About Sigrid Patterson:
I love art, creating it, viewing it and thinking of my next projects. I find my inspiration everywhere and sometimes my pieces have deep meaning for me, and sometimes they are just for the pure beauty of the subject. Conflict and joy.
No matter what I am working on, I'm happiest when I'm painting. With each piece I go through a process of designing, problem solving, changing direction and sometimes weaving my stories and meaning into the work. It’s a whole journey and every journey is different. I am continually learning.
Much of my work is based on flowers. Flowers are used across cultures to signify major events and milestones in our lives and to relay emotions - births, deaths, marriage, love, celebrations, friendship, sorrow, regret. I extend the story telling element of flowers to represent my social commentary and observations. This often focusses on the environment, social equity, sustainability, diversity and community.
I am experienced in several mediums though always come back to favourites - painting big and bold in oils and acrylics.
All flowers and plants used in my paintings are grown, not flown.

Hello, i would like to know 43,49,18,17,12,9,7,6,2 - really nosy :p
good day! :) I'm really nosy too so don't worry :)
2: what are you obsessed with right now?
well this is almost the same question, as the one I already answered, but I'm just gonna write down some more things I'm obsessed with :)
these 4 songs: BMTH - Blasphemy, Our Mirage - Falling (Telle's voice is so beautiful 😍), SWS - Dying To Believe, Too Close To Touch - What I Wish I Could Forget (this one hits hard every time)
playing BTD6 with my roommate and some of his friends online (his friends are really sweet and chill!)
the fact that it feels like I'm actually working a lot on my mental health with my therapist rn
6: describe your dream home
well I still haven't figured it out completely but I think I would want one of the two:
1. super modern house, very black and white, sleek and minimalist, lots of plants and still very cozy!
2. super crammed and hippie, every piece of furniture out of a different material, we recycled most and made some other things ourselves, still: loads of plants
honourable mention: industrial look, exposed brick, metal beams and of course, lots of plants ;)
7. who are you jealous of?
hmm I can't really think of anything right now, but what I do think is that this life is so unfair and good people have to deal with so much shit and feel so much loss, while rich people some others just get everything handed to them cause they built this capitalist systemically oppressive system to be like this
wouldn't say I'm jealous cause I don't wanna trade their place, I just want life to be better for everyone!
9: do you watch porn?
not really, the last time I watched any "real" porn was like at least half a year ago
(of course I consume a lot of sexual content on Tumblr but I wouldn't necessarily call it porn?)
what I used to do to get in the mood is read erotica, but I also haven't done that in a long time...
12: what's one of your fantasies?
hmmmm the first thing I thought of was going on a walk with a dog on a chilly autumn night :) it's not much but it makes me happy! :)
17: are you angry at anyone right now?
look at my answer for question 7 lol
and also all the people that don't respect the covid restrictions!! makes me sick!
i know you wanna see that friend or visit your family but is it really worth it to risk killing someone for that?.....
i wish there was a global hard lockdown (like in Melbourne) then we didn't have to do this "it's fine if only X amount of people die" dance and get tighter and light restrictions ever few weeks (at least that's what it feels like where I am)
18: what tattoos do you want?
i don't really have any set visions for tattoos that I want but here are some ideas:
i would like something that's like "gay!" like a little = I've seen before! or just a naked lady haha
i really like sleeves 🤤 but I don't have enough things that I would like to ink on my body
and underboob!! love that :)
43: what's your guilty pleasure?
hmm I would say listening to really pop-y music sometimes? can't really think of anything else rn
49: who do you text the most?
not even a question, the girl I'm dating!

  ° UPDATES  ━  DECEMBER ‘18 / JANUARY ‘19
TRAINEE LIFE ° ♡
spent the last few months very conflicted about her pending contract expiration, but she decided that re-signing was likely the safest bet, so rose re-signed for another two years.
she spent all of christmas and most of the new year at seocho and royal entertainment, rehearsing and perfecting her portion of the “we are royalty” stage.
gradually came to terms with her earning a center position, definitely wanted to prove to her superiors and the other trainees, that she really is worthy of such a position.
she spoke to jihyun sometime in december, and has decided to really pursue any & all leadership opportunities presented to her; aka royal girls, generation two leader.
she’s also planning on doing a cover project once a month, as a way to encourage her skills to develop and also to keep herself out of a creativity rut.
as a summary, rose has turned a new leaf over, 2019 is going to be her year and she plans to work extremely hard in all aspects of her life, especially as a trainee.
EVERYDAY LIFE ° ♡
she got a new tattoo in december ‘18, a small heart on her right ring finger. no significant meaning behind it, other than the fact that she wanted something small. she plans to stick with small, minimalist ones that match her aesthetic and are easy to hide.
brought another electric guitar, bringing her total guitar collection to two acoustic guitars, two electric guitars and one bass guitar. this one is baby pink, though.
still going to therapy sessions monthly, is considering going every second month or so. paring this with journalling, working out, eating healthy and praying.
she spent new years eve with younghyun.
rose is in the process of planning her trip back home to melbourne, australia; of which will be the first time since april 2017 ( when she went home for her brother’s wedding ).
once again, she won’t be going alone; lisa will be accompanying her!
RELATIONSHIPS ° ♡
she’s falling, or more so has fallen for younghyun. big time. the two kissed at his 21st and stated their likings for eachother. she stayed the night, although nothing happened.
since then, the two of them have been seeing a lot of eachother. nothing official though.
her brother, sister and sister in law came to seoul for a couple of weeks before christmas, rose took a little bit of time out to hang out with them, and this really boosted her spirits.
she also found out that she’s going to become an aunt sometime in 2019!
things are all good at home with lisa and jisoo, although she still really misses jennie a whole lot. things are a little easier now she knows jennie’s actually made her debut.
hasn’t spoken to sungho in a long while.
CURRENTLY . . . ° ♡
listening to eclipse’s debut album, panic! at the disco’s pray for the wicked.
watching tiding up with marie kondo, rewatching buffy the vampire slayer ( again )
reading white chrysanthemum by mary lynn bracht, the bible ( all the way through )
WHAT TO EXPECT IN FEBRUARY ‘19?
her 22nd birthday and australia shitposting. leadership achievement grinding.

ARTRAVE: LADY GAGA BACKSTAGE, PART V
The North American leg of the “ArtRAVE” ended on August 8th, 2014 in Seattle. Here’s a look at what she wore backstage to meet with fans in the Middle Eastern and European leg of the tour. Click here to read the last post.
Tumblr media
Firstly, Gaga posed with a few fans inside Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on August 9 while repping a Celine Pre-Fall 2011 minimalistic strapless fluid black crêpe jumpsuit with internal boned corset.
Tumblr media
She accessorized the look with hand-made Illesteva Capri sunglasses in black with silver detachable front lenses...
Tumblr media
...and the Savitri silver septum piercing with traditional Indian motifs by London-based jewelry store Tribu.
Tumblr media
These photos are from the meet & greet in Melbourne on August 23.
Gaga wore lace lingerie and an unlabeled purple satin peacock print kimono robe which you can purchase from various pages such as Ebay, Amazon or AliExpress.
Tumblr media
Her specs are the ultra rare Alain Mikli AM14S rhinestone-embellished butterfly-shaped frames, made back in 1978 but sadly never sent into production - making every piece that exists a real runway showpiece.
Tumblr media
We got a better view at her shoes later that night when she partied in Melbourne’s Cherry bar.
She wore the Pleaser Spiky-609 black vinyl platform ankle strap sandals with sculpted heel.
Tumblr media
Gaga posed with a group of fans who attended the show at the Meydan Racecourse in Dubai on September 10.
The singer sports a custom Essa Walla black sheer caftan gown which the designer actually gifted to her moments before the above photos were taken.
Tumblr media
Her edgy gold-plated gladiator cuffs are by Cairo-born jewelry designer Nina Bakry Body Jewelry.
Tumblr media
On September 16 Gaga performed at the ITU Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey!
She donned a vintage Azzaro Spring/Summer 1971 long red jersey boat-neck dress with dense bead and paillette embellishments soruced from Resurrection Vintage.
Loris Azzaro launched his label in 1967 and quickly defined his trademark looks by using ornate beading, sequins, daring cut-outs and avant garde ways of defining the body. Some of the most beautiful women in the world wore his clothing including Marisa Berenson, Raquel Welch, Jane Birkin, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot and Tina Turner. It was a label that defined sexiness and had a certain French flare that women world-wide loved. By the seventies and eighties he was experimenting with volume and proportions and new fabrics that at the time were all cutting edge. This is a stunning example of his work during this period.
Tumblr media
Her ring is the Headlights large pavé silver cocktail ring by Kenneth Jay Lane.
Tumblr media
She also opted for Manolo Blahnik’s black suede pumps with pointed toe.
Tumblr media
Hamburg welcomed the “ArtRAVE” on October 3. After the show, Lady Gaga wore a vintage 90s “Dr. Feelgood” tour tee by Mötley Crue.
Her golden face tattoos are by Gold Nine Ink.
Tumblr media
The “ArtRAVE” continued in Cologne on October 7th.
After the show, the songstress dressed in another vintage band top. This time it’s a vest top by Iron Maiden featuring their “The Trooper” cover art.
Tumblr media
The Coco Flamingo pumps by Sophia Webster, which completed the look, feature two gold flamingos kissing on the back heel of the black suede pointy-toed pumps.

20 Freshest Web Designs, March 2019
Welcome to our roundup of the best websites launched (or relaunched with major updates) in the last four weeks.
This month’s offering sees the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring, and many sites this month reflect that change with rich colors. To counter that, there’s some high-contrast black and white work on show. You’ll also find innovative uses of images and video. Enjoy!
Takahisa Mitsumori
A leading exponent of digital music, Takahisa Mitsumori is a Japanese musician now based in Berlin. His simple site blends minimalist Japanese graphic design, with a Swiss Design approach to create an intriguing visual interpretation of his sounds.
Rejina Pyo
A lot of designers acknowledge the merits of negative space, but how many truly embrace the concept? Rejina Pyo’s site is an exemplary example of how to use white space to frame images, giving the whole site a modern, sophisticated look.
The Nue Co.
With so much color on the web in recent months, its startling when you encounter a black and white, high-contrast approach. The Nue Co. uses a little subtle color in its product images, but the whole site is mostly black and white, and all the more impactful for it.
Zhee-Shee Production
Illustration is a huge trend for 2019, but so many designers are following the same patterns, resulting in derivative work. But not Zhee-Shee Production, whose charming, witty illustrations manage to straddle corporate interests, and pop culture.
Lune Croissanterie
Some people take themselves far too seriously, and Lune Croissanterie may fall into that trap. The Melbourne-based company isn’t a shop, or a factory, it’s an experience dedicated to the perfection of the croissant. It’s the most committed pastry site I’ve ever seen.
Bruegel: Once in a Lifetime
This magnificently animated site for an exhibition of works by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, takes enormous liberties with the Flemish master’s artwork, but wonderfully captures the spirit of his anarchic, surprising, and honest depictions of everyday life.
Uenoland
Uenoland is a design conference taking place in Brooklyn from the 2nd to the 4th of May. Its one-page site has a design-centric Medium feel, with on-trend illustrations, and a clear type hierarchy. One of the few times when over-indulging design trends is an appropriate approach.
Fluff
Fluff Casual Cosmetics are on a mission to make you, look like you. Its daring approach is designed to appeal to a much younger audience than many cosmetics companies, and its use of programmatic animation, and moving videos perfectly target that demographic.
66 Nord
Take a trip to the poles with 66 Nord, a travel company specializing in trips to the arctic and antarctic circles. There are options from Russia to Alaska, and the site’s incredible photography does an outstanding job of selling these awe-inspiring vacations.
Oficina Penadés
Brutalism has been hanging around for a while now, and as design trends go, it’s a little hard to swallow. The industrial quality of the style can be jarring and inaccessible. However in the case of Oficina Penadés’ site, it perfectly encapsulates the work on show.
Tuesday Bassen
Sometimes what a site needs to lift it out of the ordinary and into the realms of greatness, is a bold choice of typeface. Tuesday Bassen is one such site; the simple Shopify-powered store for the LA-based brand is delightful thanks to some great art direction, and that beautiful branding.
Stardust
Stardust uses a carefully considered gradient to mimic the look of the sky at dawn. The positive visual reinforcement of its message plays out beautifully as you scroll. And check out that clever, animated hamburger menu—it’s explained, and then tucked away.
Hachem
We’ve been living in a white and grey, with a touch of blue, world for so long that when we see color it hits us right between the eyes. Hachem is an art supplies store, so you’d expect some creative daring, and the hues and lettering on display deliver exactly that.
German Shible Tattooing
The exciting thing about web design right now, is that we’re leaving behind the era of cold, minimal design, and infusing our work with personality. I love the bold, some might say eclectic, font pairings on German Shible Tattooing. Don’t forget to tap that tiger’s nose.
Hinderer & Wolff
Designers often make the mistake of thinking that effective UX means eschewing fancy 3D effects, but not so! Simple to understand products, and especially luxury products, benefit from some bells and whistles. Hinderer & Wolff’s impressive site is a joy to explore.
Goodwell Co.
Goodwell Co. is dedicated to replacing the plastic dental care products that fill landfill sites, with sustainable products that are good for the environment. Its site is simple, to convey its simple message, and the positivity of the message is reinforced with color.
London Terrariums
Brilliantly employing the split screen trend, the site for London Terrariums scrolls through text on the right of the screen, while fading images in and out on the left side. It’s a simple and effective approach to presenting a minimal amount of content engagingly.
Jinn & Co.
The fullscreen macroscopic video of Jin & Co.’s artisanal confections is more than enough to sell the desirable candy. The inclusion of broad spectrum hemp oil explains the purse-busting price tag, but they sure do look good, especially the mango-guava and lychee jellies.
Les Animals: 2019 Wishes
This site is a lovingly created set of wishes illustrated and animated for 2019. Alongside the charming visuals, you’ll also find the sort of careful interaction design that you would expect from a digital agency of this calibre. It’s a joy to use.
Aida
Just because you’ve reached the age where nibbles are more common at your parties than shots, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t party hard. Aida is a NY-based party food and accessories company with a fun, morning-after style of art direction.
Add Realistic Chalk and Sketch Lettering Effects with Sketch’it – only $5!

The 6 Tattoo Artists You Need to be Following on Instagram
Tattoos have been around roughly 5,000 years (the oldest known figurative specimens were discovered on an ancient Egyptian mummies dating back 5,200 years), but over the course of history the meaning of tattoos has evolved significantly. Formerly a signifier of “outsider” status flashed by bikers and convicts, tattoos have evolved into the realm of fine art. These days, it seems like people collect tattoos the way they do contemporary art; It’s no longer about what the tattoo is – it’s about who did it.
This is partially because Instagram has made it easier than ever for tattoo artists to brand themselves, share their creative processes, and connect with followers directly. Consequently, Instagram famous artists like Doctor Woo (@_dr_woo_), who has 1.4 million followers, in global demand.
So, is getting inked a form of collecting art? Critics have questioned tattoos’ place in the art world, as their inability to be framed and displayed “resists the museum model and commercialization of art.” Does that make Instagram a museum for tattoo artists?
Perhaps. But even if not, it is at least a way for fans to track their favourite artists’ whereabouts, so that they can lineup at flash tattoo sales or direct message them some ink ideas. For now, here are 6 Insta famous tattoo artists that are worth following — if you don’t already.
