Fugo then starts saying that objectively speaking, you are far more aesthetically pleasing, and starts lifting off some mathematical terms that fly over your head.

Mista

Mista points at himself and says "Me?" just to make sure he heard you right. This is a big moment for him. It isn't that he doubts your physical attraction to him, but hearing it confirmed out loud in your sweet voice is a real treat. He'll sling an arm around your shoulder and drops the line, "You're not so bad yourself", because he thinks it sounds cool. Mista wants to maintain his laidback air, but when you say stuff like that, his stomach does soumersalts and his hands start sweating. He has this big goofy grin and confident gait the remainder of the day. The one trade off (in his opinion) is that the Pistols start swarming about, insisting that you pay them equal praise. Chaos ensues until you appease their neediness for your validation. It is his soul made manifest, after all.

Narancia

Narancia does a little fist pump and starts cheering internally. Although, if you called him pretty, he might pause and get petulant. He totally exudes machismo, he'll insist. He'll warm up to the compliment eventually, though, but he won't admit it. Regardless, he's hype about it. His energy skyrockets the rest of the day. He's all over you, peppering your face with kisses, picking you up and twirling you around, he's on cloud nine. He considers it his personal mission to shower you in praise and this only reaffirms the creed. He'll go up to random people in public, point at you, and say stuff like, "Isn't she so cute? That's my girlfriend, yeah, that pretty lady over there. Do you see her? Just look at her, she's amazing, the coolest ever, did you know she—" and on and on he'll go.

Abbacchio

Similar to Fugo, he initially assumes that you're trying to butter him up. He'll wryly ask what you intend to cajole him into doing. When you huff and insist that this is a no strings attached compliment, he'll study you, since he knows the many tells that signify you're lying. Upon realizing you're being genuine, he'll grumble a few words of gratitude and leave it at that. Don't let his composure fool you — his heart is pounding away like he's a hormonal teenager again. He will lie awake that night, your words repeating on a loop without his Stand's assistance, floating in this warm and fuzzy sensation. Abbacchio might not be the best with his words, but he swears an oath to compliment you properly the next time he sees you.

If he's super sleepy he might pop them on to read at night. Whereas Will probably is farsighted and chooses to wear them when painting to make sure it comes out correct, but otherwise also ignores them. Will's probably the "squinting at the ingredients label" kinda guy. You know the one. Mike's the, "I JUST had them!!" glasses lost on the top of his head kind of guy. You know that one too, I'm sure.

Mike's a heavy sleeper, Will's a light sleeper. Mike's a starfish, for sure. I think Mike's the big spoon most of the time, except when he's starfishing, then either Will is laying flat on his back, an arm and a leg from Mike draped over him, or he's just starfished right on top of Mike lmao If Mike's on his back obvs Will is cuddled up to his side. Will's the blanket hog. Mike's a furnace when he sleeps. It evens out.

Once they start saying "I love you" they say it no less than 100 times a day that's a fact and I take no criticism

Sometimes their date nights are just them getting chocolate wasted and having a movie marathon. So the usual hangout day, but now they get to make out lmao

I like the hc where Will learns how to braid hair from El, and he braids Mike's hair. Short or long, it's just something to fiddle with, and be creative with, and I think it'd make Mike absolutely melt to be doted on like that, plus it feels nice.

Will's art is everywhere, covering the walls, the counters/tables with framed pieces, paints + pens + sketchbooks absolutely litter the house. He makes random stuff to decorate for Halloween/Christmas etc. like wreaths and garland and helps El make kitschy trinkets figurines to decorate her apartment with! Mike's writing is also everywhere, papers pinned to bulletin boards, books stacked next to his desk, work briefcase overflowing. No less than three draws open in his filing cabinet at any one time, half of the folders pulled out and scattered on the floor/on top of the cabinet.

They definitely make a comic together. Whether that comic gets published or not is up in the air, but they definitely at least make it

Mike prefers to listen to his music with headphones on, even though Will sneaks up on him from behind and startles him 99% of the times he wears them. Will prefers to listen to his record player. They get noise complaints in their apartment and Mike sneakily slips outside without Will knowing to kindly tell them to kick rocks <3 His boy needs his rock and roll time.

Neither one of them knows how to cook, but they have the spirit! Usually results in burnt food and takeout from the local deli or fast food joint, but that's ok too.

I love the idea of Will having a pierced earlobe, and Mike getting some kind of cartilage piercing. That one might just be my bias to Mike's lil ear tips peaking out of his hair. Idk it's just precious to me and I think it would suit him. A little rebellious but nothing too crazy. His mom would still probably have a fit, though.

Gotta admit that I haven't been a very diligent reader lately though, so I'm probably missing out on a few gems. As for plot heavy bunny fics that I'd recommend...

There's Just Underneath by TrashKat which is a Mystechaos fic that I can't recommend enough. I love how it's written, it's a little "short" (12 Chapters) but the character writing is super good and I love the Mystechaos fighting scenes, Bunny friendship and K2 scheming. If you like my fic you might like this one too, it's a lot less sad hahgahha

Then there's Stan Marsh and The Lost Lyre by @alottodix which I'll always recommend for plot heavy fic enjoyers. It's a Camp Half Blood AU, and it's NOT YET tagged Bunny, but Alottodix has planned for several parts and Bunny is yet to come so heavily recommend to tune in :) The Kenny and Butters characterization is already impeccable!!!

I can't think of any others tbh💔💔 At least not those that I'd classify as "Plot Heavy", or if they are they're not usually mainly Bunny. I'll recommend checking out orphanacrount's multi-chap fics, they're unfinished but the author MIGHT rework the TFBW AU soon though, so if you like Creek and background Bunny it's worth a read as well. I, at least, can't stress how awesome their fic Things Have Changed is. A MUST read if you like Bunny, and it's a 10k oneshot :)

And well, I'm currently (parallel to Chaos Plan) reworking another Bunny fic that I wrote back in March/April. It's not very "plot heavy", but the premise is that Butters remembers Kenny's last death so they work together to try and figure out how that can be. In the end it's more of a character driven fic than plot driven though, so I'm not sure if you're looking for something like that.

They point out several times that To You, From Me has 101 volumes, which corresponds with the tablet that keeps track of penalties.

Something that bugs me here is that Juiz gives them instructions without explaining why doing those things is important.

I wish she would give them more context like what she thinks they might find. It feels like she's still keeping some of the important info to herself.

Andy concludes that they'll need to make a manga to get into Shueisha HQ. Which is just an absolutely delightful thing to happen after the heavy Unbelievable Arc.

Fuuko has every fanfic author's dilemma:

Andy mentions Osamu Tezuka, the "Father of Manga," whose famous works were created in the 1950s-80s. One of his later works was Black Jack, and the main character has some similarities with Rip.

Having Fuuko write her own manga is fun in a Bakuman kind of way, but I also think it's a comment from the God/Author. This is just one of the many ways the God/Author is making them suffer and toil, and of course the author feels that this is a real test of character and strength. They're making the characters suffer as they have.

It also gives the IRL author Tozuka a chance to throw in some light gags about the manga business and let Andy wear a fun hat.

The Shueisha rep tells her a lot of very specific feedback that's probably the same kind of things Tozuka heard when he submitted Undead Unluck! The manga Fuuko submitted, with its wilder-looking Andy, matches up pretty well with the one-shot that started UU. I hope she left out the gropey parts.

Anyway, the manga impressed the Shueisha rep enough that she agreed to let Fuuko see the original manuscript for To You, From Me.

Now we know why we've been hearing so much about this manga, starting from page 1, chapter 1 where Fuuko is holding it while standing on the bridge over the trains. It's not just an "artifact" in the story. An ARTIFACT was used to write it!

Binged Ore ga Watashi ni Naru made, AKA Until I Become Me, in the last couple days (or rather caught up, since it ain't finished). P short, but sweet GB manga with a bunch of gender feels (and middle school drama lel). Does the "you contracted the genderswap disease when you were 8 years old and there is no cure" and actually plays it kinda seriously.

Since he was a bully as a boy, he kind of gets isolated, harassed, and has to move schools and just 100% commit to being a girl. It's played as like a p traumatic experience. Enough that the MC prioritizes fitting in as a girl as much as he can and his family is always worried about this being a burden on him. The english fanslation actually uses "I(♀)" and "I(♂)" to denote when he's using Watashi(♀) or Ore(♂).

The way things progress is that the MC slowly starts to like feminine things more because it connects her to her best friend. This progresses more and more, but the MC continually feels guilt around her family because she feels like she's not lining up with their expectations (she's not supposed to like this). There's a funny moment where her mostly absent, businessman dad buys her this keychain because he remembers that she liked stuff like this when she was a boy, but she's like a teen now so it's like:

Actually, on that note, I really like how this manga voices it's MC's thoughts a lot at different times. It gives a lot of her gut reactions, her guilt, her social anxiety, her random hate of this bitchy classmate, etc. It also kinda confirms that she still doesn't feel 100% a girl. Like still using majority Ore in internal monologue as of recent chapters. There's even a more direct statement of it of her venting to this nurse who sorta became her Onee-chan she relies on in v tough situations:

Iunno like all of this together makes it feel v real. Stuff you can't tell friends your own age or family because it would completely change your life so you can only tell this nurse/friend you trust. Honestly, if I were in her situation, I could easily see myself turning into this weird Bigender mess.

I don't think the series will fully go that way. It's sort of taking steps so that the MC sees he can enjoy the male hobbies that he's still attached to despite being a girl, so I'm expecting her to fully just accept being a girl eventually. Which I'd actually be p happy with; the internal monologue walking us through her direct reactions to a lot of these moments has made that feel like a viable option I'd be happy with. I think that's partially why I like this story a lot more than other GB manga. A lot of those just don't show the MCs thought process much at all, which leads to me interpreting things that can eventually leave me feeling burned when they start identifying as something I didn't feel coming by the end.

Honestly, an ultra-based option would be her eventually becoming an orekko, since that'd be her finally being comfortable with her inner voice coming out. I have less hope for bigender (or even boy beyond that, this is a GB story after all), but I still got a sliver.

Oh also, the best friend earlier, v fun. They're v sweet together and it feels like it might eventually end up going for a yuri route with her and MC. Even if they don't, they've just been through so much together and been supportive of each other that I'm super sold on the friendship. I like the gag where BF calls MC a perv.

Overall just p sweet manga. There's drama, but it doesn't feel too heavy (even if the MC is freaking out about it).

TBH maybe I shouldn't count out the boy/boy-adjacent ending options, recent chapter, although untranslated, had him in a sweater-vest.

What does your muse smell like?

chiyo is fond of warm and sweet scents, so she smells like sandalwood and vanilla or some sort of variation -- like wearing perfume or body care that smells like cinnamon or pumpkin during the fall and winter seasons. most often when people hug her, she's told she smells like a cookie!

What does your muse's hands feel like?

they're pretty soft and smooth, but she's got callouses on her first and middle fingers where she tends to apply the most pressure when she draws. she's also got a faded scar between her left thumb and index finger where she cut herself as a kid while trying to help her mom peel potatoes :' ) chiyo's hands are also often cold to the touch, so watch out -- she's known to use those icy hands to torment her friends!

What does your muse usually eat in a day?

on a good day, chiyo eats food she's cooked/prepped for herself, and it's as balanced as she can make it. breakfast is usually a bit lighter bc she isn't always super hungry in the morning, lunch is heavier, and dinner might be light or heavy depending on how late she gets around to eating. she does tend to snack quite a bit as well, and those snacks are usually something crunchy like chips or hard candies/fruit/something similar. on a bad day, chiyo eats a lot of snacks and takeout and frozen/pre-cooked foods only, and she ends up eating at weird times. bad days happen typically bc she's close to a deadline or in the middle of a workflow that she's scared of interrupting bc maybe she had writer's block or just really wants to get a chapter finished. while still in high school, her parents are the main reason she maintains a decent diet bc without them cooking, chiyo probably would've survived off of junk food 90% of the time :' )

nervous ticks tend to be biting at her lips and fidgeting, bouncing her leg, burying her hands in her hair, messing with her bangs, etc. she'll also avoid eye contact when she's nervous, lying, and generally uncomfortable, though she tries to make it less obvious by keeping busy or cracking a joke uvu bad habits would be staying up late, eating before bed, sitting with poor posture, and going days without drinking water and wondering why she feels awful asdf

What does your muse usually look like/wear?

chiyo mostly keeps to casual and comfortable clothing. during fall and winter, you'll catch her in oversized sweaters and hoodies constantly, while spring and summer call for graphic t-shirts, light zip-up hoodies, and shorts. the colors she tends to gravitate towards are blues, greens, black and white, leaning more towards darker colors overall. she likes pastels, but she's never thought they suit her all that much. quite often, chiyo will keep her hair pulled up in a ponytail or a bun, though she does this less as an adult. having her hair pulled back is just more convenient a lot of the time.

absolutely! it takes time to get to that point with chiyo, but she shows her affection through physical touch and acts of service. if chiyo goes out her way for you? she probably views you as a friend, and if she feels comfy enough to reach for your hand or lay her head on your shoulder, then you're officially stuck with her! no backing out at that point!

What position does your muse sleep in?

chiyo falls asleep on her side while hugging a pillow, but it's a toss up whether she wakes up on her stomach, side, or back bc she moves a lot. she's woken up tangled in her comforter, head shoved under her pillow, and even in a heap on the floor before.

Could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room?

it kinda depends on the situation! most of the time, you won't hear her bc she isn't a loud person, but if she's with friends, then you might her raising her voice and laughing. chiyo's only quiet until she gets worked up :' )

i have a bit of a situation and I’d love any words of wisdom from you if you’re willing.

so two years ago, I met someone and quickly developed a crush on her. a few months after we met, I confessed to her and she said that she didn’t think she had feelings for me and that she would like to remain friends. I was totally fine with that, so the next year was fine. she went abroad for school the year later.

now she’s back and we are co-running a dance club at school together so we are spending a lot of time working together. we have a bunch of mutual friends now so every so often she comes over to my apartment since she’s friends with all of my roommates too. we eat meals together and talk a lot and we make each other laugh.

long story (relatively) short, my feelings for her have returned and multiplied by like a million. I say “returned” like they left but I’m not sure if they ever did honestly. anyway I feel like confessing to her again wouldn’t be the best move, but I feel like, in both the best and worst possible way, I’m going to EXPLODE!!! I’ve been thinking about so many things lately and how me and her are running out of time (we are both graduating in the spring) and I think that sense of urgency is contributing to my want to do something about this.

I can’t know exactly how she feels because I am not inside her brain. all I know is that when anyone mentions love or the future, I automatically and unconsciously picture her. it’s a little pathetic tbh. but I’ve accepted the strength of my feelings and I need a way to express them or at least control them. I guess I’m writing to you for any advice you may have regarding this.

this is a such a sweet message. so many people would love to be talked about the way you talk about her. she’s a lucky girl!!!! i always think that clear communication is the way to go. these feelings are a LOT to handle, and if pouring your heart out to her is going to make you feel better then i think, why not? if you don’t think that she feels the same way, you’ll obviously have to structure your confession as just that - a confession. but if you have a feeling that maybe she likes you back, then you could explain it and see if she can confirm it or clear it up. like you mentioned at the end, “too much love. not enough time or ability to express.” i think communication can do wonders for this situation. if she likes you back, then yay!! go on a date!! if she doesn’t, then you move on with acceptance because you did all you could do.

you could always say something along the lines of i know that i already told you this a year ago but i still have feelings for you. i feel like you deserve to know because we hang out so often and because we’re running the club together. i respect if you don’t feel the same way and i want you to know that i’m not going to jeopardize the club or drag in mutual friends. if you don’t feel the same way, i understand and i won’t act on it. i really admire you and i just need to let you know to get it off my chest. (you can adjust this according to how you guys talk to each other and add more details to explain yourself)

i don’t want to say this because it might give you false hope but this is just something to keep in mind. feelings can change. and i say this for both your feelings, and hers. my boyfriend and i went on a date last year and nothing came out of it. we went on a date almost a year later (a few months ago) and it was completely different and we’re dating now. people change, circumstances change and feelings change. just remember that!!

i think that everyone deserves to feel love and confessing could get you closer to that - love with her, or love with someone else. regardless, the choice is entirely yours and i trust that you’ll make the right decision. i can tell that you have a heart of gold, my sweet anon. i am sending you courage and support!!!! i’d love to know what you decide to do and what the outcome is. my inbox will remain open and i’ll always be here. <3
