraku once and for all.” She said in an alluring tune.
He didn’t react to her words, but he did ask. “And what proposal have you come with? For this Sesshomaru needs no alliance to slay Naraku.” He arrogantly said with disinterest. She wasn’t deterred by his words, and he seemed to notice this. She gave him a relaxed smirk. “Don't worry, I won’t be helping you to kill Naraku, you’ll have the honors to do that, alone. No, what I came with, will be even more alluring to your interest.” She said.
His brow twitched, and her smirk widen some. “Naraku has captured a woman, whom has quite the connection to you, and with her rescue, you shall be able to slay Naraku once and for all.” She said. He stared at her for a moment before he scoffed. “No woman means any importance to me.” Kagura wasn't bothered by his answer, and it showed as she never lost her smirk.
This caused Sesshomaru to be slightly irked, but he remained passive. “I have no time for your silly schemes, Kagura. Leave now, before I slay you.” He said as he turned back to where his companions lay, ready to walk away. But Kagura chuckled “Oh, I’d second think that thought, Sesshomaru, this certain Half-Demoness has quite the tie to you.” She said, expressing the word ‘Half-Demoness’. He stopped in his track, his eyes widen and he turned to look at her.
“Half-Demoness, you say?” He asked with intrest. Kagura’s eyes gleamed in the moonlight as she smirked mischievously. ‘Gotcha.’ She thought in triumph.
✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩ͯ•͙͙✧⃝•͙͙✩ͯ┄•͙✧⃝•͙┄✩̣̣̣̣̣ͯ
Kagura walked through the dark halls of the castle, her face was expressionless as she stared ahead of herself. ‘Sesshomaru will come when Inuyasha does, however, If he comes before Inuyasha does, then Naraku will immediately know of my betrayal.’ She thought as she walked. She stopped and took a look of shock when she saw Kohaku exit Naraku’s room. She watched him with a thoughtful look. ‘I would tell Kohaku of what I’ve done today, but Naraku has a tight grasp on Kohaku, and he’ll make him spill the beans. I can’t risk it. Until then, I’ll keep my endeavors to myself.’ She thought before she walked towards Naraku’s door.
She tapped on the wood with her fan, and she listened for his voice. “Come, Kagura.” He said. She opened the door, and her eyes widen when they landed on him. Naraku had you on his lap, your legs spread around his waist. Your back was facing her as your head rested on his shoulder. ‘What’s going on? Why is she practically naked?’ She thought in confusion as she observed your slanted figure. Your white kimono was pooled around your waist, your arms dangled lifeless to your sides and your eyes seemed dull and lifeless as you stared at the wall. “Close the door, Kagura.” Naraku ordered as he picked up a shard of the jewel. She obeyed without question as she watched him. “Do you know what I am doing, Kagura?” He asked, his smirk widening. She answered him in a monotone voice. “No, I don’t.” She answered honestly.
He clenched the fragment in his palm, making it pierce his hand. The blood coated the shard and a red aura shined from his hand. Kagura’s eyes widen. ‘He’s not going to do her like Kohaku? Is he?’ Kagura thought in shock, before she covered her mouth with her closed fan. ‘If so, then we may have an issue.’ She thought with slight worry. “Does this worry you, Kagura?” Naraku asked. Kagura’s blood ran cold, before she cursed herself. “No, not at all. I’m just confused about why you’re doing this.” She answered half honestly. Naraku hummed at her words before he opened his palm, revealing a red shard. Kagura stared on. ‘It’s red.’ She thought. “The shard is this color because I didn’t pump evil intentions into this shard, rather I pumped a rather annoying human emotion into it.” Naraku explained. She looked up at him with confusion.
“A human emotion?” She asked. He moved the shard to your back, pushing the shard into the skin of your back. Your arms twitched from the pain, but you made no sound or expression. “Onigumo’s heart beats love for Kikyo, it’s the strongest emotion within his heart. So I decided to take that nauseating emotion, and put it to good use.” He explained as he moved his hand back from your back. The skin healed and the red aura from the shard spread throughout your body. Kagura watched silently as the aura consumed you slowly.
Naraku continued to speak. “Since Onigumo’s love is so potent, I’d figured that I’d put that into her, making her undying loyal to me.” He said, a victorious gleam in his eyes as he watched the aura slowly disappear. Kagura’s eyes widen in realization. “You mean to tell me, that you made her fall in love with you?” She asked. He smirked as he looked up at her. “Precisely.” He said. “She will slowly fall in love with me, making her undoubtedly loyal to me and to me alone. She’ll crave my company, making her stay close to me no matter what.” He explained. Kagura’s eyes widen, but she controlled herself before panic could fill her.
‘Damn, what the hell made him change his original plan? Does he know that I’ve alerted the others?’ She thought as she studied him. ‘No, if he did, then he would’ve already threatened me by now… so what caused the sudden switch up?’ She asked herself. She was pulled from her racing mind when she saw a dark purple aura to her left. She looked over and she grew shocked. The Kusho Pearl was glowing. ‘What’s going on? Is it reacting to the extra shard?’ She thought. The sound of your grunting brought her attention to you and she stared at you with a curious gleam.
You seemed to be in pain as you slightly squirmed in his lap. ‘What’s happening?’ She thought. “The Kusho Pearl is giving her fake memories, while it takes hers for payment.” Naraku explained as he stared down at you with a curious yet uncaring stare. Kagura stared in shock. ‘Fake memories?’ Her eyes widen in understanding. ‘Is he doing this because of The Kusho Pearl’s behavior towards her? Is that why he suddenly changed plans?’ She thought, as she tried not to let annoyance slip into her.
Your squirming stopped, and your lifeless eyes slowly closed, and you breathed a sigh of relief as you fell asleep. Naraku smirked in triumph. “Now, to wait and see what happens when she awakens.” He said. Kagura glared at him. ‘Damn you, Naraku.’ She thought. Naraku chuckled before he looked up at Kagura making her gasp. “Now tell me, kagura, how did Inuyasha take the news of his beloved mother being my romantic partner?” He asked in a taunting matter before he evilly chuckled. Kagura glared at him with hatred.
You softly smiled to yourself as you snuggled into Naraku’s chest, happiness seeming to consume you as you slept peacefully.

I would like to do a request!
Head canons for Dabi, Hawks, Bakugo, Kirishima, and Aziawa with a civilian lover/partner?😩🫶 Maybe you could also add on how their friends react? I think it would be funny.👀
Plus any other you might wanna throw in <3
Ooh, I like this idea
Having a Civilian partner
Dabi
Tumblr media
It comes as a surprise that Dabi would be willing to date anyone
Let alone a civilian
But being in a relationship with him means you've got a very protective villain boyfriend
Since you're a civilian, it's most likely that you either don't have a particularly strong quirk, or your quirk less
Regardless, Dabi will raise hell the moment you're in danger
He keeps you away from his villain work for the most part, but the others do eventually find out about you
Shigaraki is hesitant to trust you, but seeing your loyalty to Dabi, he learns to tolerate your presence
Kurogiri is more friendly, if not a little quiet
Toga really likes you since she's the only female member in the League of Villains
You may not be a part of their group, but she likes spending time with you
Twice likes you a lot as well, despite his conflicting statements at times
Spinner is indifferent
Hawks
Tumblr media
Hawks absolutely adores you
You may not be a hero like him, but he doesn't care
Sure he may be judged for being in a relationship with a civilian, but he doesn't care
The fact that you're a civilian makes him want to protect you
He's especially on edge when the two of you are out in public since he knows that some villains might try to take advantage of how much he cares for you
He'll have an arm wrapped around you, keeping you close
When there's paparazzi around, he'll hide your face with his wings so they can't see you
Mirkou is the first of his friends you meet, and she instantly takes a liking to you
She tells you that if Hawks ever upsets you to come to her and she'll handle it
You met Endeavour by accident, and it didn't go well
He doesn't really respect you and Hawks' relationship, but you don't pay attention to that
At least you get along with one of his friends
Though you don't notice the person watching you, covered in scars....
Bakugo
Tumblr media
Bakugo came off a standoffish when he meets you
He used to look down on people who weren't aiming to become heroes, but over time he's become a better person
Eventually, he finally admits that he likes you, and soon, the two of you are in a relationship
You ask about his friends, and he tells you he doesn't have any friends in his class
Kirishima would beg to differ
You end up meeting his classmates by accident when the two of you are out on a date
The Bakusquad notice the two of you and are shocked to see him with you
Mina runs up to the both of you, teasing Bakugo about the fact that he has a girlfriend
Kirishima, Sero, and Denki are all joining in as well
To be honest, they don't even realize that you weren't a hero in training
They really don't care
Mina immediately wants to be best friends since she's the only girl in the friend group
Meanwhile Kirishima, Sero, and Denki are asking you about any embarrassing stories you can tell the about Bakugo
Your boyfriend drags you away after that
Kirishima
Tumblr media
You met Kirishima during middle school
He asked you our right before he began attending UA, promising that your relationship would last
Despite the two of you attending two different schools, you still meet up often
He doesn't try and hide your relationship, in fact, he mentions it to his friends when they ask if he's in a relationship
Mina,Denki, and Sero are all super excited, asking if they could ever meet you
Bakugo could care less
Kirishima decided to take his friends to meet you
Of course Bakugo is dragged along despite his protests
Mina immediately takes a liking to you and asks you a lot of questions
Denki and Sero are teasing Kirishima playfully
And Bakugo is staying silent
None of them judge you for not wanting to be a hero
Not even Bakugo
Aizawa
Tumblr media
Aizawa doesn't care if you're a hero or civilian
Though he does enjoy the peace that being in a relationship with a civilian brings since you aren't in the spotlight
Though since he is a hero, he's often busy
But he always finds a way to spend time with you regardless
He doesn't talk much about his hero work since he wants to keep it separate from his life as a hero
Aizawa is very caring, even if he can come off a cold sometimes
Though you're one of the few people who has seen his soft side
He often worries that due to his hero work, you'll be targeted
Because of that, he can be a bit protective
He also, doesn't tell a lot of people about you. Not even his friends
Though they do eventually find out
Present Mic and Midnight insist on meeting you and eventually, Aizawa relents
Midnight immediately takes a liking to you, complimenting how pretty you are
She tells you that if Aizawa ever hurts you, she'll take care of him
Present Mic spends most of the time teasing your boyfriend
Needless to say they both adore you

Thank you @neutronstarchild for tagging me (and lending me the banner you made!)
Rules: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20, just list them all!). See if there are any patterns. Choose your favorite opening line. Then tag 10 of your favorite authors!
So, I don't have 20 stories written (if my ideas would jump from my brain into paper that would be very nice, thankyouverymuch), thus you will see all 5 of my babies, also, "line" means I can add more than just the very first sentence, right? Don't mind if I do.
What did I learn? That I love writing Kikyou! But I already knew that. Otherwise, I don't know, you tell me? And my favourite has to be Kokoro no Kakera. That one will always remain special.
I would love to see some non InuKag people get involved, so here are some of my favorite writers: @gaykagome @kagkik @drosselmeyerwrites @mythicamagic @pointyobjects @maddieson-san
Stories behind the cut!
In the Castle of the Jewel:
The people are all long gone.
The Best I Ever Had:
“No. Absolutely fucking not. It’s one thing that you want that woman in my video, but she would torture me? Forget it, Mirkou.”
Kokoro no Kakera:
She didn’t remember how she got there; she only knew that it was cold. Colder than usual. Her fragile, brittle body was dissolving in the icy water and miasma.
Sleepless:
She couldn’t sleep. It had been hours of tossing and turning in her bed, waiting for the sweet relief of dreams to finally claim her, to clear her mind, to calm her body.
A Piece of Cake: (this is a ficlet collection, so you get two for one)
“Higurashi! Wait a minute!” The guy with the straw blonde hair ran after her, his palms planted on his knees as he was trying to calm his breathing.
She enjoyed every second of it. The moment she shot her arrow through his heart.

How MHA would support you creatively pt. 2
Kirishima x any- He’s so good about saving, tagging and sharing your content. Will brag about you to anyone that will listen. He also refuses any discounts when buying from you.
Nejire x photographer- uses her quirk to get cool shots for you, has your work on all of her socials. She loves watching you create aesthetics. Will def suggest fun places that fit themes.
Todoroki x wine/coffee brewery- Displays your packaging in the most beautiful places. isn’t caught dead drinking anything else.
Bakugou x dancer- Helps you stretch, supplies you with so many Dynamite brand work out things so you can wear them to practice. He’s never missed a performance, if he can’t be there in person he has Kiri or Midoryia zoom it in for him.
Mirio x traditional artist- If you do those bigger murals he’ll beg for one on his wall. When he slips through the barrier it makes him feel like he’s part of your art. like he was in some small part an inspiration.
Tamaki x author- Will eat things that pertains to elements of your stories. Have a kraken? time to eat some squid and get some (light) experience. Need to know how an angels wings could potentially feel? He’s got you.
Midnight x any- She is adamant about your creative time. When its time for you to sit down and work on your things there is a glass of water and trail mix in your work space. Evenly rationed work to break time and anything else you may need.
Mirkou x ren fair- LOVES to dress up with you. She was really skeptical at first, but after her first time going she is in full throttle. She adores the loud energy and acceptance. You two are def getting semi matching outfits (like matching vest/corset), but her favorite is chainmail and armor. “women with swords” is the vibe.

I was thinking about doing jjk next.

Hell hath no fury
A modern Au I guess? I guess the prompt is jealousy and scorn? its what I have in mind, hope you enjoy!
Kagome knew what prompted her to come to this bank, she however would never tell the withered toad demon before her that she was here to ensure Inuyasha would come and try to find her, and become hopefully jealous. She frowned as the toad looked over her credentials, then back to her several times. She also didn’t reveal she could see the demons true form under the illusory veil of magic that would have made him look like a old man.
“These are quite good.” he told her, and she beamed at him, but he still frowned. “You worked at... HIS store?” the demon asked.
“Yes sir.” Kagome said. Inuyasha owned a very small import store, and recently growing in popularity they had opened an actual storefront and hired another to help. A woman called Kikyo who Inuyasha could not keep his eyes off of. Kagome did not quit, she did not run off in a huff back to her family shrine, she did not look up and find his older brother, who owned a small but very old bank, which was hiring. She did not do these things as was not set out to make sure that Inuyasha knew that she was going to be working with his older brother, who the hanyo was very much jealous over for ANYTHING. Let alone a ‘woman’ that was the hanyo’s.
“AH!” the demon toad said and looked behind her. Kagome flinched as she turned and stared up at the demon who had sneaked up behind her. She couldn’t even see the true demonic form he had, and instead saw the layers of two forms. The one most people would see, a officious looking man, tall with black business styled hair, and the human like form he might take. Long white hair, with purple markings on his cheeks, and a blue crescent moon on his forehead. His yellow eyes almost glittered as he looked her over and sniffed at her.
“Jaken, do you not realize this is a miko?” he asked the toad demon. Kagome blinked.
“I... was a miko, my family has a shrine.” she told him uneasily. He made a noise in the back of his throat as Jaken looked to her then back to what had to be Sesshomaru. There was a family resemblance, with Inuyasha being a less... Kagome looked away from him back to Jaken, refined man.
“My... my lord she can see us?” Jaken asked him, Kagome froze, one didn’t tell a creature that could kill you that you could indeed see its true form. Demons were not... unnatural as it were in the world. They did however prefer to live in more anonymity, it was a rare few that revealed themselves to the world. Most of which were in the music industry ironically enough. Hanyo were common, but most wore hats, like Inuyasha, or clothes that hid their half nature until they gained control enough to hide such things. Attacks were utterly uncommon and usually the offender was killed outright.
“See what?” Kagome asked and flinched as a clawed hand touched her shoulder prompting her to look back to Sesshomaru. “I have no idea what you mean sir.”
“You were with my brother.” Sesshomaru told her and she flinched. “I can smell him on your clothes.”
“I have NO idea what you are talking about sir.” Kagome said, and brushed his hand off her shoulder straightening her back and shutting her eyes to look affronted as possible.
“Hnn...Jaken. Get out.” The toad demon quickly complied, and Sesshomaru took the seat behind the desk. “WHY are you here miko?” he asked her.
“I AM NOT A MIKO. My name is KA-GO-ME.” she snapped to him.
“If you want this job then tell me the truth, Kagome.” he told her, and she looked away from from with a frown.
“I... I want to make... your brother jealous.” she told him and flushed in shame at her actions. It was stupid, but one thing she could say for herself is that the moment she had made up her mind she was not going to stop. He snorted, and actually smiled at her.
“Is that all?” he questioned.
“YES, Okay I can see demons what of it? I don’t like to talk about it!” she crossed her arms over her chest and glared at the demon before her defiantly. “If I can make him jealous then he’d stop flirting with Kikyo!” Sesshomaru made another noise in the back of his throat.
“So, that is your only reason for applying here?” he questioned, and she flushed in shame but nodded. “Then you are hired.” Kagome blinked in confusion as a smirk played on the demons face, she could see the family resemblance all the more in that smirk.
“What?” she questioned.
“If my brother does not see value in you miko, then he is a fool.” he told her. “Your kind tend to avoid places that harbor demons.” she just blinked at him.
“My... my kind?” she asked.
“Evidently you are untrained, a simple matter to fix.” he stood up and walked around the desk offering his hand to hers. She took it and he helped her to stand as she just shifted in confusion.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” she confessed honestly.
“I know this, which is why you will be trained. An ASSET like you will be a fine addition to mine.” Kagome had no real reason to blush, but looked down to her feet so that no one could see it.
“Are... are you going to tell me anything?” she asked him softly, casting a glance to a blue ogre that was currently typing slowly on a computer using only his pinky fingers for his hands were to big to not hit other keys with his other fingers.
“You will learn what you are, eventually.” he replied and ushered her into a small office with another occupant, a human male. “Miroku.” Sesshomaru said simply. The man stood at attention, and cast a look to Kagome his eyes widening just a bit looking at her.
“Please tell me he didn’t kidnap you.” Miroku said.
“What?” she asked unsurely.
“His father owes me money, so he is working for me to pay off his fathers debts.” Sesshomaru told her. “You, monk, know this girls power?” Miroku opened his mouth to speak, but thought better of it and simply nodded. “Good, train her, and the debt is paid in full.” Sesshomaru left her with Miroku without so much as a glance back to her or a farewell.
“FINE! See you later jerk!” She snapped just under her breath. Miroku looked over her, and then guided her to the only other desk.
“Okay, look, I’m Miroku, what is your name?” he asked her she huffed.
“Kagome.” she said simply. He nodded and shifted a bit uneasily.
“So you really...alright. So he called you a Miko I’m guessing?” Kagome glared at the human. “Its not just a title, but its also...” Miroku paused, “Something you are. You... have... purity in you I guess? I think Sesshomaru wants you to learn how to shield this place? Probably.” Kagome just stared at him. the man sighed, and grabbed at a very much dead plant on his desk and plopped it into her lap. The plant shivered, and then with a strange feeling like energy was being pulled out from her it began to grow, and quickly flowered into a small bonsai tree.
She stared at the plant, as he took it from her and placed it what was now her desk. “I’m not so good at shielding, I’m more of an exorcist...” Miroku said and glanced at the still twisting tree as it still was growing in its pot. Kagome could not take her eyes off the plant, and couldn’t believe that she had done such a thing just by touching it. While yes she had a green thumb, she never seen such a reaction in a plant before.
“Uhh... what... what is happening?” she asked the human.
“You’re a priestess, well... I guess will be one. Right now you’re a miko, a trainee. Why didn’t your family train you?” he asked her. Kagome tried to find an answer, her grandfather was the owner of the shrine, and her father had died years and years ago. Her mother and brother showed no sign of this sort of thing, and she had guess maybe she took after her father but her grandfather refused to let her do anything other then chores about the shrine.
“I don’t know...” she said honestly, and tried to think maybe the car accident that killed her father wasn’t so clear cut anymore. Could a demon have killed him? Kagome’s heart raced painfully in her chest and she quickly repressed her thoughts. There was time to learn about such things, and if it was a demon who killed him, then she could evidently learn to KILL it right? All thoughts of making Inuyasha jealous fled her mind, she wanted to learn about this, and stared at Mirkou. “I want to learn what all this is.” she told him strongly.
“Well that’s good.” he replied and gave her a smile. “Umm... say... would you like to go out after work for drinks?” he asked.
“NO.” she snapped, and he flinched.
“ha ha, fair enough. Its just you are really cute.” she glared at him.
“Fantastic, a bank full of demons and I get the only pervert.” she mumbled.
Sesshomaru had been surprised when a priestess entered his firm, but the longer she stayed, he realized the girl was completely untrained. It was odd to see, most spent their lives ensuring demons like him didn’t run about eating humans anymore. While demons weren’t unknown anymore, it was the odd ducks that tended to reveal their natures, and mostly the safe sort of creatures. There was a well known siren vocalist for a horrid band after all, but most stayed hidden. How had such a latently powerful creature come to pass? He didn’t much care, now he had her.
Now he could have an added layer of protection for his bank once she was trained, and conform to the standards set out to ensure humanities safety. If he had another, and fairly strong from the way it beat off her, then none of the others would fault him. Finally he could get the priests off his back, despite that HE could control his own people, they should be very much stated with his choice. Almost on cue, Midoriko was put forth into his official office and glared down at him. Word passed fast in his and her’s world.
“So finally found another priestess?” she demanded. Hoping it was a no, so she could finally actually bring him to action. Sesshomaru smiled to her a very careful smile.
“Yes. Quite a powerful one. Untrained, but that is quickly remedied. Should you wish to take her on as well.” he told the priestess casually. She flinched and grimaced at him. “But she would still have her duties HERE to ensure first should you wish to take her on.” Midoriko glanced towards where the miko would be, and her face twisted.
“HOW... her family...” she gaped angrily. “I will look into this, LORD Sesshomaru.” she snapped, and left quickly. Threat gone, the old lord let the veil that would ensure he looked human go, so he could relax with the knowledge he had not only ensured the continued survival of his bank. Which Midoriko had striven erase ever since the woman had come to her full power. But also acquired the scorned female from his brother. If his little brother could not see the value in her, then he was more a fool then once thought.
Hopefully once the likely jealous provoking was done, she would choose to stay, he could not force a matter and would not. Midoriko would have more then just words to say should he even consider such a notion, likely the woman would once done investigating how such a miko could go untrained happened, she would start training the girl, and even better. Training her to work for him, which would be more then just a wound to the woman, it would be a seeping sore of pride. It was a truly wonderful notion, and very delicious meal to even think of the priestess truly put off.
Yes he would use the miko, Kagome, his mind supplied her name, but was she not using him as well? May as well, make it mutual.
