We're in the second trimester now, and I've hit that burst of energy I usually get around this time. I feel a lot more in control of things and I can plan a lot of my day and actually stick to the plan without being waylaid by sickness or fatigue.

(AN: I hadn't actually picked a name for this kid, which is ironic because this is classic last-kid-in-a-fundie-family treatment. I went through the game provided names and Everett was nice and actually worked for the vibe I have going for these people and their offspring.)

Speaking of pregnancy, Lorilee had her baby! She and Charles welcomed little Everett Collins into their family at San Myshuno General hospital. Lorilee gloriously laboured for 30 hours with her little guy, and she and Charles updated us constantly with either video calls or message updates. Lorilee's mum and sister flew into the city last week to help the new parents as they adjust to their newest addition. My parents and Ashton are planning on stopping by on their way to see Zoe and Francisco, with all of us spread around the country my parents have definitely gained a tonne of flying and road miles travelling all over to see us. Soon enough we'll all be together for Parker and Lana's wedding.

We had a little birthday party for little Joshua, he turned 6 years old and is ready to join his brothers in full time schooling! We've been doing kindergarten level work with him to get him ready for grade 1 schoolwork, I've got the main materials that I've used with the other boys but I will order him his own workbook to use for this school year. He's going to be the 7th student our school table, and because of the baby coming around the time school is starting my mother in law, Angie, will be taking over the boys schooling until I can be up and about after the baby.

My mother-in-law has been a blessing to me since the day I met her, but whenever I'm pregnant she goes above and beyond to be available to help. She's come over and helped with school on days when I couldn't separate myself from the toilet, she's helped Mason get them ready for church on days when I couldn't do it myself, she even brought over meals whenever I couldn't cook. Everytime we announce that there's a new baby on the way she celebrates as if it's her first grandbaby, the boys are absolutely in love with their Mimi - as Angie likes to be called.

We are so grateful to be have this family of ours where we have been blessed with 8 (soon to be 9) blessings that have given us reasons to constantly celebrate. Joshua asked for his birthday outing to be to our local pizza place, so one day Mason got off work early so we could take him out to eat his birthday treat. Our different friends and family have sent him such wonderful gifts, be it a toy, a card, some money, or books.

In the months and years since Andrea and Melody reconciled, Andrea gave birth to a beautiful baby girl: Camille "Millie" Fletcher, Cordelia aged up, Cam and Dre discovered they were expecting another child, and the Fletchers moved into a bigger home for their growing family.

In the years passed, big changes came to the Pike family as well.

Mimi aged up and moved into an apartment with Evie. Mel and Saunders gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Journee Saunders-Pike. They'll be raising them NB till they're old enough to pick their pronouns.

Melody finally agreed to let Saunders move in with her, but she knew they both needed a fresh start they could build as a family together. So, despite Melody's love of San Myshuno, they purchased a home in Newcrest together. Mimi's apartment is also in Newcrest, so they visit often.

Melody is still in therapy working through her hangups when it comes to her failures in her love life and her friendships. Working through them has helped her and Saunders slowly grow closer emotionally.

But they've continued to keep things spicy sexually 😏

Journey met up with her good friend, Maliyah to catch up. I Imagine this about 2 weeks after the robbery.

Maliyah: Girl, tell me what’s been up with you. You aint text me back in a week. And you know if you aint texting me Naomi is. I swear that girl is something with all them damn siggas she been fucking.

Journey: I’ve been focusing on my self you know.....

Journey: I was robbed....

Corina never knew or cared to look for her parents. As a kid she was tossed from foster home to foster home some abusive, some not. When she was 14, one of her foster mothers tried to kill her after catching her sleeping in the same bed as a boy. She charged at her with a razor blade, leaving a permanent scar on her eyebrow. To escape her foster mother, she ran away and never went back into foster care. She started hanging out with bad people to make enough money to take care of herself. She started robbing places until she was 16 and old enough to get a job. From there she worked as much as they would let her while couch surfing and mooching off of her coworkers. At 18, she began working all hours of the day until she was finally able to buy a small house in Oasis Springs at age 24.

Storyline:

Corina is tired of working fast food jobs and barely being able to pay her bills. The only happy moments in her life were when she was in a foster home in the fashion district of San Myshuno. She felt the clothes calling at her like it was where she was supposed to be. She has been a rag reviewer for a fashion company for 3 years. She had been working very hard for her boss and asked for a promotion. She was immediately shot down and told in order for her to progress in this career she needs a degree. Her boss refused to pay for her schooling and also informed Corina if she left to go to school her job would not be held for her. Still, Corina left knowing that she would get her degree and would never go back to that company again. Will she pass? Will she find a place of work where she is appreciated? Will she find happiness in the process?

MIMI- “Certainly not you Jake. You want your regular?”

JAKE- “Yeah, ...so stranger, what’s your name now that you know mine? And what brings you to the Wharf?”

IAN- “Ian, I’m Ian. Nothing really just need to get out for a while. So this place seems like the place to be.”

JAKE- “Mimi runs a fine establishment here. No bullshit goes on here. Everyone is laid back here and gentlemanly... I guess that’s the word for it. So you new to the Bay?”

IAN- “Yeah, been here a few weeks. You from here?”

JAKE- “Nope, moved here back a few months ago, from San Myshuno. Needed a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. What brings you here, Ian?”

IAN- “Moved here with a friend.  He got engaged and moved in with his fiance.  We are students at Foxbury, so him and his fiance invited me to stay until the semester. Cheap rent, so I couldn’t pass it up. Be heading out sooner than expected it seems though.”

JAKE- “Really? And why is that?”

IAN- “His fiance’s mom is selling her house, that’s where we all stay. So they are looking to buy a new place, and I am sure they are not going to want me to tag along. So I suppose it’s back to Britechester for me. Plus, I am done being a third wheel.”

JAKE- “Well drink up my new friend. Life is never as bad as you think. Things always seem to work out.”

IAN- “Not likely in this situation. The man your in love with is in love with someone else, and your stuck living with them.  That is pretty bad if you ask me.”

JAKE- “Whoa... yeah, you have a point.  All the more reason to have more than one drink.”
