And Eren broke down from grief, remembering his mother's words that he had to be strong to protect Mikasa, and thinking that he failed? But Mikasa, thinking this was their last moment alive, told him that he hadn't failed, because he did protect her and continued to inspire her to keep living and moving forward no matter what? Thanking him for saving her and giving her a new purpose in life, wanting those to be her last words before they both die? And Eren was so moved by her words that he refused to die, refused to give up, and activated the power within him to control Titans, kill the Smiling Titan and save Mikasa? And this made Ymir realize that Eren possessed the Coordinate, meaning Historia did have a future within the Walls and no longer needed Ymir to protect her? And then Ymir booped Historia's head in a tender goodbye, told her she's sorry, and left to save Reiner and Bertholdt because they saved her from decades of being trapped in nightmarish mental torture, and she was so selfless and self-hating that she felt indebted to return the favour and give back her borrowed life? And Historia's stunned expression as Ymir left her, her desperate hands reaching out for her, wanting to go after her, so Connie literally had to drag her horse back by the reigns? And the soundtrack that started playing was a lullaby sung by children, over the surviving Scouts' escape but also Reiner, Bertholdt, and Ymir's, because at the end of the day, they were ALL just children forced to be soldiers and this entire situation was a horrible tragedy and they all deserved better?

"Mikasa is more beautiful told from Eren's perspective" you know who else is more beautiful told from another character's perspective rather than Armin? Marco Bott.

- while Armin was there, he's been in shock during the whole talk up until Mikasa showed up (which is right after Marco says this). That means someone else told Armin what happened exactly and that's most likely Jean. You can literally see the lost hope in Marco's eyes, an extra detail I doubt anyone else would've pointed out. But Jean did because he took notice.

- Which brings me here, because I doubt Armin paid that much attention to the other cadets at the start. Not enough to point out the hope and admiration in someone's eyes to such a detail. However Jean was standing right next to Marco and took notice of it.

- This one is just me seeing things because this is most likely from Armin's memory of the moment, but Jean was right there and I want to think he's the one seeing Marco like this. It would explain that shining hope in Marco's eyes, something that doesn't show often (and when an emotion shows clearly in Marco's eyes, is usually from Jean's perspective not Armins)

- this WHOLE ASS MOMENT and that shining hope and admiration in Marco's eyes. But especially the moment when Marco talks badly about himself (mentioning he's slow) and when he talks about Jean being a better leader- he looks different than other moments. Is like that's when Jean sees Marco like more than just his best friend. At his lowest and at his brightest. When there's no hope in those eyes and when they're shining with hope.

- And do not let me forget this masterpiece and how Marco's eyes might lack their hope, but there's that soft smile on his face too. Marco also looks even better here, like his beauty in Jean's eyes aged like fine wine. It got better and better with the passing of time, rather than dying away.

This was supposed to be me pointing out Marco's moments told by Jean, but it ended up in me pointing out just how obsessed Jean is with Marco's eyes ups. Didn't notice until now.

It wasn't really stated when Eren developed feelings for Mikasa, honesty that confession scene with Armin felt forced.

And I always thought and saw Eren as being dense on romance in general. More interesting in fighting and killing than looking at girls

Yeah exactly. One of my main gripes with the shitty rushed finale is this out of nowhere love that Eren allegedly has for Mikasa.

Where did it come from? Where were the hints? How can you possibly tell me that he loved her romantically?

Don't get me wrong I don't think two characters have to aggressively blush at each other for 3 seasons straight before believing they like one another, but this plot twist is bullshit.

After the time skip Eren got more and more distant from his friends as a result of his future memories and the genocide he was destined to commit. He knew Armin and Mikasa wouldn't understand him, so he kept them at arm's length.

When it comes to Mikasa in particular, he showed a lot of irritation towards her, for how she constantly babied him throughout their lives.

I mean come on have you read chapter 112?

( I know he didn't mean it, but still, that's a pretty fucked up thing to say to a person you love.)

Trust is also one of the most important aspects of any relationship. And Eren never trusted Armin and Mikasa with pretty much anything post time skip, which is specifically why he pushed them away!

His love for her has always been platonic, so much so that in an interview from a few years ago Isayama said that their relationship was similar to that of a mother with her child.

But I guess Yams kinda forgot how Eremika worked for 130+ chapters uh?

That confession scene wasn't just forced, it was pathetic. It completely erased who Eren was as a character and replaced him with the cheapest copy on sale at Walmart.

(It's been three years and I'm still salty about that panel how is that possible?)

When it comes to Eren and the concept of romance, well.. Yeah pre time skip he was kinda dense, in the typical Shonen protagonist way, buut after the time jump you can clearly see that it's no longer the case from the convo with Falco in Liberio. Pre time skip Eren would have never reached that conclusion.

(Wow, it's almost as if he understands Falco's struggle of not wanting a girl he loves getting titanized, I wonder if it's supposed to mean anything, uhhh.)

I feel like not many people know Armin is actually older than Eren and Mikasa but cus his birthday is in November they're the same age for most of the year

Armins birthday is November 3rd, 834

Mikasas birthday is feburary 10th, 835

Erens birthday is March 30th, 835

It makes sense to assume Armin is the youngest not only cus his birthday is in November but also cus the others seem to take care of him but Eren's actually the baby of the trio♡
