I realized today that it has been seven years since I have spent a full spring season in Michigan. I've had glimpses, weekends and tastes but not been able to watch the gradual change of life. The grass is greener, though leaves have yet to stretch their veins. April storms now have less snow flurries and more torrential rains with wicked bursts of lightening. It is stunning.
