It’s EXTREMELY hard to beat the Makishima arc but season 2 of Psycho Pass really cranks up the body horror and gore and general creepiness. Like the Rika arc had me tweaking but the whole face transplant and folks just getting bulleted and dominated to bits is WOW. Both seasons are pretty great yes I still kinda hate Mika.

the clock strikes nine just as the knob to your front door turns, the little bird in the wooden device chirping out the counts at precise intervals. the creaks of the door are not loud, yet they still have you jolting awake from your impromptu after-shower nap. 

“sorry, did we wake you?” a very familiar voice whispers into the dark from near the hallway. kaeya’s back! you realize, rubbing the sleep from your eyes.

you shake your head, closing the book that lays open on your lap. “no, no. i just dozed off.” you laugh it off, smiling at your boyfriend and at klee, who’s dozing off comfortably in kaeya’s arms. she stirs when he moves a little too abruptly. 

“hey, it’s okay, you can go back to sleep.” he coos softly, patting her head. he sets her down on the couch, gently laying her head on a cushion.

“we had a little too much fun in sumeru,” he tells you after he’s made sure she’s sound asleep, pulling you close and wrapping his arms around your waist. “she’s all tired out. albedo’ll be here to take her home soon.”

“i can tell. i love her mage costume.” you squint at his indigo and peacock feather get up. “and you’re supposed to be a…?”

he huffs playfully, pouting. “you can’t tell? i’m a master thief, clearly.”

“the style suits you.” you tap at his lips and his mouth spreads into a grin underneath your fingers, lighting up his entire face. “though, you’re not you without the boob-window. or that fluffy monstrosity you call a cape. it’s characteristic, but unnecessary. ”

he gasps in mock offense. “how could you slander my cape that way? you call it an unnecessary fluffy monstrosity, yet you still steal it when you’re cold, do you not?”

you exhale forcefully through your nose despite your best efforts to keep a straight face. “touché. drama queen.” 

“besides, i was born for this role, you know,” he says, mischief glinting in his periwinkle eye. “after all, did i not manage to steal your heart?” 

you roll your eyes, undoing the peacock feather tie and tugging at the braid he has his hair in to free it. he gives you a fond look, shaking his head to assist once you’ve loosened it enough. azure cascades down his shoulders, a slight wave throughout. “so, master thief kaeya, wearer of feathers, stealer of hearts.” your expression mirrors the still-present grin on his face as you loop your arms around his neck, his hair a silky waterfall on your fingers. “what caper are you chasing next?” 

“since i already have the most precious of hearts in my hands, i believe i need to steal a few kisses to complete my collection, yes?” 

“but good sir, are you sure you’d be satisfied with just a few?”

“oh, haven’t you heard, darling?” you feel his mouth curl into a slow smile against your neck, his voice a caress against your skin.

 “i’m insatiable.”

if you talk to the average conservative voter, they'll always talk about their conservative representative with unabashed enthusiasm. "this guy is supporting my rights!!!!!" even when the representative is very much not supporting their voting constituents' rights in some cases (ie. poor white ppl not realizing they're getting poorer because of their representative)

and I bet that's why conservative candidates are so good at winning. any person listening to their voters only gets a great impression of the candidate.

and if you talk to the average liberal/leftist voter, they all hem and haw. "oh yeah, I voted for them but they're Okay, they're Disappointing. they haven't done this. they haven't done that." and I bet if you fucking pressed them to state some Good Beneficial Legislation they've passed, either the voter 1. can't name any, or 2. has to attach caveats. ("yeah biden passed student loan forgiveness BUT not ALL loans were forgiven")

why aren't we ever excited about incremental progress. why aren't we cheering to the sky about every win. maybe more people would vote if there was genuine excitement, the same type of excitement that conservative voters seem to have about anything labeled "conservative".

I'm just so fucking tired of hearing ppl be like "I'm just disillusioned with my leftist representative" EVERY TIME but are DEAD SILENT on the small victories, the progress. conservatives know how to do this, and that's why they build momentum into the next election. why does this seem impossible for the other side.

I want people to understand that:

"Queer romance does not have to be explicitly stated for it to exist. Even though shu and mika never officially declared their love for each other or never kissed, their character developement and dialogues and stories all show that they are incredibly in love with each other and they do not need to kiss on screen to prove it. Anyone with 2 braincells can see they're in love"

And:

"Homophobia is definitely affecting the way these characters are being written. Queer PDA has always been portrayed as unnatural and if it weren't for homophobia, mika and shu would have kissed a long time ago."

Shadow! I my mom gave me a puppy!

I named her rina, because although it doesn’t have any specific meaning, the name associates with sharp and clever and that’s exactly what her breed is

I had a puppy before her but the older he got the worse his behaviour got, pretty sure he had resource guarding whatever its called, but the guarding was tawards me so I wasn’t able to have anyone in my room or anywhere near me or else he would attack him, i loved him very much and he was a sweetheart, with just me alone and when im out and away from the house, i was told that surrendering him back to the shelter was not my fault, and that i did everything I could for him but i still can’t help but feel like i failed, i failed as mother to him, i failed in training him properly, but i never had help to train him just me, no one wanted to be near him or me, he was avoided like the plaque witch made him worse i was told he had a chance since the place i adopted him from was the shelter and he was part of a huge rescue witch they understood thats how he would become, he wasn’t too bad so maybe they are training him to be better and have him in a foster home, but then again there was also a chance of him being put down, even though i feel like i failed him i loved him dearly and miss him so much, i cry at night thinking of him and, idk having rina makes me feel like i start over, but she isn’t mika, her name used to be skye my mom has had her since she was able to leave her mother, but she’s 6 months old now and i renamed her, hoping it would heal the wound left by my other puppy, no one likes the name rina, i was also told by a family member that said i had a place with their home if i ever needed to leave, but she then told me that im basically throwing my life away for this puppy, I don’t understand how that changes my plans and carreer it seems like they don’t trust me to have a dog after how bad mika got, he was bad to the point he would turn around and attack me for diaplining him but he also was scared of people he trusted me to give him a better like and i failed… thats also why i named him mika, because its one of many meanings meant “new beginnings” everyone said it was girl name but i told them that the name didn’t have a gender and i ended up having to show them proof, my favourite anime character also happened to be nicknamed mika.

i did lie to everyone about how i felt when i got rid of him, i put on this fake smile and happily told everyone i was ok, everyone seemed to beleive me but i let my tears out about it when im alone and in bed, i never even said a proper goodbye to him and it makes me upset to think the last words he heard me say was “its ok, everything will be ok” no bye or anything, if he did get put down i hope his spirit stays around me, or waiting for me atleast and if he didn’t, i hope he is in a better home…

I wish your family was more supportive for you, but alas, unfortunately it doesn't always end up like that.
