Held In Trust - DeiKonan oneshot. I truly wish this fic got more traffic because this pairing is absolutely beautiful, and this oneshot in particular has a metaphor that I think is extremely apt for Konan.

River of Sorrows - ItaSaku oneshot. It's very close to my heart because I incorporated Hindu mythology into this one, and I'm just really happy that I managed to put a bit of my culture and where I come from into my writing, and really make it work.

Obligations - SNS oneshot. I wrote this one like a woman possessed in the space of 2-3 days? I was working through a lot of thoughts about moving on and moving forward when I wrote this one, and finishing it felt like a balm on my soul.

Test Drive - MinaKushi oneshot. No deep reason behind this one. It just has baby Itachi being the weirdest baby ever and I think it's fucking adorable and hilarious. This was also written in a mad rush (i think in the space of a day?) immediately after the minakushi oneshot manga came out.

Complicated - ongoing ItaSaku ABO fic. It has some of the best smut I've written, and some damn good angst too. And it's also all kinds of messy and fucked up, which imo makes for the best sorts of stories!

Hmmm, quite pleased that I finished everything I started. Most of these are one-shots. I don't write too many AUs haha.

It looks like I don't usually start fics with dialogue (only two on this list do), and I seem to prefer humor. Mostly third-person past tense, rarely present tense, and I never write in future tense. What does this mean?

The scene in "Doormat" was reworked into Chapter 4 of "The End of Winter." Because I just wanted to fit some of these one-off ideas into a larger narrative.

Days, I used your fic sorting method and it's more work than I thought. Now I'm very impressed that you follow this format for all your rec lists - how?

hmmmm I'm not entirely certain I know what you mean by a normal life, but I'll just recommend NaruHina fics where Minato and Kushina are alive.

hello their my lovely writer/author of quietus, do you also read other ss stories, can I ask what have you read and if you can recommend me something that you think is really good Thank you.

Boring answer... I haven't properly read SS fanfics for years. Not because I don't love SasuSaku, I just don't have that luxury of spare time to spend hours on Ao3 hunting for and binge-reading fics. Normally I only have time to write and proof-read my own work, unfortunately, and that's mostly been the case pretty much since I finished uni and started working full-time.

Also, I'm very picky when it comes to writing styles in general, and it's not easy for me to get really hooked on something.

I favourited Little Piece of Heaven by Leanne Ash and Color Theory by BlueGreenApples years ago. I've read Blind and Ripples and other well-known ones that you probably know about already. Color Theory was my favourite back then. Honestly can't remember what LPoH was about and I read lots of others that I never bookmarked. I should update my faves.

Sorry I can't provide a long list. But, maybe now that I'm on a writing break, you and other readers might like to recommend some good fics or oneshots for me to read, instead, because I don't have time to look? :D I could do with some inspo to keep the fanfic flame alive during my hiatus.

I do really miss that feeling of finding a great writer, being fully immersed in a beautifully-written, well-paced story and getting excited over new updates. I've forgotten what it's like to be on the other side of fanfiction, sadly. So any recommendations of good, in-character content are welcome, and not just fics that focus strictly on SasuSaku necessarily.

I'm not a big fan of romance, and while I like the fanarts, the fanfics... nope xD. That being said, some of the fics I read have Minakushi as a background ship, but I can't remember right now. Sorry friend, I just don't read a lot of fanfics 😅

Oh wait, I just remembered! A nice anon recommended me this fic a few weeks ago: "Second Chances" by enzhe. It features Minato and Kushina and is a modern AU. I haven't read it yet, so I can't tell you anything else.

Maybe some of my followers/mutuals have some Minakushi fic recs? Any cool fics out there guys??

About the MinaKushi week, it sounds pretty cool! But I don't know if I'd be able to host that on my own (it sounds like it's a lot of work!) or if people would be interested. What do you say guys? Would any of you like to participate?? Please let me know!!

okay, you know if Minato and Kushina didn’t tragically die, then YES.  Minato and Kushina have a Fantastic Love Story!!!!  How he wants to help her, but Kushina is way too self-sufficient!!!  How he follows her around sorta, always watching, but Kushina just thinks he’s lame because he doesn’t do anything to help!!!  How he finally does save her because she leaves her red hair (red thread of fate 💗💗💗), and she falls in love with him under the moon!!!  And their married life was adorable, and Naruto would’ve been such a happy child if they had lived 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

KyuubiLover100 has also written a MinaKushi-centered fic called “The Konoha Life” - Rated M, College AU, Multi-chapter, Incomplete. Konoha City Academy is dedicated to making sure their students become the biggest names in their respective industries once they graduate and develop the skills and connections necessary to become successful later on in life. Of course this comes with trials and tribulations of its own so it's always interesting to see how everyone reacts to the same situation.

I didn’t read much of that one, but I trust that it’s good because KyuubiLover100 is a good writer!
