MACHINA X FLAYON/Debut Stream

The first introduction to Machina X Flayon’s lore to viewers. Machina X Flayon, the ace pilot of Guild TEMPUS who pilots the [R-TRUS] and a genius who can pilot any vehicle in an instant. Although a “genius”, he can be clumsy and chaotic all the while, from accidentally ejecting himself from his cockpit, to crushing people, to starting police chases… so on and so forth. Prideful of his skills, there doesn’t seem like there’s nothing he cannot do! But beware, nothing is what it seems to be with him. Even if he assures you that he’ll, “Take good care of you.”

An anonymous character who seems to have lost a specific memory speaks about love as if it were something foreign to them. In their fascination with it, they attempt to become someone special to attain it but ultimately fail. When trying to accept their fate, an unknown robot [C-TRUS] appears to them, changing the trajectory of their life for the better or worse. As a result of this encounter, this causes them to come into contact with an unknown figure that resembles themself, who they then claim possession over.

You meet a familiar yet unknown figure in a mysterious space, a train traveling through the unknown. Though difficult to understand through the static that fills your ears and obscures your vision, you both chat with what little time the two of you hold. Not all questions are answered and some bring more questions than actual answers. Outlandish tales of worlds he has observed, what he knows about the [Corruption], of the connections of the Hollow Tree, about Flayon… As your time together comes to an end, he assures you that you’ll meet again, ending with foreboding words before your vision fades to black.

You “awaken” with a familiar, yet not familiar, figure standing above you. This man, wearing priestly vestment, informs “you” of your condition, that you are [Corrupted], and the current state of [Elysium] and of those who live in it. In his benevolence, he brings you into his church, a sanctuary and safe haven for those afflicted with [Corruption]. The priest introduces and explains, albeit condescendingly, more into the [Church of Rune], [Elysium], mentioning familiar figures into greater depth. However, his own patience wears thin with the questions. “You” are punished. He remembers. What he wants is…

debut watchalong

The stream begins normally before slowly becoming stranger and stranger, Flayon’s behavior at the end of the watchalong confusing the roons before the screen glitches. When the glitches clear, we are met with another Flayon in the guild hall, in the past, acting completely different than the Flayon just saw a moment ago. This prideful version converses with the Machiroons, mocking the roons on occasion before the screen and audio glitches out. In the distortion, a voice addresses Flayon shortly before the glitches clear up, returning us to Flayon. He rudely dismisses the roons and shortly after, the glitches return, this time the anguished screams of Flayon reverberate. The tense moment passes, and when the glitches clears, Flayon… greets the roons cheerfully. This Flayon speaks to the roons briefly before having to bid them goodbye as he debuts ‘soon’. The screen flickers and turns into the ending screen. A final glitch. “You’re a thief.”

the anxiety of happiness roon

Flayon starts an impromptu stream with a surprise for the roons: his very own official rigged Machiroon that he can hold. Not all is as it seems as his behavior changes suspiciously, his eyes swirls, and the screen becomes monochrome before being filled with static. Seemingly sent back in time, you are met with a past version of Flayon, before debut. He acts coldly to the Machiroons, only to soften up as time goes on. Oddly, the screen glitches again and another Flayon appears, jealous of the past Flayon over things that he takes for granted. Screen goes black and the roons are returned to the present. Flayon continues as if nothing happened, his behavior only becoming strange once again as he begins to talk about his younger self. Eyes swirling as he proclaims to protect and love the roons, “You love me right? Good, only me!”

machiroon appreciation day

Due to Flayon’s energy output with the R-TRUS getting out of control, the government is sending him to go on a vacation to find a way to express himself. To aid in this, he’s going to wear an old outfit of his that his family sent to him. Upon arriving at his guild room to collect it, he finds a portrait of his younger self and begins to hyperventilate repeating that he “is Flayon” while the screen begins to glitch. The viewer is transported to an unknown location where they’re asked a series of concerning questions while Flayon’s static covered body slowly reveals itself. Once completely uncovered, he appears with glowing swirl eyes and claims the body as his before glitching consumes the screen. The viewer then reappears in a train with a normal looking Flayon in his new outfit, that he claims is from when he went to the academy.
