Just like the first set, the second set's flow turned out to be in Mackie's racquet. These all started from Raonic's erratic service game to start the second set, where a double fault blew one of his leads before his forehand rush resulted in Mackie's break point. Eventually, Raonic double-faulted, which resulted in Mackie's break of serve to 2-0 before the latter held to 3-0.

The match then followed with several service game holds, while the crowd tried to lift Raonic up after his service game hold to 3-1. Two games later, it became another tug-of-war moment where Raonic foiled one of Mackie's game points with a cross-court forehand pass, but it was insufficient due to Mackie's hold to 5-2 thanks to an unreturned serve.

I can’t believe I lived long enough to see Milos Raonic playing tennis again 🥹

Last night I dreamt that a big tech company created an AI powered tennis playing robot and it beat me and Milos Raonic playing mixed doubles at Wimbledon (in my dreams I’m a pro tennis player) because it could return Milos’s serve perfectly every time and in response Milos quit tennis as a protest against AI robots

Then I woke up and breathed a sigh of relief knowing that Wimbledon would never allow any kind of innovation at their tournament
