Worth the Listen: Mickey Darling

Tired of listening to the same songs on the radio 20 times in a row? Want something new to listen to? Well, you’re in luck. If you’re an Indie fanatic then let me go ahead and introduce to you to the one and only, Mickey Darling!

Indie pop band based off San Marcos, Texas, Mickey Darling doesn’t disappoint in bringing the fun, pop vibe to keep you jamming, and just dancing your pretty little heart out. With songs from their latest release “We’ll Always Have Summer,” they present something new to the Indie pop genre that I believe is worth listening to and even allowing adding to your playlist. 

And while the D.I.Y. band hasn’t been able to tour yet for their latest releases, that hasn’t stopped the band from trying to make a name for themselves. Music videos such as “Pity Party” you can see how in their own cute and quirky way, demonstrate full commitment to staying engaged with their growing fan base.

Not bad for a couple of college kids if you ask me.

If you’re ever in need of something different or maybe even to hear upbeat songs about ex-girlfriends/boyfriends (besides Taylor Swift), give Mickey Darling a listen. Who knows, maybe you’ll just fall in love with them.
