Playing Minecraft Murder Mystery with my friends is so funny because Orm and I have played it together for years, so they know my tells instantly. Twig and Doc don't though, so I'll be silently picking off people and when they finally figure it out Orm will be squirreled away somewhere like, "Y'all are cooked, good luck" and watch me slaughter them in cold blood.

*whistles* that’s either a group of pen based magical girls, zombie-plant pvz hybrid, or a robot cat magic thing that I actually still have.

The group of magical girls came to be cuz bored child brain saw colorful pens and the caps of the pens kinda looked like boots, so every pair of colors would be a magical girl, pretty sure the one I played with most was the red and black one

The hybrid because I heard a rumor that there was unlockable zombie plants in the game, so I started drawing the plants as zombified plants, the most drawn one was the triple pea shooter (cannot remember its name)

And my girl, KattyTail (I’m gonna change her name at some point :P) She was originally a combination of… of uh-… she was a fusion of… of video game characters, uhm, very popular indie game characters, only two, from an RPG and Horror game, yeah. She was supposedly a fusion of them after they were crushed under rubble and both materials that made them up combined, but because she didn’t belong to either world anymore she was booted off into some sort of void where she lived with two others like her. She comes as a set with those two others, however I’m pretty sure she’s the oldest out of them all, even if it’s only by a couple minutes. As of her current state, she’s in an actual world now and is not connected to those characters anymore. She’s the ghost of a woman who was screwed over by her ex-husband and is now inhabiting an old timey cat-maid robot. She’s stern and takes no bs, she’d rather get straight to the point than circle around a subject, she’s also known to be irritable and outright rude, not particularly fond of humans, other magical beings get a pass on her book, tho her only soft spot is for felines.

Minecraft 2d animated (with rotoscoped / painted-over in-game backgrounds) movie plot where it doesnt feel the need to do the player's batman origin and instead starts in media res with

A trio of piglin children, let's call them lapis, lavender, and daisy (ego, id, superego / whatever trio trope you want to use), playing around an inactive, old portal frame in the nether, running home only to find their settlement being destroyed by territorial ghasts, their families nowhere to be seen - these are our focus characters, and the audience surrogates. A ghast catches sight of them and gives chase, firebombing the area behind until they run into the portal frame again and a fireball activates it - with no other choice, they flee through it (with minor hijinks as they try to run through it at first and only realize on accident that they have to stand in it) just as another fireball deactivates it.

They arrive on the overworld, in an old player base, and wander and wonder at their new surroundings, before one of them collapses and starts coughing and spasming, as the undead plague takes hold of all three. They are about to turn until they are doused with a splash potion of weakness and chunks of holy golden apple, inoculating them for the time being.

They awaken in the modest house of an aged and experienced Steve, dark skinned and stoic, but with a kind twinkle in their eye, like Santa claus.

The language barrier and Steve's muteness prevents any complex explanations, but the kids get through that they had a bad experience and need help.

There can be a comedy bit where Steve sweats over only having porkchops on hand and tries to make due with some noncontroversial mushroom stew, until the kids happily dig into the "hoglin meat" as well.

Steve plunges into the nether to clear a path for the kids to go home, not realizing they are telling them that their home is gone, until Steve sees it for themself. Unwilling to condemn the kids to a zombie apocalypse in the overworld, Steve elects to lead them across the land to other player's bases in hopes of finding a nether portal that leads right to a settlement or bastion, before their immunity wears off. Adventurous hijinks ensue as they marvel and panic at the beauty and dangers of this world!

Some bits and story beats could be:

Alex (or one of the other, or even all, of the default skins) is one of the players encountered, kitted with elytra and netherite, building a massive megastructure, contrary to Steve's humble lifestyle. Alex does some cool air tricks as they land, but Steve is unimpressed, even cocking their hip and raising an eyebrow.

Steve and another player seem to be communicating, eyes locked together, with Lavender theorizing that they have some kind of telepathy, until it briefly but jarringly switches to gameplay where the players are allcaps "screaming" at each other in text chat.

The kids are attacked and one seems to be on the precipice of death, or even infection, until one of the players slaps a Totem of Undying into their hands and they are saved in the nick of time, deposited a few blocks away.

Lapis is in awe of the gold ore littering a badlands canyon while camped and tries to be brave to get some, accidentally falling, as Steve jumps down after them, catches them, and buckets just at the bottom, revealing an expertise and practice with the game belied by their wooden cube house, grass block floor, and disorganized chests.

They see the ruins and zombie hordes and even the Skulk, spawned by whoever the Ancients were, and the dangers of going too far. Maybe they are even pursued by a zealous Warden who breaches the surface to "correct" these "anomalies", as an additional "big bad".

It ends up being, of course, that the portals all lead to inhospitable places, like soul sand barrens, nether fortresses, and somehow even above the bedrock ceiling. When they actually DO find a settlement, it's a bastion, and while the other piglins are ambivalent or cautious, the Brutes are quite dogmatic, refusing and attacking the kids on the basis that they are forest-dwelling foreigners who reek of the overworld. Luckily for them, they have a new found-family of players who've been quite taken with them over their adventures who arrive to help, and elect to build a sanctuary just on the other side of the portal for them to live in, and which they can visit freely. Overtime, other refugees make their way, and an amicable piglin village starts up (perhaps even hinting at a theoretical future piglin rework, hmm), with Steve raising the kids personally, and with proper anti-zombie safety precautions, showing them how to Build, in Steve's sustainable, low-impact style. A Happy ending!

I'm so sick and tired of the horrors!!

I really don't want this channel to end up like TSAMs. I can't stand anymore heavy lore, it's such a breath of fresh air just to get wacky shenanigans with fnaf characters again. Sun and Moon show already has all the lore needed, please do not beg MaSm to be serious too. It's not that serious but I'm just sick and tired of dark and depressing storylines. I don't wanna witness the horrors anymore ☹️☹️

I too don't want MASM to end up being too serious. I like it the way it is now.

My nephew loves watching minecraft videos, but they have given him a very warped view of what the game is actually like. Everything he has experienced has been through the lense of those AI baby-distraction videos of minecraft steve doing tiktok dances or mixing slime with titles like MOST SATISFYING EVER, or those janky fanimations where looney tunes style hijinks ensue. When his mom finally downloaded the game onto her tablet for him to play, he was upset that he didn't begin with armor and tools. He thought it would be multiplayer and that the things that happen in his videos would happen for real ("the iron goblin giveded the king zombie a flower and he sniffed it and was so happy that he jumped a million miles into the air and maked a rainbow come out of him"). He didn't understand that he had to mine and craft, and he would point to every block and ask "is that iron?" No, that's stone. That's also stone. That's more stone. Ask me if you see something different; if the blocks look the same, then they're the same thing.

I really take for granted how many mechanics there are to learn, and how there are no tutorials teaching you how to do ANYTHING! I had to walk him through it step by excruciating step; how to get wood, how to craft planks and a crafting table and sticks and a pickaxe, how to get stone, how to upgrade to better tools, how to dig a staircase, how to lay torches, how to smelt iron ore, it's all so complex and he can't possibly memorize it all. It'll be a very long time before he gets the hang of it, and I just hope he isn't disappointed. I turned it on peaceful mode because he was afraid of the mobs that kept killing him, so he doesn't even know about hunger or combat. He wants to build an iron golem for protection, but he doesnt understand why, it's just a thing that they do in videos.

It's so weird seeing the game through his eyes. Minecraft came out when I was 11 or 12, I started watching minecraft youtubers when I was 15 or 16 and started playing for myself when I was 18 or 19, but my nephew is 5 and he's not watching actual players, he's watching people use the minecraft mobs as action figures to go on make believe adventures. He's using the pocket edition on his mom's tablet, so I can't play with him, I have to either do things for him or be a backseat gamer and give him tips over his shoulder. I think it would be easier to teach him through example in a multiplayer server, preferably on a computer.

i should preface this by saying i’m not the BEST person to give this opinion, cuz despite how much i write jimmy, i uh… don’t actually watch his pov? i haven’t seen any of empires (except the hermit’s crossover in s2), i don’t watch his streams, and i don’t watch the one-off vids he posts on his channel. most of my knowledge of jimmy comes from his appearances in other pov’s life series episodes and how ppl portray him in fandom.

howEVER, that said, i’m curious how my interpretation would line up with other ppl’s. i view minecraft players as generally fitting into a few broad categories- tho there can def be overlap between them or a jack-of-all-trades situation. and this prob applies more to people who actually play minecraft professionally (ie. ‘play video games for a living’) than the casual player (such as myself hagshdha).

builders: have a creative eye and practiced skill in building to the point where they can, generally speaking, throw down a decent build on the fly (things that require a lot of planning/detail work often drafted in creative mode first). have good understanding of achieving a certain shape and color with their block placements. may or may not include terraforming ability. generally drawn to the game’s building aspect and spend a lot of time/care making things look good.

redstoners: have an adequate amount of base knowledge for how most redstone components work and interact with each other, tho they may occasionally still use tutorials or take inspiration from others (can only reinvent the wheel so many times). usually capable of making simple redstone machines/contraptions on the fly. generally drawn to the game by the possibility of farms and automation. some take it to extreme game-breaking lengths (doc).

competitors: have highly-trained skill in areas such as PVP, parkour, and/or any other multiplayer server type minigame. think hypixel and MCC. this isn’t to say they don’t have their own solo worlds for building or other projects, or don’t participate in smps, but their main draw to the game initially was competitive multiplayer and it features heavily on their channels. to me, speed-runners/challenge-seekers are a subcategory of this.

explorer: this type doesn’t actually show up often in popular mcyt bc it’s a largely solitary- and in some ppl’s opinion, boring- experience. but these are the players that spend hours in their solo worlds just traveling around, mining out massive caves, or doing any other kind of repetitive grindy work as a manner of relaxation. some ppl really enjoy this aspect of minecraft and it’s a major draw for them. special mention for kurtjmac, a mcyter who’s spent 13 years and counting just walking to the farlands in an old version of the game (tho he does other things on his channel as well).

and now for what category i think jimmy fits best in (which again, doesn’t mean he can’t build or do other things). i don’t have a good name for it rn so i’m just gonna call it ‘the sillies’ (affectionate).

sillies: above all else, they’re here to have fun. most, if not all, of their content is on multiplayer worlds (both public servers and private smps), and on these worlds they are extremely social, making a concentrated effort to interact with others even if not legitimately roleplaying. high amounts of pranks and hijinks abound, as well as ‘committing to the bit.’ lots of videos feature them doing some kind of funny little challenge, game, or mod with their friends. again, that doesn’t mean they can’t engage w the other aspects of the game or be skilled in those categories, but generally, it’s not their main objective and not how they spend most of their time.

that’s what i’ve got! obviously u could split all of these into many subcategories, and your average player is gonna be fairly well-balanced. but for our pro cubitos, i think this is a nice way to categorizing things (and it at least makes sense in my mind).

AvA/AvM AU Plot Idea:

Alright so you guys know how Steven Universe: the Movie revolves around the main Crystal Gems being rejuvenated and loosing all of their memories, and Steven has to figure out a way to make them remember who they were? Well what if this was applied to the Fighting Stick Figures? Like maybe something happens to their EXE files that causes all of their data to be deleted, restoring them to how they were at beginning of AvA 4, and TSC is stuck trying to figure out how to get them to remember who they were. I kid you not this idea has been living RENT FREE in my head for a bit and it's so fun to think about since the stick figures have already been through so much growth, especially throughout AvM, and have such diverse personalities outside of their original "purpose" of fighting and I think it would be an amazing reflection to see how much they've grown since their debut. LMAO I IMAGINE TSC TRYING TO FORCE BLUE INTO EATING NETHER WARTS AND HE'S RELUCTANT AT FIRST BUT THEN LEARNS HE ACTUALLY LOVES THEM XD

I'm gonna put the glitch in glitch duo right now and rant about them and how their glitches work because I am so normal about them (lie)

Okay, so I barely got into Lifesteal like. Late last year because of Squiddo joining and I lowkey got really hyped for it and seeing Ash and Squiddo together I was like.. Woah.. New fav duo alert.. And then found that there was no fancontent and had to make it myself so.

Anywho! Ashswag, as we already know, has that lil.. Thing over his left eye (?) That a lot of us (me) has interpreted as like. Glitching. So to start us off, I believe that glitching can stem from messing with your own player code/others player code/server codes/using mods with like. Virus' or something idk im not that smart. And from the Ashswag videos I've watched we can kind of tell where Ash fits in there by like. Fucking with how servers work and therefore fucking up his own code.

Squiddo's code is glitched because.. Have you watched Squiddo's videos? Naw but fr, she's constantly putting the most cancer inducing mods on her game, playing mods that can definitely fry their pc, playing minecraft on a USB DRIVE?? Which would DELETE chunks to MAKE MORE OF ITSELF so like. You can see where I'm going with this. So obviously, their code gets fucked up and the more they do these mods and plug ins and - whatever the hell, the more their code because intangible and unable to be fixed.

So, with that, I'm gonna go ahead and explain how I think their glitching works and how it affects their body/like.. Everything else.

Ashswag's glitches, as we can see, are more visible to the eye. Literally over his damn eye. I'm gonna go ahead and assume that gives him some partial blindness in his left eye. Also, from some fics that ive read ive seen people give him like, back problems and chronic pain that he probably had before but the glitches DEFINITELY don't help at all and instead make the pain way worse than it already is so. Yay!

While Ash's are more physical, I feel like Squiddo's are more like. Mental? If you catch my drift? While Ash is stumbling down into a heap of pain on the floor because his back is killing him, Squiddo is standing in the hallway staring at him wondering why the guy from the one house smp is crumbling on the floor in front of them on a server they swore they were not on a few weeks ago.

So yeah. Memory loss Squiddo. Also inspired from a fic that I do know! I'll link the fics I got inspired from at the end because they are genuinely such good reads and great ideas.

But I decided that memory loss best fit Squiddo, because tbh they are pretty forgetful. And I take their goofy hijinks and shenanigans as just. Squiddo having to recollection of anything and just trying to do something (which she's probably done before) to job their memory but oh well. I feel as if the memory loss is more of a living in the farlands thing rather than glitched out fucked-up code inducing thing, but whatever. The only time we see glitched out Squiddo is on thumbnails! So I feel like whenever Squiddo joins a server or world that's previously glitched or like. They're already pretty glitched, it really takes its toll and fucks up the whole thing and makes it a memory loss disaster for Squiddo.

And because of Squiddo's horrible memory, they can never recollect and find out what the hell happened to the world to make it this glitched out when in reality she's the reason the world is so glitched.

Except when joining servers! Surprisingly, they don't experience those things when joining servers while when joining worlds the world would become discombobulated and delete itself just after a few hours. Funsies! Which they realize when they join the one house smp just to explore it and then they find ASHSWAG!! And then realizes that HE'S GLITCHED TOO!! YAYY!!! And then they absolutely BOMBARDDDD him with questioned like "why do my worlds always delete themselves?", "what causes someone to have a glitched code?" And "how are servers able to not glitch out?" Etc etc which Ashswag answers and then BOOM! FRIENDSHIP!!!

Basically the only reason servers are able to work for them is because theres like.. This other thing cody whatever that prevents it to idk im not smart. This is not compliant with my past fics written about this stuff but oh wellsies.

Another thing I have made up is 'glitch fever' where basically they just get sick because of their fucked up code and glitches. Yeah. Also based off a fic I read where being around Ashswag too much can make you sick and stuff. I feel like their are certain people who are immune to it like Reddoons (purely because of Swagdoons and nothing else) and Squiddo (because they also glitch tf out and Swagsquid/silly).

Another thing I've like. Headcanoned (because this is all just me reading too much into things and making too many headcanons about) is that their glitches also like.. Made their body tempature irregular. This is so random but it was just something I thought of and then I wrote a fic about it. Like, Ash is constantly fucking cold and on a hot ass texas summer day he'll feel a little warm. Same for Squiddo just vice versa. I love them. The sillies. I want to put them in a terrarium and study them.

Hey I just relized something.

I’ve seen a couple people mentioned that the only reason that Mango knew about the color gang is because he saw them on t.v. With the Minecraft block. Now the T.V. Was showing the Animations vs. Minecraft (Original) and no other stick figures found it strange. This means several things for the stick figure universe.

First off in universe Someone is recording the stick figures even when Alan is not there We know that someone recorded Victim’s creation/death because of the Animations vs YouTube. However in universe it’s probably not Alan who is recording this, mostly because in Animation vs Animator V, Chosen and Dark actively fight each other in a pre-recorded version of the fight they just had. I don’t think it’s physically possible for Alan to have recorded this so either a really talented stick figure did that or more likely the YouTube program itself since it seems self-aware. As for why it would do that it’s either because it knows that people will watch the color gang, this prolonging it’s own life, or it’s a minor act of vengeance against the color gang after they defeated it in Animation vs YouTube.

Secondly The stick figures of stick city know that the Color Gang exist but they brush of King Mango’s claims about the Minecraft block. Why? Because they think it’s just a scripted show. Think about it, the stick figures of stick city have parks, carnivals, and even T.V.’s so of course they have their own T.V. Shows or at least they think they do. If they only watch YouTube then they will likely think anything that has other stick figures, especially ones that get up to wacky hijinks or are always in danger is just some elaborate action T.V. Show.

Lastly the color gang don’t know there is a outside world. They know they can go to other peoples desktops and they have seen Dark’s Lab but that’s it. The only stick figures they have met are Chosen, Dark, Purple, and King Mango. Chosen and Dark never explained to the group who they are or where Dark’s lab is. As for Purple and Mango the sticks met them through Minecraft which as far as we know is readily played by most stick figures.

Basically, the color gang is in the same situation as Bolt. the dog from the Disney movie Bolt. To almost every other stick figure they are T.V. Stars. But they know nothing other than their lives on Alan’s desktop. If they were let out into the real world they would be so lost and confused. And worse yet King Mango and Purple probably don’t even realize this. After all they are from stick city so they probably just assume the color gang is too. They probably think they are just staying on the desktop because they want to not because they don’t know anything else.

Sorry for the essay. I just need to get these thoughts off my chest.
