How can I have the majority of electricity runs off of electric eels? What's needed? I suppose the eels will be selectively bred and genetically modified to produce a lot more electricity as well as a much higher eel population. Or maybe if not always actual eels, if they can produce biotech they can recreate the electricity generating organs?
Feral: There are more electric fish than just the electric eel, but the electric eel is one in the strongly electric category. However, although they can deliver a shock at over 600 volts of electrical pressure, it’s only with significantly less than 1 ampere of current. (for reference, a typical US home uses 100-200 amps) Although that voltage is deadly when delivered directly, it’s meant as localized shock that dissipates through the water. 
If you think of the electricity like water through a hose, the voltage will push the water out incredibly forcefully but the actual amount is like a tablespoon’s worth - it’s going to be over very quickly and not go very far. It does seem that the amperage increases when the eel is out of the water and directly touching a conductor (to a whole 43 miliamperes), but that’s not really sustainable for a fish and won’t do much to solve the distance problem anyway. And speaking of sustainability, at that 43 miliamp current, they would have to sustain the electric shock for nearly 39 hours to get a single kilowatt-hour of energy. You can see that the Tennessee Aquarium hooked up some Christmas tree lights to their eel tank, but it’s not sustained power and it’s only Christmas tree lights, which don’t require that much power anyway.
You can increase amperage by reducing resistance and/or increasing conductivity. An eel’s internal resistance is 960 ohms, 184x the resistance of a 12 gauge copper wire, and I don’t know what you could do about that without harming the electrical eel, which relies on internal resistance to protect itself.. So, you could wrap the fish in gold wires extending out of the tank and/or mess around with magnets. None of these options will be particularly ethical ways to treat the fish. Regardless, so, so many electric eels, technobabble, and some handwavium will absolutely be required to provide the electrical power (wattage) you’re looking for.

"... is built in a vintage Sterling Power Meter-- probably the most perfect dual pedal repurposed enclosure I have ever come across. Both meters were originally part of this thing. I didn't have to cover up any of the original lettering and the original holes for the probes worked perfectly for the controls on the pedal. ...   I made the custom acid etched labels with a bit of a worn look for a better match to this 60 year old enclosure and adapted these cool knobs to make them work on this pedal. The meters both work-- though they aren't real smooth in their travel across the scale. The Volt meter travels to about 1 o'clock on the dial as you turn up  the volume and the miliamp meter travels about 80% of the way across the meter. ... The Wylie Boost gets its name from the guy who made the booster that inspired me to start building myself.  The Rangemaster clone that Wylie Gelber (bassist of the band Dawes) built in a repurposed enclosure with a vintage meter on top is used extensively by bandmate Taylor Goldsmith. This Deluxe version contains both the Germanium boost circuit and a Jfet boost circuit.            The Wylie Boost is a Germanium transistor boost, (in the tradition of the original Rangemaster), but with my own circuit topology. Powered by the mysterious NOS black "top-hat" germanium transistor, the Wylie incorporates additional controls for gain and tone along with overall volume. ... the circuit is built on turret board ... But unlike a lot of early Germanium powered pedals, this one runs off a standard tip-negative power supply.   The Germanium transistor has a unique sound. It's a boost, but it is by no means clean---unless you want it to be. Due to the circuit's low input impedance, it is very responsive to guitar volume control. Rolling back the guitar volume will clean up the signal and add a little sparkle."

Boutique Offerings
A little something came in the mail for Sarah, today - a Playdate; a little handheld console jointly designed by an indie publisher and a well-known designer cabinet. Coming from Panic and Teenage Engineering, the Playdate sort of feels like the Game Boy's trendier cousin with a strange protuberance on the right side. Said protrusion is, in fact, a crank mechanism.
In its simplest form, this is pretty much the Anti-Steam Deck. It's just as open-source, mind you - but it really doesn't cater to freaks like me who see gaming handhelds and think "How could I co-opt it for my Very Serious Job?". It instead speaks to people who, like Sarah, have a massive itch.io library and who dabble in weekend games coding. The end-result is a distinctly indie-feeling handheld, with specs that would've been relevant back when the GameBoy Color was first announced and a screen that bucks all modern design trends by providing no backlight whatsoever. It's also aggressively yellow, laughing in the face of most of its bigger competitors' focus on piano blacks and iDevice whites. Pair it with its little purple magnetic sleeve cover and you've got something that instantly stands out on her nightstand - or our fridge's bigger door. Linus Tech Tips' Emily asserts that the battery is about 41000 miliamp-hours, with the hardware's demands being so low I don't have much trouble imagining a single full charge lasting a month.
The library's a bit of an oddball, seeing as the first-year titles are all part of a content drop system that was staggered at about two titles per week. If you'd paid for the device or owned a Playdate account, you got two free games every two weeks, essentially. One year later, they've added the Catalog to the console's firmware, allowing for on-device browsing and downloading of a curated selection. Anything else can be side-loaded by any good PC and USB-C cable, and itch.io seems to be loaded for bear with hundreds of community-curated titles. Everything feels appreciably bite-sized, in the understanding that this isn't a console for sweeping narrative epics, but rather one for pick-up-and-play experiences. That's left a mark on the games' tone, seeing as while the Playdate can produce a full range of sounds, designers tend to constrict themselves to eight-bit beeps and boops and even to Game-N-Watch LCD-like effects.
Tonally, it's a bit all over the place - and not always in the hardware's favor. I've seen Doom clones and Match-3 games, pared-down point-and-clicks (or crank-and-selects, as it were), Pokémon knockoffs where the crank handles the Z-axis, wholesale lifts from California Games or other minigame compilations... There's a ton of games with a lot of soul, and also several cases of "Baby's first vidya" with boilerplate mechanics thrown at you.
You're not so much buying hardware, in a sense, as you're buying an Indie platform, complete with a LUA scripting environment, access to Panic's own backend tools and everything you'd need to project your Playdate's screen on a bigger panel, for the sake of recording or streaming footage. It's all designed to feel playful and approachable, in opposition to Valve's very mature, "you're all enthusiasts and we know it" approach to hardware.
The biggest drive the Playdate has, however, has got to be its size and simplicity. There's no complex button arrangement, the crank mechanism feels intuitive to anyone who's ever turned a handle in the past - and unlike the Deck or even several of its Windows-based competitors, it's wholly and truly portable. It's small enough to bulge just a little in a jeans pocket and to more or less disappear in a blazer's interior pockets.
The Deck is something you schlep over for long staycations in a single place where you'll lounge in a couch while plunking away, while you could conceivably bring the Playdate out to the DMV without drawing too much attention.
That said, I wish Panic had taken cues from Apple and allowed users to select from a variety of shell colors, upon ordering. Sarah loves the thing's bright yellow tone, while I would've gone with blues or reds.
Will I get one for myself? Eh, probably not. I'll probably swipe it from her bedside table on occasion, however, for the sake of having something to twiddle with while in one of our dogpiles. I'm glad it exists, though - there's an obvious market for handhelds that eschew the weird, useless need to cater to the AAA market.

Hey! I have a sort-of-medical fanfiction question that I can't seem to find the answer to through independent research. I'm writing a modern AU fic that requires me to find a way for a character to have Lichtenberg Figure scars, but however much Googling I do, I can't seem to find anything online about how one can get those except being struck by naturally occurring lightning. Is it possible to get Lichtenberg Figures from artificial/deliberate electric shocks, such as electroshock torture?

The idea of giving characters lichtenberg figure-shaped scars as a permanent reminder of torture is a very poetic and could be really cool. Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues with it medically.

First let’s talk a little about keraunographic markings, or lichtenberg-figure-shaped lightning “burns.” We don’t *definitively* know what causes them, but based on similar marks observed from static electricity on photographic paper, they’re probably made when a cascade of electrons hit a person at just the right angle to track over skin, which appears to pull iron-containing red blood cells out of the capiliaries toward the skin surface. The cells discolor the skin, and a day or so later the trauma also produces fine blisters. The path the electrons take naturally forms the cool, feathery pattern.
They’re fairly rare, but can happen whether the lightning strike caused any other injury (you can be simply standing next to a lightning strike and get one, or you can be directly struck and not get one).
Keraunographic markings also aren’t permanent- generally they only last a few days and the longest they last is about a month. While there may be some scarring from the blisters and a slightly longer period of skin discoloration, the pattern itself will eventually fade (if I had one I would totally get it tattoo’d over).
I also looked and could not find evidence of keraunographic markings from things other than lightning (there was at least one case of lightning traveling through the electrical wiring of a building and causing it). Based on what I’ve read for this post and my other posts on lightning and electricity, I don’t think it would be possible to get keraunographic markings from electrical torture devices.
In terms of hurting someone with electricity, you need volts to get through a person andamps (current) to create damage. The ideal torture device would have high voltage to be able to arc through human tissue, but really low amperage, because you don’t need more than a few miliamps to cause severe pain, and any more than that can cause severe damage or death. For reference, products like tazers and cattle prods can discharge up to 50,000 volts, but only a few miliamps in order to minimize long-term damage.
Now, I invite anyone to correct me if I’m wrong (I know very little about physics), but based on what I’ve read for this and other electricity-themed medical posts, you’d need a fairly high amperage in order to create the electron “wash” that causes the keraunographic markings. Lightning, which could impart 30,000 amps in a (billion-volt) strike would be able to generate that wash, but something pushing only a few miliamps would not.
