i am lurking on a voice blog (don't ask why..) and the impact niall had on the long term viewers in just two seasons is insane! like these two comments are crazy to me : "So it seems Buble is gonna be like Niall, someone that everyone loves, maybe even more so than Niall" and then the reply: "I think we should be excited for Michael. That being said, every time someone talks about him now, they describe him like they think he’s going to be the next Blake, the next Niall."

he is a stable now and the new coaches are being compared to him or blake mind you there has been numerous male coaches but everyone is hoping he will be a good as niall i just can't wrap my head around how easily he charmed everyone, won his two season and then just left😭🤣 and of course the many fans at his shows just from watching the voice. i hope he does more tv/entertainment stuff i think he likes it but just needs a bit of a confidence boost like when he hosted kimmel

it still blows my mind that he managed to turn the voice (famously known for a retirement ground for artists no offense but let’s be real) into such an profitable and beneficial career opportunity😭 like i have to give his team their 10s bc when i first heard the announcement i was honestly confused as to why he would do that so early in his career, but it was literally amazing. sooooo many people loved him so much and became his fan and are going to tslot right now!!

i think a lot of people, including myself, are so focused on the “online” audience- and how viral our fav can be in the moment amongst 16-29 year olds, that we forget there is a huge audience watching cable tv every night, aka the general public! and they have money and spotify and listen to music just like everyone else. so ultimately i think it was really smart that he appealed to them for a year and then announced tour bc so many fans are older and discovered him on the voice.

plus, he’s just a sweetie 😭😭 he’s so charismatic and charming nobody can deny that lol

If you like 2000s rock i really love the strokes, they can be more experimental but sorta pop rock based, their album “the new abnormal” is amazing and almost no skips for me.

What's your fav speaking and/ or singing voice, in terms of mercury sign?

When it comes to singing I have three main choices, these are the following:

Virgo Mercuries tend to have an amazing voice. There is something about the way they sing that is fascinating for me, they are very skilled at this and they are very devoted to keep improving which is such an amazing trait to have. Amy Winehouse, Freddy Mercury, Pink are some examples of voices that I like with this placement. 

Libra Mercuries have such a calming, seductive and elegant type of voice. Michael Buble came to my mind. A venusian Mercury is, in my opinion, a blessing. Beyoncé also has this placement and I love the way she sings. Honorable mention to Bruno Mars and Hugh Jackman, even if this last one is not entirely a singer, I like his singing style. Is very enchanting and graceful, with a touch of playfulness, I simply love it. 

Cancer Mercuries are so expressive, they know how to transmit an emotion, you can feel the love, the pain, or happiness in their singing. Here we have the lovely Lana del Rey or Ariana Grande for example. Soft but powerful at the same time.

In general, I enjoy listening to cardinal Mercury people [Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn], they have a powerful voice and it's so easy for them to catch your attention. When it comes to men, I rather earth or water Mercuries, with women I rather air or fire Mercuries, and as a personal preference, Cancer Mercuries too.

I’ll Be Home For Christmas (Military!Poe x Female!Reader)

a/n: Merry Christmas! this wasn’t requested, but this is my all time fav Christmas song, so enjoy. I wrote it to Michael Buble’s, if ya were wondering. 

tw: military deployment, no violence, just mentioned. pure holiday fluff.

First Christmases are supposed to be special, especially your first Christmas with a baby. But this one was lonely. Poe had been deployed a few months earlier, and nothing had seemed festive since.

You knew what you were signing up for, hell, you two had a quick wedding when he deployed the first time. So here you were, on Christmas Eve, watching lights flicker, with your dog, BeeBee, asleep against in your leg, baby asleep nearby. You had wrapped presents for your husband, for when he got back in January. You intended on leaving the decor up as well.

“Hi Babe.” Poe greeted from the other end of the skype call. “You look as beautiful as ever.” He smiled. He was in his personal quarters, and you heard quiet chatter behind him, probably his squad mates doing the same as him.

“How was your day?” You asked, curled up on the couch with a cup of coffee. It was the end of the day there, so it was the morning at home. Luckily, you worked with kids, and you were on Christmas break.

“It was pretty routine. Nothing crazy. How was yours?” He sat back against his chair, putting his feet against the desk. He always gave short answers, he wasn’t allowed to say much else.

“Pretty good considering it just started.” You smiled and he rolled his eyes. “Your daughter kept me up all night.”

“I believe she is your daughter as well.” He laughed

“No, if she cries after midnight she is 100% yours. I give up custody at 11:59.” He laughed even harder and you smiled. “I miss you,”

“I miss you too, I’ll be home in like 4 weeks.” He smiled sadly. He hated seeing you upset. Your daughter began to cry.

“Give me a second.” You sighed and went to grab her.

“Bring her over I wanna say hi.” And so you came back with your four month old baby girl, trying to console her, you looked exhausted, and Poe had one solution. “I’ll be home for Christmas..” He sung, and she stopped almost immediately. “If only in my dreams..”

You were separated from your memory of yesterday morning when she began to cry again. This time she would not stop crying, you stood in her nursery, trying absolutely everything. You checked the time, Poe wouldn’t be out of the sky for a few more hours and your own singing voice did nothing. Right before you began to cry from just pure stress you heard a slow, smooth singing voice.

“I’ll be home for Christmas…” You thought you were dreaming. “You can plan on me..” You whipped your head around, holding your now quiet daughter tightly. “Please have snow...and mistletoe…” Your husband sang from the doorway.

You just cried in response. He hugged you both and kissed your temple.

“My girls.” He whispered. “I love you.”

“I’ll be home in four weeks.” You said in a nasally, sing-songy voice.

“Well I gotta keep you on your toes.” He laughed. “You could’ve just paid attention to my song choice, babe.”

“Oh shush.” You rolled your eyes.

“Merry Christmas.” He leaned in for a kiss, and you gladly obliged.

“Merry Christmas my love.” You whispered back, careful not to wake your daughter.

a/n: I also know first hand how lonely military Christmases are, and how 98% there’s no surprise homecoming. But I wanted a happy ending. I also wrote it in 30 minutes. Merry Christmas Yall!

1. The Boxer - Simon and Garfunkel: Haha a good start! I adore these guys, and folk is my favourite genre. Genius song with a focus on narrative, and those harmonies mmmm GORGEOUS.

2. Theme of King J.J. - Yuri!!! on Ice: HAHAHA well I have been exposed. This is my favourite anime, and say what you want about JJ but you gotta admit this song is such a banger I’m sorry. It’s in my ‘confidence’ playlist HAHAHA

3. Whispers - Passenger: GUYS. Probably one of my favourite songs of all time. I have sobbed to this song so many times. If you wanna know more about me, listen to this song. The lyrics just...ughhh such a good song.

4. Haven’t Met You Yet - Michael Buble: No, I am not a middle-aged woman. Yes, I love Michael Buble, and not just his Christmas album. Just a great feel good song, ya know? Usually have it playing when I’m getting ready in the morning lol

5. I’m Not Here - Me + T: Bit of a random one (obvs it’s a shuffle challenge Sunny duh). From a movie of the same name, starring Sebastian Stan (LOVE that man). Fun fact, I had to go to counselling after watching that movie so there’s that haha, watch with precaution.

6. Down in New Orleans - Dr John: Of course Disney was gonna come at some point, right? From ‘The Princess and the Frog’, which I think is very underrated. Out of all the Disney princess movies, it’s got the best soundtrack in my opinion. Love a bit of jazz.

7. Castle Street - Lewis Watson: Very pretty, I really like Lewis’ music. He writes really genuine lyrics and beautiful melodies. Another folk artist who I love, very underrated so I recommend giving him a listen! ‘Windows’ is another song of his that I adore.

8. Don’t Let the Sun Go Down - Oleta Adams: This is the best version of this song, in my opinion. Powerful, emotional, AMAZING. I do love Elton John and George Michael, but Oleta wins this one for me. One of my dad’s favourite songs, so maybe that’s why I love it so much.

9. Anthem - Chess in Concert: Oh Lord here comes my theatre side. Very powerful, and pretty topical actually. From the musical ‘Chess’, I’ve never seen the show but my brother showed me this song and I fell in love with it. This isn’t my favourite version, because that one isn’t on spotify. I’ve linked my fav one though :)

10. It Will Come Back - Hozier: Would it really be my music library if Hozier didn’t pop up at least once? He’s in my top ten favourite artists probably. This song makes me feel like a sorcerous who has seduced the heir to the throne and he can’t resist my mystical forest aesthetic and if that ain’t a vibe then I don’t know what is.

Average amount of sleep: Well, normally between 4 and 9...but I can easily sleep 12 if you leave me to it >>’ Lucky Number: 9! I was born on 09/09, weighing 9lb9oz, just before 9h00 and apparently after 9 hours of labour c: Currently wearing: My favourite pj pants and a long sleeved olive top. I’m technically working, so I made sure to throw on a real-person shirt incase a conference call suddenly gets called... Dream Job: Honestly? Too many to choose - but I’d love to be a proper professor of modern language. Could I also be a trophy wife to a well-educated millionaire who genuinely loves me and I genuinely love them and we go gallavanting around the world together? Dream Trips: I’ve been super lucky that I’ve already gotten to do my dream trips!  I’ve travelled through Kobe, Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo (Japan) and Saint Petersburg with a day trip to Moscow (Russia). I’d like to travel more extensively through both countries though - but I do try to save more for Japan because it was nice to be able to fan over weeby things >> Fav Foods: Ice cream.
