On October 29, 1992, the Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror III" aired. This time it was Homer who warned the audience about the episode being scary with a nod to the old "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" intros. The wrap-around segments involved Lisa, Grandpa, and Bart telling a story while at a Halloween party. The three segments were "Clown Without Pity" (based on the Twilight Zone episode "Living Doll" with touches of "Child's Play" and "Gremlins"), "King Homer" (based on the original "King Kong") and "Dial 'Z' for Zombies" (based on "Pet Cemetery" and various zombie movies like "Living Dead" franchise).

I've learned from this article names of other people that should have also been on the sub instead of the teenager are:
1) Wendy Rush, Stockton's dumbass wife 2) OceanGate's piece of shit lawyer, Thomas Gilman 3) Dave Dyer, a principal engineer 4) Scott Griffith, director of logistics and "quality assurance" 5) Some greedy ex Coast Guard dumbfuck named John Lockwood 6) Travel Weekly Editor, Arnie Weissmann ("mission specialist") 7) Craig Curran of DePrez Travel Bureau ("mission specialist") 8) Mike Reiss the Simpson's writer ... ("mission specialist") Fuck each and every one of these people for their role in validating a shitty human being's deadly delusions.
oh my god this New Yorker article about the Titan holy fucking shit fuck???

When a young inventor named Ned realizes he doesn't have anything for show-and-tell, he whips up something unique from the odds and ends in his closet. The result is "Ned's Mix-Up Ray," a device that scrambles the letters in a word, changing the object into something else entirely. It's bad enough that he changes his AUNT into a TUNA and the PEAS and GRAPES at the local grocer's into APES with PAGERS. But when he uses the device on his classmates (BRIAN becomes a disembodied BRAIN and poor KRISTEN turns into a STINKER), he pushes things too far.

Gelesen: Springfield Confidential
Leider insgesamt kein empfehlenswertes Werk.
Mike Reiss, Mathew Klickstein, Michelle Crowe (Ill.), Manfred Allié (Übers.), Gabriele Kempf-Allié (Übers.)Springfield Confidential: Alles über die Simpsons – Hinter den Kulissen der gelbsten Serie der Welt. Heyne Verlag, 384 Seiten, Paperback 15,00 €, E-Book 11,99 € [D].
