I can hardly contain my excitement for Minnie's solo debut! I've been hoping for her to release a solo album for quite some time.

During (G)I-DLE's entire career, Minnie's tracks have consistently been my favorites. Each of her songs deserves to be a title track; they all carry her unique charm. I can identify her songs instantly, even without checking the credits.

And her voice? It's simply angelic and dreamy! Listening to her music feels like stepping into a magical realm.

KINKTOBER MASTERLIST

Hello, Bacøn here. As the title say this is the masterlist for this kinktober, here goona be adding the daily fics I'll post. 

Have to say that this isn't exactly a normal kinktober, or more like my own kinktober version. Everything gonna be under 1k words and not exactly 31 different kinks and idols. [EXCERPT FROM TRANSCRIPT: STRAY KIDS X JYP 'ALL IN' SPECIAL INTERVIEW]

- Q4: How did you come to the decision to add another member to Stray Kids two years after their debut?

JYP - Ah...as a company, we had a trainee that was the right age to debut, had been with us a long time and proved that she was an extremely hard worker and very dedicated, and had developed all the skills to debut - but we didn't have a group that we could envision her in. And so we discussed, the possibility of debut as a solo artist...or the opportunity to  replace the vocalist that Stray Kids had lost a year ago - a year before - and she's an absolutely stunning vocalist, a really capable singer - and through those discussions, and recommendations from her trainers, and looking at our, our vision for the future, we decided that she just matched the energy and the personality of Stray Kids too perfectly to let it go.

Bang Chan - At first...at first we didn't think we would need a ninth member anymore, but as a team we heard about Y/N and the idea to bring her in as a member, and we heard her sing and - well first, I thought that voice was amazing, and of course it was very different to any of ours and a whole new colour that we could bring to our music. And we heard about her hard work, and when we met we liked her, and so we decided that maybe she was a Stray Kid too, and she joined our group, and she is a very trusted member of our family now and our loved noona and still the hardest working member, and we're very happy the way that we are.

-Q5: Y/N, how do you feel about what JYP just said, and what was it like to join Stray Kids?

Y/N - It feels...very good. Very good. I've worked hard for a long time, and missed many chances, so to be able to join this group and finally find a place to belong and go forward with my dreams is...is a dream. To hear JYP PD-nim say that the company saw all my hard work and wanted to keep me on with them even when the debut with Midnight wasn't an option; it's very humbling, I didn't know that, and when the kids say that they liked me and wanted to welcome me to their group-

Y/N - It is! But I'm so grateful. And I'm working very hard to bring my own colour to Stray Kids and to represent the group as best as I can.

many IXLUVS were excited when it was announced that EXILE HER would be attending MAMA this year. like some of the artist, y/n appeared on both days; however, only performed during DAY 2. along with her solo performance, y/n also participated in the SUPER STAGE: GODDESS AWAKENED stage with YUNJIN of LE SSERAFIM, XIAOTING of KEP1ER, BADA LEE from STREET WOMAN FIGHTER 2, MONIKA from STREET WOMAN FIGHTER, and MINNIE of (G)I-DLE.

( RED CARPET ) being styled in a black and white dress by the brand stars n' bones, y/n was a stunner on the red carpet. the idol did a mixture of both seductive and playful poses for the camera that won a lot of netizens hearts. many fans commented on how y/n hasn't looked like she's had this much fun at MAMA since her debut at the award show.

( DITTO + GODS ) y/n's performance began with her singing the opening to "DITTO" with a single spotlight on her as dancers danced around her in school uniforms. styled in a long black coat-dress with a tule skirt, y/n embodies a very solemn tone at the beginning of her performance as she dances to the choreo while the camera spins around her. the song fades into "GODS" as she does a quick outfit change revealing a dress underneath. more dancers appear on stage with them all wearing black hoods pulled over their heads. this performance had a more powerful presence compared to her opening and thought both songs went extremely well together. the performance was regarded as one of the best ones at the award show.

( GODDESS AWAKENED ; BLACK SWAN [MAMA VER.] ) y/n's performance in the collaboration stage was unexpected. however, despite it being unexpected, y/n performed very well. she sang a short snippet of her song "BLACK SWAN" and did a contemporary dance. many netizens were surprised when at one point it was revealed that y/n had done her dance barefoot. unfortunately, y/n was injured while performing, having stepped on something that was on stage, but she managed to power through it until the end. this cause a lot of netizens to praise y/n, but also criticize MNET.

Countdown for Minnie's solo album

K-pop's biggest underdog

I wouldn't call myself a K-pop enthusiast, but I can appreciate a good voice and a well-produced song no matter the genre, and Minnie, the Thai-born member of K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE, not only has one of the most captivating voices out there, but she's also a hell of a good producer and songwriter.

I discovered (G)I-DLE early this year after I finally gave in to watching their performance in Killing Voice. At this point, I was already familiar with Queencard and Super Lady, but as bombastic as the Super Lady music video is, neither song did anything for me. However, Minnie's voice in the first lines of Queencard caught my attention. I became curious to know if her voice was in fact that dreamy or if it was just part of the effect added during post-production, and oh boy...her voice is that and more.

They started the set in Killing Voice with their debut single, Latata, the first time Minnie's distinctive "Uh, Uh" appears and perfectly showcases her characteristic earthy tone. Lion and Oh My God came after, both songs with very famous lines from Minnie. But it's her delivery in My Bag that got me completely on my knees.

After this, I gave (G)I-DLE's discography a shot, and even though most of their singles are pretty good (Lion should be on everyone's best K-pop songs ever list), the b-sides were the standouts. I remember there were 4 songs that I kept replaying repeatedly: Dahlia, Moon, Lucid, and the song that made me a fan, Escape. After some more digging, I was surprised to find out that they produced their own music (all of their singles and pre-release singles are produced by Soyeon), and most of the b-sides are produced by Yuqi or Minnie. When looking at the credits, I discovered that not only the 4 most replayed songs, but all the other b-sides that caught my attention had something in common: Minnie co-produced and wrote/co-wrote them. I didn't have any other choice but to jump on Minnie's bandwagon, and I'm afraid there's no way back.

Solo debut

Minnie has confirmed that her highly-anticipated solo debut should come out after the band's latest mini-album, I Sway. Since the band is currently on tour and Minnie mentioned her desire to have her album in spring or winter, word on the street is that the company is preparing for a January/February release.

Now, and since there are still some weeks left, I would like to start a weekly post with Minnie's songs, from less favorite to most favorite, in preparation for what's already expected to be one of the best releases by a solo female artist.

nika is a brand ambassador for MIUMIU since 2023! she has made appearances at their launch parties and paris fashion week, and she loves it sooooo much!

nika lives in the WAYV dorms and lives with yangyang and xiaojun! monique has offered multiple times to have her be her roommate, but nika can’t let go of all of wayv’s animals (and the members) 💔
