Any advice on how to adapt side profiles for characters? It's currently my biggest struggle with the style (aside hands)

The best FusionFall source for profile views is the loading screen artwork. My main takeaway is to always put noses higher than you think they should go, if you're used to drawing realistic human faces, lol

They're not exactly FusionFall style, but Midori Foo (the original artist) has a few illustrations in profile view that could serve as extra reference as well

If you study the way things are stylized between these two sources you should come out with an understanding of the general proportions and implied 3D form of the characters

Fiona: lotta standard top 50s 2010s shit. She doesn't have time for music. Probably likes 50 Cent, Ke$ha, Outkast, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Nelly Furtado, Jasoooooooon Dureeeellooooo, and of course Kanye. Arctic Monkeys for when she wants guitar music.

Lip: definitely a Post Punk Revival / Alt Rock guy, he's so horny and angsty. Lotta Interpol and The Strokes, some Kings of Leon, Queens of the Stone Age, maybe a little Psychadelic Rock too. Fucks with William Crooks and Kendrick Lamar the most as far as rappers go.

Ian: lotta guitar driven Shoegaze & Noise Rock, some Queercore, maybe some Post-Hardcore & Melodic Hardcore after being besties with Mandy Milkovich for so long. Title Fight, Fleshwater, Black Eyes, Limp Wrist, Lightning Bolt, Midori, Loathe, shit like that. Arguably the one in the family who likes music the most due to being a poor gay kid with no outlet outside of violence.

Debbie: Influenced by a lot of her older sibling's tastes and it shows. Lots of little sister pop and girly Hip Hop and a little Screamo / Punk. Avril, Paramore, No Doubt, Ting Tings, Blind Girls, P!nk, Bratmobile, 7 Year Bitch, Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion, and Rico Nasty.

Carl: Hip Hop and (diet) Metal mostly. Eminem, Hollywood Undead, Trivium, Suicide Silence, I Declare War, Korn, Slipknot, Tyga, Pop Smoke, Lil Durk, T.I., Relaye, Nas, Bobby Shmurda, Chief Keef, Tupac. Your standard angry / horny / macho shit with a little dash of angst.

Liam: is genuinely pretty ok with everything being he's from a family full of white people, but has a clear bias towards Ambient and R&B. Panchiko, Aphex Twin, Brian Eno, Akira Yamaoka, The Floaters, Isley Brothers, 112, J.O.E., Mos Def, and the Roots. World's chillest 11 year old.

Kevin: Mac Miller, J.I.D, J. Cole, Drake, ODB, Kid Cudi, maybe some Sublime, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, and Smashing Pumpkins? I can see him being a relatively in touch dad but a dad nonetheless.

Veronica: Lot of Aaliyah, TLC, Kanye, Tribe Called Quest (especially when her daughters are around), Fugees, Erykah Badu, Lil Kim, Noname, Mary J. Blige. Lotta Pharrell too cus she thinks he's sexy. Standard cute mom / badass big sister jams.

Mickey: Definitely a -core guy. Would prob bump a lot of Crust Punk too. Emmure, Hatebreed, Pain of Truth, Sunami, No Retreat, Pig Destroyer, Cryptopsy, fluoride, Extreme Noise Terror, and of course Slipknot. He also really rocks with Kesha but he's super embarrassed about it.

Mandy: Despite the cast being full of deeply traumatized and pissed off individuals Mandy Milkovich is really the only one I can see being an emo girl (she certainly dresses the part and has the backstory for it.) She'd like a lot of Screamo and Post-Hardcore tbh. Blind Girls (she's definitely the reason Debbie fucks with them), Deftones, BMTH, Flyleaf, Damones, Kittie, Fleshwater (she got Ian into them), fluoride (Mickey got her into them), and Envy. Outside of that she probably fucks with Hole.

HTX Tech X Summit 2024 Opening Video ( AI Generated Content ) from HOLOGRIX™ on Vimeo.

From the creators and team that produced the Holographic Opening Performance for the launch of Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) back in 2019 ( vimeo.com/hologrix/htx ) … After five years , HTX is back and this time round, we produced an opening video using Generative AI which was something that never seen done before in Singapore as of this date of posting.

The Official Launch of the Inaugural Milipol Asia Pacific 2024, as part of HTX’s TechX Summit on 3 April 2024, we melded traditional filmmaking techniques with Generative AI content and using Gen AI tools to create an opening video that highlighted the synchronous relationship that humans and AI could have in the future.

The fruit of our labour, working with Gen AI tools was both an eye opening and frustrating experience as we while just at the tip of the ice berg. Every week some new features were updated or new apps were developed but not release yet. Therefore, there were a lot of trial and errors. We had resolution issues - our screen size was 7600 x 1600 pixel and then consistency character issues etc. Of course with over 20 years of post production and visual effect experiences, we were able to trouble shoot along the way. And I got to say … we truly experienced how advanced AI has become and also how far it has yet to go. AI is already all around us, and it will continue to machine learn FOREVER. ( Can you imagine how smart it will be in future ??? ).
