Wouldn't it be fucked up to visit a wax museum and look your younger self in the eyes.

Wouldn't it be fucked up to know that the 'you' people find worth preserving is a 'you' you can never go back to, maybe never were to begin with. That the 'you' that the people find worth preserving is one without so fundamentally without personhood, without agency.

Wouldn't it be fucked up if the way people immortalized you was as an accessory to your mother, 'your' wax seamlessly pushed against her wax as the wax mother holds 'you' so fondly, yet so distantly, 'you' looking at her but not her to you. Your name isn't even on the placard at her feet, just hers. Wouldn't it be fucked up if this is the first time you had seen your mother in four years, and here she is, reminding you that you'll never escape her?

So, I just had this idea for a Secret Quartet fic:

After Hawkmoth/Monarch’s defeat, Adrien talks to Jake/Danny about how Ladybug still isn’t willing to do an identiy reveal. They end up bringing up the possiblity of Alternate Timelines (which are supported for his end by the event where Sass used his powers without a wielder). One thing leads to another and Adrien & Danny visit Clockwork, who shows Adrien What Ladybug Knows (without sound, of course, to avoid Spoilers)

Ooh, that would be fun! Adrien might very well suspect she's not being wholly honest with him in this. He knows her well, after all. But he also knows she clearly doesn't want to talk overly much about it, so getting answers a different way makes sense.

He expects he'll find out what he missed in her last battle.

He doesn't expect to find out how badly things could have gone wrong.

While Adrien's trying to digest the whole Chat Blanc future (even if he doesn't know what spurs that future beyond getting akumatized; Clockwork might well edit what he shows), Danny--assuming he's still present--could be mentally comparing it to his averted future and trying to figure out how to comfort Adrien when he's still not exactly comfortable with the whole nearly-could-have-been future himself.

It's all a distraction, of course, because Clockwork is not going to play things straight and simple. Show them bits here and there, give them enough of an answer to be satisfied without revealing anything that's not quite ready to be revealed. Cards played right aren't questioned.

Really, it might have worked wonderfully if Bunnyx hadn't chosen that moment to drop by--but she'd have known that, of course. She'd have chosen that moment specifically because of that. She's good at picking out the proper threads of the timeline for someone so young, and she's aware of the consequences of what she does, but that doesn't mean she's not above bending the rules when she finds some flexibility within them, ready to be exploited, where she can nudge things one way or another without nudging everything onto the wrong course.

Is Miraculous Ladybug/ Persona a crossover that's been done? Because I've been playing Persona 5 recently and my Ladybug fixation is starting to rise from the ashes, and today those two things got jumbled in my head.

So... Kwamis behaving kinda like equippable Personas in the metaverse. Tikki's a Bless element with healing and Plagg is Curse focusing on insta-kills...

The Phantom Thieves vs. Hawkmoth. What's the form of Gabriel's Palace?

One notion I had for merging the Miraculous powers with the SMT/Persona cosmos is instead of just turning people into monsters, akumas distort reality around the victims, basically building a Palace that imposes on the real world. The "akumatized" person is like the Treasure, trapped in the heart of the Palace while their akuma-warped Shadow becomes the supervillain that needs to be fought.

lately I’ve seem some Chloe/juleka fanfic ship on tumblr and it got me thinking how that pair would work, I got some ideas, but when it comes to ships in miraculous ladybug you seem to be the master (in my opinion at least) so how would you develop a Chloe/juleka romance. I’m kinda curious.

Woo, this is a hard one. I very much vibe them as friends/coworkers as years go by, or even in laws. 🤣. I am also so very loathe to break up Julrose. They are a precious gem.

I think in order for Chloleka to work you would see the biggest shift on Chloé's end. That itself makes it fascinating. We will assume a world in which Rose is in fact much more interested in Ali, so Julerose doesn't happen, but there is no sadness/drama about it. Rose can still be a good friend.

Next I'm going to go with S4. Luka and Chloé cross paths. He's 'cute' and apparently was a hero right? So she will give him the time of day. Conversely he's curious about this person he has heard so much about from various people.

Luka here is playing a role much more similar to what he does for Adrienette and people in general. He's slow, calm, and patient. He has a vested interest in trying to get a connection, just a basic social one, for Juleka's sake.

After a little coaching Chloé starts to connect(as Luka wanted her to) the troubles she has been going through(with no one seeing) to the situation that Juleka too has been hurt(by her) but people don't really see a lot of what goes on with Juleka.

So it's a more subdued Chloé who is introduced(Via Luka) to Juleka. Juleka on her part doesn't understand what this is about either but she trusts her brother.

And here it the point of connection- They are both introverts.

We actually *see* Chloé exhibiting a lot of introvert behaviors in her more sincere moments. She performs extrovert because she *has* to. She's been trained and forced against her tendencies with this as much as anything, but how much time does she really spend around people?

Meanwhile most everyone mistakes Juleka's introversion for just plain 'shyness'. Even her well meaning friends just think she needs to 'open up' and 'hang out more'.

So it starts off with a lot of silences because it's awkward, but they both *like* silences, and start to realize this. They speak infrequently, but the words are meaningful when they come. Gestures and simply drawing attention to something becomes their own rudimentary 'language' which grows as they interact. They can have entire conversations without words, and don't even need those often.

Luka at first isn't even sure his plan is nearing fruit. There's no big moment or grand gesture(that's the point) Juleka just... relaxes. There's not some big shift in class, if anything Chloé is more quiet than she has been. (Lila's overtures fail) It's actually a while before everyone catches up.

That's okay, it's not their business.

We progress to a Juleka who *does* do modeling, but 'on stage' and 'at home' Juleka is still very different.

We get a Chloé who is quieter and more diligent. She still wants things done, but has dropped screaming as a solution. Doesn't mean people won't still be fired though. 🤣

Rose and Sabrina will become good friends as 'friends of friends' and I think that with Juleka in her life Chloé will feel less need to 'possess' Sabrina(afraid of being abandoned) so we can shift Sabs to a new role herself. She's still always be a helper though, so maybe she will become an intermediary for her boss.
