Taurus Sun (ultimate thread) by @milkstrology
When the Sun ingresses into Taurus it is Venus-ruled. Meaning, that Taurus being ruled by Venus sees the world through rose-colored glasses. However, unlike its airy Libra counterpart - it is also a fixed earth sign. Meaning, Taurus suns' learn from an early age that good things don't usually just stumble into your lap - and much effort or even work is applied to achieve the things you hope to find/have in the first place.
However, because Taurus is heavily Venusian influenced, and the Sun is the lens of self-expression - A Taurus Sun person may appear artistic, creative, or quite luxurious. Taurus Suns naturally have an acute awareness of the arts, or in general, the finer things in life.
Yet, what sets them apart from your overwrought stereotypes and tropes on Taurus being materialistic - is that Taurus is an earth sign, anchored in the innate need to work and do everything - often - entirely on their own.
Their biggest hardship and at times downfall is their pride - however, what needs to clear and understood about a Taurus Sun - is that from an early age, they've learned they must simply do things on their own to have the life they want for themselves. It's not that they are incapable of asking for help, it's that they simply didn't (often) grow up in an environment that encouraged them to be able to. Material things and status for them isn't so much a symbol to prove their worth - but often to prove their ability to go after what they want.
You must learn when navigating a Taurus Sun person, the juxtaposition with them is that they enjoy and can spot the finer things in life - but they are not defined by them. They literally take the $100.00+ earrings off of them and hand them to a friend who complimented them. Taurus is often an enigmatic person who leaves people mystified with how they can outdress everyone in the room, but have the laidback and easygoing disposition to never actually make anyone feel less than. Unlike (more) stereotypes of them being stubborn bulls, they take much time and gentle care to truly sit back and learn or assess all of their information or resources. If they're getting to know certain people, they will spend many hours conversing with them, or many months - getting to know them, before they form an opinion.
Where people often confuse a Taurus's immovable stubbornness is perhaps after the Taurus Sun person has rolled up their sleeves and fully immersed themselves in the complete immersion of studying the ins and outs of a topic, person, or situation before they come to a conclusion. A Taurus Sun person's mind is truly fascinating, because not only is it incredibly important for them to make their OWN decisions/understandings about a situation. But, they need to have every receipt, fact, book, or statement on a situation before they speak.
However, once they've taken their TIME to fully assess or hear out all sides of an argument, or topic, or gain a true understanding of a person's character. Hell hath no fury like a Taurus Sun willing to speak their truth on the matter.
Taurus Suns are FIXED for a reason, meaning they are immovable once their mind has been made up. This is not to say they can be immovable after having made up their mind - but people are quick to trivialize why they stand on their beliefs and opinions so firmly.
Taurus Suns do their due diligence, and you will rarely see a Taurus Sun just jumping on a band wagon to post an immediate fleeting thought on a trending TikTok controversy. They'll either have a personal experience to attest to, or know the subject matter intimately.
I often think Taurus Suns (speculatively) are used to feeling overlooked or spoken over, either in their childhood or in social situations growing up. Because they are natural observers, this can be why they slowly grow into more passionate individuals. Taurus Sun people are incredibly sensitive and delicate individuals who don't always feel they have room to be treated this way - so as they gain more wisdom they may become more vocal or willing to stand up for themselves. But, this was not always the case for them.
So when navigating or encountering the complexities of a Taurus Sun person, keep in mind these are multilayered people, and you cannot pigeonhole them into one box so easily. They care deeply about the people and things that matter to them, because they take the TIME to understand the inner workings of the people/situations around them. All they hope is that people can take equal measure and care to reciprocate this level of devotion and patience they extend to quite literally everyone they cross paths with.

oof you're right about the Twitter astro community but it's harder to find posts on Tumblr about the topic that i'm interested in so i always end up on Twitter :(
idk i never get my astro info from twitter just because its so unreliable. ive found so many twitter “astrologers” who have been found guilty of plaigarizing their astro readings or using the same ones for other people. im just super cautious. researching online ( i feel) would answer your question more. but this is simply my opinion love ! if you find good information off of twitter im happy for u. its just a rare find for me.
#idk its super repetitive#just the same posts over and over#but i wish i could find good stuff#i cannot stand milkstrology tbh#her youtube posts on how tumblr astrology isnt good when shes plagiarized her readings and spreads misinformation on twitter#not a fan

Hello! The series of asks you've been answering got me thinking about it, and I was wondering where you'd recommend starting re: astrology? I've done a little bit of research on my own-- for instance, when you said you can't have the same sun/moon, I tried looking that up, and just got hopelessly lost. It's really interesting, and I WANT to understand, but there's just so much conflicting information out there that I don't even know where to begin.
but you CAN have the same sun and moon sign!
i'd recommend books?? the signs by carolyne faulkner is a very good one! she explains everything little by little! (:
#i couldnt afford books for me back in the day so i'd follow astrologers!#also check @astrolocherry!! very good blog with lots of information#OO AND AND#@rudeastrology and @milkstrology on twitter

How did you get so good at astrology, do you have any tips ? I’m new to astrology and I want to learn more and be able to read people charts.
hey 💖🤍 I’m actually still learning myself, so I’m flattered that you think I’m good at it! I’ve been interested in astrology for ages before finally deciding to start learning myself, so definitely have a few tips!
-firstly, when starting with astrology try not to feel daunted or overwhelmed; don’t pressure yourself or put expectations on yourself to learn absolutely everything straight away. astrology is complex (in a good way!) and there is a lot to learn, but it is so interesting/insightful and should be fun! take learning at your own pace and don’t compare your level of knowledge to that of someone who has been learning for a long time. I’ve learned so much more since I started learning for fun than when I started and felt like I had so much to learn/would never be able to know what everything meant. enjoying learning helps a lot!
-there are so many resources that are usually just a google search away! astrolibrary and alwaysastrology are good places to start learning, and astrocharts is a great chart generator
-if you prefer reading/owning a physical book to learn from, ‘star power’ by vanessa montgomery is a good introduction (it’s also a really nice looking book too lol)
-I wrote an astrology basics post and a chart reading guide today, maybe they might help? :)
-looking into the charts/placements for yourself, friends and family is very helpful and interesting. this allowed me to discover similarities and differences between most placements/signs and allowed me to relate them to people I actually know, which really helps with remembering and understanding, so I’d definitely recommend asking for people’s birth dates, times and locations if you can. but definitely start with your own chart as it’s so interesting to learn about yourself and it’ll give you a deeper understanding and respect for the placements in your chart!
-write notes and add to them as you go! this has allowed me to have a solid understanding of certain placements as every time I learn something new, I go back and add to my notes and therefore refresh my knowledge each time
-you don’t necessarily always need to be ‘studying’ astrology to learn; even following astrology accounts on social media and viewing related content on there may be useful! I love @/milkstrology and @/astrobebs on twitter if you use it, and there are loads of resources on youtube if you prefer to listen to/watch info
hope this helps, sorry if I went a lil overboard lmao! feel free to ask any other questions if you ever have any ☁️

What happened with @milkstrology???
Essentially nothing, she's still an amazing astrology account and a good person.
But she made a very bold statement that I don't agree with and find very childish for her to make.
Everyone is entitled to having an opinion on twin flames and soulmates. You're allowed to have the opinion you have and you don't have to explain yourself for having it.
However, I think before you come to a full opinion, you should do extensive research on the subject before having an opinion on it.
Someone in her comments section explained it very well, and even offered that Twitter's version of twin flames is horribly flawed. But it's very obvious by Milkstrology's comments that she hasn't done the research and is already set with this opinion.
Again, she's done nothing wrong, we just don't agree on this and it's backwards thinking like this that I'm trying to stay away from. So I unfollowed to save myself from seeing similar posts like this.
We all have opinions and we don't always have to agree with each other. But posts like this really hurt anyone who is just learning about topics like this. It puts a negative stigma on it and doesn't leave room for any of the positive that happens in a union with twin flames.
TLDR: Have your opinion, it's cool we don't agree. But always do research on things before coming to the opinion you have and be mindful of what you're posting.

What is in your opinion the best way to learn astrology? I've always been curious about it but when I start to try and read the basic in my own astral chart I feel so lost and overwhelmed
Omg it’s SO SO overwhelming I totally get it, I would say start with what you feel comfortable with
So I started googling my chart like: planets in a sign (Moon in Pisces), then other placements (Pisces Rising), then planets in houses (Sun in 8th house), then aspects (Sun sextile Jupiter)
And then when I was confused I would google like: What does Jupiter mean in astrology? What do the houses mean? What do the aspects mean? It’s a lot of googling haha
Also following astrology twitter helped me a lot too (@sinfulpluto, @milkstrology, @nubiantarot, @astrobebs, etc)
Just break it down into what you’re comfortable with and find your way through, you’ll get there :)

if we are using whole house system: why is aries never talked about in the sense of constantly needing to break themselves apart in order to build themselves back up in a stronger more refined version... they are constantly adapting and falling to ash to rise again. and i don’t think this is talked about enough bc we are so focused on scorpio energy being the “Phoenix that rises from the ashes” but aries energy is sawing off the parts of yourself you cherish most to stitch on stronger and sturdier versions of those in the long haul
