Marisol Rivera Madrigal Headcanons;

Her full name is Marisol Carmela Victoria Rivera Madrigal.

She is eleven years old by d3 and a triplet (the other 2/3s are named Marcelo and Mariana Rivera Madrigal). 

She has two younger sisters who are five and six respectively named Renata and Vera. 

She has the gift of Geokinesis (aka Earth Bending). 

She is the oldest daughter of Miguel Rivera and Mirabel Madrigal (the oldest triplet by three minutes).

She has her father's skin tone (she's a bit darker than her mom) when she's older with short choppy black hair and dark brown eyes. Has scars on her feet from accidents with her gift and one under her hair from dropping a ton of rocks on her hair.

She's been told that she looks like her tía Isabela, her bisabuela Alma, and her parental great-great-great grandmother, Imelda. Which considering she gets along with the three of them the best (or imagines she would in the case of Imelda), she takes enormous pride in. 

She's also been told she has her father's smile. 

Her birthday is October 25th—making Marcelo, Mariana, and her all Scorpios. 

Marisol thinks astrology and astronomy are interesting. She also really likes Antonio, Bruno, and Isabela's rooms because she thinks they're cool. 

The eleven year old also really loves bows and insists that bows are cool.

Her favorite colors are pink, green, light blue, and white. But mainly pink. 

She, however, despises the color ‘yellow’. 

Marisol's favorite aunt is Isabela and she doesn't even try to hide it. 

While she says that she doesn't have a favorite holiday because it's ‘childish’, her favorite holiday is actually Ancestry Day. It's Marisol’s favorite because she loves learning about her family history. 

Marisol has helped Marcelo write down his recipes and has made a little book about their family with him and Mariana as practice for when they’re grown ups (since she and Mariana both want to work with books when they're older). 

Marisol is a student at the Encanto's only public school for now but fully intends on intending Auradon Prep or another school outside of the Encanto once she's old enough.

She wants to go to college like her primas Princesa and Elmira.

Her choice of school currently is Sherwood University. 

Marisol also enjoys writing and reading and really wants to be an author, narrator, or professional audiobook reader when she grows up. Though she'd settle for a director or a script writer if she couldn't have any of her top three picks. 

She's really insecure about how her voice sounds. 

She collects rocks. 

She pretends that she gets dragged into her siblings and cousins’ shenanigans but the truth is she causes just as many shenanigans and is just better at hiding it.

Casita adores her and the rest of her siblings the most out of her generation, but she is the clear favorite since Casita will help her sneak out occasionally (as shown below in the concept art).

Marisol is fascinated by Isabela's creations—her potato people especially—and plays with them often. 

Bruno is her favorite great uncle because he tells the best stories and he lets her play with his rats. 

Marisol (as shown in this concept art) often reads out stories for the potato people and Bruno's rats to act out…. It's gotten out of hand more times than she'd like to admit it. 

Despite the fact that her siblings often annoy her with their refusal to ‘act like adults’, Marcelo and Mariana are her clear favorites in the sibling category.

Belinda is her favorite cousin because ‘they are the only ones who know how to act like adults’. 

Marisol desperately wants to be seen as mature and responsible, because she wants to be treated as an adult (aka grow up too soon). She actually matures as she gets older though and stops putting too much emphasis on it. 

She is single and uninterested in romance currently, and Barbara Hood, Maria Hood, Gronosis of Camelot, Garanwyn of Camelot, and Tulip Rossi.

Also it should be noted that if you have a problem with Marisol's siblings or cousins (especially Marcelo and Mariana), then you have a problem with her because she will absolutely not be friends with someone who shit talks her family in more than a friendly manner. Only she can be mean to her family, thank you very much. 

Marisol has been described as easily annoyed/irritable, independent, solemn, sneaky, introverted, well-mannered, curious, rational, and clever. But she's also been described as brave, creative, graceful, imaginative, and intuitive.

She can also be really insecure and paranoid, though she tries not to show it. 

Marisol has a pet groundhog that Antonio gave her named Clover. She adores him. 

She also has a worm and ant farm. Yes, she's named all of them individually. 

The bow Marisol is seen constantly wearing was a gift from Isabela. 

The eleven year old once refused to believe that Santa Claus was real for three years until she and her siblings saw him with their very own eyes. 

She also used to be really jealous of Mariana because she thought that since she was named after Isabela, that meant Mariana was Isabela's favorite and not her (spoiler: Mariana is not Isabela's favorite). 

Her favorite animals are dogs, worms, ants, moles, and groundhogs. 

She destress-es by taking long bubble baths.

Her favorite band is The Dragon Slayers and her favorite song of theirs is ‘Take Back The Knight’: she has their band poster in their room. 

Her second favorite musician is Celia Cruz and her third favorite is a tie between Mirabel Madrigal, Hector Rivera, and Miguel Rivera but if anyone asks her she’ll say that her parents are her first favorite because she doesn’t want to hurt their feelings. 

Marisol is not very interested in video games but occasionally plays them when her siblings, cousins, and friends bug her enough—her favorite of these games is ‘Plants Vs. Dragons’. 

Marisol won’t admit it but she’s terrified of dragons. 

Her favorite movie is ‘Spookley the Square Pumpkin’.

She is subscribed to some of the Auradon magazines (Dolores and Isabela got her hooked on them)—Royal Digest, Vanity Fairy, and National Aristocratic in particular. 

Marisol is up to date on all of the gossip at Auradon Prep and other schools because her cousins tell her everything (that’s age appropriate). They’ve also given her articles from the school and she is absolutely enamoured with the mystery of the ‘lunchroom stalker’ (whoever recorded the footage in the cafeteria) and insists that it was either Lonnie or Jordan. 

Her favorite vk is Evie and her least favorite is Mal. Not because of anything she’s done, she’s just scared because Mal can turn into a dragon. 

This has backfired because they told her about the Madam Mim Dragon Incident and the Maleficent Dragon Incident, which only made her more scared of them. 

Everyone thinks that Mariana was the worst of the triplets when they were toddlers but if anyone were to ask Mirabel and Miguel they would actually point out that it was Marisol, who all the adults remember as a little terror (seen here).

She often sits in her windowsill to read.

When Marisol gets stressed/has a breakdown, the plants in her room start dying and she is unable to remove any of her books from their shelves because they grow longer the more she tries. Sometimes books even fly with the aim to hit someone when she's overwhelmed instead of just floating to her as they usually do (as shown below).

She has a lantern that uses to get around her room and Casita at night.

As seen by Bruno in a vision, this is what she looks up as an adult (as shown below).

The eleven year old has told Marcelo that she will, under no circumstances, ever try the isle food because it will likely kill her due to how health code violations aren’t a thing over there—and she’s also recommended he not try it either. This caused many arguments between the two and Mariana, who of course, had her own opinion.

She also refuses to put any of the hair care products or potions /medicines from there anywhere on or in her person without testing it on something first because she claims it’s risky.

The earth bender wants to have social media (mainly InsyaRoyal) so badly but her parents refuse to allow it until she’s at least the age Mirabel was when Casita fell, much to her disappointment. They let her watch Auratube though.

Her favorite channel in Auradon is Fairy Planet and her favorite Auradon shows are ‘Little Dwarves, Big Giants’ and ‘Aurora The Explorer.’ She also likes ‘Auradon’s Classiest Home Videos’ but she can’t stand ‘The Young And The Crownless’.

She also secretly likes ‘Real Princesses Of Charmingsville’ but can’t really be open about that because technically she’s not allowed to be watching it (Isabela and Dolores both let her watch it).

She has a stuffed rat that her mom made her as a baby that she named ‘Pinkie’.

Jordan is her favorite Auratuber.

Her favorite food that Julieta makes is “Make Your Family Proud” Sticky Rice Arroz atollado (which is Julieta’s favorite food too) and her favorite dessert she makes is Guava and Cheese Mini Bites Bocadillo Con Queso. Her favorite drink is Passion Fruit Butterfly Bliss.

Marisol has been nicknamed Mari, Sol, little earth, little soil, Rompetierras, Pequeña rompehielos, and little earth shaker. Depending on who is calling her what, she may or may not respond.

Her favorite place to visit in Auradon is ‘Mad For Tea’.

Marisol was so scared during her gift ceremony that Isabela gave her a flower to give her courage after she slipped away from her parents.

Mariana and Marisol can out argue Isabela and Mirabel, much to everyone’s displeasure.

No one can out argue a Madrigal—even if they're eleven (aka Marisol).

Eventually Marisol gets green and pink, round rimmed glasses that are much like her mother’s when she gets older.

When asked which parent she gets along with better she just shrugs and says she gets along with them both fine enough.

Marisol’s favorite flower is the same as her mother—a daisy.

She works really hard to do well in school but struggles because she has undiagnosed Dysgraphia that she doesn’t want to bother her family with since they’re busy with her cousin and sibling’s (and the adults’) own issues.

Marisol wants to be just like her Tía Isabela, Bisabuela Alma, and her great-great-great grandmother, Imelda, when she grows up.

Her favorite Auradon play is ‘The Old Stand’.

Her door depicts Marisol standing on a floating piece of earth, rocks floating all around her as she examines them.

Her room has a secret passage that leads to several different places... including the kitchen cabinets. It is hidden in a stone wall behind the stone outline of a stone door with an eye on it that she bended into the door (there are other stone carvings on this wall too).

There is a hole in the door outline. When Marisol sticks her makeshift door knob in it, it opens the passage up and allows or her to go through it. It also leads to Bruno's place behind the walls.

Marisol's bed is suspended off the ground by vines and looks a lot like Isabela's bed, but with dark pink and white vertically striped sheets.

Also Casita has done the above to Marisol. But only once because actually no one was happy with her for doing that.

Her room is a wide expanse full of earth and plant life with stone structures like statues, benches, and bridges, but it is not entirely that. There is a little area that is much like a regular room with mint green wallpaper and a wooden floor that is decorated with plants. It has a little area that holds her rock collection on one wall, a wooden stand that holds a tv, a recorder player, and a radio. On another wall, there is a floral writer’s desk where her writing supplies and laptop rest. 

She has a little statue there as well so she can practice the instruments she wants to play. Beside that is a closet that holds her close and the hidden chest in which she hides her ‘baby’ stuff (aka her stuffed animals and blankie). 

Marisol’s walls are decorated with posters, family photos, and drawings.

She also has a wide collection of books and a white board for her to brainstorm on—she also has a circular window that she can sit on above her book cases. It has a stained picture of earth on it. Furthur in her room is another window in which she tends to sneak out of that is big enough for her to easily slip out of. 

The other kids absolutely know that Marisol sneaks out and are sitting on that information for if they ever need a 'get out of jail' card.

Mirabel and Miguel would never say this but they wish she'd stop trying to grow up too fast.

Marisol sometimes feels sad that she's not Vera or Renata's favorite sibling but would deny it if asked (Marcelo is Renata's favorite and Mariana is Vera's favorite older sibling).

Marisol’s favorite candy is fairy bubble gum but she has to sneak it because Alma banned it from the house after it nearly caused Marisol to float off when she was six. Her second favorite is Chocolates Madrigal. 

Her favorite book is a tie between ‘The Tales of Flynnigan Ryder’ and ‘The Little Earth Shaker’.

She's read all of the Fotogramas magazines.

These are some of the characters I would like to see in Kingdom Hearts, Sora visits their home worlds or simply has them as summon characters. 1. Jim Hawkins (as many of us are waiting for the day Treasure Planet joins the KH universe) 2. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (as  a keyblade master like his mousy brother) 3. Moana (as a possible Princess of Hearts) 4. Tiana (also as a possible Princess of Hearts) 5. Mirabel (since Alice is the none princess member of the previous Princesses of Hearts) 6. Miguel (from the life and death theme that is rumoured to be part of the KHIV plot) 7. Merida (possibly as a summon character) 8 Milo and Kida (they are a pair and people would also like to see Atlantis the Lost Empire as a KH world) 9. The Manhattan Clan (who doesn't love Gargoyles and would like to see KH focus on classic Disney TV shows that just films alone) 10. The Parr/Incredibles Family (we mostly see the bonded heart affect on friends and lovers than families) I wanted to add in Lightning of Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning Saga, but company who creates the FF games no longer has rights to Kingdom Hearts. “ Muy bien todas, dinner is ready!”

Dinner had always been the most important part of the day for the Madrigals, besides breakfast. It was the time of day when everyone came home from doing their chores and activities, and could just sit down and relax and eat as a family. 

And now that Julieta no longer had to make everything by herself, it had become a sort of group activity, with the kids offering their help to her, even Alma offered her cooking wisdom!

They all trickled into the dining room, including Mariano, whom Dolores had invited to dinner. Everyone was here! 

Everyone, except…

“Where’s Bruno and Miguel?” Mirabel looked at the two empty seats that would usually house the inseparable two. “They’re usually here by now…”

“I think I last saw them heading to their room,” Julieta said, placing down the last of the rice on the table. 

“I can go up and get the-”

“No need, Mirabel, I can do it today,” Alma assured her, slowly getting out of her seat just as her granddaughter was getting out of her seat. 

“Oh, are you sure, Abuela? I don’t really mind if-”

“No, I insist, you’ve done enough work today, and you deserve a bit of rest,” Abuela patted Mirabel on the shoulder, putting her back in her seat, and left the dining room. 

“¡ Gracias, Abuela!”

“That was nice of her, don’t you think?” Julieta sat down next to Pepa, as she usually did.

“Yeah, it was, but what do you think they’re doing?” Pepa moved some corn onto her plate.

Julieta shrugged. “I wouldn’t know. Maybe they’re working on a project? I know Miguel helps out with Bruno’s ‘rat novelas’ sometimes.”

“Maybe! Or maybe they’re upstairs making dulce, dulce amor !” Pepa joked, holding her hands up to her cheek in mock whimsy.

Instead of a small chuckle or a scolding, as Pepa was expecting, she saw the color drain out of Julieta’s face.

“Y-you don’t think they’re actually-”

Just then, their conversation was abruptly cut by the sound of two voices yelling upstairs. 

“ B-BRUNO ?”

“ MA, LOOK AWAY, LOOK AWAY, GET OUT !”

Mariana Rivera Madrigal Headcanons;

Her full name is Mariana Isabela Luisa Rivera Madrigal. 

She was named her dad's mom, both her mom's sisters, and Mariano (who Mirabel and Miguel are both close to). 

She's eleven years old by d3.

She has the gift of Artistic Creation (meaning she can bring artwork to life, her own most easily). 

She is the daughter of Mirabel Madrigal and Miguel Rivera. 

She is a triplet. The other 2/3s of the trio are Marcelo and Marisol. She is the middle triplet. 

Their birthday is October 25th. 

Her favorite colors are green, black, and yellow. Her least favorite color is brown. 

She's a student at the Encanto’s only public school but will likely transfer to Auradon Prep when she's older if given the chance.

She's the only one of her siblings (so 1 out of 5) who doesn't need glasses. She has a phase when she's older where she wears lensless glasses for a solid couple of years because of this. 

Mariana wants to be a famous illustrator or artist when she grows up and has practiced for the position by helping Marcelo and Marisol make a cookbook— among other things. If she can't be either of those though, she'd settle for being an animator or video game graphics designer.

Her gift isn't just limited to paintings or drawings. It extends to statues and toys as well, and even taxidermy (as she learned when visiting a friend's house, since you know, the taxidermied animals in her house were already alive long before she was born).

Mariana will often times bring her toys, the statue of Alejandra in the courtyard, and the paintings in the house alive when she's bored or when one of her siblings/cousins needs an audience for something.

Where Marcelo is a mama’s boy and Marisol is neither a mama’s or daddy's girl, Mariana is a daddy's girl. 

Mariana has been told that she resembles her paternal Abuela Luisa, bisabuela Alma, her Tía Isabela, and her mamá quite a bit.

Mariana knows all the Auradon gossip because she's curious and Marisol is all too willing to tell her.

The eleven year old has been described as wildly curious, courteous, trusting, gentle, and fun loving as well as graceful, clever, imaginative, creative, loving, and well-mannered.

She can also be quite sad, impatient, cautious, lonely, and clingy, but not many people know that.

Mariana wants to go to art school after she graduates highschool.

Currently Mariana is single, though she is also starting to notice boys. 

Mariana is friends with Gronosis of Camelot, and Garanwyn of Camelot. 

Out of her siblings, she's the closest to Vera and Marcelo. She loves Marisol but her triplet drives her crazy and she loves Renata but they don't spend much time together since Renata doesn't like leaving her room often. 

Her favorite aunt is Luisa, her favorite grandparent is her abuela Luisa, her favorite uncle is Ryder, her favorite sibling is Marcelo, her favorite sister is Vera, and her favorite cousin is Silvia.

Mariana and Marisol can out argue Isabela and Mirabel, much to everyone’s displeasure. It is very hard to break up a fight between them if you aren't Marcelo. 

Mariana's favorite candy is Chocolates Madrigal. Her least favorite is fairy bubble gum because the whole memory of it nearly stealing Marisol is a traumatic one. 

Mariana can't stand Marisol and Marcelo's favorite book ‘The Tales of Flynnigan Ryder’ but will occasionally sit through it for them. 

Her favorite book is Catalino Bocachica, but she also likes Zorro, La pobre viejecita, El Terror de Sexto B, Los amigos del hombre, La historia en cuentos, Simón el bobito, and El Renacuajo Paseador. 

Her favorite holiday is Christmas but her second favorite is ancestry day.

Everyone thinks Mariana was the worst of the triplets when they were toddlers but their parents actually confirmed it was Marisol.

Mariana doesn't like bugs or worms, and turns green whenever she sees Mariana playing with her ant and worm farms. 

Mariana's favorite musicians who are not related to her are Celia Cruz and The Sorcerer's Apprentices. She has their albums, CDs, mixtapes, and posters all in her room.

Her favorite song by The Sorcerer's Apprentices is “Charm Me Maybe.”

Bruno is her favorite great uncle .

The yellow flower and the bows she can be seen sporting were gifts from Luisa and Isabela. 

Mariana has a pet elephant named ‘Art’ that Antonio introduced her to. She's taught him how to paint. 

Mariana used to have some one sided beef with Pepa and Arlo because their gifts kept ruining her drawings (Taking inspiration from @igetthedisneybox ‘s oc, Lidia Madrigal, on this one). She's (mostly) outgrown this now.

When Mariana was little, she was really quiet like Antonio used to (and still is to extent) which worried Miguel (like it did Pepa), but Mirabel wasn't as worried about it. 

Mariana is still a bit quiet but less so. Mostly because out of the triplets, she's the one who speaks up when something is bothering one of them (Marisol doesn't like complaining about things she deems childish and Marcelo is much too shy and a people pleaser to do so, which leaves Mariana). 

Mariana does not like going into Bruno's room because of the sand. For reasoning, check reason 10 on this list.

Mariana loves horseback riding (which her Abuelo Agustín taught her) and fencing (which Isabela and Bubo taught her). 

The only time Mariana being quiet ever really bothered Mirabel was when she was a baby—Marisol was colicky and Marcelo was startled easily, so it really freaked her and Miguel out at first until they got used to it. 

Mariana was the messiest of the triplets as a toddler and was the hardest one to get clean because she hated baths and tried to escape them every single time. 

Mariana's favorite animal is an elephant but a close favorite is a hummingbird— which is one of her Tía Luisa’s favorite animals as well. 

She also likes peacocks because they're pretty and remind her of her Abuela Julieta's favorite hat.

Come to think of it, she just really likes birds. 

Mariana collects lots of little things like sea shells and feathers to go into her artworks. 

The only bugs Mariana isn't grossed out by are fireflies because Isabela's room has them and she finds them pretty. It also probably helps that they make it not dark, since Mariana like Luisa and Marcelo is afraid of the dark. 

Mariana's also afraid that she'll never be a good enough artist. 

Mariana used to have two irrational fears: one was that if she got caught in the rain she'd melt and one that if she played with her Papá’s guitar or went in a graveyard she'd end up stuck in the land of the dead. 

She actually used to be really afraid of water in general before she got her gift. Getting it only made it worse. 

She likes her mamá’s door (which has symbols of their family on it) better than her own. 

Mariana knows how to sew but doesn't utilize the skill often. 

Roses are her favorite flowers. Yellow ones in particular. 

Her favorite play is Cruella de Vil on Trial. On an unrelated note, Mariana cannot stand Cruella de Vil. 

She also doesn't like Tourney because she thinks it looks scary. 

Mariana's favorite video game is Hero Rising. 

Her favorite shows are “Auradon’s Classiest Home Videos”, “Widow Tweed’ Neighborhood”, and “Stranger Thingamabobs”. 

She also likes watching Auratube. 

Mariana is … partially responsible for the tv channel ‘Evil Isle’ being removed from air because she accidentally watched an episode of “Cruella de Vil’s Coat Club”. It scared her to tears and well…Abuelita wasn't happy. 

Her favorite business to visit when traveling outside of the Encanto is “The Merry Men Cafe”. 

Mariana also loves flowers, polkadots, and just patterns in general. 

She prefers to sleep in nightgowns because she finds them more comfortable.

Mariana’s been called Mirabel several times by forgetful villagers and doesn't like it. 

Mariana has a stuffed peacock that Mirabel made her when she was a baby that she named “Señora Painted”. 

Has trouble making friends because her drawings are easier to get along with. 

Was very much the kid in school who always tried to eat glue, erasers, paint, etc. 

Chews on her pens and pencils all the time. In fact she has a scar on her lip from when she chewed through the front of her pen and the metal cut open her lip.

Several of her hobbies are related to creativity—painting, photography, drawing, embroidery, gem painting, stop motion, animation, learning to play different types of music, scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, digital art, sculpting, etc. She wants to learn how to do wood carving too but her parents are holding off on that until she’s a little older. 

She also likes reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing video games, acting (though she’s not good at it), bird watching, and exploring and wouldn’t be opposed to joining a Swords and Shields team when she’s older if her parents allowed for it. 

Can often be seen riding on the back of her pet elephant—something that gave her parents a heart attack when they first saw it. They made her promise to always wear a helmet when she’s on the elephant because they don’t want her to get hurt. 

She made her own bike with the help of her abuelos and both her great uncles, and she, Marcelo, Marisol, Renata, and Vera painted it together. 

Drew a donkeycorn for Silvia’s fifth birthday and brought it to life for a few days. That was how they discovered that Mariana’s gift could have disastrous effects on her health if she keeps the drawings alive for too long. She was out for two weeks. 

She’s thinking of becoming a vegan or vegetarian when she’s older since she doesn’t like most meats but isn’t sure about it right now (Mirabel and Miguel want her to wait till she’s closer to her teens because of the health effects they’ve heard it has on children and she’s keeping that in mind, too). 

She can play the accordion, the piano, and the maracas, and plans to try and learn more. 

Mariana likes learning different languages and can speak English, French, varying types of Spanish, and bits of the romani language (that one Cornel taught her but he doesn’t remember too much of said language so it’s sparse). 

Mariana is jealous of the record player in Marisol’s room because she thinks it’s cool but she won’t admit it if asked by anyone other than Marisol. 

Marisol, Marcelo, Renata, and Vera like to joke that Mariana is ‘gatekeeping the family sight’/ ‘stole all the twenty-twenty vision’. 

She finds skeletons creepy and doesn’t like them. Which is unfortunate because Marcelo dressed as a skeleton for halloween most of their childhood. 

Mariana, on the other hand, made her own costumes—which backfired only once when she accidentally brought her mask to life and couldn’t get out of it (which made her develop a whole new fear). 

She’s a big fan of cosplay and often does intricate ones when able. 

Mariana eats lemons raw.

Mariana can drive—but her parents don’t know that. Only Marisol and Marcelo can. 

Mariana has a black belt and, like her great Tía Pepa, is very good at fighting and has a temper on her.

Mariana chews her nails when nervous. 

Another one of her favorite video games is Fix-it-builds (aka Auradon’s version of Minecraft in my au). 

Mariana is the most fidgety of her siblings. 

She spends a lot of time in the treehouse Agustín, Bruno, Gabriel, and Félix  built for the next gen kids.

Out of the Rivera Madrigal Triplets, Mariana knows the most swears. 

Despite being a bad actor, she has quite a good innocent face that is good at getting her out of trouble. 

Her creations will not hurt her willingly. The only time one ever came close was the time she accidentally brought her halloween mask to life but they eventually figured out that it was just trying to protect her from Marcelo’s costume. 

Once convinced Marcelo for a month that he was found in a KFC bucket next to a dumpster and was rescued after he made her mad (she can’t remember why).

Mariana spends a lot of time with her parental family. More than Marcelo, Marsiol, and Vera do but around the same amount that Renata does. 

She was a bed-wetter as a kid for an embarrassingly long time and didn't have a lot of sleepovers because of it. 

She really likes the band the Donkeyettes and Aziz’s music. 

She’s subscribed to both Aziz and Tulip on Auratube. 

Tulip's channel is “Perfect Perfection and Pranks with Tulip” and is Mariana’s absolutely favorite channel ever. 

Mariana basically hero workshops Tulip now that I think of it. 

(Inspired by Lidia Madrigal again) Mariana got people to finally start remembering her name after a tantrum of hers caused one of her doodle drawings to go on a rampage in the Encanto. 

After this incident several people from Auradon offered to put a ‘hold’ on Mariana’s gift or take it away completely. The people were, of course, chased off by Mirabel, Luisa, and Julieta who were offended by this. 

Mariana was very smug when they found out Santa Claus was real and wouldn’t let Marisol hear the end of it (because of how she told them he wasn’t). 

Had a ‘clone’ nightmare incident one time because she accidently brought a very realistic portrait of her to life while the adults were away and it was left to her cousins to figure out who was the real Mariana. She never brought any picture or artwork of her to life again. 

Mariana is terrified of big dogs. Absolutely terrified. She got attacked by one once who had a bad and irresponsible owner, and has been scared of them ever since (the dog was rehomed to a better owner). 

Mariana has bitten several people for being mean to her family. Mostly people who've been mean to Bruno because there are a lot of them. 

Mariana will burst into song at random for seemingly no reason sometimes. 

She can walk in platform heels.

Her favorite drink is Shape-Shifting Fruit Treats (which a smoothie Julieta makes). 

Her favorite food is Sweet and Savory Corn Balls. 

Her favorite sweet that her family makes is Mystical Gift Cookies. 

Mariana is a horrible liar. 

Mariana is still terrified of  La Llorona. 

Mariana sleeps with a weighted blanket. 

Mariana is clumsier than Marisol but compared to the rest of their siblings and their mother and abuelo, she isn't very clumsy at all. 

She discovered you can hide under rugs while in Casita and now uses that all the time during hide n’ seek. No one can ever find her. 

She proofreads Marisol's books and fanfiction, and edits them when needed. She also writes her own. 

It is very hard to embarrass Mariana and because of that, she is will not hesitate to put herself in embarrassing situations if it means lessening her cousins and siblings’ embarrassment. 

She used to cling to her dad and refuse to let go when she was little whenever they left the house. It was a nightmare when she started school.

When she grows up she plans to get a lot of tattoos and she even has a few decisions for some she had in mind already.

Her door shows her covered in paint, standing beside a canvas with her face on it. 

She has a couple of book shelves in her room along with a radio and a cd player as well as a tv. 

Her baby blanket/quilt is green with yellow roses and a couple of peacock feather patterned squares here and there. 

Her room is about twice as big, if not a little bigger, then the nursery with dark blue, black, and pink bird wallpaper on two of the walls and space where she cannot only draw but paint as well. These drawings are easier to get off with an eraser than they would be on paper. 

Inside her room she has a bed that's big enough to fit her, Marcelo, and Marisol with a green and yellow wooden frame. She has peacock bedsheets and her bed is absolutely covered in pillows and stuffed animals of every shape and size. 

She has a peacock pattern weighted blanket that rests on her bed along with her baby blanket and the green blanket with one of her doodles embroidered on it that her mom made her for her fifth birthday.

The floor in her room is a soft pastel yellow colored carpet that cleans itself. It is the softest carpet you will ever feel. 

The ceiling has the same glow in the dark stars that one of the older kids stuck on the nursery ceiling but it also has glow in the dark hummingbirds on it too. 

After Antonio gave her Art the elephant, she found that her room and door had expanded so that Art could enter and that her room had created a not so little era for him to call his own. 

Mariana’s room also a couple of filing cabinets for her put the drawings she wants to keep, a hummingbird toy chest, a hummingbird chair, and a hummingbird desk. 

She has a couple of pictures of her friends and family up around the room in elephant shaped picture frames. 

She also has a closet where her clothes are stored, a dark room off to the side of her room through another door, and a storage area for her easel and canvases. 

One time, when she had some kids from school over for her birthday, one mean girl wrote some very mean and inappropriate things on one of the walls (which made her cry) and Casita got mad she threw the girl out of the room and out of the house. It caused quite the ruckus but Casita refused to apologize and Mirabel wasn't too keen on apologizing either when she figured out what happened. That girl is still allowed in Casita. 

Got an infection once from doing a stick and poke (a tattoo created by manually poking the skin with a needle dipped in ink). She has a scar from it. She got grounded for that one.

When she's overwhelmed or upset, the drawings in her room refuse to let her leave until she's calmed down . Her creations also are more reluctant to listen to her.

What was Miguel's and Mirabel's wedding like?

This is a tricky thing to answer because I don't much about their cultures but I like to think that it's a good mix of both Miguel and Mirabel's cultures as well as a good mix of them.

Like, they all wear beautifully designed and colorful clothes with embroidered symbols—especially Mirabel’s wedding dress, which bottom layers are decorated with little gold butterflies and a couple of tiny gutairs thrown into the mix.

Miguel's suit has a couple of gutairs and butterflies scattered in hidden places that are slightly more noticeable up close.

Mirabel's nieces are all flower girls (if that's a thing in their cultures).

Antonio is apart of Mirabel's bridal party as her bestman/man of honor(if that exists in their culture) despite being only thirteen, much to the jealousy of Camilo, Dolores, and her siblings.

Socorro is Miguel's best woman/maid of honor (if that exists in their culture) because he wanted her to be involved in some way other than her just being a guest.

Mirabel's nephew, Miguel Jr. (Who was named after Miguel), is the ring barrer.

Both their families are there.

The whole venue is decorated with Isabella's flowers and vines and cactuses.

There's a giant cake and a slight drizzle of rain because Pepa gets emotional at all her nieces weddings but no one minds too much.

It's a big, chaotic, colorful and loudish (because they are blasting music as loud as they can without hurtinf Dolores' ears) but beautiful mess.

Also they get married late at night on 'Dia de los Muertos' so that it rolls over onto 'Día de los Santos Difuntos' so that each of their dead love ones can attend (even if they can't see them).

It's a mesh of everything important to them with a splash of tradition.

At least I like to think so.

And yes. Mirabel’s adopted cousins from the isle of the lost are there.

My Flag Will Not Fall

Mirabel looked down at the blanket she just made. 

The blanket was the colors of the rainbow, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, y’know, the whole nine yards. 

She had wanted to put her crochet skills to the test and had decided on doing something with multiple colors, so, she thought, why not make a rainbow blanket? And thus, here she was, with a brand new blanket, and no one to give it to. 

Should she keep it to herself? No, she had more than enough blankets, she didn’t need another one.

“Oh!” she exclaimed out loud. “Why don’t I give it to tío Bruno? I’m sure he’d love something like this!”

Knock knock knock

“Hey tío, I wanted to ask y- Oh! Hola tío Miguel!”

Mirabel opened Bruno’s bedroom door to see Bruno and Miguel laying on the bed together, Miguel spooning Bruno, while Bruno was reading a book.

“Oh! Hola Mira, how nice to see you!”

“Nice to see you’re making progress in learning to knock, kid,” Bruno joked, closing the book he had in his hands. “What’s up?”

“Haha, very funny,” Mirabel rummages through her bag, looking for it. “I was actually wondering if you’d like this,” she says, pulling out the blanket and showing it to her uncle. 

Bruno lazily sat up, examining the fabric, while Miguel rested his head on his hand, still laying down.

“Oh wow, did you make that?” Bruno asked.

“ Sí, thank you for noticing,” Mirabel proudly smiled, fixing her glasses.

Bruno stood up and walked over to take a closer look, feeling the material in his hand. Mirabel handed the whole thing to him, wrapping himself in it. 

“Hmm…,” Bruno paused in thought. “It’s very cozy…I think I’ll take it!”

“ Ay, I know you would!” Mirabel exclaimed, pulling him into one of her signature tight hugs. “I’m so happy you like it.”

“It’s no problem, kid,” Bruno gently pulled himself out of the hug. “Thank you for giving it to me, I’ll be sure to put it to good use.”

“Glad to hear! See you guys later!” she exclaimed, leaving the room and closing the door. 

Bruno twirled around in the blanket, pretending it was a cape.

“Y’know what it reminds me of?” Miguel had pulled himself up and was now leaning on his elbows.

“What’s that, hon?” 

“It weirdly reminds me of a flag.”

Bruno looked at the material that was over his shoulders. “I think I can see what you’re getting at.”

Miguel motioned for Bruno to come back to the bed, to which he happily obliged, jumping back onto the bed and covering both him and Miguel with the blanket.

“Do you want me to keep spooning you, querido?”

“Actually, I think I’d like to be the big spoon this time if you don’t mind.”

“Sounds like a plan!”

And so, the two slowly fell asleep, cuddled against one another, enveloped in the blanket.

Renata Rivera Madrigal Headcanons;

Her full name is Renata Imelda Rivera Madrigal. 

She is 5 years old by d3.

She is the youngest child of Miguel Rivera and Mirabel Madrigal.

She was not planned but Mirabel and Miguel knew she was coming (though didn't expect it to be so soon after Vera was born) because of a vision Bruno had about Marcelo. They only realized she wasn't Vera’s friend because they noticed she had the same ears and teeth as Vera, and a similar face shape to Miguel.

Renata has the gift of X-ray vision and she absolutely loathes her gift because it terrifies her. 

She used to love skeletons before she got her gift and now she hates them because she can’t stop seeing them when she’s not wearing her special glasses, and she just wants them to go away. 

Because of this, Renata usually hides in her room and refuses to leave it unless she is absolutely required to do so. 

Her family is obviously concerned about this but aren't sure how to fix it since it feels like forcing her out of the room (like was done with Dolores) will only make things worse. 

She REALLY hates skeletons and anything even vaguely skeleton looking.

Her birthday is November 8th, making her a Scorpio. 

Renata is short with slightly curly reddish brown hair that stops just below her ears, skin a bit darker than her mother and father’s, big ears, buckteeth, and big brown eyes that are usually hidden behind thick, dense glasses.

Pink is her favorite color, hands down. She would wear all pink if she could. 

She's a student at the Encanto’s only public school.

She doesn't want to go to Auradon Prep or any school outside of the Encanto because that means being away from the safety of her room. 

When Renata grows up she wants to either be a seamstress or a shoe cobbler. She'd also settle for being a fashion designer.

She is very close to her father, Miguel’s, side of the family.

Wants to be just like her Abuela Luisa. 

Her favorite Abuelo is Enrique, her favorite Abuela is Luisa, and her favorite aunt is Luisa. She also adores Camilo. 

Out of her siblings, she tends to favor Vera (who’s close in age to her) and Mariana (who she looks up to). 

The cousins she's closest to are Giovanni, Dayana, Elmira, and Amada. 

She thinks boys are gross and that they have cooties. 

Renata is friends with Lena Cove, Karina Collodi-Rossi-Liddell, Christina Bones, Fabian Collodi-Rossi-Liddell, Samantha Cove, and Blue Veronica Rossi. 

The five year old has been described as eager, excitable, playful, imaginative, kind but cranky, cheeky, creative, bright, and charming.

She's also been described as a dreamer. 

Renata is very grateful, patient, crafty, and dedicated for her age.

After getting her gift she's been anxious, fearful, and resentful.

Renata trusts her family and close friends wholeheartedly but she struggles to trust others outside of those groups. 

Something that has gotten her in a lot of trouble at school. 

Renata at this point in time would not be sad to lose her gift and would actually probably thank whoever took it away from her. 

Loves dresses and skirts and bows, and thinks skorts are the best thing ever invented. 

Renata is a mama's girl. 

Mirabel is teaching her how to sew and do embroidery. 

Renata loves taking part in dress up games and tea parties—and she also loves to play house and other games like it. 

Camilo once caught her scolding Giovanni like Mirabel during one of these games of house and laughed so hard he passed out. 

She also likes to draw the dresses and shoes she hopes to make one day. 

Covers her ears when she lies because José told her that her ears turn red when she lies. He told her this when she was three and she still believes him. 

Somehow, she hasn't connected this as the reason no one believes her when she's lying. José still laughs his ass whenever she does it. 

Blue Veronica based one of the characters in her comic on Renata. Christina made a character based on her too that she plans to have as a main character in one of her games.

Renata loves acting in her friend, Christina Bones, and in her cousin-in-law, Théotime,’s films. 

Renata also likes playing fútbol with her friend Samantha Cove and if Samantha needs a person in one of her photos, Renata happily volunteers. 

Renata loves dolls, mannequins, squishy toys, and stuffed animals but dolls and mannequins are definitely her favorite, and she gets them as gifts a lot—especially after her ceremony.

Despite Renata’s patience, she can be quite easy to anger. Because of this she tends to get along with Pepa quite well.

She has met cupid (not Eros) and doesn't like him. 

However her ‘imaginary’ friend is the Easter Bunny (Picture Bunnymund from Rise of the Guardians) and the two of them are besties. 

Renata’s top six (seven?) favorite holidays are: Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Ancestry Day, Valentine's Day, and Día de los Muertos.

Loves hearts (the shape anyway) and easter eggs. 

Her favorite animals are dogs but she also likes butterflies.

She has an animation companion named ‘Lyric’. It's a Xoloitzcuintli dog. She found her by herself and Miguel cried when he saw Lyric for the first time because she looks exactly like Dante. 

She has a crazy sweet tooth and will eat anything that is even remotely sweet. She likes spicy sweets/snacks too. Can't stand salty or sour food though. 

Renata is terrified of bugs and spiders and worms,  and because of this she avoids Marisol's room like the plague.

Renata also finds Isabela really scary because of her more…wild…creations. Though she isn't too open about this.

She is an angry crier. 

Her favorite business to visit in Auradon is ‘Snow White's Snack Shack’. She likes their midnight foods especially, though she's rarely allowed there. 

Renata finds plays boring and doesn't like going to them. 

Renata also doesn't like reading. She does love watching TV and playing video games though. 

And she is more than willing to listen to scary stories despite knowing they’ll give her nightmares.

Her favorite video game is Go-Go Ballroom Dancing. She's not very good at it though.

Her favorite shows are My Fair Lady and Get Down With The Ballgown. 

She listens to the Auradon Bedtime Podcast and her parents' bedtime stories to fall asleep. 

Her favorite candy is dwarf gems. She doesn't like chocolate. 

Carina Potts helped plan one of her parties as a favor to Cesare Madrigal, a friend of hers and one of Renata's oldest cousins. 

Her favorite foods are pizza and Golden Chicken Stew. 

Her favorite thing to drink is chocolate milk. 

Her favorite dessert is ‘Extra Special Candy Swirls’. 

Renata is not afraid to throw hands if you mess with her siblings and cousins. And she will BITE you if she finds it necessary. 

Makes the exact face Mirabel does whenever Camilo makes a bad joke in their hearing distance. 

Renata loves Elmira's music. She'd even go as far as to say her cousin is her favorite musician—but she also likes Freddie Facilier’s music. 

Her favorite song of Elmira’s is ‘If you loved him’ and her favorite song of Freddie’s is ‘the night is young’. 

Renata can't ride a bike. 

She's still at that age where she clings to whichever family member she's out with at the time. 

José once swapped her shampoo out for dish soap and she didn't notice until Mirabel realized it wasn't the same consistency as her usual shampoo.

Renata can't spell too well yet and there's a lot she doesn't know school wise yet, but she does know about a lot of other stuff and will gladly chatter off about it all if given the chance.

Renata has an incredible long-term memory but an awful short-term memory.

Renata is not allowed to drink energy drinks. Both due to the fact that it's not healthy for tiny children and because of what the Madrigals call the ‘Casita Energy Drink’ Incident.

The five year old, in stark contrast to her friends and sister Vera, is not very good with modern technology. She could grow better with age but for now, she is horrendous at using anything other than a tv. 

She and José have a bit of a cousin rivalry(?) going on. Because of this, Lyric does not like José and will chase after him to get him away from Renata at random sometimes. 

Lyric the dog does not get along at all with José’s animal companion, Flapjack the Gastric-Brooding Frog, at all and will chase them around whenever the two of them are alone together.

Renata still walks around with the baby blanket her mother made it—it’s pink with frilly bows and a dancing dog pattern. She adores it. It used to have skeletons dancing with the dogs, too, but after Renata’s disastrous gift ceremony Mirabel spent days painstakingly removing every skeleton from it so that her daughter could still find comfort in the item. 

Renata’s three favorite toys are the squishy and sticky giant gummy bear toy that Elmira gave her on a visit home from college, a pretty princess doll that greatly resembled Renata that Princesa gifted her for her fifth birthday, and the stuffed dog in shoes that her mother made her when she was a baby.

The five year old loves playing jump rope and her cousins and siblings will often lure her out of her room with the promise of playing it so that she can relax. 

Renata also likes helping her abuela Julieta go herb collecting and mushroom/ingredient hunting on occasion, when her glasses are working that is. 

Renata’s door shows her covering her eyes with partially skeletal hands over where her eyes would be and the doorframe is a dark pink color. 

Her room is about the same size as the nursery with no windows, dark pink carpet, a red ceiling, and light pink walls with a colorful easter egg pattern. Her bed is heart shaped with heavy fluffy covers and big pillows that are almost as big as she is which many of her stuffed animals and dolls rest upon. 

Other than her bed, she also has a heart shaped toy chest as well as light pink nightstands, a white desk lamp with a gummy bear covered lampshade, a red tv stand with a tiny tv, and a little dog shaped desk with a comfy bean bag chair where she can do her work. Her bed had drawers under it where Renata’s clothes are stored. 

But the thing that Renata adores most about her room isn’t any of that or the beautiful pictures of her family and friends that hang on her wall. No, the thing she adores most about her room is the fact that her X-ray vision disappears the moment she steps inside of it and the sweet relief that it brings her. If Renata had it her way, she would never leave her room because of this. 

Oh and she has a gigantic doll house that matches the playhouse and doghouse that is also in her room. 

She even has a small book shelf with a couple of drawing and fashion books on it.

When Renata gets overwhelmed, her door will become completely see through to her and others and it won’t turn back until she is calm. Renata, of course, hates this. 

Eventually Renata gets over her fear of skeletons after her glasses are more improved. 

Renata is pretty decent at playing guitar and piano and the accordion but doesn’t really have much interest in any of it. Something Vera is very jealous of, understandably— given the fact she wants to be a musician like her dad and can’t play any of those well.

One time Renate broke her nose after running into a wall after her gift started acting up because she had her eyes covered and couldn't see.
