Babies, both having their own different abilities (each containing a duller down version of Melissa abilities)

I've been meaning to introduce one of my Storybots ocs that I've had for a while but here we go. Let me introduce you to...

Melissa Malware

She's a totally normal storybot who is definitely not a shapeshifting virus who has alterative motives for taking over the computer world! :D

Melissa is inspired by the Melissa and I LOVE YOU computer viruses, influencing both her name and theme of spreading love worldwide. In an alternate universe called the LoveBug AU, she launches a campaign called "Project I LOVE YOU", encouraging StoryBots to express love in various forms, aiming to boost mental well-being and promote world peace. She also advocates for self-care, which leads people to work less and less, eventually creating a job crisis in the computer world.

However, Melissa's true intent is to infect others, causing them to slack off from work, which in turn slows down real-world computers, much like a virus. As her followers idolize her, they unknowingly spread her influence, infecting others with the same behavior.

Melissa's origins lie in a more abstract form sent into the internet by her creator. Her mission was to oversee a planted computer worm and ensure its success without interference, remaining in the shadows. However, her plan was unexpectedly derailed when a young Bang, wandering in the internet department while accompanying his father, mistook the worm for a colorful gummy and ate it.

Enraged and shocked, Melissa's task was ruined, forcing her to shift focus and watch over Bang as he grew up, tracking the effects of the worm on him. Over the years, she observed his growing forgetfulness and other changes (I'll make a future post about this and my theory in more detail) as she remained in the shadows. During this time, Melissa herself evolved. Watching storybots and their society, she became curious about life beyond her virus role. She gradually changed her appearance to resemble a storybot and secretly longed for a life where she wasn’t bound to a pre-programmed destructive endgame.

As she grew fond of the attention and adoration from those who saw her as one of them rather than a virus, Melissa tried to prolong her influence and delay her inevitable mission of ruining the computer world, torn between fulfilling her creator’s purpose and finding belonging among storybot society.

When Bang becomes an adult and the computer worm fully integrates with his programming, Melissa is devastated to discover that the worm is now inseparable from Bang, and removing it would kill it. This ruins her original plan, forcing her to adapt. Instead of separating the worm, she decides to use Bang to spread the infection.

Melissa presents herself as a sweet, humble activist and invites Bang to join her "Project I LOVE YOU," using his recognizable and beloved status in the community to help promote her cause. Behind her friendly demeanor, however, Melissa despises Bang, seeing him as a foolish and undeserving figure who, for some reason, is adored by everyone. Despite her loathing, she plays the role of a supportive ally, manipulating him into unknowingly aiding her true goal, while he remains completely oblivious to her hatred and intentions.

So in a nutshell, Bang has no enemies... except for one which is Melissa because she hates his guts LMAO. But yeah that's the LoveBug AU basically. There's more to it but that's for another time.

One important thing about Melissa is that her and Milo (@supgoddo's oc) are in true real love and are perfect for each other YIPPIEE GRRR I LOVE THEM SM

Avatar vs Atlantis: The Lost Empire

I’ve seen a handful of people saying that these movies are basically the same, and I’m taking it upon myself to educate the masses about why this is false.

Now it’s true that, in broad terms, they are similar movies. A group of explorers “discover” a blue indigenous people whom they plan to murder in order to get a special rock. The white male protagonist falls in love with an indigenous woman and decides to protect her people from violent exploitation, and after they defeat the bad guys, he stays with her and is accepted into the indigenous community.

However, this description does not take into account the circumstances of the “discovery” or the motivations of the protagonists, which end up making them into rather different movies.

In Avatar, Jake Sully is a marine who decides to sub in for his dead twin brother to inhabit a modified Na’vi body. The avatar program was created in order to convince the Omaticaya to leave Hometree so an unnamed company can dig up the minerals underneath. He knows this from the beginning and has zero qualms about it for at least half the movie. He gives the company detailed information about Hometree to help them with their plans, knowing that this will completely upend the Omaticaya way of life and probably kill hundreds of them.

In ATLE, Milo Thatch is a linguist and cartographer searching for what he believes to be a completely dead civilization. He, along with the rest of the crew, is shocked to find an actual city with actual people. He even says at one point that he didn’t expect to find much more than some broken pottery. He immediately defers to King Nedakh’s judgement, insisting to Rourke that they should leave the Atlanteans alone, and tries to follow their customs for the short time they stay. He had no idea about Rourke’s plan to steal the magical crystal that has kept the Atlanteans alive for thousands of years - and as soon as he learns of this plan, he immediately tries to stop it. No questions, no hesitation, no regard for what this decision will cost him.

Jake only starts respecting the Omaticaya once he builds a relationship with Neytiri. Milo respects the Atlanteans regardless of his attraction to Princess Kida.

And another thing - Milo does not become the new king of Atlantis once King Nedakh dies. Based on his clothing and tattoos in the last scene, he doesn’t have any particularly high status. Kida becomes queen, and Milo stays as her friend and presumably teaches (re-teaches?) her how to read Atlantean.*

Jake, despite being a traitor and colonialist who knows barely anything about Omaticaya culture - despite being directly responsible for the destruction of their home and much of their people - gets to be king because he can fly the giant dinosaur.

* If you feel icky about this plot point, I don’t blame you. It is weird that in over 8,000 years they never rediscovered their own language, especially considering it’s all around them. However, I still don’t think this gives ATLE the same level of white savior-ness as Avatar because of all the aforementioned reasons.

Meet Milo!

He's a lil silly goofy guy, who's a marine biologist. He LOVES rambling about marine life and meeting new people. He tends to make friends with most people he comes across.

Despite being one of the high ranking Marine Biologist there, he is completely unprofessional or well, an unprofessional professional if you will. He has this certain way of doing things that are really questionable to those working in the same department as him, but they've grown to ignore it since his shenanigans somehow get him from point a to point b.

Although they are very fearful everytime Milo ends up discovering a new species, cause they k n o w he will name it something ridiculous and childish.

He loves to crack jokes and say random facts in a cursed manner, just to get a kick out of it.

Now, the more deeper facts about him:

Milo has a weighted stuffed Gulper Eel plushie named Mr. Eel!

Mr. Eel is basically his long life best friend, always carrying him around in his compartment. He treats this stuffed animal as if it's a living being.

He's 23 years old, Bi, and under the spectrum. Also adding that he is HIGHLY germaphobic

he's fearful of bugs and is more of a stand there and scream type of person.

His parents(Morion and Amber) are both in the field of geology, hence the last name Mineral. But instead of becoming a geologist like them, he became a Marine Biologist, and works part time at aquariums.

He uses his tablet for almost everything, managing the robot in the deeper zone of the ocean, tracking people down, playing games on it, watching videos, ect

HE ABSOLUTELY L O V E S SWIMMING and is actually really good at it thanks to his legs

His eyes tends to dilate heavily when underwater, or just simply viewing something he absolutely adores. Although when he does tend to stare at something he adores observing he kinda looks like this
