hello, friends, i am here with a VERY important announcement!! the frosts have three dogs and a cat!! id already mentioned the cat but more about her is coming <3 as for the pups, these dogs were initially runts in various litters of the malconaire sheep dogs that tended the malconaire herds etc. bc they were runts in too-large litters, these puppies required human care and thus the frosts took them home to hand-nurse and raise them, but!! lbr they're part of the family now <33333

ABOUT THE DOGGIES

i think you can tell a lil abt personalities from their names hahaha but ill def give you a lil more info abt each of them in a bit <3 all of three of them are family dogs who grew up w the frosts always there and regard all three frosts as well as the reaves and the og malconaire sisters as part of their multi-species pack hahaha

leisce and coirt remain at the frost abode, and keep cillian company when his siblings are away and theyre not busy in the fields with the sheep (there are other dogs so they tend to come and go to work with him and return to him to head home and flop in front of the fire in the evenings)

rith, however, was always ronan's puppy and, when he went away to war, rith was inconsolable. after a time, rith ran away to find him and has been been through his side through everything ever since and yes ngl to use modern parlance rith is 100% ronan's emotional support dog lbr you mess with rith, you mess w ronan!!!! rith currently lives in the woods w ronan and is, as far as cillian is concerned, the unofficial mascot of the rebellion sdklajfksdf

RITH

rith is the cleverest of the trio, and also the wisest. patient, clever, loyal, sure-legged. as his name suggests, rith's extremely fast, though as he's getting on in years he's a lil less eager to race around than he was as a pup, but when he does you'll be surprised how fast he is. extremely well trained and obedient, he knows ronan's every move and will readily respond to a series of whistles from him, their own secret language. unlike his canine brothers, rith is part sheep dog and part hunting dog from a brood that was in no way planned when one of lord malconaire's hunting dogs pursued a forbidden romance w one of the sheep dogs.

LEISCE

the sleepiest dog in the world, leisce is the oldest dog but don't let his laziness fool you: he's always been this way. he likes nothing better than lollygagging about in the bright sunshine and receiving pets. tho technically a working dog, he's more likely to snuggle the sheep than herd them, but he is very protective when it comes right down to it! he is, however, difficult to persuade to move. you'd do better to just step over him when he plants. leisce is saoirse's favorite and, when she's home, she lets him sleep in her bed with her (don't tell cillian or ronan!). (saoirse didn't want to be too obtrusive, so saoirse only brings miotas, back and forth w her from lorcan.) fortunately, leisce and miotas are also fast friends, though miotas loves to prank!

COIRT

vocal and excitable, coirt is the youngest of the dogs and also sometimes known as rinceoir (dancer) to cillian for his habit of leaping up on his back legs and half-walking about in excitement when he smells things. as you've perhaps guessed, given his name, he is extrememly curious and barks constantly. was that a rabbit or a breeze? let's assume rabbit! BARK! was that anything at all? who knows! BARK! fortunately, this is a very cheerful sound and coirt is always deeply happy to see anyone and everyone (esp if they come bearing scraps!). unlike leisce, he hardly ever lazes about, preferring to continuously sniff everything within reach, though the pair do love to cuddle at night and generally sleep together in front of the fire most nights! this is cillian's four-legged bestie (but i hc coirt often abandons cillian to hang w @forgottenpercy, uninvited! -- cillian doesn't mind tho).

MIOTAS

a sleek black cat, miotas is a mischief-maker (absolutely the sort of cat who jumps off on the mantel only to push things off it) and, as saoirse says, enjoys making trouble. she esp loves pranking the dogs (particularly coirt, mostly bc he's the easiest target due to his excitable nature). miotas is very clever and very faithful and, while quite independent, she is also very protective of the trio of puppers: miotas is absolutely the kind of cat who would fight a crocodile to protect her loved ones. she can absolutely be a touch aloof, but she also likes to be cuddly when she's in the mood, and she loves to travel by slinging herself around saoirse's shoulders like a scarf. no one knows precisely what miotas' origins are, beyond like being one of the malconaire barn cats. saoirse found her one day on the property as a tiny kitten, separated from her mother and litter and in of care. like the dogs, she was brought home and nursed by hand, and she's been saoirse's faithful shadow ever since.

The last of his kind, Rendo’s dream is to one day restore his people, the miotais, to their former glory. That being said, he’s not exactly a good example of a miotas. He’s lost his home, his people—everything. These losses have caused him to become bitter, crass, and slow to trust new people. Luckily, he’s found himself a new home and some new friends willing to help him mellow out and achieve his goal.

New doodle dump! Specifically focusing on some of my Alven characters from Ace of Swords. I added numbers so I can give a little info about each doodle more easily. ^^

1. Prince Santos wearing a fabulous fur coat, based on something he wore in the original promptober sketches that Ace of Swords is based on. 

2. The king and queen of the Alves. King Daedalos (right) is the older brother of prince Santos and prince Aman. His wife (left) is called Kallisto. She may not be conventionally attractive, but Daedalos loves her a lot.

4. Daedalos has a habit of staying up late at night, fretting over the kingdom and all that's going wrong and that he feels he has to solve (even if it's not always realistic.) Kallisto is just trying to convince him to get some sleep. 

5. Non-canon but I thought of the perfect love interest for Tyrios. She's a butcher. I mean, she's often covered in blood, smells of raw meat, knows how to use a cleaver and is not squeamish. AKA the perfect woman. XD

6. Definitely canon. When Tyrios gets too much into the fight and goes berserk, the other goons often resort to just knocking him out to get him out of it. They then have to drag him back to castle Malpertus while he's unconscious. XD

7. Flavius, single adoptive father to little Sally. He may not look it, but he's happy. ^^ He loves his daughter a lot. Single parenting is just a tough and exhausting job, you know? XD

Pokémon Micro and Mighty Set in the region on Miotas,just west of Galar, It is a region shaped by it's history. mythology and their coexistence with Pokémon that benefits both party's. In this region taking on the Pokémon leauge is a serious undertaking and being champion is alot more important then in others. As such the Miotas region has one of the highest age limits for starting trainers, having to be 16 or over to get their starter Pokémon.

marha leveskocka (annyi amennyi a vizhez kell)

3 ek halszosz (itt a red boat fish sauce-ra eskusznek, de abbol 10 dodo egy uveggel, szoval en se azt vettem) ha szereted lehet tobb is.

rizsteszta babcsira marhahus talalashoz:thai bazsalikom koriander zold thai chili lime szeletek

hoisin szosz/sriracha vagy mindketto

ne ijedj meg ezeknek a nagy resze nem esszencialis ha epp nem talalsz, a vietnami szomszed nem fog megkergetni ha kihagysz ezt-azt.

fuszerek: ami nelkul nincs pho az a koriander mag, csillaganizs, szegfuszeg, fahej. ezek nelkul nem lesz olyan mint egy igazi pho. en meg tettem bele fekete borsot, edeskomeny magot es fekete kardamom magot is, de ezek teljesen opcionalisak ha epp nincsenek keznel. tegyel mindent egy serpenyobe es piritsd meg oket amig illatozni kezdenek. par perc az egesz.

hagyma, gyomber es zoldhagyma. egy ontottvas serpenyoben vagy simaban, de akar kozvetlenul a gazrozsan alaposan piritsd meg a hagymat es a gyombert. legyen szenes. a hagymat csak felbe vagom a hejat rajtahagyom, mert nagyon szep szine lesz tole a levesnek. a gyombert csak csikokra vagom, nem kell meghamozni. a zoldhagymat csak felvagom, ezt nem kel megpiritani.

tegyel fel foni 2 liter vizet. en levagtam a marharol a zsirt es bedobtam a vizbe, foztem addig amig a zoldsegek es a fuszerek el nem keszultek.

aztan ment bele minden, fuszerek, hagyma, zoldhagyma, gyomber, 3 evokanal halszosz, a leveskockak, 1 evokanal cukor, 1 teaskanal so. vannak akik sot nem tesznek bele hanem addig adagoljak a halszoszt amig eleg sos nem lesz, ennyire burzsujok azert nem vagyunk, azert a halszosz nem olcso :) az autentikus megoldas a cukorra a rock sugar, de ilyet meg nem is lattam, szoval maradt ami van otthon. fozd egy 20-30 percet, kostold meg es adj hozza meg halszoszt vagy cukrot/sot ha akarsz. erdetileg en 4 szegfuszeget tettem bele, de eppenhogy csak egy kicsit, tul szegfuszeges lett, ezert irtam a hozzavalokhoz csak harmat. de alapvetoen ha neked jobban izlik mashogy csak adj hozza tobbet/kevesebbet barmibol. ha gondolod a vegen potold a vizet ami elfott.

altalaban a ramenhez 350 ml-vel szamolunk egy adagra, de az joval laktatobb, itt szamolhattok 4-500 ml-vel adagonkent. szurd le es maris kesz a pho alapleved. tedd vissza a tuzre es forrald fel.

gyakorlatilag ha teszel bele fott rizstesztat ez mar egy pho-nek minosul, de ha van ra lehetoseged es kapsz hozza mindent erdemes azert ennel magasabb szintre emelni a levest.

mikor mar majdnem kesz az alaple melegits vizet, ha forr dobj bele annyi babcsirat amit epp megennetek, blansirozd egy percig, majd szedd ki. mehet ugyanabba a vizbe a rizsteszta (vannak olyanok amiket csak aztatni kell, vagy aztatni kell fozes elott, nezd meg a csomagolast neked eppen milyen van) ha megfott mehet egybol a tanyerba a csirakkal egyutt.

en a marhahust vekonyra felszeltem es nyersen tettem a tanyerba majd a tuzforro leves ahogy raszedtem pont megfozte annyira hogy tokeletes legyen, de ha te jobban szereted jobban atfove csak dobd bele az alaplebe es fozd par percig.

aztan mehetnek a feltetek ha szeretned es kapsz, thai bazsalikom (a sima nem jo, a thainak anizsosabb ize van), koriander zold, thai chili ha szereted csiposen, finomra vagott zoldhagyma es egy gerezd lime rafacsarva a levesre.

a kanyon, eredeti neven pine creek gorge, legkozelebbi vege 3 orara van otthontol, de a szallast kb a kozepenel talaltuk es amugy is szeretunk autopalya helyett kisebb forgalmu utakon, varosokon, falvakon keresztul autozni igy egy kicsit tovabb tartott. amugy az appalachia hegyseg nagyon szep, nem olyan gigantikus mint a rockies, de nagyon kis kedves, kb olyan volt keresztul autozni mintha a matran vagtunk volna keresztul, csak ez esetben a matra miskolctol gyorig huzodik.

mielott bringazni kezdtunk volna megegneztunk egy kilatopontot a patak nyugati oldalan ahonnan szep kilatas nyilt az egesz kanyonra.

nagyon tetszett, hogy magara a trailre nem igazan lehetett ramenni autoval, az egyik fele a bringasoknak volt fenntartva, a masik a gyalogosoknak es lovasoknak. ugyan nem aszfalt volt hanem ledongolt fold amitol kicsit feltem a varosi bringammal, de nem volt semmi gond mivel az autok nem tettek tonkre, a lovak sem szartak ossze, gond nelkul lehetett keskeny gumival is gurulni. maga a patak es a kanyon nagyon szep a foletornyosulo ormokkal es erdokkel, par kilometerenkent voltak pihenok padokkal es bringatarokkal, de lattunk szerelopontot is es par helyet ahol satorozni is lehetett kiepitett tuzrakohelyekkel es kemping asztalokkal, ezekhez el lehetett jutni autoval de nem a bringauton keresztul.

vegul oda-vissza 45km lett a tura, el is faradtunk mindketten rendesen, azert regebben ennel jobban birtuk, de teny hogy miota amerikaban vagyunk mar egyikunk se bringazik naponta, iowaban nem volt hova, pittsburghben meg a hegyek es a forgalom miatt altalaban csak hetvegenkent teszunk egy-egy kort.

meg gyorsan megneztuk a kanyont a keleti oldalrol is, onnan is nagyon szep, foleg az ott vitorlazo pulykakeselyukkel (turkey vulture).

gyorsan a szallas fele vettuk az iranyt mert mar rankfert egy zuhany vacsi elott, kb haromezer bogarka volt rankragadva. a szoba amit kivettunk nagyon szep helyen van, kicsit feljebb a patak mellett, tobb kisebb nagyobb ronkhazat adnak ki van aminel az egesz hazat ki lehet venni hot tubbal, de szerencsere volt egy nagy haz kisebb szobakkal is, de azokhoz is van terasz, hintaszekkel es kakas formaju legycsapoval.

aznapra mar csak a vacsora volt hatra, szerencsere talaltunk egy nagyon klassz helyet, clam chowder-el lenyugtattuk a korgo gyomrunkat amig vartunk a mahi-mahi burgerre chow-meinnel es egy negyed fontos angus burgerre rantott savanyu uborkaval. a hazi chips es a szinten hazi buzasoruk csak hab volt a tortan, megelegedetten terhettunk nyugovora.

ugy voltunk vele, ha mar eljovunk idaig, itt van kozel (2 es fel ora) bufallo es a niagara. ugyan ez utobbit mar lattuk mikor zsuzso osztondijon volt torontoban, de csak a kanadai oldalrol, ugyhogy ugy voltunk vele, hogy miert ne.

mielott indultunk volna meg betertunk egy helyi reggelizobe, ahol zsuzso egy tojasos-baconos-sajtos fahejas bagelt evett, en pedig egy tojasos-kolbaszos-sajtos szendvicset ami kenyer helyett szirupos palacsintaban volt (nem tudom van-e ott a mekiben mcgriddle szendvics, ha van, ez olyan volt csak kb 10x jobb). amellett hogy borzaszto jo volt minden, magalapitottuk, hogy amiota elhagytuk pittsburghot csak es kizarolag kedves es segitokesz emberekkel talalkoztunk, ugyhogy majd meg visszaterunk.

a kiados reggeli utan, irany a niagara ahol vegre a masik oldalrol is megcsodalhattuk a vilag egyik leghiresebb vizeseset. azt kell mondjuk igazuk van azoknak aki azt mondjak a kanadai oldarol szebb a kilatas, de igy is megerte, foleg hogy nalunk voltak a bringak, amikkel korbe tudtuk tekerni az egesz szigetet es csinaltunk csillio kepet a vizesesekrol kb az osszes lehetseges szogbol.

indulas elott meg talaltunk egy olasz pekseget ahol nagyon klassz dolgok voltak, egy szelet pizza es egy sfogliatelle mellett dontottunk, mindketto igen kivalo volt, kar hogy ilyen nincs pittsburghben.

nem maradt mas mint faradtan hazafele indulni, jo sokaig a lake erie mellett vitt az utunk amin szinten nagyon szep videk, el is hataroztuk hogy oda is visszaterunk meg.

Old-ish art of two characters from my original story, Ace of Swords. Daedalos is the king of the Alves, older brother of princes Aman and Santos. Kallisto is his wife and queen.

Daedalos is strict, serious and proper but a good man who takes his role as king very seriously. 

 Kallisto is a bit absent-minded and prefers to read books and study the stars over ruling. A lot of the nobles at the palace find her a bit odd.

Hey! I’ve been around on tumblr for a while now, and have been writing for probably the best part of fifteen years but actually only posting publicly for the last three. I’ve only ever posted fanfic, but I never stopped writing original things, I’ve just never felt able to share any of it until now. So here’s a little intro for me and my writing!

General stuff:

Other hobbies outside of writing include reading, crocheting, cross stitching, hiking and spending time with my three cats.

My anxiety can make it hard for me to post consistently, but I will ALWAYS talk about my wips with anyone willing to listen to me ramble, just be prepared for those rambles to get looooooong.

Themes in my writing:

For anyone who knows me, I think it’s safe to say I lean very much toward the cliche romance which aims to leave you wanting to gag on the sweetness whilst embracing the fuzzy warmth in your chest.

I hate sad endings. My characters will always have happy ones… eventually.

I try to keep my writing light since the real world makes us all suffer enough, so any angst will usually be light touch and always necessary to the character and or plot. I do make my OCs suffer sometimes, but not needlessly.

A focus on realistic characters, character growth and character traits.

What am I working on right now?

Untitled (titles are hard) A fantasy romance between a human and the demon who accidentally saved his life.

The general plot will follow both characters as they help each other (unintentionally at first) to heal and learn, to grow together as individuals. The human gets his opportunity to confront a past which has left him feeling empty inside and unable to form meaningful relationships, and the demon gets the chance to learn a little about what it means to be human. Their first meeting turns into a deal which binds them together, then a friendship neither thought they were capable of having, and eventually something more.

The main characters: Aviditas, Avi for short, an Incubus and Silk (placeholder name) a human.

Character development and growth

Healing and comfort

A little slow burn but it’s more because these two are just idiots, with Silk thinking he’s so undeserving of any kind of care on account of past events and Avi being conditioned in Hell to believe that demons are incapable of any sort of feeling that it takes them a WHILE to work things out and actually talk.

Fun tropey romance!

I’ve tried to keep this short for the sake of everyones sanity but I will talk endlessly about this story and the characters if anyone would like to know more. (But I’ll also be posting more about them anyway so…)

Fate or Fatuity? (working title) Another fantasy romance! No surprises here. This time, following the sons of two feuding kings who meet entirely by chance and gradually grow closer.

The general plot follows the characters as they navigate their feelings, potential conflict between their kingdoms, and how to keep their relationship a secret until they can figure it all out.

The main characters: Ilua, an elf and prince of Luceras and Akoni, a Deorum and prince of Tuath De.

This story takes place in a world of my own creation called Miotas, which draws on Celtic mythology and folklore. It includes a generous amount of magic to balance out the politics, and as with all of my writing, the romance is light and fun. Spoiler alert: there’s a happy ending.
