'tis the season for cleaning !

You and Umemiya both find yourselves a whole week with nothing to do (absolutely zilch). So...you both reckon on a very needed deep cleaning of the house. What do you and Umemiya tackle first? The living room? The entrance? The bathroom? What trinkets will the two of you find and reminisce over? An old movie ticket receipt? Some polaroids? Baby photos?

[It's time for a break! Cleaning is taxing! What will the two of you have to replenish and keep your energy levels up for the day? Snacks? Fruits? Any drinks?]

The bags are tied and the bins are full -> a successful cleaning session! Aren't you feeling a bit tired? Now it's end the day...what will you and Umemiya do to wind down? A relaxing bath....or maybe a hearty dinner?

First of all....a whole week with nothing to do?? I'd cry in relief first tbh. I do imagine I'd be laying on the couch and see the dust under the tv stand or something and immediately just...activate cleaning mode. Living room is the easiest but also the most distracting stuff is in there cause that's where we keep the scrapbooks/photo albums. Once I get a hold of those it's so over it takes like an hour to get back on track because we're both going over every picture as if we weren't both there for half of them.

We'd find a lot of stuff in my miscellaneous boxes (if i dont know where to put something it goes in there) and Ume's wondering why I have so many spare buttons. Only cause I keep them if either of us buy new clothes and they come with them and it's like...what if we DO need them??? we wont Especially if it's from a coat or smth Ume's really fond of? Kept in the box/drawer for eternity.

hmm what are we eating...I'm a handful of shredded cheese from the fridge kind of girl but I assume he makes me eat actual food, whether it's fruit from the counter or a granola bar OTL I'm making tea for sure, but he drinks water.

After all that we'd probably be exhausted so I'm calling for take out rather than dirtying the just-cleaned kitchen and further after I think we're both just curling up on the bed to watch a movie till we pass out (which only takes about 5 mins)

Day 4 of trying to make sense of ultrakill designs: minos prime 😍

I LOVE MINOS PRIME i scream at the top of my lungs

I just like his personality a lot I think he would be a nice guy to listen to stories to I would let him yap

And we're back with more of this au because I found the motivation to draw! Plus a small yapping session because ik some people want to know a little more about it!!

Minos in this au is the co owner of a casino with Sisyphus, and they're married! I don't have official designs for them quite yet, but they do play quite a role in the plot I have for them. Gabriel gets desperate in trying to find information about the serial killer, and V2 only knows so much.

So he goes to the casino the prime souls runs to gather more information because he got a few tips from the people he investigated to go there, the people that he wants to investigate are there but Minos notices the two and stands in their way and disrupts the case purposefully because he has a major grudge against Gabriel.

The way Minos spots Gabriel is when he's on stage, singing and goes to the table and talks to Gabriel in front of literally EVERYONE so LMAO, Gabriel has to retreat to the bathroom to recollect himself and V2 is the one asking Minos for info.

Bonus doodles! V2 and Gabriel become partners in solving the case because V2 also wants the culprit in jail for.. personal reasons (aka stealing their arm and leaving them bleeding out until someone found them, took them to the hospital where they got questioned and taken in at because they looked similar to the killers description)

Gabriel investigates V2, not completely trusting that V2 is actually the killer and what do you know! V2 isn't so Gabriel let's V2 out, but with one condition, they help him solve this case and they reluctantly agree. (Gabriel has a general dislike towards machines at the start of the story but eventually grows to like V2, maybe something more.)

HI! HI! I'M THE GUY FROM AO3 IF IT WASN'T OBVIOUS FROM MY CRUSH 40 THEMED BLOG!!

(note . i might be reaching with A LOT of this stuff but this is MY special interest and hyperfixation and i get to say what i want. also i think you'd understand what i mean when i say things)

so, let's get one thing out of the way. on it's own, i am all of me is both a v1 song and a gabriel song on their own in my head

^ this, to me, is v1. the "black writing" in my head is directed towards the writings found on the murals of gabriel in 4-3. "unleashed a million faces / and one by one they fall" all the husks and demons in hell being there for who knows how long, before the machines (or in this case, just v1) come around and start killing them all off. in the grand scheme, v1 is the villain in this story (killing the denizens of hell without mercy, even with a reason thats still a villain), the "black hearted evil", but at the end of the day is still the protagonist, the "brave hearted hero"

^ and this is gabriel. it REALLY reminds me of his monologues to v1, but the beginning is what really sells it. those first two lines really encapsulate who he is as a character, or at least who he was before v1 came around- a weapon for the council (who, if you REALLY wanted to reach for it can also be seen as the evil in this case, and these two lines can be seen as him killing the council). "i laugh and watch you fall" can be seen as the fight in 6-2, going from a accusatory anger to manic laughter. and again, story-wise, gabriel is the antagonist, the main person against the protagonist, v1 (and also was the villain of the past lore, killing off minos & sisyphus most notably when they tried to make hell better). but he's the "hero" of this story (if you think more towards just the current part of ultrakill and not the past lore that takes place beforehand), trying to stop the villain, v1.

now, how does this all tie into gabv1el? simple. two different things. one, i like thinking about how those two verses mentioned above would play out if they said these things to one another, especially with gabriel's end. the manic laughter he has in 6-2 is probably one of the strongest forces the gabv1 fanbase has to show the canonicity of the ship, and "i laugh and watch you fall" really reflects there to me

but also the chorus of the song is? very gabv1 in my head?

like this really reminds me of the almost. i don't want to say OBSESSIVE nature of gabv1el since i know they can be a lot more than that but that's definitely slightly part of it. their obsession with each other that drives them closer (pun only slightly intended) to one another. "capture you or set you free" too. it can be seen from either perspective of the two. for v1, kill gabriel like its programming wants it to or let him live. for gabriel it's the same- kill v1 like how he was supposed to although, now he really has no reason to do so), or let it live to keep observing it and watching its movements and actions (which we have slight proof of him already doing! his dialogue in 6-1). you could also see "can you see all of me? / walk into my mystery" as gabriel talking to v1. he knows about v1 but v1 doesn't know about him. as you play the game more you learn about him through terminals, so by that logic v1 ALSO learns as it progress more, or "walks" into the mystery.

this part also applies to what was said above^

anyways! all in all i think this song for SURE is v1 & gabriel respectively and if you really reach it can be gabv1el. there's definitely crush 40 songs that are more gabv1el than this one (like down & dirty or 2 nights 2 remember) but hey. it's a fun challenge to connect just about anything to crush 40 whenever possible :p

I feel like v1 would fiddle with things on you like a necklace or parts of your clothing just because the material was weird to him

Would 100% make some kind of mechanical purr when cuddling you

His wings will flutter a little happy to be so close to something that doesn't want him dead

V2

Likes when you put your full weight on them

Pretty much likes to wrap themselves completely around you so you feel so safe in their arms

If you have hair I imagine they like to play with it or brush their fingers through it

Probably makes little beeps and whirring noises while cuddling up with you

Kinda just pats your back from time to time while trying to get closer and more comfortable

Gabriel

Probably touch starved and will not let you go for hours!

If you've decided to cuddle this man you have to also listen to him yap about random things but he'll definitely also listen to you talk about your day and other things

Most likely takes off parts of his armor so he can actually get comfortable with you. Most likely lets you rest your head on his chest

Wraps his wings around you if you both fall asleep while cuddling almost like his wings are like a nice soft blanket for you

possibly reads to you while cuddling and just lets you feel the vibrations of his voice on your face

The most lovey-dovey angel you have probably met if he's allowing you to cuddle him

Minos

Due to his experience with anything romantic, he probably knows all the best ways to get you nice and comfortable

definitely a believer in soft blankets and pillows

doesn't matter if it's prime or before prime Minos knows just the thing you need when you come to him for cuddles

Probably likes to talk to you are maybe on rare occasions hums to you while cuddling

Sisyphus

Probably gives you a nice comfortable squeeze

big man means big fucking pillow! You love how plush but firm Sisyphus is while cuddling

Sisyphus is probably fairly warm so if you get cold easily he's the perfect partner for cold nights

Would most likely bring some snacks for the both of you to share if it's just a casual cuddle and not you two getting ready to sleep (which he definitely snores)

big teddy bear energy would allow you to squeeze him like one too but be warned he will squeeze you back harder /j

Swordmachine

big arms to hug you better!! Absolutely wraps you up in its big arms to cuddle better

french fry machine likes to basically just blanket over you completely putting a comfortable amount of weight on you

similar to v2 swordmachine likes to make beeps and other robotic noises while you two cuddle

Most likely would let you fiddle and examine his sword if you asked if you could while the two of you were together

Streetcleaners

look made for cuddles and will absolutely wrap you up in their arms

I imagine if there is a pair of streetcleaners they just sorta pile on you making it a nice little cuddle pile

they like to put their silly little heads on yours while making some form of whirring noise letting you feel the vibration from it

These silly guys are probably fairly warm due to well, they do start fires after all

Drones

interesting choice but they make happy beeps when you wrap yourself around the little things

they will in fact swarm you just so they can all get some affection like cats almost

you will be absolutely drowned in how many of the silly flying things will surround you

Mindflayer

These robots would be surprisingly plush depending on the one you would meet.

they would wrap you up in their tendrils almost like they didn't want you to leave for a good while

I feel like they would possibly be more flirty than the other machines because well, they are from lust are they not?

first throwing the technical things aside, rosaline is a winter eladrin echo knight fighter (8), who multiclassed into ranger (2) but started out with her first level as a bard (1). formerly a carefree and bubbly individual, she's grown paranoid and agitated over the course of the partys adventures.

curse of strahd spoilers ahead!

rosaline started her journey with her younger brother, hamlet, trying to restore their noble families reputation after their mothers evil actions. while they failed miserably in that aspect, they somehow managed to make a group of friends, secure a fuckton of money through a Waterdeep Dragon Heist™️, and open a tavern with it.

things went well for a while, until the pull of adventure once again dragged them off into the lands of barovia. quite early on, rosaline was attacked by an infernal scarecrow, earning herself a brand on her leg which initially allowed it to track her, but now is far more malicious and attatched to her soul itself.

after this, rosaline very much struggles with her sense of identity. the infernal brand has a fun little property that has essentially made her infernal as well, with the ability to summon and control fire as well as speak fiendish languages. the side effect of this is that the more she uses it, the more the devil (scarecrow) becomes her, and vice versa.

around the same time she initially got the infernal mark, we met an npc druid named mino. rosaline and mino became quick friends, doing their best to protect each other against the dangers of barovia.

with the rest of the party, they met ireena, an important npc in any curse of strahd game, and then decided to take her into the group. as a whole, they went through a whole bunch of wild shit which i'll probably yap about another day.

mino would later on become her best friend, her lover, and then fucking die. in the aftermath of their death, the party got split up, and she was left to deal with her grief on her own, except for the company of ireena, who rosaline closely bonded with. rosaline does not know that ireena accidentally caused minos death via a lot of bombs (ꞋꞌꞋꞌŏ_ŏ)

this is what initially began to spark her resentment for the party, after they returned together and she found out that the person who was supposed to watch over their corpse had managed to loose it. she does not trust her brother, who earlier in the campaign left for a bit, as she believes he'll just abandon her again like their father. the only person she still maintains some trust in is ireena.

after that, she has been the only person who has actively mentioned the druid or prompted a search, furthering her belief that since her friends (in her mind) did not care about a close friends death, they do not truly care about her or each other either.

as well as this, there's a large chunk of stuff to go with her echo knight subclass regarding her various selves throughout the multiverse. in barovia, there was another version of rosaline who died long ago. this past version of rosaline absolutely hates her present self, blaming her for all the misfortunes that are to come. present rosaline is terrified of following in her footsteps, and makes quite drastic decisions to try to twist fate and forge her own path. out of fear, she's developed a deep sense of distrust in both her allies and herself.

throughout this journey, rosaline continues to make worse and worse decisions in the name of keeping herself and her allies safe, quite similar to how her mother (whom she resents) was once led down a similar path. she was recently accused of this by her little brother after a scandal in which she absorbed the essence of a soul coin to avoid her own death. the party does not quite agree with the morals of eating souls.

in the latest sessions, we've been investigating a haunted manor. through an unfortunate event in a mirror dimension, rosaline activated a trap trying to save ireena.

where she proceeded to get instantly fucking atomized and torn apart between many, many mirrors (,,•᷄‎ᗣ•᷅ ,,)

that's! where we're at right now!! i will be posting an update on monday to see if the party can manage to save her. it may be difficult... since after rosaline was imprisoned, her mirror self appeared and proceeded to kill our cleric...
