Ok, so since the only hualian fan fics I've enjoyed have been either written by you or one recommended by you I humbly beg you to recommend more! I find it so hard to find fan fics that write those characters with all their nuances. And/or i beseech thee to write more hualian? Im dying of thirst. Hahah <3

THANK YOU KINDLY omg that's incredibly sweet of you to say. hualian's an absolute delight to write and I think the scenes of them in Farmer's Almanac are some of my favorite things I've written to date lolololol. I'm more than happy to write more of them ;; While they're not a prominent part in my upcoming leverage AU they certainly get a moment or two!!

First fic that came to mind—objectification/immobilization kink fic.

Turned out that Hua Cheng kind of had a thing for when Xie Lian pretended he didn't exist.

It's brilliant, hot and specific as hell and my favorite take on post-canon hualian kink to date.

LOVED this fic—canon divergence, princess and the pea retelling.

“Must be a spoilt brat,” Hua Cheng threw out randomly. “Must be utterly incapable of looking after themselves. Must have no useful skills, except ones that might be useful to me.”

Intriguing, entertaining, sweet, and fun!!! I had a very good time with this fic.

I think most people have read this fic but regardless, it's lovely. Post-canon hualian re: their largely glossed-over-by-canon sex life, a character study of how they get from point A to point Dick-in-Ass.

THIIIIIIIIIIIS. Hualian modern breakup AU—I remember being absolutely blown away by the premise. I guess at this point I just need to go read all of trufflehargau's (great name lmfao) hualian fics 'cause they're rocking the characterization game for me. Needy messy codependent San Lang isn't something everyone can pull off but this author absolutely fucking does. I didn't even realize it updated!!!!! I'm gonna read chapter 2 now!!! Aaahhh!!!!!!!

Aaaand speaking of modern AUs—betts' Digging for Orchids. Of fucking course. I reread this frequently. ex-actor!XL and artist!HC. The plot progression mirrors their canon development well, and their dynamic just feels completely in line with canon.

hi! i was curious to ask if you ever wrote mxtx fics. i know it's a stretch, but scrolling through your blog ive seen you like writing and have some saint seiya fics, so i wondered. sorry if this seems out of place, you can ignore this ask if you want!

Because YES, I did write some fics. Although... it's just Tian Guan Ci Fu for now. I was planning on writing two more, one for SVSSS and the other for Mo Dao Zu Shi, but I don't have time to multitask so much.

I tend to write for every single fandom I join, after a while. Most stuff doesn't make it to the beautiful, merciless internet, but you're in luck this time!

All my TGCF fics are on AO3. I don't know if you've read the entire novel yet, but if you haven't yet... I strongly suggest you to finish everything before reading. If you don't mind heavy spoilers it's fine, but if you do, please don't read these before being done with the book.

White Calamity

Rated T

Background Hualian, it's about Xie Lian becoming a Calamity. Aside from the first chapter, the POV is from Feng Xin and Mu Qing. Really angsty, doesn't have a happy ending, and it's filled to the brim with spoilers from book 4.

Flower Crown

Rated T

Minor Hualian, it's the POV of Xie Lian as he becomes as a Calamity and learns how to be a ghost. It's still angsty, but is a bit softer and has a somewhat happy ending (though not exactly filled with joy and butterflies). Again, it's overflowing with spoilers.

The Song Of Earth

Rated T

Focused around Yin Yu, very minor background Hualian. There's some references to Quan Yizhen and Yin Yu's past with him, but it can be read however you want (platonic, romantic, whatever). VERY minor stuff though. Hopeful ending and mildly introspective, is probably not a really "popular" interpretation of Yin Yu.

Crown Prince and Ghost King (ongoing)

Rated E (just for some scenes that not only I marked, but are also skippable if you're not interested in some good ol'fashioned lovemaking)

Canon divergence alert, Hualian got married a couple centuries before canon, and the Black Water Arc happened "off screen" before canon around the same time. It's basically a story retelling (with parts straight from two different translations of the novel, BIG thanks to the amazing souls that translated it) and it has the whole cast in it. Any doubts/other headcanons are explained in the fic itself and in the notes so if you read, please try not to skip them. The general mood/setting is the same of the novel, so there's the same amount of violence and the like.

I currently update this every 5 days (at most every week), but I don't actually have a set schedule and it's all based on how much I can write when I'm done studying.
