I've been absent because I've been binging DAV; enjoying the game a lot, but I gotta agree with all my discussions I've had with friends: they really sanded down any of the edge/darkness DA had, and I think that's a mistake and a loss, tbh. Still a good game and I'm having fun, but there's a lot of wasted potential.

Also they keep retconning/ignoring parts of lore/world building (esp the darker aspects) from older games and it annoys me, but whatever

What would you say is your biggest piece of advice when making a comic?

..asking for a *cough* friend-

Make a story where you are the main audience

Sure getting nice comments from people who are excited to see your updates or discussing what happens next is nice and all but your #1 fan should be yourself above anyone else. Write what you want to write not what others suggest you do or believe is the right way.

Don’t be discouraged by people who think you’re writing something wrong, that’s their opinion and if they think you’re wrong they should go out and make their own story, free will and creativity are free it only takes determination to create something of your own.

And finally, it doesn’t matter what skill level you are at, storytelling is its own art form, just having the will to make something is amazing on its own, it’s your own little world that no one else is privy to, create for it and no matter what people will be able to see how much you care for it and will get invested in it, and even if they don’t it is still something of your own and you should cherish it, it is a small part of your heart after all.

It’s because I’m creating for myself that I’m able to pump out so much art for this AU, because I want to see what happens next, I want to evolve this little world of my own, and even if I had no one else who liked this AU I would still create for it.

You have to love what you are doing.

(Also rest when you get bored of the comic, it happens, it will happen. And if the time ever comes when you can’t keep writing for it, then stop, like I said you are your main audience, and if you’re not having fun with the comic anymore then it is time to rest and maybe even move on to something else. It happens, never feel bad about it, just keep on moving to the next fun thing👍.

He hadn’t been able to track you down yet.

When the gator had finished charging that morning, he’d already been heading down to see you—only to encounter Vanessa.

Montgomery had assumed that, with what lots of people seemed to be celebrating, that the Mega Pizzaplex wouldn’t be opened.

He was wrong.

The hours happened to be shorter, though. As—after he was flung into a special little performance with the others—it closed just fifteen minutes later.

Montgomery, having been taking a bit of a breather in his room, turned, and headed for the door.

It slid open, and he took a few steps out. The animatronic’s head turned to the side, and he spotted someone.

“Chica!”

Glamrock Chica’s head spun around—but not her body—as she heard her friend’s voice.

“Monty, hi!” She waved.

He waved back after a second. “I’ve got to ask ya somethin’.”

The gator could see you up ahead, staring through one of the windows, as snow rapidly fell. Montgomery quickened his pace.

In doing so, he must have alerted you—as your head spun around. But, compared to Glamrock Chica’s, the rest of your body followed.

You smiled as you saw him getting closer and closer.

As the gator finally got to your side in front of the window, you turned back around, but kept glancing back at him.

“Glad I found ya.” Monty commented, inching a little closer than he already was.

You nodded in agreement.

For a few seconds, silence arrived, and began to stretch across the two of you—he had thoughts, but he didn’t know how to get them out.

Briefly, the silence was interrupted by Monty clearing his throat. He opened his mouth wide, but shook his head, and closed it back.

He thought the silence would keep going—but you were the one to finally fully break it apart.

“Look at all of that,” The gator was already aware that you were talking about what was beyond the window. “Doesn’t that look...”

The gator’s gaze didn’t pull away from you. He interrupted you, but the tone of his voice was soft. “Pretty? Mm.”

You gave a half nod, before your eyes widened, and your body froze—as if you had suddenly remembered something, or as if you were shutting down.

Fortunately, it didn’t seem to be something like the second option.

You turned around again, and Monty watched, in surprise, as you pulled a box out from seemingly nowhere behind your back.

It was wrapped a little messily—there was a lot of tape.

“Oh, before I forget...” With one hand, you moved the present closer. The other? You used it to grab the gator’s clawed hand.

“Merry Christmas, Monty.”
