If we got together and it didn't work out, I would lose you. It didn't matter that I was attracted to you. And boyfriends come and go, but you… I couldn't lose you. I couldn't then, and… I can't now.

may I request for the one from the first episode of mcm where Sybil said when in doubt, choose love (genuinely my favourite scene between syb and bunny) or the one where Jerry was crying playing pickleball!! I will owe you my life you make either one for me 🥺🥺🥺

watching mid-century modern and i just wanna say it's so nice to see matt bomer in a role portraying queer joy and queer friendships. he's always fantastic telling these very dramatic and heartbreaking queer stories, but i think it's important to remember that happiness and community are also part of the queer experience

Mid-Century Modern is such a great show.
Queer joy and queer friendships that have clearly been long established and full of love. Jerry is such a big dumb gorgeous himbo who is just so lovely. I love him so much. He's just trying so hard. Arthur is such a bitch and I love him. But he also very clearly adores his friends, even if he's astounded by them sometimes. Bunny is like your stereotypical sitcom protagonist who also happens to be a gay man.
The main cast is so good and they're really funny together. I've only ever seen Matt Bomer in dramatic roles, but he's a treat as Jerry. Nathan Lane and Nathan Lee Graham are absolute hoots as always!
So much fun! Cannot recommend enough!

“Once Rothko said that ‘The people who weep before my pictures, are having the same religious experiences I had when painting them.’ This is exactly what happened to me. I find myself in the Rothko Chapel, uncontrollably crying, overwhelmed with the mixture betweensilence, melancholy, sensuality, tragedy.”
