Alfornada is lovely so far! I've met multiple other people with Drowzee, and you don't see that like, ever in Striaton. Even among other psychics. The view from the battle court is spectacular too! We're gonna check out some of the local pottery places in a bit!

Gotta say, I was kinda worried about exploring the desert because of the possibility of encountering strong Pokémon, so it's kinda nice to have someone with a Gallade with us. Lullaby's pretty strong too, but she's also not really built for the desert climate.

Anyway, haven't spotted any Rellor yet. Saw some Larvesta, though! They're pretty cute.

Gonna head out to Cascarrafa to explore the Asado Desert today! Grandma is gonna be staying behind in the city while Zeke and Mateo accompany me. Don't think Zeke fully trusts Mateo yet, which I guess is understandable. I just hope his Pokémon won't be too bothered by the desert environment.

We're gonna be leaving Alfornada soon, but I had a lovely time. It was nice meeting so many other Psychic type trainers, the food was great, and grandma, Zeke, and I got to make some pottery together!

We also took a Cyclizar tour of the nearby ruins, and I think I might've made a friend? Our tour guide, this guy named Mateo. His grandma owns one of the local pottery shops we visited, and he has family in Nacrene! He's apparently also pretty knowledgeable about the Asado Desert, and he offered to accompany us on our trip there tomorrow since he has the day off from touring then? He's a real nice guy, and he's got two pretty tough Pokémon, so I don't mind him coming with us.

HI SORRY, WE'RE IN MESAGOZA NOW-

Been a bit of a hectic past couple of hours, but we've arrived in Paldea safely. We checked into a hotel in Mesagoza, and I got to see and hug the everloving shit out of my brother for the first time in nearly a year. We're gonna have a reunion/introduction for our Pokémon tomorrow (my mons haven't met Pickles, his Pawmi, and Zeke's mons haven't met Lullaby). We're also gonna give Zeke his birthday gifts tomorrow (since that's his birthday after all), but he's still trying to pry it out of us anyway. Not to be sappy on main, but Arc, I missed him.

The 'mons are adjusting well. They're checking the hostel out. Lullaby's a bit miffed about the lack of a ceiling perch, but otherwise they seem fine. We're watching a Contest on the dinky little TV in our room.

Ugh. Fell asleep on the plane. Still a few hours before we make our pitstop in Alola. From what I can tell the pilot has some kinda business in Alola, hence why we're making a stop at all. I dunno. My head hurts up here.

Well, turns out we're heading home a day early. Guess we won't be seeing Artazon on this trip after all. Our flight leaves in about an hour.

Overall, I think this trip was a great time! We didn't get to see much of Paldea while we were here, but what I did see was lovely. I met Mateo, who was a joy to have around during our Alfornada tour and Asado Desert trip. We're definitely keeping in touch. I'm a little sad about leaving, though. I'm just... gonna miss Zeke.

But anyway, we should be home late tonight!

Mateo gave us some recommendations for places to check out before we head back to Unova, so we're checking out Cortondo today and Artazon tomorrow! Zeke's been to the bakery in Cortondo (and challenged the gym but that's not important rn), and he says it's great. And grandma really wants to see the art in Artazon.

Well, that was a fun excursion! We were keeping track, and I wanna say we saw about 73 different Rellor during our trip, including Mateo's new team member. Didn't find any Rabsca, unfortunately. We're grabbing a late dinner in Cascarrafa and then heading back to the hotel. Mateo's joining us for food and then returning to Alfornada. Not sure what we're doing tomorrow, but regardless, it was a good time. Mateo and I exchanged numbers so we can keep in touch.

And WHOMST is Mateo hm?

Mateo was our tour guide in Alfornada yesterday. He took us on a Cyclizar tour in the nearby ruins, and we started talking when we mentioned being from Striaton City since he's got family nearby in Nacrene! We mentioned that we'd be checking out the Asado Desert, and he offered to accompany us since he had the day off today and he knows a lot about the desert. He wasn't lying; he's been spilling a lot of interesting history about this place while we've been here! He's also a damn good trainer. He's got a really strong Gallade named Nash, and a Cyclizar named Beauty that's part-time tour 'mon for the ruins/part-time personal pet. He's been great company so far, and it's been really reassuring to have such a strong trainer with us in the desert.

Mateo showed up after all! We're gonna grab some supplies in Cascarrafa and then head out to the desert!
