it’s a line from one of the most incredible scenes of all-time -- the backseat soul baring that jesse and celine have in before sunset (2004), nine years after they met and fell in love in before sunrise (1995), where jesse confesses that he used to dream about touching her ankle and waking up next to his wife in sobs. one of the most terribly romantic things i’ve ever heard. 

my girlfriend and i have an inside thing related to that scene that i don’t want to get into, for obvious reasons, and that’s what the majority of the ankle posts are about.

Pride month came early

I took a trip to NYC to say goodbye to Phantom (for those curious, YES I was there for Jeremy Stolle’s final performance as the Phantom and the technical difficulties), and I also got to see the 1000th performance of Hadestown (where I sat directly behind and met Andre de Shields), and got to see Jinkx Monsoon in Chicago.

Also @militarizedsubconscious and I got to meet in person and see Phantom together, which was absolutely delightful and such a highlight of the trip!!!

Other highlights included Brooklyn Bridge, The MoMA, The Stonewall Inn, The Strand Bookstore, and lots of incredible food.
