The Jonas brothers cover of year 3000 is basically an overrated kidz bop version but I can at least understand the logic behind some of the lyric changes, but why tf did they change Michael Jackson to Kelly Clarkson?

MJs album Invincible had just gone double platinum in the US and was number 1 in 13 countries when Busted wrote the song, outselling MJ would be something incredible, but Kelly Clarkson? Her album wasn’t even number 1 in the US when the Jonas brothers covered it

Still, it’s not as bad as their cover of what I go to school for, why did they even cover a song where they had to change the entire premise and rewrite every verse? Just pick a different song at that point…
