First time seeing this 20 year old movie.

I never wanted to see it because It's too schlocky and not much substance for older viewers, but I'm just filling spaces and time today.

The only reason I want to see this is Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini.

The audience is supposed to be on Martin Lawrence's side in A Thin Line Between Love & Hate (1996, Lawrence). That’s so wild.

Darnell's trifling ass keeps pursuing Brandi (Lynn Whitfield) even though she's uninterested and he wants to be with Mia (Regina King). He makes a bet, with Bobby Brown, to sleep with her all because she's "playing hard to get". She tells this man how she's been hurt and abused and she's sensitive, then this nigga says he loves her, just so she'll have sex with him. Meanwhile, Reggie (Miguel Nunez Jr.), a man who is only interested in Mia, actually treats her right, gets tossed aside for Darnell's slimy-ass. Mia tells him she wants to wait to have sex he says "I can respect that." and moves on, while he keeps pressuring and rushing Brandi. At the end of the movie we're supposed to think this womanizer has learned his lesson and is going to be a perfect partner for Mia.

I know for a fact the men who wrote this thought he was the hero and that Brandi was just crazy for no reason and that he didn’t deserve to be fucked with.

I fully support Brandi ruining this niggas life.
