Where did Argos hide Marinette? Did he forget where? Did he do this on purpose? Or is it just an animation glitch! What if Felix hid Marinette not from the light of the Red Moon, but from cousin Adrien?

After all, this has already happened once!

Even if this is an animation error, which I highly doubt, then why are these containers completely different even in raw animation?

Why did he say there were only three of them? Did he forget about Marinette? Or hoped that no one would ask about her?

His behavior seems too artificially unnatural.

If Felix was so worried about destroying Marinette, then why was he so surprised by her return? Perhaps because he hid Marinette in a completely different place. But he showed Adrian another dumpster that Marinette wasn't in initially.

All this can only be justified by the fact that Felix actually fell in love with Marinette during their dance and after which he did not want Adrien and Marinette to be together. To think that he fell in love with Kagami is stupid, since there was not a single moment that proved that Felix was in any way interested in Kagami. After all, he left Kagami alone in the middle of chaos without fearing for her life in the light of the Red Moon and after destroying people he did not even try to find her.

"Kwami's Choice", S5, and Kagami

Kitty Noir's identity has no single meaning for anything that happens in S5. As such, Plagg's new holder could've been anyone, and it should've been Kagami.

Not because it being Kagami would've changed much as such, but because it is only after "Kwami's Choice" that Kagami becomes a character relevant to the plot, thanks to her

A) discovering Ladybug's identity, and

B) becoming Felix' ally and the only reason LB and CN didn't shake him down for the peacock miraculous and Hawkmoth's identity but instead took him on as a member of the hero team

Kagami ultimately isn't particularly important to S5; since it turns out that it's totally cool to be a sentimonster after all, Felix' story purpose boils down to a thematic red herring cum cool exposition device. Kagami herself being a sentimonster consequently changes nothing to her conditions, and so her part in the story ends up being the excuse for Felix putting on the play for Marinette rather than Ladybug.

Kagami being Kitty Noir wouldn't have given her a lot of story weight, but it'd at least serve to foreshadow her place as one of the secondary characters on stage in the latter half of S5.

Not to mention, it would've spared us the green lipstick.

Sin embargo, no está cómoda. Nunca está cómoda del todo cuando están Tarou e Inukai presentes. Sabe que no solo están de su parte si no que están ahí para protegerla y guiarla respectivamente. Pero ambos hombres aún le intimidan mucho. Inukai por su aparencia y seriedad y Tarou por su frialdad y por lo cautelosamente inteligente que se muestra en cada cosa que le dice.

Tampoco debe ayudar que se ha acostumbrado a estar sola con los dos tontos de Gizaru y Kijima, con los que ya tiene familiaridad y con los que no le es nada difícil de hablar.

...Así que Takeuchi piensa que tenemos que aceptar ese trato. Comenta el líder del grupo con su voz cansada y rasposa, dando un trago a su copa antes de dar a su plato medio lleno por finalizado.

Ah... ¿Y... Eso no es peligroso? Tiene delante un suculento corte de Kobe con el que no puede dejar de juguetear. De hecho no es capaz de alzar la mirada hacia ninguno de ellos. Osea, estamos hablando de... De Erre O Ge A...

Tarou pese a tenerla a su cargo, solo suele aparecer para hacer de mensajero, para comunicarle cosas a Kagami que han decidido o Takeuchi o los otros miembros de la junta y que ésta de el visto bueno. Suele explicarle detalladamente de qué se trata y no se va hasta que Kagami no está medianamente convencida de ello.

Dentro de lo que cabe confía en él. Porque lo que ella no sabe es que su trabajo es el de hacer sentir a Kagami relevante dentro del Clan y a la vez segura dentro de este. Así que no suele decirle nada que no sea lo que se le haya cometido que diga.

Personalmente, y si me lo permite Ojou-sama, creo que una alianza con el Kozakura-gumi no nos merece la pena el llegar a molestar al clan Yamaguchi.

¡Pero si odiamos a los Yamagilís! ¡Son nuestros rivales! Rebate, Kijima, con la cara aún llena de granos de arroz.

Eran nuestros rivales. Corrige. Cuando estábamos a su nivel, pero ya nos toca empezar a asumir que no lo estamos.

Eso... Eso tiene sentido, claro. Es... Sensato. No es tonta ni inculta, pero cuando habla con Tarou le gusta usar palabras más correctas para que vea que no es una niña. Además, pese a lo nerviosa que está, entiende su punto. ¿Y con lo que puedan aportar los Kozakura no es suficiente?

Los Kozakura son legales en nuestro clan pero no irían por los Yamagilís y menos por nosotros.

Lo único que tienen son compinches en la policía portuaria... Así que son capaces de hacer que se ignoren uh... "Mercancías sospechosas".

Son útiles pero no indispensables. Además, a cambio de eso piden más influencia en Yodogawa, Kita y Chūō... No creo que sea una buena idea rodearnos de ellos y menos dependiendo de lo fuerte que hagamos esa alianza temporal.

Ya veo.. ¿Y cómo... Las haríamos entrar si no es por el puerto? E-Es decir, no es como si pudiéramos rechazar un plan sin aportar otra solución...

The Magical Girl And The Evil Lieutenant Used To Be Archenemies Episode 1 Review - Enemies To Lovers Magical Girl Romcom

Gosh, this is the longest anime title I’ve encountered so far—it’s even longer than Cherry Magic’s full title! For my sanity, I’ll be shortening the title as Maho Aku for future reviews. This anime is posthumously released after the author Cocoa Fujiwara’s death nine years ago. I’m glad that people were kind enough to let this become an anime.

This is the least magical girl-esque show I’ve seen from the genre so far. That’s not a bad thing, honestly. The story is about Byakuya Mimori, a girl who works part time to make money but her main gig is a magical girl. When confronting with the evil lieutenant Mira, he falls for her at first sight. Since then, their encounters have always been cute with Mira giving her sweets and Byakuya eating them. It feels like a rom-com with a magical girl setting.

This anime is surprisingly short—it’s only 12 minutes long. However, I was too invested in watching the show that I didn’t even realize it was only 12 minutes until someone pointed it out. Despite that, it was well-animated! The colors are so pretty! The animation was really good! Byakuya’s transformation is really well-done. I really like the bottom-to-top sequence it does since magical girl transformation usually focuses on getting the main outfit on first before focusing on everywhere else. I also liked how the transformation had Byakuya’s name singing in the background; it reminded me of 90’s Sailor Moon transformation, specifically Sailor Venus’s.

While it does seem like Mira and his organization seem like the villains of the story, I feel like Byakuya’s cat familiar is more or less the villain as he was the one who sort of forced her to become a magical girl by punching her until she said yes. The way it was handled felt like a parody of Kyubey from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Now it makes me wonder where these familiars came from and why they’re forcing girls to become magical girls.

Byakuya is a girl who is delicate but very chill. Life is hard for her but she presses on. I do wonder how old she is. I do like that she doesn’t question Mira’s change in behavior towards her and just accepts his gifts. Mira, on the other hand, acts edgy due to his affiliation with the evil organization, but is a huge dork and a huge simp for Byakuya. I like that his crush on her stems from her being way too cute.

The voice acting is great! Byakuya is voiced by Mai Nakahara, who’s known for voicing characters like Juvia from Fairy Tail, Kashima from Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun and Estelle from Tales of Vesperia. Lately, she’s been voicing mom characters like the Yuzuki family’s mom from The Yuzuki Family’s Four Sons, so it’s nice to see her voicing a young kid again. Her voice is really nice to listen to because it’s so soft. Mira is voiced by Yuuki Ono, who is known for voicing Kagami from Kuroko’s Basketball, Kunigami from Blue Lock and Hori from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. It’s hilarious how Kashima and Hori are reunited in a completely different genre. The cat familiar is voiced by Shinichiro Miki, which is a hilarious choice for a magical girl mascot, but I welcome it. I love the gap!

I do wonder what’s going to happen in future episodes. Will it be cute moments between Mira and Byakuya or will there be actual plot aside from the romcom? Honestly, I like what I’m seeing so far, so I want to see more.

¡Mis pensamientos sobre las temporadas de Miraculous!

Sí, hablaré de las temporadas de Miraculous, incluidos sus especiales y la película.

Quizás haga otro post hablando de mis pensamientos sobre la sexta temporada de la serie. Con las cosas que tenemos.

Temporada 1

Es decente. Tiene sus buenos episodios (Stormy Weather, Demoilustrador, Burbujeo, etc.) y malos (Faraón, Orígenes [especialmente la segunda parte], Kung Food, etc.).

La animación es bastante buena y los personajes también son buenos.

Temporada 2

¡La mejor temporada!

Aquí tenemos los mejores episodios (El arco de redención de Chloe, Gorizilla, Sandboy y El Día de los Héroes).

Los personajes han sido realmente buenos, la trama era increíble en este punto, etc.

Es curioso porque Thomas no estuvo realmente involucrado en esta temporada, Jeremy Zag sí.

Temporada 3

Y aquí la calidad empezó a bajar..

La trama intentaba ser más dramática y seria (como lo hizo Amphibia más tarde), pero era como "este show es familiar, ¡ahora es realmente dramático!".

Los episodios han sido mediocres (Oblivio o Feast), malos (Desperada o Bakerix), o basura (Animaestro, Chat Blanc, Ladybug y el final).

Y claro, los personajes han sido realmente malos, especialmente Marinette y Fu.

Temporada 4

Esta temporada fue increíble... Miento, de hecho, es realmente mala.

Solo hubieron tres episodios buenos (Mega Leech, Guiltrip y Crocoduel), el resto iban de ser malos, hasta cringey (Wishmaker), hasta... Qlin (uno de los PEORES episodios de toda la animación).

Y los personajes han sido realmente molestos, como Adrien con su estúpido drama de "Me siento solo" con Ladybug y los héroes. Es realmente estúpido e inútil.

Y no me hagan hablar de Zoe Lee. Sólo digo que Aurore Beaureal es un personaje. Habría sido más útil con el miraculous de la abeja.

Por cierto, incluso la animación fue horrible aquí (mira Simpleman, el episodio menos beta, y entenderás mi punto).

Temporada 5

...

¡¿Qué carajo?!

-Yo viendo la quinta temporada.

Esta es la PEOR temporada de la serie (y créame, tal vez la temporada 6 sea aún peor). Es como la versión pretenciosa de Sonichu, pero sin las instancias creepys que no serían family friendly.

Esta temporada fue tan mala, que solo UN episodio fue bastante decente (Perfection, y es gracias a Kagami), el resto fue realmente, REALMENTE terrible (Derision es un retcon de Los Padrinos Mágicos, pero aún peor, Revelation es estúpido, Collusion es el peor episodio político, Revolution es el ejemplo perfecto de Thomas siendo Chris Chan con Chloe, Representation es un fanfic pretencioso realmente malo, y los episodios finales de la temporada han sido un insulto).

Incluso la animación aquí también fue horrible. Los colores estaban asquerosamente saturados y no ayudaron a los episodios.

Y no me hagan hablar de sus momentos "dramáticos"... NI SIQUIERA PUEDO REFERIRLO COMO "MOMENTOS DRAMÁTICOS" PORQUE ES UN INSULTO.

Bonus: ESPECIALES

Miraculous Nueva York

Es una basura, es solo un capítulo más largo de la serie pero apenas dura una hora.

Sólo un personaje era bueno (Sparrow), y fue eliminado solo por la "subtrama feminista"...

Realmente extraño la subtrama de Chloe para este especial...

Y Ladybug era realmente molesta, por supuesto.

Miraculous Shangai

El mejor especial, pero aún así es malo.

Lo único bueno de esto es Fei y el worldbuilding del especial. Pero el resto fue realmente malo.

Y no Thomas, no voy a simpatizar con Marinette, literalmente acosó a Adrien yendo a Shangai y lo siguió con una app...

Miraculous París

Aquí es donde voy a estar muerto...

Creo que este especial está realmente sobrevalorado y para mí es realmente malo.

Al menos la animación fue bastante decente, pero eso es lo único que puedo decir...

Pero el concepto de AU era realmente pobre y es como "tenemos que ser como el Spiderverse".

Y los personajes han sido mal ejecutados, especialmente Gabriel, Adrien y Marinette del AU "inverso" (no puedo definirlo como un AU inverso cuando solo tres personajes cambian para ser opuestos).

MIRAKUNG FU

Mira-kung fu is only named that way due to Su Han's French Translation Charm being outdated, damaged or something. Honestly, the name bugs me and I'm only keeping it as a shorthand to describe Shizuke's fighting style and to point at one of the most obvious lessons Su Han should've taught Marinette and Adrien. Anyway, it has a more dignified Chinese name that should translate to something like "the Miraculous Path". Its more like a focus based technique to sense and read the unique qi a holder emits, hence, allowing the practitioner to predict the wielder's path.

In Chinese, the term kung fu refers to any skill that is acquired through learning or practice. It is a compound word composed of the words 功 (gōng) meaning "work", "achievement", or "merit", and 夫 (fū) which is a particle or nominal suffix with diverse meanings. Wushu literally means "martial art".

It is not necessarily a martial art in and of itself, the monks just defaulted to shaolin or whatever. Hence why it can be paired with other martial arts like Shizuke's Judo or Kagami's Fencing.

Hell, by this logic, Blair can count as an intermediate master as she can focus enough to sense wielders but isn't good enough at maintaining that concentration to use it in combat. Princess Honey though... she has implied potential as mentioned in her dungeon boss chapter. Honey Cure requires a wielder to have a grasp on the body's qi paths if they were to control its flow to speed up a body's recovery. Honey Cure requires a more advanced knowledge of qi than Mirakungfu. Shizubug did the math on her true potential.

I feel I have to edit my initial notes or even add a mirakungfu notes part 2 for this.

ENHANCEMENT POTIONS

Now, I've given it a basic ass description in the fic notes but here's another aspect I only recently thought of: why they are enhanced from the normal potions. The answer was staring me in the face: Helios City is on an island off the coast of France, created by Ladybug's LUCKY CHARM in her prime. Who knows what freaky shit magic made earth is gonna do to plants growing from that. So some ingredients harvested from that island city are like magically enhanced, hence the elemental buff.

Side note: I'm probably gonna edit the name a bit. Dunno what. These potions make travelling through extreme conditions doable like space or underwater so I thought it should have the word traverse in it but I'm not sold yet.

HONEY CURE

Gotta expand the annecdote section to include how Zoe ended up coming up with it. See, its mentioned in passing that it was used to wake up Marinette from her qi deficiency induced coma (totally drained herself creating a wholeass island). The rest of the heroes were all mirakungfu trained and can sense something is off with her qi. Oh if only her qi would flow thus way instead of that, untangle the mess that is her flow and bolster that... and it hit Zoe, what if she subjugates that?
