Whoa whoa whoa whaaattt a weekend! We had a total BLAST playing @australianmusicweek in Cronulla. Met two Aussie legends (@paulkellyofficial and @nathan_cavaleri), saw some absolutely awesome bands, heckled our man @thedocrocktor during his panel talk, swam, ate and drank, and had the time of our lives.
Massive shout out to Ron and his crew at @studios301 who let us shake out the pre-show jitters. Phew! Thanks for having us @australianmusicweek !!

Seems a tad ironic that we’d release a new single called ‘Keep it Warm’ on the day of the Global Climate Strike… 🤨...but Keep it Warm is about keeping the fire in your belly burning bright 🔥 Not letting the system get you down 👊. We hit the Melbourne Global Climate Strike march yesterday and already feel our fires burning stronger. Until the next march, sit back and enjoy this new tune of ours which is a “rollicking folk-punk number that starts off as a meandering alt. country-rock ballad before it crescendos into a blazin', head-banging, psych-groove monster.” – Scenestr. Give it a spin on Spotify, Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Youtube, Google Play, and everywhere else good music is found. We hope you love it! Yowzer! We're playing Bowlopalooza on October 12 at the Thornbury Bowls Club (Melbourne for you non-Melburnians) if you feel like a boogie. Can't make it? No worries - sit back and enjoy one of our BBJ sessions. Big hugs!

Our new song You're Never Alone is out today. Now. RIGHT NOW! Give it a spin on Spotify, Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Youtube, Google Play, Soundcloud and everywhere else good music is found.
What's it all about you ask? Well... “The world is a crazy place at the moment and it’s hard not to feel disheartened and anxious about what’s happening. Climate change, the growing global disparity between the rich and poor, the weakening of democratic institutions, mass pollution – it’s overwhelming. You’re Never Alone Is that voice that says ‘I’m overwhelmed too, and though I can’t make it better for you, I am here with you’” - Lou
We hope you love it!
Big hugs,
Miles Recommends

Help when you’re in the
If you had any doubts about what our single Darkness is about, you probably wouldn’t after watching the film clip. Christy is an awesome actor but depression is real and sadly, pretty common. We’ve had some questions about it pitched at us we figured we needed to ask someone more qualified than us to talk about how to get help. Enter our amazing friend Bree, a qualified social worker and counselor, who happily agreed to do a little write-up for us so that anyone listening to the song or watching the film clip and feeling like it’s all-too familiar can get the help they need. This isn’t a paid post, just a small bit of info from a place of big love. Take care of each other, and yourself xoxo. .......
Many of us are in the dark and sadly, the darkness of depression is a common experience. It’s non-discriminating, ruthless, and all-consuming. It can strike any of us, at any time.
Depression is an illness. Depression is not a choice. It’s not something people can simply ‘snap out of’. It is an illness like any other physical illness, just like asthma or diabetes. Depression can be triggered by stress, illness, significant life events, genetics, and even pregnancy. It is often a combination of biological, psychological and social sources of stress which impact normal brain functioning and lead to a range of behavioural and physical symptoms. Symptoms can include:
Lack of energy and motivation
Fatigue
Changes to eating habits and weight
Irritability
Loss of interest in usual activities
Isolation and changed behaviour
Affected sleep
Persistent sadness or crying
Ruminating thoughts
Feelings of hopelessness
Once depression has taken hold, it may feel like you will never emerge from the darkness. But you can! Research shows medication and talk therapy (counselling) can stabilise brain function and help to manage the symptoms associated with depression. Please open the door on your darkness – there are lots of support options available to help bring light back into your world. You can even start reaching out online until you feel able to talk or see someone in person. So, don’t put it off any longer… there is someone waiting to help you out of the darkness.

It’s been a massive month, from an epic trip to Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia where we played music, drank a lot of beer and got a hearty dose of food poisoning, to dropping our real-life-hold-in-your-hand version of our EP Extended Play, and then to find ourselves played across radio in Australia and the US, placing on some epic top ten lists (including the Radio Indie Alliance top 10 and the listeners top ten on Indie Rock Cafe) and the famous 4ZZZ Radio’s top 20 list. Are we excited? Juuusssstttt a little ;-)...
