I ran track, and field all throughout college In some crappy running shoes. One of my friends recently recommended @altrarunning shoes so gave them a shot. These are awesome!! I knocked out a 12:30 two mile yesterday with ease, and felt great after. Lillie had many belongings that she cherished, but there was one that sat above all the rest.

Her script, from her first job as a weather girl. Back then, she’d just been a small time actress who knew so little about weather reports that she had to read everything off of a teleprompter. It was nerve wracking and awkward, but she had managed to get through it without too many hiccups.

She came into the job thinking it would be some one time gig, but little did she know that it was after this moment in life that she would find and start on the road to pursuing her true passion--- meteorology.

These old scripts were a reminder of that time, and the long journey she’s taken to get to where she is now. She’d grown so much as an actress and meteorologist since that time, and she had plenty of more growing to do.

She says this with her characteristically bright smile, after having been asked -- once again -- if the pressure of the job had been too much for her. Although her rather developed figure, granted to her by puberty and an influx of teenage hormones, said otherwise... she was merely a young girl, working as a waitress at the age of sixteen.

Not only was she young, but Felicity was a kind and gentle soul--- hardly the type of person that could juggle the stressful and chaotic work of a restaurant worker, let alone the anxiety of having to deal with unruly customers, or the harassment they would occasionally direct at the servers.

Especially well endowed ones like her.

But no matter how disgusted and frightened she was of the suggestive comments and leering gazes from men who were probably twice her age, the way her body developed and attracted attention, or the classmates from school who would see her working, and then proceed to spread untruthful and mean-spirited rumors about her... Felicity always wore that same bright smile on her face, and worked as hard as she could.

She wanted to raise her own money, so she wouldn’t be as dependent on her parents. So she wouldn’t be a burden on her mother and father, who gave so much of themselves to care for her. Felicity wanted to be independent, and strong enough to break out and follow her dreams. To be someone they could truly be proud of, and finally see...

Felicity wanted to be something to people. Something meaningful. Not the ‘cute girl’, or the ‘food lover’, or any other name people made up for her. Not some shallow object of affection or ridicule. She was sick and tired of all the judgments thrown her way. Not just the bad ones--- all of them. Why couldn’t people take the time to know her for who she was, and stop forcing whatever their perceptions of her were?

Cute. Hot. Easy. Food Lover. Boring. Bland. Airhead. Ditzy---

She hated it.

But she smiles, and acts like she doesn’t. Acts as if what people thought of her didn’t matter to her, even though it did. Because if she showed that side of herself, it would just become one more judgment, right?

Equipment

With her increased training, Iris thought it was overdue that she properly equip herself. She did a little looking around, first - a little window shopping, to decide what she wanted, and where she could best locate it. Which meant, in the end, going to multiple shops. But she didn’t mind! It was quite promising, and she was looking forward to having the equipment on hand, especially should any... special challenges arise.

What people normally saw was the bubbly, sweet, and amazingly capable TV personality, Lillie Springfield. Charismatic and popular, she had been able to amass fans from all over with her cuteness and natural charm. In the eyes of many (particularly her very.... energetic fan club), she was the perfect girl who could do no wrong.

And while it flattered her, to be liked and appreciated by so many people, that wasn’t who she was at all. The cheery, ‘perfect’ girl was just the persona she was able to show within the limited confines of television, and most people weren’t able to see Lillie for who she actually was.

A down-to-earth girl who loved nature hikes and dips in the river, could get a little reckless at times, and dropped everything to help others and take care of her family. A girl who got incredibly awkward around men, because she’d grown up mostly around women, and went to an all-girls school. A girl who, despite her appeal and popularity, had never dated anyone in her life, because she was still holding out for that Right™ person.

But of course, not a lot of people knew that Lillie. They just knew Lillie Springfield, the talented actress and weather girl that they idolized.

A soft sigh passes through Felicity’s lips as she looks at the scarce few gold coins inside her purse. She then glances over to her hotel room bed, where several new dresses and outfits lay.

Once again, she’d blown almost her entire travel expenses on clothes.

Even worse, she would be having to pay her room fee soon, as well as the fee for transportation, once it was time for her to move on to her next job assignment. And! Not to mention the money she would be needing for the restaurants she would be going to review. 

She really needed to curb this impulse spending habit of hers, but… those cute dresses had been so hard to resist… she would have done the exact same for food, which probably wasn’t better, but could she really be blamed for wanting to partake in nice things!?

Oh, well. There were still a few days left before she was slated to leave, so maybe she would use that time taking up some odd jobs around town…
