Fairbanks…another death on my hands. Thank you, Miriam, for saying this in person. I can' t order you around, but our mission is similar. I want her alive and on trial. Go to Kirkwall, but before you do, rest…the Inquisition will be your home. I was able to get through this show and honestly? I don't know how I feel. But one thing I know for sure, Allaros wouldn't have discarded Miriam if she'd come to him. Allaros honey, you're scaring me WHY YOU NEEDED THIS ARTEFACT, WHO DID YOU DECIDE TO RESTORE.

Speaking AS a Lavellan player, yeah it kinda sucks lmao. It’s very difficult for me to justify my Lavellan hanging around, especially once they make it clear that she’s not a prisoner.

The only reason I was able to justify it is by saying my Lavellan (who was born a Surana and taken in by the Dalish when they killed the templars taking her to the Circle) has always felt like an oddball within her clan anyway and was itching to find her own way. Getting caught up in events where she’s super duper special actually was intoxicating enough for her to stick around.

To be honest, it’s the same reason I struggled to make a Mahariel in Origins. Every time I play the origin story, my Mahariel was always “look you’ll have to kill me then because I am NOT going with Duncan.” Just could not RP one that would go along with those shenanigans.

I’m pleased with the backstory I’ve given my Lavellan and have never been able to get attached to any of my other Inquisitors, but in the game as presented, it is very disconnected.

Actually, now that I think about it, I felt like ALL of the player backgrounds were disconnected and felt like pointless details. Some are easier to RP as being willing to go along with the plot than others but the Inquisitor is by far the weakest protagonist of the three games for me.

is playing lavellan not just like. miserable . i dont mean this in a derogatory way this is a genuine question abt the experience

Commission of my elf mage Warden and Inquisitor, who are sisters in my worldstate. (Clan Lavellan took in Miriam after skirmishing with the templars who were taking her to the Circle.) They were so young when they were separated that their only real memories of the other are making flowers crowns for toads together. 🥺❤️
