Someone over in Trigun fandom proposed a cool thing there that should be a wider trope. I started thinking about Catra and Scorpia forced to team up on Horde missions. (Seriously, if anyone in Spop wants to check out Trigun... I'll evangelize by saying that there is a character in it who is a literal-giant sweetheart like Scorpia is and her name is Milly Thompson. She wields a modified mini-gun that shoots giant cross-shaped stun-bolts. She also tries to order banana sundaes and tea in bars). (Note, if you check out the reboot, Trigun: Stampede, Milly is not present. She's supposed to show up in the second season. You need the manga or the first anime for her).

"tiny, competent, mean woman and huge, ditzy, friendly woman" should be a trope that pops up everywhere but this is the only example i can think of

I think Vash, Wolfwood, Milly, and Meryl deserve some lovely nights relishing in their little found family between the chaos of their lives. I did this piece for the Eggshells Trigun zine… I really enjoyed depicting trans joy and the comfort of finding people who love you and know you for exactly who you are. Even if you cheat at cards.

This appeared to me in a vision while discussing vashwood dynamics with my friend months ago, after finishing the 98 series… it took way too long… I first did it it in b&w values then redid the colouring entirely and I kept wanting it to be perfect, not getting out of the lines at pixel value etc but gave up
