"I suppose that's my cue. I can divulge a bit about Clover.

"She was an avid fan of my concerts, though we never met there. No, we first met when Tatiana forbid her from making remixes with NSR's music. One of our bigger and more public acts of dominion. I just thought of her as annoying back then, having the nerve to alter perfection.

"Then those two ruffians nearly destroyed everything (including MY satellite) and-- after an apology-- Tatiana sent Clover out to help clean up the districts. She was assigned to mine first.

"Spending so much time in the same place, we realized we had some interests. And I learned why she remixed NSR's music: she was passionate about it. Passionate about all kinds of music.

"She was like a comet getting stuck in my planetary orbit. She flew into my life and then never left."

1. When did you and your f/o(s) meet? How?

I think I've said it before at one point on here, but no one wants to scroll through Tumblr's broken tags; so I'll say it again.

Clover went to DJ SubSup's concerts so she knew of him, but he didn’t know of her. They first “met” when Clover was discovered remixing NSR's music and was publicly banned from doing so. He was there as part of the NSR group, not so much as himself. Though I imagine he didn't leave without giving her some harsh words, considering his music was a popular pick for her (because she really liked his music).

Then they actually started getting to know each other after BBJ's rampage when she was sent over to help repair the districts, starting with his.

7. How do they like to show their affection to you?

Infodumping, first off; that is a way to show affection

But like… he really wants someone to listen to him, listen to his tapes. Poor guy wants to connect with someone. I may not know a lot about space, but I would gladly listen to him gush about it all. Personal podcast <3

I like to think he's big on private physical affection too. Slaps him with a “Touchstarved” sticker

So this is part 2 of the DJ Subatomic Supernova questions

“Do you think he's ever written any songs about you? If not, what songs remind him of you, or vice versa?“

First question: yes, but not in the way you’d think.  Subatomic doesn’t seem to put lyrics in his songs most of the time (’cause one of his main genres is synthwave).  So rather than having lyrics about Clover or how he feels about her, it’s more he tries to make the song invoke the feeling of falling in love.

And for the second: For me, there’s the obvious, this (yes, it’s almost entirely because of the name.  Insert your “Revenge” joke here.), and this!

How did you meet DJ Subatomic Supernova? How long did it take for you two to fall for each other? Do you think he's ever written any songs about you? If not, what songs remind him of you, or vice versa?

Buckle up boys, it’s Clover lore time (Note: this first part are pre-game events; you’ll know what’s during the game and post)

Clover and the big DJ had a few somewhat crossing of paths before they officially met.  When Clover first came to Vinyl City, it was through a Subatomic concert where she got her current pair of headphones, but more importantly, her spark for remixing music.

I’ll go more into her full backstory later, but all you need to know for this is she remixed music unofficially (with it being NSR music because it slapped), but didn’t make them public until she was pushed by some friends to do mini outside concerts.  This didn’t fly with NSR, who after a few of these instances and some slaps on the wrists, banned her from making any kind of music, remixed or otherwise.  I imagine this was one of NSR’s more public stunts to show they ruled Vinyl City’s entertainment.  Which meant all of NSR’s artists were there, including Supernova.

Then the events of the game happen, and NSR’s like, “Hey, we should apologize to that remixer, huh?”  Tatiana herself goes to apologize to Clover and then immediately hires her (where Clover didn’t bring up wanting to work with Tatiana) to help out with the reconstruction of the districts.  This is how Clover and the DJ first officially meet, her first job being to help clean up his club in the Cast Tech District.

Anyway, answer to the next question is going under a read more because I don’t want this ask stretching down for 3 years and I’ll answer the other two questions in another post

A long.  Long.  Time.  We getting slow burn in here

Before Clover went to work with him, Subatomic had a pretty negative impression of her, with her “mindlessly stealing MY music and distorting it when it was already perfect how it was!”

His words, not mine.  

Funnily enough, he never listened to any of the remixes Clover made; he got disgusted just by the sight of them.  (Probably because she made a lot of remixes with his music, it wasn’t like he was an inspiration for her or anything, nah.)

So when Tatiana’s first assignment for Clover is work with him, he’s a little ticked off.  He’s never downright mean with her, but she does end up doing more menial tasks than his actual employees.  I think over time, he does warm up to her in his own Subatomic way, but he can’t let go of the remixes (insecurity go brrrrrrr).

One day, he asks her why so much of her work borrowed from him, and she explains that it was one of his concerts that inspired her to get into music and remixes.  And she shows off her headphones: older than the ones being sold in his district currently, a little cuffed and bumped, but still working just fine.  He’s taken aback.  Sure, fans of his write to him and tell him how he’s inspired them, but something about Clover’s statement hit differently to him.  

When work’s done, I imagine at home, or maybe walking or riding to it... Supernova finally listens to one of her remixes.  

Did either of them fall in love there?  Nah.  That’s for them to become friends, though the DJ wouldn’t admit it publicly.  (The DJ’s a tough nut to crack, man.)

Them falling in love, I don’t have as clear cut oops, more slow burn I guess????
