my indecisive ass really wants to draw my ocs for twst… like create a pomefiore one but another part of me wants to draw my Alice, Joker, Rabbit, and Chenya. Another part wants to go wild and create a pinnochio dorm. 😭 why is life (wow first world problem) so difficult— no. like. my Alice son has been on my mind for such a long time ugh he’s so dolllike and cute.

However this boy really dislikes riddle. He probably goes to RSA considering how I read Neige lore and am in love with the idea of the counterparts of the villains attending a different school. My Alice is tall and lean with a bit of girly-features and holds his own. His unique magic may change but atm allows him to manipulate others into falling asleep, into their “wonderland”. though the issue is the dream the person has is a terrible nightmare, and it continues each night or time they sleep until he removes it, (kinda like how riddle can shackle ((for a long time)) someone, he causes nightmares) or if they manage to survive the whole nightmare without waking.

He has such a charming smile for someone who can so easily cause you to have insomnia. the white rabbit and joker ((pls i love jokers) are also in his dorm/year wtf rooms do rsa have. the white rabbit is kinda like Rook or Jade to Alice?? Like he’s exhausted from constantly doing reports though and keeping track of time and schedules, and is almost always late handing in reports.

also also the joker gets along real well with Chenya. The two are just there with smiles on their faces, while you look at them, and they open their eyes with little mischievous smiles. however, the joker really respects Alice’s morals and can be quite serious when it comes to him. Both Alice and Riddle believe in order but they have different ways to put it in practice. Riddle is more strict with things like uniform and curfew and punished others easily, but Alice does not mind messy uniforms, accessories, or people breaking some rules as long as no one is hurt.

headcanon everyone who follows Alice is in the flower arrangement club, he is the president because his family owns a flower shop and he started the club his first year. he easily gained influenced and people join to get a glimpse of him tending flowers prettily. Whitethorne is explanatory, but Cael was short for the Latin word for blue, Cael! once you remove a few letters…

Riddle wasn't sure why but he it really irritated him how whenever they did civil group pictures, you always end up blocked or something happens to you in your part of the picture

It's not your fault really but it bugs him

he made it a goal to get a perfect picture , such as asking for a selfie

He actually wasn't a fan of it but he wanted at least ONE good picture of you because he cherishes his friends

He wasn't too interested in photos but in your case it caught his interest slightly

he noticed from school activity photos that your face was always somehow ruined.

he thought it was funny but rare

so he tasked ruggie to take a picture for a small amount , mainly because he thought it would be easy

plus it's not like he wants a photo of you for anything psssshh

but when ruggie returned , he was frustrated and tired

he got baffled that Ruggie had given up money for any easy task. or so he thought was easy

So thinking ruggie was being lazy , he went to do it himself

he repeats many tries after and it all ends the same

azul didn't like photos , much at least because of certain ones of his past

though he took note of a particular incident

(Event after chapter 3) when you all took a picture at the museum , he noticed that your part of the picture , floyd's arm covered your face

He thought nothing of it until he noticed it often

Ace took a photo of you and deuce and somehow grim flew in front of your face

Cater took a selfie but it ended up blurred

it was pointless but hard to ignore so he assigned Jade and floyd into getting the perfect picture of you

after a couple hours, jade and floyd came back frustrated

even jade looked visibly irritated which was VERY rare to the point it scared Azul

they showed him nothing but blurry pics, he knew something was up because even jade wouldn't fail this bad

He knew he couldn't stand the chance if the tweels failed

but later on , you wanted to take a selfie with him

he refused immediately but you promised to keep the photo private , then he did agree , reculantantly

His immediate thought was that the picture would of been ruined anyways but was shocked to see a cute selfie of him and you

"....send me that picture . " you turned to him "what???" "SEN ME THAT PICTURE"

We all know this absolute dork would love to take pictures , possibly from Cater's influence , because he sees it as a fun thing to do

So you , being one of his favorite people, he obviously wants a good photo of you

but to his disappointment, when he wanted to take a pic of you while you were at the gardens, it turned out super blurry

he thought nothing of it , just might of moved a bit , until the next one came blurry

he was getting semi frustrated and you had already left , so for once, he was actually grumpy to the point where he just asked Jamil to take a good picture for him

he felt lowkey bad of course but he was a tiny bit frustrated

Jamil didn't care until he had the same issue

Jamil tried a it but gave up when he kept getting the same result

then kalim was just sad , he just wanted a cute picture of you

you visited one day and he was his usual self but you here reminded him of the picture incident

you offered to try again , he was hard for him to say no to you

but after looking..you took a perfect photo

he wanted to cry and you were just so confused

hug him he needs it

Vil

Vil is a perfectionist of course, which includes photos too

you , him and a few others went on a small trip , you wanting to take a photo to remember the trip

you're one of the only people he's allowed for a picture minus fans because he's aware you just want a genuine picture and knows you won't share/ brag about it

Rook offered to take the photo

you two posed and rook took the shot but Vil automatically saw Rook's confused face

"Rook?.. is there a problem?" "non non roi du poison! I must of moved a little fast, part of it came blurry

he didn't think on it , just a small mistake no biggy

that was until the problem kept repeating itself

Irrigated , he took the camera and looked at the photos , each and every one of them was blurred of were you were at while vil looked completely fine

he slowly looked at you while you just stood there worried that we weren't going to get a picture

"Vil senpai? maybe i can just take a selfie? Rook's camera's probably broken"

sighing in defeat , he agreed ,after getting in a cute pose , you snapped a photo

he took a look and he was legit about to burst

It was an absolute beautiful picture

He was stunned that you did an even better job then rook

we all know for a fact, he hates pictures , at least mainly of himself

though he doesn't mind pictures of you

of course , he doesn't take pics of you willy nilly , he asks you first because he'd be hypocrite to take a picture of someone who didn't want a photo

You often cosplayed as some of his favorite characters and of course he'd want a picture of it but he was in for a surprise

The first time you cosplayed in front of him , he asked and you agreed

he snapped the photo , it blurred

he got irritated but thought nothing of it and tried again

still failed

he has plenty of cameras ( I dunno it's for the story make up your own reason XD ) and used a different one to get a photo

it failed and he tried many times , it was too a point he built up the courage *cough*two hours*cough to ask rook to help

he was dumbfounded when rook couldn't do well

you later went home , while idia was sad , he really wnated to take a good pic

soon after, you sent him a text

"I'm sorry you couldn't get a cute picture earlier, so i took a shot at it with a selfie!"

and there he saw the perfect picture

"...what the f**k is this voodoo magic- "

he of course loved it but he was so confused

oh boy here we go-

he was still confused on the idea of photos

but he thought it was similar to a painting but it's instant

so of course he wants one with you

he attempts to use an old style camera (hey be lucky he made it this far)

he sets it up to where it takes a picture with a timer and you both pose

After it was done, he looked at the photo and somehow it blurred

he just thought it was a small mistake and tried again

second time, same result

this is where his temper slowly rises and it's shown every time it fails

and after about the 20th time , he smashes the camera

you attempt to calm him down and offered to use your phone

he agrees because he trusts you more than a dumb camera

after you took the photo, he was very happy , it looked wonderful

he didn't care about the camera anymore, he just cared that he got a good photo

III a. Method I: Loop, Sculpt, Cut

(Previous: III. Meshing a (vintage) dress)

As promised, today I'd like to show you one of my 2 favourite methods of meshing skirts in Blender. In case you forgot – it's been some time since the last part – this is where we left our dress:

As you can see, the basic shape of the skirt is ready, but it looks rather like a stiff cone than something you'd wear. That's exactly what we're going to change.

Method I: Loop, Sculpt, Cut

Go to the front view (num 1).

Press t to unhide the left side bar (make sure your cursor is in the main window). Choose the first category ('Tools') and under 'Mesh Tools', in the 'Add' section, find 'Loop Cut and Slide'... Or just use the ctrl + r shortcut.

Remember what you did when you were meshing that cup with Blender Guru? Now we're going to do exactly the same. There are two possibilities: either you put the loop in the right place from the start and then scale it to get the shape you want, or you first put it in the default place – in the middle – and then move that new loop. Whatever works better for you. For some reason, I prefer option no. 2, so that's what I'm going to do.

If you have any vertices selected, deselect them (a). Click that 'Loop Cut and Slide' button (or press ctrl + r) and place the cursor over your dress. You should see a pink, horizontal line.

Double click to put it in that default place.

Move it along the z axis (g, z) to give your skirt the desired shape (turn off proportional editing (alt + o) in case you used it last time and it's still on!). Here's what I got:

Obviously, the top part of the skirt still looks wrong. We need to repeat the same steps: deselect vertices (a), put another loop (ctrl + r) in the middle of the upper part and then move it (g, z) to the right place.

Tip: If you want to see how your skirt looks, but you're not sure if you're done with adjustments and don't want to deselect the vertices just yet, just switch to Object Mode (tab). When you switch back to Edit Mode (tab), your vertices will still be selected.

If you think your dress still looks too blocky, repeat those same steps another time or two. I think I'll add one more loop at the top.

Tip: In case you need to readjust any of the loops, you can easily select them with right-click + alt. Add shift to the mixture to select several loops!

Look at your new skirt from different viewpoints and make any necessary adjustments. Chances are you'll have to move your new loops a little bit to the back (g, y) to get rid of that belly bump.

Tip: For small adjustments, either use your keyboard arrows or hold shift while moving your mouse.

Once you're satisfied with the basic shape of your skirt, insert more loops between the ones you already have. Just put them there, without any adjusting. You can easily add many loops at once: just put one in the middle and then increase the number of cuts in that little box on the left-hand side.

I'll be honest: I have no idea how many loops are necessary. I usually try to add enough so that the distance between them would be similar to the distance between loops in the top, but I might be overdoing it a bit.

Now that you've added them, you can move to the next step: sculpting.

Click the mode selection button – the one which shows whether you're in object or edit mode – and choose 'Sculpt Mode' from that short list.

This is a completely different editing mode, which lets you, well, sculpt your mesh in any way you want. Bad news: I'll have to kind of leave you to your own devices in here. Instead of step-by-step instructions I can only give you a couple of tips.

I find it easier to sculpt if I change the shading from material/texture to solid. You might want to do the same.

If you collapse the 'Stroke' menu on the left, you'll be able to choose the stroke method. I'd highly recommend you go for 'line' – makes sculpting bumps and creases a lot easier.

Note: If ‘line’ doesn’t appear in the dropdown menu, check if you’re using the correct Blender version, 2.79! It seems this feature is missing at least from version 2.70.

At the very top of that sidebar you can choose a brush which you're going to use. Which one should you go for? That depends very much on what kind of effect you want to achieve. SculptDraw, Brush, Blob, Inflate – all of them work quite well for adding some volume (or removing, if you choose 'Subtract' instead of 'Add'). Crease is my absolute favourite for, well, adding creases – great if your skirt is supposed to be made of a thick material falling in folds (THIS is probably my top achievement in creasing). Experiment a bit on your own, with different brushes, radius and strength settings! Just remember to change the stroke method when you select a new brush – it's set to 'space' by default.

Once you're satisfied with the results of your sculpting, go back to edit mode.

Chances are high that now your mesh looks quite blocky here and there – having sharp edges rather than smooth material folds. We're going to fix that with the knife tool.

Turn off the x-ray and find a part of your skirt which could use some smoothing. In case of my skirt, I see a proper candidate right away:

Look for a point where your crease/bump is ending (i.e. becoming flat). Select the knife tool (k), click on that 'starting' vertex and draw a diagonal line, creating a little triangle:

Now draw a line going down, parallel to your crease/bump line:

Repeat the same on the other side of your crease/bump:

Now we need to do some rotating and moving. I've got it easy, as the part which I'm adjusting lies exactly on the x axis. I'll deselect the top vertices, move the rest along the x axis (g, x) and rotate it along y (r, y) – just a little bit! Much better:

Tip: If you think that you started your cut too low and it looks weird, go to edge select mode, select both diagonal lines at the top of your cut, press x or delete and choose 'dissolve edges'. You'll be left only with the parallel lines; 'knife' them further up and end with a new triangle.

Repeat for any other 'pointy' parts. If the part you're adjusting isn't located exactly on the x or y axis, you'll have to do some more rotating and moving, as you'll have to take both axes into account. It's basically a trial and error process – might take some time, but you'll eventually get there. Skipping the rotating part and only moving the whole cut a bit here and there is also an option.

And that's it. Your skirt is fully meshed. Congratulations!

But... It took some time and effort, didn't it? That's exactly what I was thinking too – and then, a month or two ago, I came up with an idea on how to simplify the whole skirt-making process. In my head I call it 'the sneaky method' ;). This post got already too long to include this one as well, but I'll share it with you next time!

I rewatched Jacksepticeye's DDLC. I wanted to leave here some things that caught my attention.  And there's a lot of questions that came to my head while i was watching :P Also some thoughts about Anti. Feel free to ignore :)

#1 When Jack eating the cupcake Natsuki made and then thanking her she's saying: W-why are you thanking me?It's not like I...! And then we see this- Jack: Haven't i heard this somewhere before...? Is that the case that when you playing it for the first time you already reliving it again? How many other people were delated by Monika? Were there more people at all?

Monika: "I guess that just means Sayori is amazing in her own ways, isn't she?" (...) "Take a good care of her, okay? I would hate to see her get herself hurt." And Jack says: "That makes two of us"

#2 When Monika talking about saving the game and about something unexpecting that might happen she's taking about Sayori isn't she?

Yuri: This club is seriously going to bethe death of me... Why i have a feeling like she'll be the one who will die next? But then Monika saying "Oh gosh... You'll be fine Yuri." she mean fine for now?

#3 Jack: "Maybe i'm reading into it a little too much, but she (Sayori) seems a bit downcast today." Monika: "I can't say I've noticed anything about her..."  I can't say? She's saying later that Jack know Sayori a lot better than she does. In the rest of the episode Monika seems to know way more about Sayori than Jack who was her close friend since they were kids so i don't think she ment to say she don't know anything.  "i said too much".

Jack: Why does it feel like I'm being watched? Then we have Yuri watchig at Jack but that line seems a bit odd. For some reason i have a feeling it's not referring to her.

Yuri: "The world is full of meaning, often hidden deep beneath plain sight. And there are many untold mysteries behind every person, no matter how well you may know them." Are you refering to Sayori or all of you? Or to what is happening in Literature Club?

Monika: Humans aren't two-dimensional creatures Jack: You mean one-dimensional?

Monika: Okay you three (at 29:40) She's usually saying Okay everyone. She's calling just three members of the club even though she wasn't told Sayori went home earlier yet. Natsuki and Yuri pointing out that it's weird thing to say, that it's not Monika catchphrase. Then Yuri saying: Stagnating air is common foreshadowing that someting terrible is about to happen. They talking about Sayori and then Monika saying she talked with her and everything is okay but when Jack asking her what they were talking about she's immediately changing the topic.

Yuri acting like Sayori to impress Jack. We already have a hint she'll replace her as a vice president in the club.

Why Yuri didn't want to make the decorations in her house? What you're hiding there Yuri?

There's a lot of "I believe you" phrase.

Monika told Sayori about Jack preparing for festival with Yuri. She's telling her a lot of things doesn't she? But why? Also Sayori talking about her punishment and her being selfish. Is that a depression or Monika?

Sayori was preparing for festival with Monika. When she was talking with Jack she said it will be fun to hang out during festival. Sayori: I'll see you tomorrow okay?"

When Jack and Yuri finished the thingy for a festival and they were talking :) Sayori came. She's obviously jealous. But she's saying something weird then. Sayori: "Monika was right. I should just.." What did Monika told you? At the end of the conversation Sayori said she trust Jack. She was also screaming like crazy but for me it didn't felt like she's about to kill herself. She was going through tough time but she was looking forward to hanging out with Jack on the festival.

Monika: “You should take a little responsibility for her, Jack! I mean, especially after you exchange with her yesterday. You kind of left her hanging this morning, you know" Why she told you about it? Or does she? And what did you tell her? Wait "You kind of left her hanging this morning, you know" HOLY SHIT She already knew. That bitch already knew. "I'll probably know a lot more than you think" You sneaky little shit. And then she's quickly changing the topic. When Jack geting out of the classroom she's saying " Don't strain yourself"

While Sayori is hanging you can see all of the characters poping all around her happily. On the bottom left is Yuri? Then she's coming slightly closer to Sayori and then back towards the corner and out of the screen. She's not poping around. She just is there. She is looking different than other characters. And then Monika deleted Sayori. I think it was already too late that moning to save Sayori. Am I wrog?

"I've always walked to school alone" Jack doesn't remember anything.

Monika telling Jack he's more important than the materials she was looking for. You didn't come to look for materials did you?

Saves deleted

Monika tried to shame Natsuki. She's about to say the name of her poem which Natsuki doesn't want to be known by others. She also said ealrier that Natsuki keeping Manga in literature club and she clearly doesn't consider it as literature. She's calling her cute even though she knows that's make her uncomfortable and that she doesn't want to be called that.

In the text Jack skipped Monika said: "The thing is we need four and if we don't find one more before the festival..." Why you need four members? Are you saying it to make Jack stay?

Why drawing with Sayori (23:01) looking like it was partly burned?

Jack skipped Monika saying Natsuki's dad not giving her food and money for food. Also while Yuri and Natsuki were arguing Natsuki tried to "make Yuri look bad" by saying she's cutting herself.

Monika taking Jack out of classroom saying she can't confront a club members but she really just wanna make Jack spend time with her.

Natsuki will forget about it tomorrow. She did forget indeed. But what Yuri said or did to her when there was just two of them? She made Natsuki cry after all.

Yuri wanna stay with Jack a little longer and "discuss a book". Monika not agreeing. Then saying: I guess i don't really have a choice, do i?   Yuri: I'm sorry for causing trouble. Monika standing in front of the text, Yuri's glitching and day's ending.

Sean pointing that Yuri saying she's not normally like this. Monika is the one who make Yuri and Natsuki look bad in front of Jack. Something came over me i guess.

The description of the book is different from the last time. Darker. Way darker. It's also weird how hard she's  trying to convince Jack she's not relating to the main character of the book. Then she's saying she thought that Jack was talking about different feature when he was comparing her to girl from the book but “We didn't even get that far yet”

Monika: Sometimes i feel like Yuri's mind is just totally detached from reality

Monika's saying there's no point to explain her poem.

Monika(?): Who am i talking to? Can you hear me?Tell me you can hear me. Anything. Then we're getting a window idk how to call it, sorry saying Please help me.

Yuri desn't want to explain her poem either.

Monika: It feels like you and i are the only real people here

In ddlc #3 Sayori saying: I'm just weak and selfish. Jack looking straight at the camera. I saw people comparing Sayori to Jack and Monika to Anti. Is that applying to Jack? We hear Anti saying He's body weak but how is Jack selfish? Because he's ignoring Anti?

There's a line refering to Yuri's pocket knife: It looks really fancy. And then "Jack" saying: You mean my stabbing knife? Did Anti thought Jack is actually interested in his knives? Anti doesn't want our attention, since we already talking about him a lot. He want Jack's attention and Jack keep ignoring him.

Anti's showing when we see Sayori hanging. He's looking straight at us. What is he's trying to comunicate with us to make Jack pay attention to him?

It kind of sounds like you don't want me to be around or something Jack. There's shit ton of theories  about Jack being dead so why Anti saying Jack doesn't want him around? Jack can't be dead then.

Babysitter, Episode 1

.... in which I expose my emotional ineptitude, because I had to turn this off before the episode even ended, out of sheer awkward mortification on behalf of one of the characters.

I know I’m not the only one who does this, but I’m pretty sure this is the first time that’s happened to me with a kdrama - and if anything, I think that might be a point in favour of this show, rather than against it. (as always, spoilers below the cut)

I mean, I embrace the melodramatic nature of kdramas, but y’all have seen me on here pining for the occasional something-a-little-more. I love it when I come across a show that’s got the sweet romance and silly cliches that dramas do so well while also incorporating brilliant storytelling, and gorgeous cinematography. And dramas can have all of that, and the ones that do, tend to be some of my favourite shows... but in all the great shows, with all the brilliant writing and acting and camera work and editing and everything that I’ve watched, I can’t think of a single character that made my insides twist as much as Suk Ryoo squirming her way into her boss’s bedroom, presumably only to get caught a little later on by his wife.

I have to admit here that I don’t actually know if she seduces him, or if they get caught, or what exactly is going on at this point. I know she has ulterior motives, but I have no idea what they are, and while he’s definitely giving her sleazy side-eye, I’m not even 100% convinced that he’s lusting after her and not just genuinely feeling some sort of mentorship. Some people are just cursed with sleazy faces, y’know? I mean, this is Kim Min Jun we’re talking about. His performance as Teacher Jung in Hide Identity is still one of my favourites in a kdrama of all time. I know this guy is capable of sneaky ambiguous nuances.

The point is, the show must be doing something right to invoke this kind of a reaction in me, and I’m hoping that I pull myself together enough to pick it back up so I can find out, because it has so much promise!

The main draw for me is how quirky it is. 

For a lot of people, quirky in a TV show means nerdy-lead-characters who are immersed in obscure subcultures, surrounded by pops of primary colour. Like.... cat-girl with a spork meets Ugly Betty, or something. 

That’s definitely not the kind of quirky I mean. 

When I first read the synopsis for this, I figured it would be something like SBS’s The Suspicious Housekeeper - a babysitter who has a dark secret and is in hiding from something or someone. 

That opening scene really took me by surprise, because it let me know right off the bat what happens at the end, and also that this story was not going to follow any preconceived narrative I might have drafted out for it in my head. Okay, I’m thinking, here we go, this is a little different.

Then you get the background music choices, the camera angles, the pacing.... everything is reminiscent of White Christmas, or French black comedies like Delicatessen; it’s like a shadowy figure is jerkily making it’s way toward you, giving the distinct impression that whatever it is, it has too many joints to be entirely human. Cheerful music is juxtaposed against what can only be called an evil smile, a happy family scene is just oozing over with bad premonitions.... I really don’t know how to describe this, other than to say it’s brilliant film making, really the sort of thing I enjoy. 

I mean, just look at that shot. It gives me the willies.

So, you know, if anyone has watched this, I could really use some encouragement to not be a wuss and get back into it, especially since it’s only 4 episodes long. Or if it actually wasn’t very good, let me know that too, so I can just delete the rest of the episodes and make space on my hard drive.
