the version of toritsuka in my head and in the heads of a lot of the people in this fandom is way less bad than canon (it’s called a headcanon), and i happen to really like the guy in my head, that’s why i say he was done dirty lol. you might not like him and you might not like this ship but that has nothing to do with me

mikosuka drabble under the cut

For the most part, it was the little things that Mikoto missed.

  The porcelein skin, much softer than his own, ghosting under his hands, causing ripples of joy to flow through his body at the slightest touch.

  Maybe the bright smiles that always awaited his return from certain outings. The one that made Mikoto's heart twist in affection and a small smile tug at his lips.

  Or, perhaps the light sound of his songs, drifting through the bar like birds fleeing from captivity, spreading their delicately feathered wings and soaring like nothing anyone had ever seen before.

  Yes, that was it.

  Mikoto missed the sound of him the most.

  Whether it was a small laugh, a simple greeting, or even just the simple sound of Mikoto's name, the mere memory of it sent the Red King aching in want and desire to be in his company again. His hands ached for the other ones -- the ones that fit so much, like the exact shape of a puzzle peice -- in his. His arms yearned to wrap around him, hold him close.

  Hold him safe, safe from the danger that Mikoto had failed to protect him from. The danger that, if Mikoto had been more aware of, and had possibly stopped him from exiting the bar that night, could have missed him completely.

  God, did he miss him.

Existence

Mikosuka(Mikoto/Totsuka) drabble. I had too many feels after episode 6 ;w ;

Summary:  "You're a King. Your powers are not meant for destruction. They exist to protect. I guarantee that." Those were the words he had used to assure him.

"You're a King. Your powers are not meant for destruction. They exist to protect. I guarantee that."  

Mikoto woke up, startled by the words echoing in his head. Eyelashes fluttering and forehead scrunched in a frown, Mikoto pushed himself to a sitting position on the cot. The thing was uncomfortable to say the least;however it's not as if SCEPTER4 would treat him with anything but hostility.

Mikoto grasped his face with his hands, and let out a frustrated sigh thinking back to Munakata's warning. He dropped his hands, and slumped against the wall behind him – accidentally bumping his recent piercing on it. A sharp hiss escaped between Mikoto's lips.  

He had his in the same place.  

Tilting his head back towards the ceiling, eyes falling shut, Mikoto murmured out loud into the empty cell,

"My powers aren't meant for destruction, huh...

But, Totsuka...Tell me, what do I do when the very person they exist to protect is gone?"

Yes this was all a ruse to spread the mikosuka (mikotori? Mikorei?) agenda, I love the hcs in the tags they're so adorable so true!! And yes Tori is more than just a creep (he's a weirdooo)
