Maron isn't canon in the slightest, but I was thinking today about how interesting it is that Krillin treats both her and 18 exactly the same. He's super kind and caring to them both, generous, accommodating, and he lets both of them go when he realises they might not be that into him. The only difference is that Maron goes 'okay cool bye :u' and 18 goes 'I respect that behaviour fuck yeah <3' and comes right back

I'm confused because wasn't Marron also the name of one of Krillin's exes? I'm sure 18 took that swimmingly.

Krillin's girlfriend Maron is not a canon character, she was something the anime just invented for a few filler episodes and they wanted a name that was similar to Krillin so they called her Maron (both names mean 'chestnut') ^^

Similarly, when Toriyama decided to give Krillin a daughter he also wanted to use a name that was similar to Krillin and also picked Marron, completely by coincidence, Marron is actually named in honour of her father which is honestly really freaking adorable ;u;
