Mini and Moni music FOR THE SOUL. I need to process this video because I hold these two particular people very close to my heart and together they make my insides soft and tender.

I listened to Heaven this morning on clear ears, it was on Stationhead, and I almost thought it was a classic..a song I've been listening to my whole life. That's how much It felt like 'coming home'. Heaven is superb and I'm glad 10/10 Jimin’s agree 🥺🥹😭

So I just had some thoughts about the minimoni exchange that I really needed to share - their relationship is so cute. There was one thing that I'm confused about and I wanted to know if it was just me lol, and that's the narrative Jimin was telling about how Muse came about. That Pdogg asked him what his thoughts are, and Jimin said he's been feeling a lot of apathy lately (I'm paraphrasing here cause I can't remember the words!).

Then he went straight into talking about how the album is about having a crush, but he said he can't remember the last time he had a crush. And he had to have help from a younger producer to talk about what a crush was like. He didn't really go into why he wrote an album about having a crush when he said he can't remember the last time, just that he's been feeling not much excitement lately. He even explained this albums emotions as "vague." If I could go into depth about it, my interpretation (could be completely wrong) is that it's an explanation of coming to terms with his sexuality, that the expectation that he fall in love with women but no matter how many relationships with women he's had he just can't find the one. Until JK comes along....

Sorry my thoughts are all over the place 😂😂. I just wanted to know if someone also found it confusing or it's just my ADHD brain!

Hello my love! I'm probably going to use your ask to talk about Muse as a whole I think. Hope that's okay ❤️ I'll make other posts for the songs individually if I have more I want to say in depth about specific songs.... Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and theories too! I love them!

My thoughts and feelings about Muse as a whole below the photo 💜 disclaimer that these are just my thoughts and opinions. I am in no way claiming this as fact or truth and unless I'm quoting something, these are all my own words. Everyone is entitled to agree or disagree as they see fit.

This will be a longer post.... So strap in I guess!

SO! To start, Pdogg shared with us that Jimins album/SMGB was in part inspired by the Beatles conceptual album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." He said, and I quote:

"It was inspired by a conceptual album like the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.' And I tried to incorporate the excitement I felt when thinking of Muse into the songs. The flow of emotions is directly reflected in the track order, so it will be more fun if you focus on that."

Intro: Rebirth and Interlude: Showtime is what gives that connection and crossover from FACE, with its sound and chorus use, into the new concept and album I believe. Which Jimin has explicitly stated that Muse is not connected with FACE really at all. But that does give its connection and crossover from those first 2 songs. So you could EASILY listen to them back to back and find it flows smoothly from one sound into another!

Face is clearly about introspection, facing oneself, that vulnerability and overcoming that pain. It's about freeing yourself. Muse seems to be conceptually about finally feeling free enough to pursue that prospect of love and being open to those feelings. It was brought up by Minseong Kim, his performance director, in VMagazine that (I'm paraphrasing) they basically were focusing more on his masculine side and expressions for Who and in Muse. While in Face, Jimin showcased more of his vulnerabilities and his more feminine side and expressions. Specifically seeking out that contrast. Full interview here:

Now I don't know about you ... But it's giving gender. And I love that. It's not something new for Jimin, he leans into that contrast within himself alot. It's really giving gender fluidity. And I think that's on purpose. Jimin doesn't do things by accident. He thinks through everything and Jimin is in charge at the end for his projects. And considering how OFTEN this concept of *both*, of feminine and masculine, comes up in Jimins personal projects/stages, it's clearly something important to him that he wants to be highlighted.

Jimin absolutely had full control over the stories he wanted to tell in each song, even Who, where he didn't have full writing credits. He explained the thoughts, feelings and ideas he was wanting to express. We saw him in the behind scenes of things having direct input on his songs, the MV, and creating his own choreo. The Talent 😍 we were specifically told that Jimin "directly explained to them what he wanted to convey and the direction he wanted to take for this album and each song. This allowed us to put together tracks that are more musically diverse, but still feel right for him." Quote comes from an interview article from the Clash here

Similarly shared in another article, Pdogg said "We made it with Jon Bellion in New York. I remember Jimin personally explaining to him what story he wanted to tell, and he was really embarrassed/shy. I met Jimmy Fallon by chance in the studio next door. We played the song for him for the first time after we finished working on it. In fact After finishing work on the 'FACE' album, we went straight into the production of 'MUSE' and I thought, 'He's working this hard before his military enlistment?' Thanks to Jimin's hard work, you'll be able to see his musical journey, which has grown even more." From here

Okay, now that we got all those interview snippets out of the way from Jimins team.... We can get into more of Jimins words and my own thoughts/theories here too.... 😏🥰 But we like to work theories off facts, so we gotta get our base line!

Jimin finished recording his album in June of 2023.

Jimin stated in MMM that the first 5 songs in his album were basically the emotions related to having a crush and confessing your feelings. That would be:

Intro: Rebirth

Interlude: Showtime

SGMB

Slow Dance

Be Mine

And then the 6th track, Who, he takes it all back and is like no, that's not really true. Where he also lets us know that there really isn't a connection to FACE in the grand scheme of things.

To start with the title too.... Who are the Muses? The Greek Goddesses of artistic inspiration. Jimin has been drawing from Greek Mythology a lot recently, with Apollo and Artemis featuring in his photofolio too. Now while the basics premise of a Muse is and can be very romantic in nature, it isn't always. Jimins album Muse is inherently full of romantic songs, but I also think it's clear from his talk on MMM that this album is not JUST about looking for your run of the mill, romantic relationship and love.... But being in search of your passion, your heart and your desires. It's the expression of yearning. Yearning for love, for life, for his music, his work, his Identity as a person and an artist, to feel excited over something and look forward to something. He specially says to RM during MMM that he isn't sure if he will ever be satisfied with himself as an artist or find a version of himself that he is fully satisfied with (I'm paraphrasing). It's the idea that this search for his Muse (that satisfaction in himself and as an artist) is ongoing and probably will FOREVER be ongoing. Hence why in the end of the Who MV, after all that back and forth with so many people.... He is still alone. That search is still happening. Hence also why this desperate search of who his heart is waiting for is at the end of the album, not opening it up. He still hasn't found her, the Muses. His satisfaction. The yearning that is driving him forward to grow and learn and adapt and dig deeper into his art, is still there.

Jimin has a lot of control over his projects. His albums, songs, and performances. As he should. But it's important for everyone to remember that this album starts and finishes with JIMIN. And what he wants to say and express, this is his art, his emotions and his ideas, regardless of if he has help writing lyrics or not. To bring this back to my last paragraph above.... Passion as an artist is something plenty of people can relate to, but not everyone. Romance on the other hand is something *almost* everyone CAN relate to. And bringing those feelings of yearning and desire for passion and excitement and translating that into feelings of crushes, first love, romantic connect. Brings that full circle and is the outward Expression he chose to help represent the emotions and feelings he was trying to express through this album. I think it's also important to note that while Jimin expressed his desire for excitement and passion and how he is still looking for that.... He made sure to make it clear that he is happy and content with where he is at and who he is currently. These things can coexist!

Who in general could have some takes and theories about sexuality and what not, like anon said, I've definitely seen a variety of theories out there. I do think Jimin has long since come to terms with his sexuality though, but that doesn't mean that the inspiration from that couldn't still be drawn on. I can talk about that more in a post I make specifically only for Who. Soooo many things could be said for Who! Jikook Week 50 Complete (19/11-26/11/2024)

Their 50th week in the military is now complete. Today we are looking back at this week in 2020. This was a big week for BTS with the release of Be on 20th November along with Life Goes On directed by none other than Jeon Jungkook.

On the same day these concept photos were released to accompany the album. Jimin in a room full of flowers and JK backed by a wall of music speakers. Both of them looking fabulous in their own way.

Their agenda was packed with interviews and appearances that week. Alongside the promo activities Run BTS 116 (17/11) & 117 (24/11) were shown. Run BTS was centered around good team work. There were 16 potential missions but they only had to pass five of these before they could go home.

Minimoni had a penalty from the previous episode and had to wear flowery trousers and rubber shoes.

Game 1: Read my Mind ✔️Success - The members had to do a pose in response to a specific word e.g. heart and they would win if their poses were all different. There was a fair amount of creativity on show and the game was completed in quick time.

Game 2: Jump Rope ✔️Success - In the second game, BTS had to jump rope 50 times. Jikook took the lions share of the work together doing 30 jumps and Sope did the least with 5 between them.

Game 3: Tennis ❌Failure - Despite having Hobi on the team (bronze medal winner in a tournament of three teams) tennis just didn't work out for them.

Game 4: Guess the song - ✔️Success -Tae, JK and Suga took turns to be blindfolded. They had to feel the poses that each member was making and from that guess the song. Jimin is squirming when it was Tae's turn to guess and then there was JK. We know he did include Jimin, there is even the picture below from the behind but that whole sequence is cut from the show.

JK guessed correctly and Suga also turns out to be a bit of a whizz at the game so they safely completed this round.

Game 5: Table cloth pull - ✔️Success - This was a really difficult challenge and the staff kept setting the bar lower and lower when BTS failed to achieve it. Initially the target was 4/7 to successfully keep the bottles upright while the table cloth is pulled away but by the end BTS had successfully negotiated that one person would be enough. Jimin was up and no one was more surprised than he was that he successfully pulled it off.

Game 6: Bottle Pass - ✔️Success - They took ages planning how to take on this challenge and had numerous unsuccessful dry runs but when put on a timer, they competitiveness and teamwork won through and they successfully completed the task.

They displayed such good team work that they were able to complete the challenges by 6pm and went home three hours early.

I relate to that anon who misses your Jimin posts. I always wondered why you wrote more about non-rapline members than the rapline who you biased. Esp JM, JK, V, and sometimes Jin. But now that Jimin is your bias I notice you posting more about Taekook than Jimin so now we’re Jimin deprived 😭

It sucks cos I like how you write about him. I’ve been going back to your posts about Face and even your posts from before his releases Face. You were one of the first bloggers who said Jimin’s music was the one you were most looking forward to. When other people doubted him you shut that shit down with “he’s Park Jimin for goodness sake”. Is there anything you can add about his music making process though BPP? Anything at all? Maybe some screenshots like you just did for Minimoni? Thank you.

Consider it an abridged summary of why we were looking forward to Jimin's solo work the most, as well as what we think about his creative process. I'll tie it back to FACE at the end...

The first time I heard Dis-ease, before I even knew Hobi wrote most of it, I just knew it was a Hoseok song from the disk-scratches and very retro old-school hiphop vibe. And so I expected it to flow a certain way, and it did. Until it got to the bridge. Dis-ease could have been a very different song and you really see this if you listen to the version with JK’s bridge which keeps a somewhat faster tempo and lower notes.

Jimin’s bridge, quite literally, elevates the whole song - it starts in a completely different octave. If you’re actually singing this song, like singing out loud, when you get to the bridge you’re forced to belt out “SICK AND TIRREEEDDDD” and “THROUGH THE FIREEEEE”, up high, real loud, with heart and feeling. The melody Jimin composed in 5 minutes is simultaneously soulful and energetic.

This is the same with other melodies he has composed such as Friends and Blood, Sweat and Tears, and others.

Jimin writes some pretty dope melodies that make me want to sing out loud.

He seems to write plain but beautiful and honest lyrics

Jimin has said writing lyrics doesn’t come easy for him and I think this is because he writes the way he speaks.

Even Namjoon who we all know writes incredibly beautiful lyrics has said this too, but I think Jimin might want or aim to write more artistically like Namjoon, but (I think) he writes lyrics the way he speaks, which is plainly and directly but carefully and very honestly. He sparingly uses metaphors unlike Tae and RM who can wonder about snow and flowers individually or uses colors like Blue and Grey to convey struggling with burn out or how the world pauses at 0 O’clock.

When people write songs the hope is to convey certain ideas or emotions. If those things are very personal, heavy or dark, songwriters often use metaphors or analogies in their lyrics to communicate them. This way, the songwriter’s personal feelings are somewhat obscured and protected by artistic interpretations. If you write literally however, there’s nowhere to hide. Everyone knows exactly what you’re thinking and I think this is why Jimin struggles with lyrics.

Jimin writes very literally and this personally appeals to me a lot. Take for instance, how Jimin wrote Lie:

“순결했던 날 찾아줘 Please find me who was innocent

이 거짓 ���에 헤어날 수 없어 I can’t free myself from these lies

내 웃음을 돌려놔줘 Please bring back my smile

Caught in a lie

이 지옥에서 날 꺼내줘 Please take me out of this hell

There’s nothing metaphorical about this. He’s literally going through hell and he tells you that very plainly as much. The only way to maintain some ambiguity in the whole song is to never mention what the Lie actually is. And so he never does.

Jimin seems to write more songs than we think. For example, when talking about how Friends came to be, he mentioned he was working on 3 songs which he casually showed to Bang PD just for kicks while they were touring three years ago. Two of those songs were mostly finished and the most incomplete song was the third one which PD liked most and worked with Jimin to complete, and that song became Friends - track 15 on the Map of The Soul 7 album.

For their BE album Jimin mentioned how he wrote three new songs for the title track but they weren’t selected. So, Jimin has likely just got these songs sitting somewhere, much like how Yoongi was sitting on Telepathy for years before releasing it with BE.

Whether we’ll ever hear these songs is another story, but if he ever does release them I’m sure I’ll be singing my heart out alongside him.

Maybe it just seems that way, and I honestly apologize if I misunderstood your posts/answers, but I wonder why you always bring up Suga negatively (i.e. "glad the tour is finally over", "we don't talk about yoonmin", whatever you meant about the "weird rm-yoongi" thing).

I am pretty sure I have never said I'm glad Suga's tour is finally over. My anons are my anons and Shaz is Shaz. We are 2 different entitities. Mkay? But I'm I glad the notifications are finally going to stop? Yes. Yes I am.

U want me to stop saying this then tell him to behave when it comes to Jimin. 👀 But just like with V, as long as Jikook don't have an issue with Suga, then neither do I. And JK seems to still like him just fine. Also, this really isn't a negative thing. It's meant to be funny and I myself find it quite hilarious the whole Yoonkook thing when it comes to Jimin. Thus why I say we don't talk about Yoonmin coz JK doesn't like Yoonmin moments. 🤫 I need more people with a sense of humor to start following me 😩

4th i didn't shade Suga. I just said according to some people there has always seemed to be tension between Suga and RM. Sometimes. As per their own admission they used to be very competitive. They're both writers and both producers so it makes sense that they would clash often over creative differences.

We had members recounting about how Hopekook folded all these clothes neatly and came back to RM and Suga throwing them at eo back in the day. In the soop we had Minimoni once again recounting another Suga, RM fight. And again as per their own admission said they used to fight alot back then.

About the current situation, From what I'm hearing out there in the streets is that chapter 2 has RM behaving some type of way. What with him posting everything he's credited for. Something he never used to do before. Suga produced take 2, he's in the credits. I'm not sure coz I haven't checked but idk if RM is in the credits but now we know he wrote the song coz he told us. I've also heard about something he said during the festa last year when Suga said idols come to him for advice and RM was like "why don't they come to me?"

Now listen, I'm not invested enough in their dynamic to care or keep tabs so idk anything really. All I know is there are people who didn't expect him to show up at the concert and he didn't....

There could be many reasons as to why he didn't show but people will always have discussions on certain topics even though we have limited content to go by.

Last but not least its not that I only bring up Suga negatively. Its the fact that I'm a Jikook blog. Which means I will only talk about other members in relation to Jikook. And when it comes to Suga, its never going to be in a positive light because mans does need to get his shit together when it comes to Jimin, is all.

But other than that I have no issue whatsoever with Suga. Yoonminkook is my favourite trio. Fr fr. Jinjikook and Hopekookmin fight for that spot alot depending on the day, but Yoonminkook will forever have my heart.

I like Suga, alot, actually. And the insinuation that I don't hurts me, anon. It hurts me right here.

i don't usually ramble on here except for when it's about fics but w the recent bangtan news, i guess i'm just looking for a space to vent to so here it goes.

idk how much of the english subs were accurate and how much of them were lost in translation, but when namjoon talked about how the kpop and idol system don't really provide much room to mature, the wording and the thought itself (and the fact that the camera panned to jungkook - the maknae who started this rollercoaster when he was just in his early teens - at this part) really hit me hard.

whenever i watch their behind episodes, i always had this lingering concern that their schedules are way too packed. but seeing as i'm a baby army and i'm still new to the world of kpop, i just brushed it off as normal in their line of work. but hearing them talk about not being able to do some of the things they really wanted to do, about how they sometimes have to sacrifice their me for the sake of we, about how they literally don't have the opportunity to just sit down and be — it all makes me realize that though they're global superstars, though they're seemingly larger than life itself, at the end of the day, they're all just twenty-somethings who want to enjoy the experiences they're missing out on while still at the prime of their ages.

and that's not a bad thing.

hearing the news first on twitter, and then seeing just shortened clips of minimoni crying and captioned screenshots of yoongi saying, "we're on a hiatus," really had my heart hammering in my chest. i was so scared and i felt cold all over. but once i psyched myself up to watch the whole dinner, i eventually calmed down because i told myself hey, this all makes sense. all 7 of them took the time to sit down and carefully explain why they're doing things the way they are, and despite the bittersweet undertones, the hour-long video had a happy and content vibe to it. honestly, i couldn't ask for more.

ngl, i've only just been in this bangtan shit for a short while (not even a whole year has passed yet, i think), and it makes me curse my timing at how i've only just experienced my first real comeback, and that cb is gonna be the last one for a while now. but this isn't about me. it's about them. and i'm so so so happy that they're thinking about themselves.

but then, what about us? what's gonna happen to us now? someone pointed out that this will be the time for us fans to grow as well. in as much as bangtan has been working nonstop for the past 9 years, armys (whether you've been here since pre-debut or have only just joined the fandom) have been pouring their hearts out nonstop as well. and in as much as bangtan needs a well-deserved break, armys need some much needed "me" time too. ofc, we'll still continue supporting bts in their respective individual projects, but this will be an opportunity for us to plant, sow, and reap the seeds of our individual growths as well.

i know it's not the same for all of us but for me, i'm at the point in my life where i really need to focus on myself and my family for real. i'm not saying that i can't do that without a hiatus, but it's more of me wanting to focus on that because of the hiatus. bangtan focusing on their individual goals, passions, and priorities inspires me to do the same for myself too. and just with the way my life is panned out right now, this couldn't have come at a more coincidental timing.

to my fellow armys, this news is a big deal so please process this however you want and need! don't be afraid to cry or to feel sad! just remember, bts is thinking about you and you have a planet full of purple friends beside you. APO BANGPO! 💜

Since when and why are you an army and like vmin? :)

ive liked bts since 2016 when a youtuber I followed reacted to fire. ive been lowkey following their music since 2017 bcuz a very close friend of mine became an army after dna went viral and used to share a lot of bts mvs and songs with me. i started watching bts edits and clips in 2019 when a twt moot became a minjoon biased army and i had bts content all over my tl, and ive kept up with them ever since lol. but i couldn't Properly get into them until the lockdown in 2020 when I finally sat down and listened to all their songs and watched their performances. i think the BST mv + stage performances rlly solidified my love for them.

I watched a lot of bts compilation vids as well and rlly imo I think once you start watching bts content, there's just No turning back from there. they're so sincerely charming as ppl on top of having a Very solid discography theres no way out loool. in this bangtan sonyeondan shit for life, as a truly wise person once said. and ik in general most yt vids suck and include a lot of stereotypes for members and i don't recommend them as your intro to bts at All but there's So Many Cute ones as well. bts interview compilations, bts taking care of eo compilations, bts being funny compilations, etc. still i switched over to the original content quick enough lol, and there's So Much of it idt I'll ever be caught up entirely.

id say id joined and started interacting with the fandom by may 2020. bcuz i remember theorizing about the countdown to D-2 and screaming about spotting jinkook in the daechwita mv on the tl loool.

my bias has been jimin from the very beginning. ive been crying about how beautiful and wonderful he is since 2019 and im genuinely in love with him in a very best friend way (tae gets it). i think the first bts song i had on loop for a Month straight was filter lol. i saw this one edit by stussyjimin on twt that I was Obsessed with and ive been jimin biased ever since.

joon was my bias wrecker for a while bcuz he is genuinely so charming?? and Smart??? and his lyricism?? is out of this world?? and those yt compilations of him being patient with all the members rly made me love him sm

after i started watching videos of All members during the lockdown tho, i realized i was So Endeared by tae as well. he made me so Fond of him. he's always so sincerely Him. funny and strange and attentive and sweet and Observant. and then i watched a sweet night × tangled edit on twt and his voice??? was so Soothing?? i fell in love with him in a very best friend way too(jimin gets it). he's been my bias wrecker ever since ;-;-;-

when it comes to shipping, i started off as a moonfairy bcuz of the twt moot i mentioned lol. there was a Lot of soft minimoni content at the time, the kitchen run ep, the vlive, promise making behind the scenes and i found them So cute. i think id sat and watched All tae and jimin ship compilation vids at the time tbh. esp taejoon and minjoon. at heart, for some time, i was also a simple vminjoonist.

however as u know eventually yt starts reccing the analysis vids. and Those put me off both jkk and tkk so thoroughly ive never been able to get into the two ships again ;-;-;- it was very frustrating to want to watch minimoni compilations and have yt only recommend slowed down zoom ins on Proof That jkk/tkk Real. the comment section for these videos were also especially awful im ngl. the whole experience made me so sour i quit watching ship compilations on yt entirely. ;-;-;-;

i got into vmin specifically after i first Properly heard the soulmate anthem with lyrics and went ?!?!?!? this + the June 2020 Avalanche of vmin content turned me into a vminie. vmin content doesn't rlly filter into the ot7 spaces as much, so you've to Rlly go looking for it. i think after the unit interview 4 o'clock revelation i got curious about vmin and went ahead and found the small corner of vminies in the fandom bcuz even in June 2020 there Weren't very many of us here lol.

the old vminies kept talking about how vmin had changed over the years, so I went back to watch the old bangtan bombs to pay attention to vmin in particular. and like, once you See it, you can't Unsee it. ive talked about this before, but vmin have gone from The most rowdy best friends who roughouse for fun to The most gentle and tender soulmates and the transition is so ?!?!?!?!?

i think This particular video rlly converted me to vminism and idk why it's not talked about as much

firstly, how does one even reconcile 2014 vmin with This vmin lol. secondly, what even is going on in this video. "when you were dancing i was watching you." "you were?" "ive been watching the whole time." "don't look at me!!" spoken in the softest voices. i couldn't get this out of my head for Days!!! tae is so awed!!! jimin is so shy!!! they're so tender!! why!!!

consuming seven years worth of vmin content where they're just loving eo, comforting eo, writing songs for eo and just declaring over and over that they're The most special to eo even tho they used to fight the Most rlly got me further in. i watched run eps and bon voyages and bts episodes and bangtan bombs. i stalked the vmin archive. @btsandvmin's blog also helps, it's quite well organized. and they have a very Balanced approach towards shipping.

ooh this is going to be hard to pick! i'll divide it up by member

jin: any time they bicker really lol and the fact that they can play video games together until all hours, when jimin will wrap his arms entirely around jin and hug him, that vlive with jungkook where jimin kept turning the camera on himself and jin kept scolding him and jimin kept giggling and winking at the camera, and the vlive where jimin is in his little orange sweatshirt and says he hates mango, and jin asks, "is it because you look like a mango?" also when jimin wrapped himself up in a bow and gave himself/his love to jin as a birthday present. the recreating the titanic scenes together whenever they kept tickling each other those times on the boats.

yoongi: oh god these two....that hangul day run ep. where yoongi just kept digging at him over and over and eventually helped him in the end, the fact that yoongi is always teasing him and yet is the one to maybe praise him the most. the run episode in the lotte mall where they hold hands and yoongi threatens him if he runs away/lets go. that time when jungkook and yoongi had water guns and yoongi kept aiming it only at jimin. the "off work early, time to go bug jimin" post. playing video games all night together. when yoongi saw his parents in the crowd and did the deep bow, crying, and jimin knelt down and rubbed his back until he was ready to get up. literally any time they bicker and yoongi makes him flustered. that moment in the car when jimin is feeling poorly about his voice and yoongi reassures him and makes him laugh.

You still remember the first kiss you shared with him. That one night, when you met on the playground in your neighborhood, sitting beside eachother on the swings as Jimin told you about his big dream for the first time. He wants to succeed with his band. He dreams of a future as a well-known guitarist. And back then you had told him that you did not think of it as a silly wish. You believed in him back then when your teenage self agreed to stay by his side, and you still do to this day. This was also the moment in which he knew – he was madly in love with you.

Looking back on your last years of dating Jimin, you could not deny what a cliche rebel couple you were. Instead of asking you to prom, your boyfriend skipped the whole event with you and his bandmates to break into the football field of your school that night. But you did not regret it one bit. The memory of your friends chasing eachother on the field and lying in the grass to look up at the starry night sky was as vivid and precious to you as no other. That same night you saw the first shooting star of your life while holding Jimin’s hand and begging him to tell you what he had wished for. Yet, he never told you, to this day. Instead, he said “Let’s stay like this forever” and gave your hand a meaningful squeeze with the reflection of the stars above shining in his eyes. 

His words from this night turned into a promise you both made and kept.

You were there for each one of his band’s gigs in small bars and scene clubs. You were there for many of their band practices, too. And now you are there to witness their first big breakthrough as the opening act to an increasingly popular indie band.

Holding Taehyung’s bass guitar, you watch his attempt to fix his hair. He must have applied half a can of hairspray by now and you doubt that even a single strand would budge during the show. However, Taehyung wants to be safe. “This is our big deal! The most important performance we have ever had yet!” He wants to give it his all, just like the other members. 

You turn and look at Yoongi, who is sitting on the couch in the corner of the small dressing room while tapping his drumsticks onto his thighs in concentration. Having known him for as long as the other boys, you quickly realized that he is wearing his “lucky charm” – his signature worn out leather jacket. He wore it to their very first gig, wore it daily during finals week and he also wore it that fateful night you all skipped prom together. The memories place a nostalgic smile on your lips.

Meanwhile, Jeongguk keeps pacing around the room while mumbling the lyrics to their latest song. He may be the youngest of them all, but he is a real multi-talent. It's almost like magic, the way he is so damn good at everything if he just wants to succeed at it. Eyeing his guitar on its stand next to Jimin’s, you can't help but wonder where your boyfriend, the main guitarist of this band, has gone to. He had left the room about 20 minutes ago, saying he was going to the toilet real quick, but he has not returned since. “Thank you,” Taehyung smiles as he takes his bass from you. “Is Jimin still gone?” He then asks. Nodding, you already make your way to the door. “Yes, but I’ll go check up on him.

Striding through the cramped halls backstage, you make your way to the men’s toilets. And just when you raise your hand to knock on the door, it opens to reveal the man you have been looking for. 

“(Y/N)?” He was clearly startled. You sigh in relief. “It’s been over twenty minutes, just what in the world were you doing in there?” you ask, sensing that something was wrong. Seeing the deep red tint on his bottom lip, you can already guess what he was doing. Biting his lip when he got nervous was one of his habits. And judging by how red it was, he must have been gnawing on it like crazy. Since he does not respond, very aware of how easily you could read him and his body language, you decide to ask straight away. “How bad is it?”

You almost see the heavy weight on his shoulders as he says “Very bad… Baby, I can’t mess this up. Not this time. It would ruin everything we’ve worked so hard for.” A compassionate smile finds its way to your lips. “You’re always worrying so much. Jimin, you’ll do great. I am one-hundred percent sure of that, alright?” Noticing the doubtful glimmer in his eyes, you continue “You’ve worked so hard for this very moment. Don’t dread it, enjoy it. When you guys go up on that stage, I want you to relish that moment. Because this is going to be the first time of many more to come.”

His lips slowly curve upwards as he nods slowly, “Alright.” You smile and pull him into a hug, feeling the fast rhythm of his heartbeat as he too holds you close. “No matter what’s going to happen, I am and will always be your biggest fan” you say. Chuckling, he moves a hand to gently cup your cheek and look at your face. “I know. Thank you for being here, (Y/N).” A second passes in which you smile at eachother, before he leans in to kiss you. 

“Ugh, are you serious? We’ve only got ten minutes to go through the setlist before we go on stage, so move your ass back into the dressing room before it’s too late!” 

The two of you immediately part at the sound of Yoongi’s aggravated voice behind you. You know that he did not mean to be rude, yet the sharp sound to his words really shocked you for a second. Seems like Jimin was not the only one who was nervous to the bone. You see Jimin sending you an apologetic smile before rushing after his hyung. Shaking your head, you make your way to the stage already, not planning to interfere in this special moment your boyfriend and friends would share right before the show now. You could still wish each one of them good luck when they go up there, after all.

From your spot next to the stage you had a perfect view not just on the boys, but on the audience as well. And you could not feel any prouder of your friends. They had introduced themselves a little awkwardly, but as soon as the chorus to their first song started the audience was going completely crazy. They loved it. And you could tell how much joy the boys felt in that moment. 

As the songs got heavier, the movements of the crowd did the same. They even formed a small moshpit at some point and tried to shout along to repetitive phrases of the last song’s chorus.

It was clear that Jeongguk did not lie when he told the audience how much he loved them for being so welcoming and wild. And so did the rest of the boys, bright smiles painted on their sweat covered faces. 

You almost could not believe your eyes as you watched them on stage. They looked like absolute rockstars already, the sweet boys you have known for such a long time suddenly looking so grown up. Finally, your eyes lock on your boyfriend, cooly jumping onto a platform at the front of the stage to play his solo. As he throws his head back while playing the longest note of his solo, you can see the sweat running down his neck and strands of his once well-styled hair sticking to his skin. In this moment, he looks like the very definition of ‘sinful’, reviving memories of the last time you had seen him like this － in a wholly different context. But these thoughts have to wait. 

When they finally play the last tunes of their performance, the crowd cheers loudly – the sound of hundreds of people cheering for your friends and filling your heart with immense joy and pride. You too are cheering as they come down the stairs, sweat dripping from their brightly smiling faces. “That was incredible!” Taehyung exclaims with a voice of true ecstasy. Jeongguk nods, patting his friend’s shoulder as the two of them give you a high-five while passing you to get back to the dressing room. You greet Yoongi with a big grin and loud “You did amazing!”, happy to see him beaming one of his rarest gummy smiles back at you as he slings one arm around you in a rushed hug while thanking you before he follows the others. 

The main act is already approaching to go on stage as you almost tackle Jimin the second he gets off of the stairs. “You were unbelievable! I told you you’d do well!” you cheer as he laughs wholeheartedly at your enthusiasm. “I feel like I’m in heaven, did I die on stage?” he asks as he hugs you tight, his entire body still trembling due to the rush of adrenaline. 

You laugh and kiss his cheek, then his nose, honestly just aiming at random spots on his face as you do so. “I’m so proud of you, Jimin” you say as he’s grinning widely. 

After a few minutes of basically shouting praises and cheers at one another and then making fun of Jeongguk for suddenly crying tears of happiness, the boys watched the concert from beside the stage with you. They even were asked back onto the stage for a few songs during the encore, which the audience clearly enjoyed just as much as the performance prior to that. On your way to the hotel you guys would stay at for the night, you checked the boys’ band profiles online and could not have been any prouder when you saw the follower counts continuously rising on each one of them. 

The other band had invited your friends to an after party at the hotel’s bar and after an hour or so you decided to let them have this moment to themselves. Especially since you were already getting tired anyway. So you went to Jimin’s and your room instead. Honestly, you could not believe it yourself either. The four men you have been supporting for more than five years, basically since the day they decided to practice and start a band together, finally are so close to their goal. 

You take a quick shower and wrap yourself in the hotel’s bathrobe before drying your hair and starting your basic skincare ritual in front of the mirror above the sink. As usual, you get lost in your thoughts while massaging the cleanser into your skin and rinsing it off, thinking about how much has changed within the past couple of years. You first met Jimin in high school, both of you being friends with your classmate Jeongguk and naturally meeting eachother at his parties or during lunch breaks. That was how you made friends with Taehyung and Yoongi, too. Even though you did not share any classes with even one of them, you became friendly with them very quickly. 

This friendship held for many years. You graduated, went to college, shared many memories together – and here you are today.

You are about to ask if something had happened. But then Jimin already stands in front of you with a grin and kisses the top of your head, one of his hands dropping to your exposed thigh. You grumble. “Yeah, I’m still curious.” Chuckling once again, Jimin says “Back then… I didn’t wish for our band to succeed. I didn’t wish for a chance as a musician. I didn’t wish for anything that I’d usually wish for.” Listening, you move your head to face Jimin. “All I asked for was for you to stay with me. All the way.”

Feeling the beating of your heart increasing in pace and your eyes starting to water, you were left speechless. “But then… We made that promise. I kept my wish from you, thinking it wouldn’t become true if I told you. That’s so ridiculous, isn’t it?” he says, smiling in shame when he realizes how superstitious this was. You shake your head, giggling quietly. “It is ridiculous, because you definitely wasted a chance for a wish there.” you say, looking him dead in the eye as he mocks offense. “I promised to stay with you forever. And I’m not one to break promises, ever.” Extending your pinky finger, you hold it up to your heads.

“Alright, same for me” Jimin smiles, now an amused curve to his lips rather than the bashful smile from before, and links his pinky with yours before refreshing the seal of your old promise with a kiss to your lips. 

"You know... This is the cheesiest thing you have ever said after sex." you suddenly deadpan, grinning at your embarrassed boyfriend's blushing cheeks as you both break out into quiet giggles a second later.

        Seoul was always busy. Even after 7:30 PM on a weeknight. The traffic in the downtown part of the city moved as if it were one, fluid unit. Everyone was always in a hurry; always rushing to get somewhere important. As with any metropolitan city, there was little space in Seoul to stop and take a breath. To attempt to recover from the grinding pace of daily life- especially Idol life. 

        The company car moved in harmony with the evening traffic, steadily passing people on sidewalks and businesses turning on their lights for the night. Namjoon released a sigh as he looked out the deeply tinted windows. A slight, reassuring squeeze came from the petite hand that was linked with his larger one. He returned the squeeze as he shifted to look down at his boyfriend seated beside him, soft, dark eyes looking deep into his own. “The workday is over, naekko, you don’t have to keep thinking so hard. Just relax for me, okay, Joonie-hyung?” Jimin smiled encouragingly, gently leaning his small shoulder into Namjoon’s upper arm. Namjoon’s ears redden slightly at the overly cute nickname and moves their clasped hands to Jimin’s knee, sighing again, “You’re right, jagiya. And I will. You know it just takes me a little while to unravel from the day.” The smaller man nods, content with the answer he received, and rests his head against his boyfriend’s strong shoulder. Both men sit and breathe in the familiar closeness of an evening drive through the city. The sky outside continues to darken as the private car drives on toward Ttukseom Park and leaves the company building further and further in the distance. 

        “Kamsahamnida. Can you come back to pick us up at 9:00 pm, please?” Namjoon waves to the company driver. When he turns, Jimin is standing under the glow of a streetlamp, holding their kimbap take-away, a sweet smile on his angelic face. The smile grows as Namjoon closes the distance between them, leaning down to press a gentle kiss to Jimin’s forehead. “Let’s walk down and find a place by the river to sit and eat our dinner,” Namjoon suggests, taking the bag of food in one hand, Jimin’s tiny hand in the other, and leading the way down the walking path toward Cheongdam Daegyo Bridge. The pair finds a slightly secluded picnic table with a view of the bridge and the city skyline across the river, perfect for a late evening dinner. Being the more domestic of the couple, Jimin busies himself with wiping the table, passing out napkins, and giving each of them a squirt of hand sanitizer. He then opens the expertly-made kimbap, all of which the two usually share. 

        Neither can recall how it started, but it’s weekly tradition that Thursday nights are date night for take-away from their favorite kimbap place. The shop was owned by an elderly couple that had grown very fond of all seven of the boys. “Halmeoni said she missed us the last two weeks, aegiya. She insisted on giving us an extra cheese kimbap. She said she and harabeoji watched us on TV,” Jimin paused to smile up at his boyfriend as he divided the gifted kimbap between them. Across the table, Namjoon returns the smile, dimples appearing on his cheeks, “So generous. Bangtan might not have survived if halmeoni hadn’t given us so much free ramyeon.” He pops another piece of his cheese kimbap into his mouth, looking over the river, distant memories seeming to float by with the current. Jimin waits another moment and then clears his throat timidly, “Halmeoni also asked how you were doing,” he pauses, giving his boyfriend an intentional look, “she wanted to remind you to sleep well and take care of yourself.” The tips of Namjoon’s ears were tinged slightly pink and he shifts on his side of the table, “well, halmeoni is wise. I guess I need to catch up on my sleep in case she checks in on me next week,” he teases, chuckling lightly, avoiding his boyfriend’s eyes. 

        Namjoon stands from the table, collecting the trash and placing in a nearby bin. Jimin joins him and the two head toward the nature trail, hand in hand, walking at a leisurely pace. The pair strolls in comfortable silence for a while, admiring the river and the local flora in the waning evening light. A little ways ahead, they follow a slight fork in the path, arriving at one of Namjoon’s favorite places in the city- a stone bench, slightly secluded by bunches of rivergrass and cattails, and setback right from the riverbank. The couple takes a seat, Namjoon wrapping his strong arm around Jimin’s slim shoulders, the two fitting like a custom-made set. They take in the distant, twinkling lights of the skyline across the river and exchange a few quiet words of conversation before Jimin straightens a little and clears his throat. “You know, jagi, halmeoni isn’t the only one who wants you to take care of yourself. She isn’t the only one who worries,” he begins, voice small, eyes focused on the city skyline across the river. He breathes in deep and continues, “I worry about you, aein. I want you to take care of yourself,” at this, Jimin pulls himself from under his boyfriend’s arm and turns toward the taller man, eyes wide and beseeching,“I know you’re busy, Joonie-hyung. I know our schedule is packed, but you have to rest too, jagiya. Let me be there for you- please.” He suddenly places his tiny hands on Namjoon’s knee, words tumbling out like autumn leaves over a waterfall. Namjoon’s eyebrows are knitted together in concern, but his eyes are soft and filled with adoration. “You don’t have to work yourself to the bone for everything to be done and done well, Joonie-hyung. I care about you so much, aegiya. I love you with my whole heart,” Jimin’s pretty face is flushed slightly pink, his dark eyes wide and shining in the subtle glow from nearby streetlamps. He took a deep breath and waited for Namjoon’s response. 

        Seoul was always busy. Even nearing 8:45 pm on a Thursday night. But here, on this slightly secluded stone bench in Ttukseom Hangang Park, time seemed frozen. The genuine affection shared between the couple seated on this bench was almost palpable. Love surrounded them like a hazy, pink cloud of perfume that invaded their senses, creating lasting, core memories. Namjoon finally blinks, coming back down to earth and allowing his eyes to refocus. Without a word, he reaches out and wraps Jimin in a hug, pulling him close. They stay wrapped in each other's arms for a moment, reveling in the closeness, the tenderness; breathing in each other’s scent. Namjoon pulls back first, keeping one arm around Jimin’s and letting the other fall to rest his slim knee. He peers deeply into Jimin’s dark eyes, pressing a light kiss to one soft cheek and then the other, before saying, “I love you too, jagiya. And I know you love me. I can see your love in how you smile when our eyes meet from across the stage or you find me in a crowded room. And I can feel your love in the way you hug me like all your worries have melted away.” He smiles reassuringly, running long fingers through Jimin’s silky, black hair, “I know I need to take a step back, aein. Maybe a few steps. Starting tomorrow, I will. You’re right, jagi, I know everything will get done, especially since I have the six of you to support me. I don’t have to work myself to death.” Namjoon chuckles at his dark joke, but his face falls when he feels Jimin shudder under his arm at his final word. “Oh jagiya-” Namjoon begins, hand moving down to rub soothingly along his boyfriend’s narrow back. Jimin interrupts, placing both small hands comfortingly on Namjoon’s chest over his heart, “that’s exactly what I’m trying to avoid, aegiya,” his voice tinged with a hint of heartache floating just under the surface. He continues, eyes glistening, voice hushed, “I couldn’t b-bear to lose you, nae sarang.” His voice wavers as he leans forward, curling into the broad chest before him, Namjoon’s strong arms wrapping securely around him again. 

        The river below seemed to sparkle from the enchanting mixture of streetlamps, city lights, and car headlights from the bridge. The moon and stars added their ethereal glow which painted a heavenly highlight across Jimin’s cheeks. This subtle radiance made Namjoon’s breath catch in his chest as Jimin lifted his head to look up at his boyfriend. Namjoon smiles reassuringly and runs his thumb over his boyfriend’s cheek, “Orin wangjanim, I promise I’m not going anywhere. You know that.” Orin wangjanim- my little prince. Jimin’s eyes light up at his favorite term of endearment, used by Namjoon only on the most special occasions. Golden memories rapidly flood his mind with the moments he’s heard that nickname; before their first kiss, when they first said “I love you”, when Namjoon proposed. Jimin lifts his tiny hand, gazing at the simple, gold engagement ring there as he speaks, “You’re right, aegiya. We’re in this until the end. Please let me help you bear your burdens. Like we say, teamwork makes the dream work,” he finishes with an awkward ‘finger-gun’ and clicks his tongue. Both men burst out in laughter, basking in the lightness of the mood. As their laughter fades and the moment turns tender again, the moon and stars reflecting in their love-struck eyes. Jimin reaches up and cradles Namjoon’s face as their lips meet in a kiss, moving in a familiar, comfortable dance. For just a moment, the stars from the sky above seem to come down to suspend around them. 

*Ding* The 9:00 pm alarm on Namjoon’s phone chimes, rousing the couple reluctantly from their kisses. The shorter of the two stands abruptly, putting on a mock-serious face and planting his tiny fists on his hips. “Come now, Namjoon-ssi. We must not delay our departure any longer,” he commands in a silly, deep voice (what he calls his ‘grown-up voice’). His boyfriend’s eyes crinkle in amusement as he stands, swinging his long arms toward the path, and arranging his face in a similar way. “Quite right, you are. Let us away, then,” he says in English, attempting a British accent. Always easily amused, Jimin can’t hold a straight face any longer and bursts into a fit of laughter, doubling over and crumpling to the ground. Also laughing (but not quite as hysterically), Namjoon crouches in front of his boyfriend until he recovers, “you good, jagiya? Come on, let’s head to the exit and find the car.” Jimin nods and smiles, brushes dust off of his jeans, and links his fingers with Namjoon’s. 

        As the couple nears Ttukseom Park’s exit, Namjoon’s phone vibrates with a call from Yoongi. “Yeoboseyo hyung. Ah yeah. Okay we will. Thanks, later,” he ends the call, pocketing his phone and looking at his boyfriend, “That was Yoongi-hyung, reminding us we should post on Bangtan’s Twitter to thank ARMY for keeping Butter at number one on the Billboard charts for a fourth week. Maybe we could take a selca when we get in the car?” he suggests, shrugging his wide shoulders. Jimin skips along in excitement, smiling wide, “oh what a good idea, naekkeo!” Once the car is headed toward Namjoon’s apartment, Jimin eagerly pulls out his phone, “ready, jagiya? Big, cute, smile!” They lean their heads together and smile contentedly. *click* The shutter sound indicates the picture is ready. Jimin reviews the photo and quickly posts it to the group’s Twitter, miniature thumbs flying over his phone’s keyboard. “ARMY will love this, don’t you think? We look so-” as he turns, soft, full lips meet his own, kissing him deeply. Jimin melts into the kiss, sighing. “Yeah, I think a MiniMoni selca will be pretty popular,” Namjoon smirks, eyes twinkling, as he pulls the smaller man close by his side. He kisses the top of his head, then turns to look out the window at the passing city. Jimin knows his cheeks are pink as he switches off his phone and settles back into the warm chest behind him. 

        Seoul was always busy. Even after 9:14 PM on a Thursday night. The traffic moved in a single fluid unit, like the water in the Han River, that passed continuously by the secluded stone bench. Everyone was always in a hurry; but there were some ways to slow down. Some pockets of solace even in a bustling metropolis. Evening picnics of kimbap take-away, walking hand-in-hand through Ttukseom Hangang Park, meaningful moments on a riverbank bench illuminated by the moonlight, selcas in the backseat of a company car, and affectionate kisses all caused time to slow down and even stop. The warm, intimate feeling of love surrounded the couple in the backseat, hanging in the air like a nebulous cloud of the sweetest perfume. The promise of a shared future and acknowledgment of mutual support making it all the more precious. As the private car continued down the city streets, the couple continued forward into a future full of endless possibilities as vast as the stars in the night sky.

Quarantine, Day 133

July 22

Today was a day in which several things happened, but I have to say that the most exciting was probably getting my new can openers in the mail. Last week when we were out catching cats in proper socially distanced fashion, one of my TNR friends opened a can of tuna with a teeny tiny little manual can opener called a P-38. I think I may have talked about this at the time, but I can't remember and Tumblr's search function is extremely terrible so I can't look it up. Sometimes I think about putting something into the quarantine journal and then forget to actually do it, so my memories of what I've written is not always precise. Sorry if you're hearing this twice. 

Anyway, I coveted this can opener in my heart and ordered a whole bunch of them off Amazon. They arrived when I wasn't home and ended up riding around in my husband's truck for a few days, but I finally got them today and immediately used one to open a can of spaghetti sauce. It was magnificent. I have already put two in my car and given two to my husband and flagged a handful for our emergency supplies. A can opener that can fit in a wallet, costs less than a dollar and doesn't rely on electricity is a game changer, my friends.

In other acquisitions news, I went out today and collected the items I won in the online auction and brought them home. Most of them were just as pictured, though it turns out that what I thought was an itty Walmart half-size bookshelf was quite a bit bigger and it was lucky I had the seats folded down in the minivan already. We're going to have to move some stuff around in the kiddo's room to make it fit, but the good news is, twelve dollars was an even better deal than I'd realized! I did run into one problem when it turned out that the sixty-one red and green plastic food baskets (think fast food combo basket) turned out to be thirty red baskets and no greens. Apparently the person who bought the other basket lot had accidentally been given all the green baskets including my stack, so that was not great. They have promised that they can fix this and get me my baskets tomorrow, so that would be okay. I need to take them to Illinois for my sister's Minimony luncheon and we need all of them! The auction company operates out of Norfolk and the auction was in Newport News; when I told them where I lived they kind of groaned a little but promised they'd deliver anyway. It's really only fair, since the mistake was definitely on their end, but I will probably meet them somewhere halfway if they ask. 

Little Fluff kitten from last night is still hanging in there; he got warm fluids, B12 and a thorough flea combing today that helped him perk up some. He's in a playpen now instead of the transfer cage and has started exploring and being interested in things, which is a great sign. A really sick kitten does not tend to move around much. In the "kittens moving around much" department, Bixby and Barry are making up for an abbreviated playtime last night by hurling themselves around the room at top speed, playing with any toy that holds still long enough. They are getting very big, and Bixby is now wildly jealous if I take Barry out and cuddle him. He almost threw himself out the top-level door tonight in his pique. Since he could not do that, he just gave me Sad Betrayed Kitten Eyes while hanging on the side of the cage like a suction-cup Garfield on a car window. It was so tragic. 

Food this week has been pretty much the usual fare, lots of pasta mostly. My husband made an interesting concoction the other day involving rotini, italian sausage, bacon, spaghetti sauce, hot sauce, white wine and cream cheese that was quite a bit better than the ingredient list would suggest. Other than that, we've mostly been working through the perishables before we leave again on Saturday. I hate to do another Walmart pickup before we go, but I'd really rather not have to stop too many places on our trip, and fifteen hours of driving requires many, many snacks. Maybe just a little one to pick up Friday night. Tomorrow we're going to have to clean out my car, including the massive bookshelf, which is sure to be a joy to carry up the  stairs. Oh bargains, why must you hurt me so?

GCFT - Jungkook’s promise to Jimin

Disclaimer : I honestly love all the ships which includes JIMIN. But Kookmin is something close to my heart (I might say this in future with minimoni and jinmin dont mind me LMAO). 

Come on, we all can agree that Jimin always gives Jungkook his undivided attention. And this is one thing I started to observe while watching BTS shows. Since I’m Jimin biased, this thing became more obvious. I sometimes used to think that Jungkook doesn’t reciprocate the same (but I was wrong. Slowly I started to realize that sometimes, he just don’t know or doesn’t understand how to handle Jimin’s overwhelming affection). Then I came across GCFs. Oh my gosh! That guy really adores Jimin a lot. Even though he don’t usually admit that Jimin is G.C.F’s official model but you gotta appreciate BH editors who always make sure to let us know who is G.C.F’s main model LMAO. I don’t blame Jungkook for filming Jimin though. I mean, we always love capturing beautiful things and Jimin is epitome of beauty. 

Now coming to GCFT, I’m not going to analyze anything here. I know this is Jungkook’s art. He has definitely worked so hard for that. But the lyrics says it all... I personally think he had everything planned prior his trip. He knew what he was filming, why he was filming, how was he filming. Every shots and every bit of video is in sink with the music. If you ask me, I’m 100% sure, he had whole picturization of G.C.F before the trip. 

And most importantly, this was his first G.C.F and he decided to film his solo vacation with JIMIN which was really sweet gesture. Because we all know every firsts are really special and unforgettable. We don’t be (can never be) careless about our firsts.

Final thoughts : This whole G.C.F.T majorly felt like a secret promise( which is not a secret anymore LMAO) from Jungkook to Jimin. For me, this is not Jungkook flaunting his relationship with Jimin to the world but instead more of him telling Jimin no matter what, he’ll always be there for him and won’t let anything affect their relationship (whatsoever it may be). To go indepth, I also felt he secretly acknowledged and thanked Jimin for being there for him at hard times and we know he has told this a lot of times during their early days.

Again these are my thoughts you are free to disagree but you are not free to argue with me over this because these are my thoughts which is never gonna change and I have no intentions in making others believe this.

Okay so hear me out. I've been on the edge of belief when it comes to jikook and there's just one thing that keeps holding me back. And I thought you'd be the best person to come to this with because I love your deep dives and I love that when you're mistaken about something you change it and apologize so I think you're trustworthy.

Okay so my issue with belief in jikook is the worry that we formed a narrative around them that could be formed with other band members to make it seem like something is there.

For example with minimoni. And no I promise with my whole heart I am not a minimoni shipper trying to infiltrate jikook territory lol. But okay so we could mirror some of the jikook talking points with minimoni. There was a shift with how namjoon treated jimin just like there was a shift with how jungkook treated jimin. Jungkook gave jimin alone a present for his birthday, namjoon gave jimin a ring for his birthday and was embarrassed about it.

Namjoon also has a habit of calling jimin cute and saying he'd date him if he was a girl just like jungkook. Namjoon also finds jimin's fingers cute just like jungkook.

Namjoon and jimin have hung out solo late at night before. That bike trip they had. And I'm sure a minimoni shipper could go more in depth but I only know this much because I'm namjoon biased.

And in my opinion none of this proves minimoni or jikook. They rather just cancel each other out. Proving neither of the two.

And I'm just wondering if we can basically form a narrative around any two of the guys and come to the conclusion that they're dating. What makes jikook so special?

The only thing I can think of is the obvious sexual tension jikook have that I don't think is really present in any other pairing.

But idk. Even in the most recent run episode minimoni were attached at the hip. Jikookers could say there was a certain air around jikook that was different with minimoni and I would agree but then I'm wondering if it's because that's what i wanna see ugh.

I know it's not your job to convince me but I just wanted your take on all this.

I'll say first and foremost that I disagree about Namjoon being shy about buying Jimin a ring. He got giggly and embarrassed a little bit over Tae teasing him out of the way he told the group not to worry about buying Jimin something super expensive just because HE did. Lol it wasn't shyness about the gift, but how he talked to the rest of the group and they got in a few digs over it 😂 but damn, what a gift. I have plenty of thoughts and a little confusion over that ring, but that's a totally different topic. It was an insanely sweet gift for sure. In every way. And again, not about comparing, but this was 2017. The same year that Jungkook's gift to Jimin was a solo trip just for them. Jimin obviously had a damn good birthday that year. Lol

Minimoni are best friends. Arguably one of the closest duos in the group. But I wouldn't say they are closer than jikook are. What makes me think jikook are special is well a lot. The way you phrased your ask makes me feel like you've been on my blog for awhile. I'm not sure if you have gone through my masterlist or seen most of it, but I would recommend it. I talk about why I think they are special in my jikook duo dynamics post. I talk about in my posts about how Jimin is obviously Jungkooks emergency contact. It's the sexual tension that you mentioned that is lacking with any other duo, which is a pretty big one I think. It's the exclusivity and consistency in their actions. Every duo has over the top eyebrow raising and sweet moments... jikook seem to be the only pair that have those moments consistently. It's the exclusivity in the way they behave with each other at times. It's the way they consistently are the ones who seek each other out back stage, who spend the most amount of time off camera together, who have gone on the most off work, off camera dates. It's the exclusivity in hanging out with each other's personal friends, in jungkooks gift giving to jimin, in the way they know things about each other that literally no one else in the band knows. The way that you often see jikook just together in the background of videos, just being together. The way the staff said they never see them apart backstage. The way their first response in embarrassing or emotional situations is to look for each other.

Memories 2016 Discs 1 - 2

So I asked awhile ago when I said I was going back to watch every memories DVD they have released so far, if you would be interested in commentary from me as I did so. There were a lot of people who said yes, so here we are! I have officially watched BTS Memories of 2016. Here are my thoughts as I went. There were only 4 DVDs in this one. Reminder that these aren't going to be smoothly written out thoughts. You get these like I'm live reacting, texting my bestie or live tweeting. Lol it'll be in like bullet point format sort of, just... a commentary post as I go. Lol Hope you enjoy anyway! Let's go!

Disc 1:

BTS 2nd Muster DVD:

The 2nd Muster was originally supposed to be held in July of 2015, normal time frames for their musters, but the show got canceled because of the MERS outbreak. So it was rescheduled and finally happened on 160124 instead and kicked off the year 2016 for us! The full title of the Muster was "BTS Second Muster: Zip Code: 22920." There were 2 shows on the same day with the same set list but different games played throughout the show in between songs. The show in this DVD was the 2nd show of the day, the one in the evening.

Opening the show up with Just One Day and Like was so beautiful. Jin with a rose is a concept that should NEVER die. He looks so beautiful. Yoongis rap during Like always takes me OUT, especially when he really gets into it. And omg we don't get to see the choreo for like very often and it's soo good. I miss it! So smooth! Army singing too 🥺 ugh I love it

They had a guest come to be an MC and wow so much energy after their super cute introductions to ARMY. His name was MC Dingdong. Lol JK introduced himself by saying body of an adult, brain of a minor. Lmao and the MC also brought up that JK is now an adult. The new year has passed and it's 2016, Jungkookies coming of age year! The theme of the concert is obviously housewarming party. It's cute and funny!

The MC calling RM up to do a dance saying he is the dancer of BTS and him dragging Jimin up with him, refusing to let go until Jimin is for sure standing up there to dance with him too 😂 my minimoni heart 💜

They also play a game where a member shares concerns they may have and people have to guess which member has that concern. The first concern is from Jin who shares that before he can even get to his own bed, Jungkook always steals his bed and is in it snoring first. Lmao JK says it's because YoonJins room has nice beds and carpet. 😂 Jin then also tells us that JK sleeps wearing common clothes and Suga sleeps in just his boxers with cute bears on them. Cool, THANKS for that information. 🤣 and the way that JK and Sugas complaints were about each other. Lmao JK was concerned about Suga not cleaning up after himself after removing his makeup. Suga was concerned about going broke after spending so much money because JK eats so much food when they go out for lamb skewers together so much together and with Hobi too. The hugging it out after the complaining was my favorite part, so sweet. Plus all the giggles!

The way we were watching the cringiest y/n dating videos they filmed for muster back in June of 2015 for their second anniversary with ARMY and they were all DYING of embarrassment but yet Jimin somehow made it better by dancing across the stage and singing Born Singer after his video. Bless you, Jimin.

Boy in Luv! Tae growling through that whole song will always be my favorite. He owns that song. Plus j-hope flying over everyone to start his rap and jikook harmonizing. Magical 🥰

And now they are playing bts penalty monopoly 🤣 oh goodness. Jimin, hobi and suga getting too invested in writing their names with their butts on stage, all 7 just really going for it 🤣 although idk what was happening with the wows and spankings from jihope at the end there too. Tae singing after inhaling helium and Suga impersonating JK. Namjoons ARMY poem. NamJin dancing to a medley of their songs at different speeds lol. Namjoon singing butterfly, Jin rapping Killer (although Tae 100% jumped in and helped and took over a bit with Kookie playing back up Rapper and hype man. Taekook biggest Cypher enthusiasts!), and everyone singing Miss Right but switching their parts up. Lmfao it was great. Rapline sang and vocal line rapped. And they ended it expressing their gratitude and love for each other and how hard the others parts were. Jimins "ugh, rappers thank you" sigh of relief at the end and Yoongis "wow Jimin I love you" after trying to sing his high notes 🤣 love to see the mutual appreciation for the others skills!

We said goodbye to the MC and went right into Dope and then I Need U (Namjoons voice and Jimins high note kill me and JKs jump), which they killed as always. And then into a skit: one day in ma city. I have absolutely no idea what the point of this skit was other than an apology for the Muster being late. Please don't ask me to explain it past that 😂 after this skit though, they came back to the stage in New outfits. They went from cute and cuddly to dangerous in black for a Baepsae performance. Whoever was in that front row for that one, I hope they survived!! And Hobi breaking it down at the end, ugh he is so cool. Boyz with fun will forever be one of my favorite performances. Sope hyping each other up every song too 😭 link to Jhope being the coolest ever during this song because I can't help it.

Disc 2:

MD & Poster Making Story:

They are all freezing their butts off but omg this is the most cozy and cute concept 🥰 and i adore the Units! The hyung trio, Vmon and Jikook, all paired perfectly! JK heckling Tae with vocals and trying to distract him during his solo shoot was super cute too. And the way he kept copying and teasing Jimin during their unit shoot. I love him

Jimin giggling and calling Namjoon cute as he does his best voice acting for the counting in the VCR skit for muster 🥺

The units all continued to be the same for the indoor shoot. Love it. Jungkook staring at Jimin dancing to butterfly, captions "Jungkook stares at lively Jimin." Lol Jimin telling us about how he used to read all these comics with his father, just to later get a scene of Jikook cuddled up together looking at the comics and Jimin explaining the story to JK so sweetly 🥺

Jin in those glasses and turtle neck is legit the perfect look. He looks AMAZING and is killing it. He wins at life and everything he does I swear. This was the most precious photoshoot. So cute. Jihope randomly doing isolations in perfect sync in the middle of the group shoot is so them. Just main dancers things. Joon is killing his denim jacket, hobi is the worlds cutest human. I don't know anyone who can pull off Overalls like Tae. And my bias line is dressed to perfection and are killing me! Tae grumbling through his teeth while not letting his smile slip at JinKook being too heavy as they lean their entire body weight on him during the group photo. Lmao top notch professionalism! And the cuddle pile at the end just might be my favorite. So cute!

Practice Making Story:

The members posing with their own cardboard cutouts is taking me OUT 😂🤣

Jhope giving an explaination over their script practice for muster to the camera, all serious and all you here in the background is screaming and yelling. Camera cuts to Jinkook wrestling and slapping each other while giggling like mad 😂🤣 omfg. Headlocks and thigh pinching and takedowns, no holding back! I admire the way Hobi can ignore them so completely and not be totally distracted lmao

Started a mess, but they got serious fast! They work so hard. All the stage directions, speech practice and choreo practice. And I love how we always get super cute hopekook cuddles in rehearsals as they watch their work back or listen to directions. 🥺

JK practically pushing Joon into the center to do Hobis Baepsae dance break during practice and then Jin doing it after too! Love the rest hyping them too! And who told Hobi it was okay to dress so good for practice 😭

I know they had more than enough chairs there for everyone, why did 3J do their ending mentions for the camera on top of each other?! 🤣 JK sitting on Jimins lap and Jimin sitting on Hobi's lap. We could barely see J-hope the whole time! But Jimins arms around JK keeping him on his lap carefully the whole time so he doesn't slip is making me soft

The Day Making Story:

The cringing over the dating videos is truly the only acceptable response 🤣🤣🤣 I'm so glad they never did that again 🙈😭🤣

Jin: "we are performing Baepsae for the fans without warning. It is our gift to them." BTS giving the gift of excessive hip thrusts and hard beats to their fans. Don't say they don't give you anything 🤣🤣 love it so much. And I'm positive everyone who was there did too 🙈 omg in the other show not on the DVD Jin did Hobi's dance break though! I'm so glad they included that in this Making Film because he KILLED IT 😂

Tae leaving the stage after the first concert and being unable to stop the smile from taking over his face as he talks about the huge reaction army had when they surprised them with Baepsae 😭 and then his so sweet "oh be careful" and steadying hand for the camera person when they almost tripped over something. Who is the best and why is it Tae? Protect him always 😭😭

Some of the guys doing an impromptu photoshoot backstage before the second show. Lmao and goodness, Jin has been wrecking me so hard during this Muster and all these Muster making films. This little pretend photoshoot? He didn't have to go so hard! I love how they have fun together!

Jimin: " we still have the encore stage. Keep your eyes on us till the end." That was the plan!!

Jimin crashing Sope's ending mentions with the camera, nodding along to their words and just adding a "love you" is such a mood. I Love HIM!! They are all so sweet

And that's it for the first 2 discs!! I'll make a part 2 and 3 for the last 2 discs of memories 2016 soon! I loved this all so much. I love seeing them have a blast with each and with ARMY. Disc 3 looks packed full of content, I'm already looking forward to it! Thank you for letting me share 💜

i don't understand how taekookers are only worried/hating on jikook cause have you seen vmin ... tae wrote a whole song bc of a fight they had and said on live tv that he loves him the most and noww jimin's "my love" for tae's bd . i also just saw a twt thread about vmin in concerts and bro .. the skinship and flirting are out of this world how are they just blind to that

++ (this is the vmin anon) and also tae when he said that jimin released all the arrows charged with various emotions pent up in his heart like bro ... that's romantic. now i don't ship vmin ( the only pair i think might be possible is jikook tbh) but how did the fandom brush that off and how do tkkrs keep on hating on only jkk when tae did this.. and how do ppl say that tae hates jm when he literally said the most romantic thing any bts members have told abt eachother

They really don't make a lot of sense, do they? 😭

I think it could be because they feel that Jimin acts like a boyfriend towards JK and they resent him for that either because they think they own JK or because they think they own Taehyung (and by association they own JK, cuz they're boyfies), or because they have convinced themselves that JK hates Jimin. So all of that makes them dislike Jimin. They are also super super sure like the type of confidence that's just insane, that Taehyung is contractually obligated to act like a friend with Jimin, and the soulmates thing is also a contract thing. Basically, going with what they believe, apparently Taehyung is just one big liar 😕 I don't know how they cope with that. They think Jimin is one big liar, too. Have they realized that they hate Jimin for being fake but they believe that Tae (and Jungkook) is also fake? It's therapy worthy tbh.

Jungkook is by far the most shipped member in BTS, and most of his ships have like, all the conspiracy theories and hidden messages to "support" said ship because all of JK shippers actually believe that JK ships are real, but taekookers don't care about that either. It's only Ji(min)kook that bothers them. They don't hate on Jin (I've seen some but very few, would not make a difference), or Namjoon (do you know the times I've made this face 😬 when JK was talking about falling for Namjoon and Jimin was there). Seriously, be it vmin or jinkook or even minimoni or namkook, there are a few other ships that have more "meaningful" relationships and interactions than taekook, but well. They really are obsessed with Jimin.

I think tho that there's also a factor of how constant all the content is, and maybe vmin have more meaningful interactions, but taekook have definitely more, you know what I mean? Just the same as jikookers don't believe in jikook because of one or two things, taekookers, or any other shippers, they also believe in their ships because of the sum of everything those two people have done together. If we go by quantity, there's definitely more reasons to believe in taekook than to believe in vmin. Taejin and vhope also have lots of sweet moments but they go "under the radar" and I think we all forget very quickly about those lol or at least I know I forget. Taekook I guess seems to have a more constant and steady flow of content and naturally, it's easier for people to pick up on things that are constantly happening, than to pay attention to things that are rare. I mean just for example taekook have been interacting literally every week of this break. It's constant, it's familiarity. It's normal for people to be drawn to something that's predictable and steady and familiar. All these taekook interactions have this feeling.

A lot of people are also really hung up on wether there's "tension" or not between the ship, and automatically define it as sexual tension. Taekook have some tension, I'll admit it. Vmin do not. I don't think it's sexual, but probably for a lot of people is.
