Today was our first Adventure Day of 2022! We visited the special makers market event at Mill No. 5 in Lowell, which included a second breakfast at Coffee & Cotton, then it was off to lunch at The Raven Grille, cupcakes from Little Delights Bakery, and beer to go from Merrimack Brewery. Times are weird for sure (“weird” being the understatement of the century), but I was so grateful to visit @millno5 today and catch up with some of my favorite people. Which was an experience in itself socializing with folks I had only interacted with largely through social media/text. It was a relief, but also very heavy at the same time. Adventure Day! Today took us to Lowell, where we first poked around Mill No. 5 for the first time in ages. We did our first bits of Christmas shopping -- don't look at me like that -- and I scored some sweet cheap used vinyl. Then it was off to the city's first arts market of the season, and after that we headed to Boxborough for beer -- they had a Scotch ale! -- and a late lunch, and ice cream.
