Day 10 of #MiddleSplitsinMay is Lateral Splits! 🤸‍♀️ 🤸‍♂️ I'm so proud of you all for making it this far! This last day brings us to the pose that you have been working so hard to get to! Warm up your hips and inner thighs using the poses in the previous 9 days before doing this pose! - ✨ Option 1: Come into your wide legged forward fold and slowly slide your feet away from each other. See second photo above for this idea. ✨ Option 2: Come into your wide legged forward fold and place your hands on a block or the mat. Spin your toes to point upwards with feet flexed, and start to lower your hips towards the ground as you slide your feet away from each other. This option is closer to your seated wide legged forward fold, with the aim to keep your hips inline with your feet! See first photo above for this idea. ✨ Option 3: Come into your seated wide legged forward fold facing a wall (feet on wall). Place your hands behind you and use that to help you guide your hips closer to the wall as your feet glide further apart! - Thank you to all who participated! Inhale to lengthen your spine & exhale to fold yourself forwards. Focus on tilting through the pelvis and rolling your pubic bone down towards the mat! Day 3 of #MiddleSplitsinMay is Goddess Squat! 🤸‍♀️ 🤸‍♂️ - Take your legs into a wide stance with your feet spinning out to about a 45 degree angle. Take an exhale to bend deep into your squat, aiming for 90 degrees at the knees.
